Went it for a dual exfoliation facial with Leslie Hoagland and it was amazing! Leslie listened to all my concerns; she took the time to address all my skincare needs and really personalize the facial. Afterward, my skin was soft and glowing, and I felt amazing! The eye treatment helped with the dark circles under my eyes. The whole experience was extremely relaxing and rejuvenating. Leslie was wonderful, fun, and a great teacher. She explained which products may be helpful or harmful and helped me adjust my own skincare routine. Will definitely be going back!

Kayla was really good at getting this shy introvert to chat, but also knowing when I needed time to sit and relax. OMG!! Best experience ever! From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted and quickly met Hanna Udelhoven. Hanna is amazing! She asked the customary hair school questions about what I wanted. I showed her the picture of the hair color I wanted an she matched it exactly. Had I not been in a learning environment I would have assumed she was an experienced professional. Her attention to detail and professionalism are on par with any high end salon. Hanna checked on me multiple times while my color was setting, and walked me through what she was doing step by step so I never wondered why she walked away. Hanna also cut my hair, and applied the same attention to detail making sure that my cut was just what I wanted. Thank you to the Aveda Institute in Denver for scheduling me with Hanna, and THANK YOU Hanna for an amazing new cut and color. Today I received my first haircut at the Aveda Institute Denver. It was a terrific experience throughout, but the highlight was definitely my stylist, Sydney Merritt. She listened to my thoughts and concerns, suggested a slight alteration on my original plans for a hairstyle, and then proceeded to accurately recreate our planned style. Her teacher, Cody, was very helpful as well, especially when it came to providing a different view on how to execute the style we had discussed. Today’s trip to the Aveda Institute was better than I could’ve imagined and my return trip, in a few weeks, promises to be another red letter day if the staff can continue live up to the lofty example set by Sydney Merritt.

I scheduled a last minute appointment and the representative got me in that very morning with Marisa H. They were very accommodating. When I goth there I didn’t even wait longer than 5 minutes once I checked in. Marisa came right out and collected me. She was warm and offered me some water or tea, I accepted true tea which was really good! She went over what I was in for and asked what I wanted. She listened and we came up with a plan of action together. Marisa kept me involved and updated every step of the way and made me feel very comfortable. She alleviated all of my fears without a doubt. The entire time I was there she remained friendly and participated in really great conversation. It wasn’t an easy task to get my hair to a really pretty, true blonde but she did a beautiful job. I also want to mention one of the instructors, Tyson. I have a lot of hair and they were both so patient and kind the whole time.

Recently went to Aveda for a duel-exfoliation facial and LOVED it. I’m not into self care as much as I should be but this facial changed my mind completely-I have naturally dry skin that needs lotion multiple times a day and after I got the facial and the recommended skin cleaner MY FACE IS NEVER DRY. The facial was an incredibly relaxing experience and Haley Frazier (my esthetician) worked flawlessly on my face. Not once did I need to correct the pressure or temperature; I was more than comfortable the entire time. My appointment was at 11 but photos were not until 5pm and she did such a great job putting in the right amount of products to help my hair stay in place. She was professional and kind and wonderful to work with. They offer you products without being pushy. They have so many wonderful complimentary add on's such as a head massage or hair perfume. I enjoyed feeling pampered at a beauty school. Many other cities (other salon brands) feel very sterile and this felt like a spa. I would definitely recommend Mel!

I had gotten some very bad news the day before my appointment, so on the day of my mind was elsewhere. However, the stylist who colored my hair (I feel really bad for not remembering his name but I think it was either Austin or Allan? He had blonde hair and cool tattoos) did an excellent job! He was very thorough, did his best to make sure I was comfortable by offering water and asking about temperature preference for rinsing my hair, and he did not seem to mind me being in a rush towards the end. I had an excellent experience with him and will definitely come back for any of my hair needs. As a side note, they also offer a discount for Denver teachers from May until August, which is really nice. It's a small gesture but it makes me feel supported by the community in a way :)
