This Mall belongs to the category of Shopping mall.
Great ambiance. Hate the gact a lots of stores left the shopping mall as it is a good, place to go.
Lamest mall ever and the only stores that were worth shopping at here are closed up now lol when will they finally shut it down
It is sad what has happened to this shopping mall. It used to be a beautiful bustling place
It is just about empty only a few stores open there!!
Sears is CLOSED FOR GOOD. One has to go to Chesterfield Town Center or Fredericksburg to find the next closest Sears.
Burlington (store) is clean and well-stocked. The staff is friendly. However, if you visit at night, the parking lot is dark.
Visit the Burlington store here, it is very organized and clean. they also have great deals on clothing shoes and household items
No stores in this mall. Looks and smells of poverty. There are more empty spaces than there is occupied spaces. Please close this place asap.
Awful...it looks like the ruins of some ancient civilization. The buildings are filthy, the landscaping is overgrown and it appears to be mostly abandoned by the stores that used to be there. JC Penny is the only anchor store left and it's nice but they are the only bright spot in an otherwise sad mall.
Super empty and sketchy. For real, it’s scary on the inside and on the outside. There aren’t any recognizable stores, either. Stay at home where you’re safe!
This place is a ghost town. I remember when it first opened. They really need to bring in a good investor who can bring some good stores to the area. Maybe some stores our area doesn't have.
The place has become a mostly run down shell of a mall, more of a ghost town than any sort of social hub. You can tell every store still there regrets it. They need to just shut down already, nothing is going to save this eyesore.
Wasted space. It's been years since I've been here. Shocked to see it empty
Went to JCPenney nice clean Store Friendly staff. Not much left in that mall.
Nice mall, but a lot of empty stores inside.
This place was really good till the busses from downtown started coming around. I really think that they should just turn it into a homeless shelter... Or make it into something useful
An older mall with half of the stores closed, but a great place to walk around and buy things/ make your kids suffer
Very sad that this mall is so neglected. So many stores have closed up or moved out and it is not even worth going to anymore. It used to be fun to go and browse all of the stores and now it has become a ghost town and very unkempt.
Sad how this beautiful mall has gone downhill. Useless shops for the most part.
Most of the good stores has closed
Good when.it was there
Love the sports shop
Google took me here when I asked for a Macy's. There is no Macy's in this mall other than that the mall is nice and quiet.
Not a whole lot here anymore. Was much better once upon a time.
Everything's gone. So sad.
Still a nice mall not a lot of stores. They have two anchor JCPenny, Burlington ,Yankee Candle, Foot Locker, Finished line and other stores, still nice.
Virginia Center Commons is actually the closest mall to me and I've always loved going there. But unfortunately so many stores have closed or are set to close that there are not many options left. I'm hoping that someone comes in with a plan to revive this mall like what happened with The Shops at Willow Lawn. We really need some better shopping options in this area.
I feel really bad for the businesses that are still in this mall. The mall owners need to do something to bring it back, maybe as multi use. And tell the businesses that are still there what their plans are. Shame on you, this place is becoming an eyesore . The businesses still there deserve better!
Very good place to shopping
Big small mall every thing is leaving
The people were nice to me.
Dying mall. Still fun to go there.
Love it We went shopping to Burlington
This is not *yet* a "Dead Mall", however, I would consider it to be on life support. There are dark ends (both inside and outside) where there are multiple empty former store locations and some of the stores here are not heavily sought after (Jimmy Jazz?). There are a couple of stores that I go to where I have made successful purchases for women's clothing which was very surprising, but this mall (Food Court, parking lot and all) needs an upgrade in order to thrive and come back to life. The entire mall area is gloomy and eerie.
Mall is a mess. It has seen its best days.
This place is dead compared to 15 years ago. It's sad used to be a good place. Everyone is closing now.
Nice mall. Best Burlington Store ever located here!
Alot of different stores
Hadn't been in years and upon entering I realized why. Completely rundown. If you can get in the store you need without entering the mall itself please save yourself the headache
The mall is mostly deserved of stores.
