The highlands has much to offer with it shops and restaurants and they are continuing to develop more areas for additions stores and attractions. The traffic pattern can be difficult at times since there is only one way in and out of the highlands. There is plenty of parking near all the buildings.

Love the highlands. One place for just about anything you need. The only thing missing is a Sam's club and a lowes and a grocery store other then wall mart. Other then that you have lots of places to eat and shop. I go here at three times a week.

Big shopping mall with lots of shopping stores and eateries. If you like ice cream, Mooeys is a definite must to stop with all the different flavors. A movie theater and a restaurant that, at times has car show with themes from mild to wild. Of course Cabelas is the main attraction at the Highlands. This huge hot spot is the best of the Wheeling area.

Awesomely well designed platform off which prosperous & adventurous travelers & locals alike come to easily access all of their camping, hunting, & fishing accesories & equipment before heading on their treks. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was only a short drive from pittsburgh, roughly 35 mins & it was all highway the whole trip there. They have enough to cover every want or desirs in aspects that provide necessary & creature comforts when going camping or exploribg the great & beautiful outdoors! I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stock up on supplies or just simpky go for a day trip to bust the cabin fever & get to explore something new!!!

Everyone loves visiting this place. So peaceful and beautiful. Children have so many different things they can do and parents are able to enjoy themselves as well. Tons and tons of places to eat and even more places to shop. You can find some good hotels as well. Prices are a bit expensive though.

I remember as a teen the highlands used to be just a large Forest however the development has came along so fast. Tons of great places that give you options and even places to live/stay. It's becoming even larger and creating more jobs and has helped the valley tremendously.

We ate at the Fusion Japanese restaurant. it was a popular place with good food. My seat was not the best. Our grill had 10 people sitting at it and my seat was in the middle where they stack the tiny bowls for the yum yum sauce...close to the other grill.. to the right of the chef and sort of behind him. not ideal, but he made sure involve all of us.

Olive Garden is a comfortable Italian restaurant with a great selection of food. Everything that I've ever ordered here has been excellent. The staff is kind, helpful, and friendly. The servings are large. Normally I can only eat half of my meal, but that's fine because I definitely don't mind eating the leftovers the next day.

The Highlands is a new and growing shopping area. Cabela's store is huge. There are plenty of restaurants here. Parking is never a problem. Xfinity, Starbucks and Hobby Lobby are under construction and will be open by the end of Summer 2019. Convenient location from I70. Walmart has a huge store here. No hardware store yet. Needs a hardware / home improvement store to round it out.

Multitude of stores (Walmart, Target, Best Buy, lots of clothing stores, Cabela's and coming soon is a Hobby Lobby!) as well as restaurants...the best food for the best value is at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen.
