Wine tasting, cheese tasting, alpaca petting, this place as a little bit of everything without being to boring. Have fun enjoying all the stuff to do here
I could have spent the whole day browsing all the antiques they have in the mall. The Cabot farm store always has nice tasting samples available.
Love the train model set there
One of our usual stops when we are headed to the area, whether we staying in town or traveling through to New Hampshire or Maine. There are often Aplacas outside to feed during the warmer months. Adjacent to the antique store is a Cabot tasting room with lots of cheeses for purchase. The Antique store itself is a trip through memory loan. And they have great clean restrooms for a break during a long drive.
Great shopping for unique gifts
Amazing views
Fun time. Lots to see
The little restaurant on the left is amazing ! The food is delicious and the prices very cheap. The service was also perfect. Everytime I'm going to Boston I stopped here to eat and relax.
Seriously, set an allotted time aside. It's so easy to blow half of your day here. Not that I'm complaining. But there's treasures and trinkets at every corner. Like a free museum if you're just there to window shop. Also, make sure to set time aside to visit the alpacas!
Now that they charge for the toy museum and have done away with the train set up it no longer has quite the draw.
Great place to poke around. All the shops are fabulous.
I always enjoy this stop even though I have been dozens of times. It is a bit touristy with one step up from T-shirt shops.
Always stop here while in Vt! Its a must if you love antiques
Love to visit here
A little something for everyone at the antique mall, free samples of all Cabot cheese at the country store, free samples of local liquor at the Vermont Distillery, all besides the gorge itself, which is a short walk away and very beautiful. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
Lots office shops great information lots of great views and trails. Enjoy ice cream and a snack bar
Big diverse antique store, Cabot cheese store, snack bar at Gorge, and the alpackaca store. All these places make the drive to the Gorge worth it. What makes this a 5 star review is that there is a one of those little steam trains that the kids ride that goes around the perimeter of the property. When we arrived it was not running and the carousel was shut down and my severely autistic son had a fit. The guy who owns the place grabs one of his buddies and they proceed to get the engine running and ride my son around on this train 4 or 5 times and then they get the carousel going. So go here if for no other reason than to support people like this
Great place
My favorite shopping place!
Could not find anything we wanted to take home, but just walking through was great.
Awesome antique mall! Well worth the time we enjoyed there on vacation!!
Go check out the Alpacas!
Very coool
It is really touristy. Prices are higher around the area. There is an antique mall that if you like browsing, you can peruse for hours. There are other interesting establishments. Of interest to me was the Alpaca shop that have a number of soft goods. Next door is the space for the Alpaca farm. The animals were so cute, soft, and squishy. For a quarter, can get a handful of feed to feed the animals.
Alpacas were cute
Really fun place with so much to see. Some of the shops were a bit pricey,- $200+sweaters, $900+ jacket, $300 hat. Other places were reasonable and enjoyable. Worth checking out.
Nice little outdoor mall.
Nice people. Interesting stuff to look at, but lots of touristy things. There's a Cabot cheese outlet that has good deals.
Always some interesting things there.
There were free cheese samples and all of it was delicious.
Beautiful landscape, well kept trails, the gorge is worth visiting. The village is well maintained.
Oh my, I could spend all day looking around this huge treasure chest--in fact I think I may have spent most of my day there. I can't wait to return. Antique tools, toys, collectibles, etc. If people collect it, it can be found here. I would definitely recommend them to a friend.
I love to browse! Great place to spend the day if you like browsing antiques!
Always a nice visit. Giving it 4 stars only because the website says they close at 5:30 on Sundays but it's really 5 pm. A few of the workers were very rude when I told them the info was wrong and told me I should have arrived earlier!! A sour end to an otherwise great mother's day.
If you like a slower pace, friendly people, unique, and yummy cheeses. You may want to take a nice weekend drive. From Dover, New Hampshire to VT, it's about an 3 hour drive. They also have things for kiddos to do.
Had to drag my husband out of there!! So much to see in the antique mall! He could spend two days there and still not have seen and touched everything...lol
Must see the alpacas and Cabots Cheese.