I only give it 3 stars because I used to live in Glen Allen and it was MY mall. Went back on the way to MD and Sears, Victoria Secret, Charlotte Russe, Shoe Dept. and who knows what else have been closed. Rainbow, Claire's and Bath and Body are still there along with Burlington. It is sad to see but a long time coming. When I moved to VA in 2011 and went to the mall it was said that it would close down. I remember when Old Navy, Macy's Dillards, Payless and Things Remembered closed their VCC location. A lot of boutique stores moved in after (t-shirt printing, cellphone accessories, etc.). The mall has been holding on though. No clue what I will find the next time I go back to the area.
This place is slowly rotting and falling apart. It's sad to see it continue to crumble like this.
You just gotta see what's happened to the place, the need to turn it into and indoors skateboarding/bmx park. That's my greatest request
Ain't nuffn in this mall put sneakers, chains, and hot topic! But I still go for the sneakers
Used to be a great mall, unfortunately it has really gone downhill. I only go for the Bath and Body Works and JC Penny's now.
A bit sad. This place is the definition of a dying mall, if not already dead. Shopping options are limited. Surprisingly, there are a number of options in the food court. However they are primarily 'mom&pop' type of places. And their food is lackluster. They're obviously struggling to survive. Traffic in the mall on Friday and Saturday evenings was limited. Unless there is a renewal in the vision of the mall soon. I don't expect it to survive.
Has all the potential to be a beautiful mall with active fountains and great architecture, but it seems it is a shadow of its former self. Burlington and Rainbow are the two stores that stood out to us.
Great shopping, ample parking and great food options.
It's not worth going to anymore. My favorite store isn't there anymore so it's not worth the trip.
3 yrs ago it was a ghost mall. Barren depressing and sad.
Absolutely the worst mall in the Henrico/Richmond area. The only thing worth going there for is American Family Fitness (a gym). What does that tell you about a "shopping mall"?!
Had fun got shirt made and took a family picture
most of the shops are closed... what's there is extremely outdated. Got some really good deals. Department stores closing is always a plus.
All the good stores that kept people coming out to VCC are gone. I'm literally just waiting for them too tear it down........
This mall is dying a slow death
Fun, Fresh, Friendly, and Family oriented place to go!
Thia place was better a few years back.
There is no longer a Sears here, it closed a long time aho... catch up google
Awful mall ac doesn't work hot
Sears was closed. But there is no information on website. We visited on Memorial day.
This "loved it" is because I love checking out deserted places. If you are looking to shop in a mall head elsewhere. If you want to walkthrough and see a 3/4 abandoned mall with mostly "stores" that look more like garage sales and the random actual store here and there. I didnt notice this time but last time I went noticed they just kinda reopened the old Chick-fil-a as "Chicken Sandwich" or "Chicken Burger" whatever it was cracked me up.
I wish I were able to give this mall a better score, but to even call it a mall would be a stretch. It's a ghost town! Hardly any stores, and the food court has tumbleweeds rolling through. If you're looking for sneaker stores or Hot Topics that would be your only reason to visit. Oh and Burlington is nice (pretty big).
This place is the definition of a dead mall. Most of the wings are either completely, or close to being empty. The building is kind of spooky to go into with so many spaces covered up or gutted, and anytime we go there's so few people it doesn't help the situation. The shops that are still there are fine, but there's so little left there, one the Hot Topic is closed, I'll just be hitting the Target across the road.
Roaches-i Am appalled. Went to kay jewelers as website said 9:00 close and they were closed at 7:45...got icecream and sat down and roaches were literally crawling everywhere. Huge ones.
The epitome of the dead American shopping mall. 80% of the units are unoccupied and the corridors are dimly lit and vacant. I remember its heyday when I was a kid, its gone way downhill since then
This place is a joke of a mall don't waste your time
One word...DOA.. Dead!! Good bye my old friend!!! 20 years ago.. was just a hot spot!! The cobwebs look old now. Miss the good old days!
We were very disappointed. There were many more vacant store than operational ones. Victoria's secret has been closed long enough that the only clue to its existence was lighter paint where letters once were. I suspect that the mall is closing. There is a for sale sign offering a building of April equal sq footage on 9 acres which would about the size of the mall in its entirety I would not recommend anyone I respected go there
I love this. It’s has sprawled into a melting pot of people from all over the world. Also it’s my school. I am always excited to see the hustle bustle.
