Here we offer you all the reviews of real people like you who consumed the products and services of New River Valley Mall (Mall) in Virginia.
To this day the business has a score of 3.8 over 5 and this score has been calculated on 1789 reviews.
As you can see its rating is really high, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the evaluation is very credible. If many people have bothered to give their score when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to place evaluations when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Mall corresponds to the category of Shopping mall.
Good sales, cleaner & less packed w inventory, nice service in handbags
Don't hate it's nice and clean
Loved it clean mall looked like it wasn't a hangout for trouble makers of also had nice resting areas
Its really gone downhill, a lot of empty stores. Still a good place to hang out though if your a teen
I've been here many times in my youth good place to get things that are update
This mall will never die. Nee Ulta store. New other stores coming in. Red Robin s good too
It is crazy how much disrepair this building is in! There is black mold growing in the ceiling in the old food court cause someone is incompetent enough to not know how to fix a roof leak... Multiple areas around this mall have food leaks that cease to be fixed properly...
Parking is terrible unless you have a handicap plate/placard. I went to one store for certain items and I got excellent bargains.
Love going here to shop
Needs more stores but other than that I like the makeover improvements in decor and the new stores are cool
Only go here for my eye brows but dang she's the best around
Update: HomeGoods is opening March 2019 and Ulta is coming. Food options are pretzels, a coffee shop, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream and Cinnabon and a hotdog stand. Previous review: It is a shame what this little mall has become. Empty. The food court is gone. The Belk, Victoria's Secret, Bath and Body Works, American Eagle, Kohls, Dicks, Hallmark, Children's Place, and a nail salon have hung on.
There is not a lot in the actual mall part itself but for what it does have its not a bad place my family and I like walking around there
Nice stores, clean and great for an exercise walk.
A good mall, but used to be better. Not a huge selection of stores. Just opened an Ulta and a couple other new ones. They have Dick's Sporting Goods, Hot Topic, Spencer's, Bath & Body, White Barn, and a few more.
Giving 4 stars due to construction and several loved stores and closed and gone from the mall.
Very nice atmosphere. Bought some shoes. Not lots of people there and wish there were more. Liked walking thru stores. Every store was well stocked, clean and neat. I hope our malls do well. There is a lot to say just getting out to shop instead of on-line shopping. Support our malls!
I don't like to blame technological advancement, e-commerce, economic factor(s), or change in consumer buying habits.....as negative influence and/or cause&effect and detrimental to brick&mortar sales and services decline and deterioration.......ITS ALL DUE TO THE LACK OF ENGAGEMENT. When it comes to catering to/satisfying and providing any services to people you have to interact and engage along with being with a level of quality. When I work on projects for sales and marketing my focus is always on being active, interactive and engaging. I personally base my integrity of serve and quality on this simple/basic principle(s): "Participation Over Profits because proper engagement creates leads of residual visits and such retention is imperative for increased visibility. This mall is not engaging but Ulta BEAUTY IS ..... SO LETS SEE IF THESE NEW AND UPCOMING OUTLETS /VENDORS can rekindle the engaging fire the NRV mall had with previous owners like PREIT. some of the addition have had me return cause they are captivating and engaging . See How ThaT WorKs? Best wishes for NRV MaLLz future .
A nice small mall with good staffing in most of their stores. They have pretty much everything other malls in the surrounding areas carry in regards of clothing, utensils, and sporting goods. Only negative is that when it comes to food options there are only 2 in the building that are not coffee or ice creme based(at the time of this review) but there are many choices surrounding the mall itself to make up for it!
Decent mall though it seems to be waning. No food court atm.
Nice small-town feel with what you need
Was only here for the annual touch a truck..... great parking
The ways have something fun going on
Nice matketting area for people of Blacksburg and Christainburg.
Starting to get a few more stores..finally
Mall dying but home goods is awesome
The mall has great space. It is big and beautiful. The staff is so nice. They greet us when we go in the store. Great business. It is so fun to shop here.