Great for all
A great place to stop on a road trip. You've gotta check out the Toy Museum. It was amazing. Best vintage to now toy, board game, lunch box, collection. There's also a diner which we'll have to check out next time.
So adorable! Toy museum a must! Loved the trains.
Nice spot to spend an hour or so. My daughter loved feeding the alpacas. We browsed the candy store and bought some treats. The Cabot cheese was my favorite part. Who can go wrong with sampling cheese. We tried some new flavors and everything was reasonably priced so you can purchase what you liked. The toy museum was cool, it's nice to see toys marked by era and comment on what you played with as a child. The train display was nice and cool to see it running. Admission to museum is free, please kindly leave a donation.
This is the largest Antique Center I have ever seen I could spend 2 hours here
Nice
Nice roadside stop
Loved the shops
Nice Vermont stop, great shops.
Great shops for souvenirs. Been going for 30+ years.
Great place to stop and ck it out.
Many venders in one setting. Attached to other tourist stores. Near Queechee Gorge
If you like shopping for trinkets and souvenirs I guess it's fine. I happen not to.
Had a great time finding tasty cheeses and other Vermont specialties.
Cute little place, a must go if you have free time, you will feed lamas or wondering around antiques.
Such a fun spot
Good small town vibe.
Our group of 11 visited the village because it looked fun for the kids. The carosel was a good time for them, even though it looked very rundown, and the train was unfortunately broken (they said it'd be fixed the weekend after), but all in all it was a good time. One highlight was the alpacas...they were so cute and friendly...and another was the toy museum, which my husband and I loved. There were plenty of photo ops with props and stuff for the kids, tons of antiques to peruse, and all sorts of odds and ends, including homemade fudge, a candy bar, and a bunch of different Cabot cheeses. The only complaint, besides the train, would be the bathrooms. Two stalls in the women's bathroom for that many people...need I say more?
Wonderful place to visit. People so very nice and helpful. Antiques at their best. Cheese tasting lots of fun. All the little shops have interesting finds. We love our visits to Vermont.
It a pretty cool place the antique mall is great
Great stores, food and the best ice creams ever
Quaint. Nice to check put. Never know what you'll find
This is a family favorite of ours. Growing up we'd travel from Maine to New York to visit family. We always drove past here and stopped in.
Very funky cool!
Nice little gift shop. Nothing out of the ordinary. Same old souvenirs as all the others. Didn't visit the restroom so can't comment on that. Staff was friendly.
Wonderful place to visit with expanded antiques shop, Cabot selections, wine, and more! Fun day.
We go here every year on our annual vacation to Vermont! Love browsing through the many antiques and tasting all the different Cabot cheese samples at the cheese bar. There is also delicious fudge in the same building.
Great place with Antique Mall to spend a quiet day exploring. The Queechee Gorge is a great walk with views and seats when you get tired. Lots to do and a great area to explore
Absolutely breathtaking. Definitely a place to go and go again.
This place is cool for a walkthrough or if your looking for vintage cast iron. Otherwise it's a bit of a tourist trap but some traps are worth falling into
It's a fun place to visit. Lots of things to look at. The samples are delicious. But the antique place has become more Collectibles then antiques which is sad to see. But is a fun place to spend the day lots to see. And the flea market will be starting up soon so it's worth the visit.
Quaint little town with good tourism shops. Close in proximity to each other. Good for souvineer shopping. Also some store have samples. Overall cute town and awesome view of the gorge from bridge down the street. Walking distance. Gorgeous view of running water in gorge below.
So much fun & things to see even in with snow on the ground.
Love the stores restaurant has new owners not crazy over it
The Cabot store is a must if you love cheese. My Wisconsin roots we're thoroughly satisfied and they have great discount prices. All the samples really allow you to find the perfect cheese for you.
Very nice place!
A lot of nice shops. And antique stores and a lot of one of a kind things. Places for kids to play. And some good restaurants.
Yep... something for everyone..... unique and antique....fun road trip stop.
Tourist trap sort of retail place but the two restaurants there serve excellent food. Bring a good DSLR and the gorge itself offers a ton of good shots.