Another dead Mall. This one should have went out of business 15 years ago. Now it's just a bunch of ghetto people and white trash. Most of the stores are closed inside.
Place was deserted as usual and the AC in the main part of the mall was lacking. Didn't buy anything as clothing stores are very limited.
Everything is closing please add more popular stores so the shopping center doesn't die
Sadly, this "mall" has decreased to a wing of existence, if even that of a building. The stores that remain are not always consistent in Customer Service causing an understanding of the decline. It is shameful this location has not had worthy Investors to return it to a thriving location or allow the stores and shops inside to continue and create something with the mostly dead space. It is an excellent location and could be a beacon for the area. Poor excuse to blame the Short Pump Area for the decline. There are Malls thriving right near outlets and such not too far north, to be exact. Yes, the online ease has caused Shoppers to skip the physical building and opt for convenience, which has put a dent in many business. However, a savvy Business Person/Investment Group should do their due diligence and consider turning this location to a thriving space for various business models and ideas. The proximity of the three nearby Hotels, the Highway, and Interstate would bring travelers and local residents alike. Think!! What is needed in the area? The Shops across the street are excellent but not competition. Offering choices OR reconsider the "mall" idea and think of other avenues to pursue and bring to life the space. Shameful space wasted. Eyesore. Revenue and positive traffic flow should be the focus. With all the nearby developments of new neighborhoods springing up, a quick run to this area is a welcomed exchange at times versus the jaunt to Short Pump or points further North. Brainstorm. Speak to other areas with similarities in demographics. This could turn out to be the best kept secret and still other retail locations, mentioned previously, would still thrive. Do not give up on this space. Allow the out-side-of-the-box Business person to exercise their plans to bring this space to grand existence. Food for thought.
The mall is slowly and painfully dying.
Pretty much empty. Waste of space at this point. I love the gym attached though
cuz they wouldn't open the door an let me in.. hahahaha
20-60% off going out of business sale. Cheap quality men's shoes. Work type boots were better. There were good bargains to be had in other departments. Looked like many items were marked up. Best thing was everything in store on sale but you needed to know what the item was selling for in other stores in order to get the item for a lower price
Place was nice years ago to visit. Now with so many shops closing and everytime I would visit I would see empty spaces, probably because of the shortpump mall. Oh well I have nice memories here at the very least
A shell of an old dying mall. Sad to view. Sadder in person.
Sears is out of business. Mall is practically barren! Was thriving only 15 years ago! WOW!
Mall shopping is great so much variety
Eh.... some corridors are empty and I swear there are more jewelry stores than anything else in this place so whatever with that.
Love sears but just to expensive
The killer of 2 malls (Azalea and Fairfield) and the torturer of a third (Willow Lawn). But now it's suffering itself. Sears, and Macy's gone. JcPenney and Burlington are on stakes. I don't know if people plan to do the same they're gonna do to Regency, but if it's gonna happen, make it quick. There's been too many dead and demolished malls in Richmond's history of malls.
My husband said this was a great mall at one time. That him and his friends used to shop here all the time when they where youger. Now more the half of the stores are closed and the ones that are still open are using limited lights. And the restaurants in the food court the employees who work there look like they don't care anymore. As for the building itself it looks like it's a ghost town the parking lot needs work trees need to be trimmed grass needs to be cut and the building needs a very good power washing. I would say I wish the small can go back to its Glory Days when everything was booming I would have loved to seen this place and its heyday
Its a beautiful mall but looks like its dying out unfortunately
Used to LOVE it. Worked there at several places. It's just gone to sh*t, now. Time to close down:/
Tour a dead mall before they are all gone. :(
Not many stores or options here for me. But I love the gym that’s connected to it American Family fitness
Sad place. Time to rebuild something more useful for the area now.
Kinda dark in there but the stores i went for had great customer service
Able to order items online and have them delivered to store with no shipping fees.
Not much left of this mall since most of the big stores moved out. I hope the new buyer will help get the mall going again.
The stores that are there now are good but there closing down so many of them it's making it worst!
Still a nice place to go,like going to Burlington Coat factory and Nike’s .
I used to love this mall years ago. This mall is just dead now! Willow Lawn is doing better than VA Centers!
Nice dental place inside but this mall is died
There are some great stores in the mall but it's very run down and empty.