Such a great variety of stores
I just work at the Dish site in the empty food court.... SAD, SAD EXCUSE FOR A FOOD COURT
Stores don't last very long here. The building is old and somewhat worn down, with as many empty store fronts as there are, it can be quite chilling walking around. The bathrooms have not been updated for numerous years. Around Christmas, the center of the mall is lively with people out and about to get a photograph of their children with Santa but the rest of the year, its better to drive and extra 45 minutes to a decent shopping mall.
I love this mall, I literally go to this mall every weekend. Only downside I would say is they dont have a food court. I missed going in and seeing restaurants that I could eat and shop around the many stores they have but they now have a empty space and it's a huge empty space. But they did just add a home goods store and its killer. I love it and a gym so its getting better.
A lot of empty stores but clean and a lot of the typical stores you would expect, ex: Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret, Spencers, Dicks. Food court is currently closed.
Nice collection of shops. Great location. Nice trail out back.
They took out most of the good stores I liked
This mall is kind of funny... It's sort of small, and has had a lot of stores in and out of business. There are the few big stores and a handful of smaller ones in between. The food court was entirely empty of food places the last time I was there, but there is a Cinnabon and a Pretzel place in other parts of the mall. Usually I find myself here for either the photo booths, the children's play place, the shoe store, the Claire's, or the Victoria Secret. There's also some New River Community College classrooms there. Sometimes it's like a ghost town and sometimes (like around Christmas) it is the place to be. I guess that's what to expect from a small town mall! I do appreciate it, though, and am happy it's still there.
Very nice mall, friendly warm environment. Only giving 4 stars because a lot of the shops are vacant/out of business. Plus all the restaurants in the food court are out of business. The only food places are Ben & Jerry's and the Pretzel place.
The mall is really starting to die, they charge their tenants way too much for rent and stores are leaving
The movie was great and the seats are comfortable. The problem is they never have enough staff. You have to wait in line forever for tickets and food. Today I waited almost 20 minutes to get popcorn and a drink. With the prices they charge they can afford adequate staffing. It is really ridiculous.
Went to the relaxation spa and had a massage I highly recommend it they are great.
Clean mall, good stores, nice ambiance.
No food places to speak about. Security do not pay attention, and onenguard, older guy, thin, white hair, is very rude.
We enjoy going and looking around, it is a very pretty mall, no food court, and the play area for little kids had bigger kids playing and running around. We were not happy about that.
Visited kohl's to pick up my order and to shop love their children's clothing you can find many nice things on clearance.
They have a lot of stuff at fair prices, no shipping charges.
This place is pretty dead. No food court, any food that is around is expensive for what it is. This place is not even close to what a mall used to be.
Seems to be a New Mall, some stores are not present yet but "coming soon" signs are present for variousoys well known stores. The people seem friendly and educated. I had a very pleasant experience there walking and shopping with my 13 year old daughter. Hot topic was there and the staff person was very friendly and made good conversation during our checkout. Stop by if you are in the area.
This particular mall has a decent selection of stores, including a cool comic shop, but the lack of food options seems odd given the size of Christiansburg. There are a lot of individual stores in adjacent lots but this mall has certainly seen better days.
improving a lot recently with with store options.
The mall is always evolving. So excited that Home Goods, Kirkland's and Ulta are opened. Always great events, loved the Direct Sales show, always my favorite. The Cut is the best place to get your hair done. I visit the mall frequently. It's clean and the staff is friendly and professional!
Nice mall we can eat ice cream and shopping
This place has some great stores. Valley Vapes is amazing. However, the Sprint store employees lie about Sprint cell phone service. Every other store than Sprint Wireless is great!
Excellent cinema experience, but $16 for a decent drink and popcorn is simply outrageous. Guess that's an American thing so I won't judge this particular place for that. In Sweden a similar offering is $7
This mall is like many others in that it is slowly going downhill. Still some decent stores but I would look elsewhere first before going here.
Love this mall, friendly staff, clean, lots do do & see. I go mostly for the awesome Hallmark store, since all 5 Hallmarks, sadly closed in Roanoke.
Lots of shops , kids luv it, although they took out most food places
Not many food options and they need more then 1 children's area
Had a great time perusing the shops!! A good variety. Easily accessible.
It's not the worst mall... I've been in malls with more vacant storefronts. It isn't a big mall, so don't come here expecting that. Basically, it's just a mall so kind of depressing and nostalgic and it will probably be gone soon...
Local stores like NRV Comics and Games keep me coming back, and new stores are appearing all the time! Great place to burn time.
A dying remnant of a time before online shopping. Half the stores have closed down in the past two or three years and have been replaced by a Planet Fitness, Dish Network, and New River Community college. Other than a comic book store and a Maurice's (only ever find these at outlet malls) there is really nothing in this mall that you wouldn't necessarily find in any mall in America. And good luck trying to find something to eat. The food court has been gutted and there is only a, albeit very delicious, pretzel shop and small cafe kiosk as far as food and refreshments go. Will take you less than half an hour to walk around before you leave.
Not much in there. Sadly many businesses seem to fail after 1-2 years. Some nice stores are there. Virtually no food or restaurants are currently inside. Unless you want a pretzel.
There could be more to do there
Great selection of stores, well kept, all staff in the building is always nice and polite. Especially in the mornings and on week days there are many people who just walk the building for exercise, it always keeps this place friendly. There are no places that feel unfriendly or barren, all stores are clean, as well as the mall itself, and always have items of value, it is also well sectioned with types of stores being around their kind e.g., Sprint and Verizon are across the walkway from each other. They are also open to new stores and help small businesses get off the ground when they can. My only complaint is that the food court has some empty stalls and is never really full or has many items of interest so it's not the best place to eat. It being across a parking lot from Regal Cinemas is also great if you're waiting for a movie to start or want a place to spend a day and have fun. The child playground and rides are also very fun for children and are very friendly, safe, fun, and well located... although it is right in front of Victoria's Secret... so there's that.
Everything is leaving... No food court, no urban athletic shoe stores, no Sears, no pretzels place... what's next...
My grandsons and I went in just to look around. Its pretty quiet, and a good place to just check things out at.
Great place to fix my phone
Absolutely awful. 50% of the stores are out of business. Food Court is gone. Of the few stores left all you have are jewelry stores, cell phone stores, and salons. It’s not even a mall anymore. Just awful
Solid, clean movie theater. Staff were friendly and helpful, there was plenty of food and drink options (though expensive). The best part is the reclining leather armchairs. Enhances the experience greatly
cheerful, clean, great advertising..food court smelled amazing!Area was well lite.Stores had great advertisement.and window shopping
Nice clean mall but no food court
Needs a food court. And to many businesses that are not mall related. Like a community college and a dish TV network call center.
The malls dying. The anchor stores are the only reason anyone shops here. The only food in the whole mall is a pretzel stand. If they dont get their act together soon itll be closed in the next 5 years. 20% of the mall is a college, another 20% is a dish call center, and a third 20% is planet fitness. Theres more vacant shops than full ones it seems.
Very clean mall with plenty great shops.
You call this a mall? It's attached to a community college, it is scorching hot I am surprised the health inspector hasn't been called, there are no stores at all to shop in, you would think a mall that is so close to a prestigious university like Virginia Tech would have stores suited for the community but nope we all have to go to roanoke. Also can we please ask Bath & Body Works to calm down on the scents someone is going to have an allergy attack walking that way.
Lots of stores are closed, and it has no food court to speak of. It does have a couple unique stores like a tabletop game store and a tea/gift shop, but as an overall mall it's not very impressive.
This poor mall ... I've been going there for basically my whole life. At one point, there was a decent array of stores (the same kind you'd find at most malls), but it seems to really be struggling lately. Lately, it feels more like a flea market than a mall - the quality of some of the stores is pretty low and there are a fair amount of vacancies in the building. With that being said, it always seems to be clean and well maintained. But I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
Nice place with a lot of known stores very quiet wish there were more activities
went to Dick's Sporting Goods very helpful people