Great walking path. Nice area. Interesting slections.
Definitely a notch above other little cute strips of stores in the VT area. Stores are affordable and have an interesting collection. Pro tip: LLAMAS!! make sure to walk behind the mall to find them hanging out in a pen there.
Don't just go for the shopping, check out the llama rescue too! The shops really do have something for everyone!
An inviting tourist trap. Worth a visit.
We always enjoy browsing the different booths and ofcourse feeding the alpacas is a must.
Very nice shopping center. Some cool places and nice to walk around.
We love stopping here on our way to New England and back home. Love the shops!
Great antique mall and an awesome candy shop ....they have different and unique gifts ....great place to shop
This is a fun place to see both new and old things. They are a Cabot retail store and have a sampling table and sell many Vermont made products. They have a nice selection of foods and wines. Next door is a massive antique store (plan at least an hour) and other little shops all in that plaza. In the summertime, on Sundays, they host a flea market. There's even a Christmas store. They also have a diner.
Great shopping mall for antiques, household decorations, many of Vermont's fine treasures and the toy museum always takes you back to your childhood days.
Holy! Really loved how each shop connected with the other. It has quite the assortment of items
Food was good
Pretty cool! Feed the alpacas for .25 cents. Cute alpaca store, too! Everything literally has an alpaca on it or something is made with it.
A must stop for antique Lovers, cheese and wine enthusiasts
This is a great attraction to get back to nature. The hike down looks virtually impossible but it is actually quite an easy trail with minimal steep inclines. Easy for families, strollers and men pushing 50 (me).
Lots of stuff. Great fudge
Love stopping here, Cabot cheese is my favorite place
This place is awesome!! I loved hanging with the alpacas and I tried tons of Cabot Cheese and Putney Wine. Vermont is pretty amazing, and it was a stop while visiting the State for the first time. Everyone was friendly and the shops were nice. The gorge is just a short walk away and offers a very scenic photo op.
Really quite place to stop
What a great place! I could spend a lot more time here and will be back for sure. Came in the winter with a friend. I'm sure summer will be more inviting on the outside to stay longer. Staff is very friendly and always available if you have questions. Professionally I did not really expect and was pleasant surprised!
Spent Christmas there, loved meeting Robin and Gary. Toy shop is AMAZING!!!! Cafe has delicious food - hearty breakfast every day!
It's a great place for visitors, with a beautiful deep gorge near by, great shops to buy local products. Sampling is done in shops to help you pick the right cheese, wine, etc. Also has some lamas in a compound. Most exciting is VINS ( Vermont institute of natural science) has cool place for Raptors. If you love birds you will love this place.
Unique items for sale
Great little village. I love the variety of shops. Can't miss the Alpacas and Cabot cheese. Love the liquor and wine tasting options as well.
Have found some great gifts there
Good food at the snack bar.
Gorgeous view and such an interesting place to sample various products especially Cabot cheeses.
Really cool place. I will be back. Especially for the distillery.
Beautiful scenery. Had a good time at the shops
Lots of items in the antique section. Free cheese samples and gift items. Even a little train for the kids.
So much to look at
Great place to stop and taste Vermont treats
Always a great place to get lost for a few hours and love going to Sunday outdoor flea market in the summer. When you go don't forget to taste the wine, rhubarb blush is my favorite
We really enjoy checking this place out when we make it up this way. My only complaint is that they all close at 5:30! We got there at 5 after a visit to Montshire Museum. Not enough time to visit everyone. But the cheese sampling is delicious and we always bring home a few delicious blocks of Cabot cheese. Staff was pretty friendly as well but you could tell it was the end of the day and they were ready to go.
Lots of options for food and fun. Great stop while in the road. Jams for sale are amazing. Cheese samples are plentiful and fresh.
Unfortunately has gone downhill over the 20 years I've been going. It was never inexpensive, but at least had great finds. Last 2 annual visits were unproductive, neither myself or companion purchased anything. Also reduced women's restroom from 3 to 2 toilets which causes long wait line on holiday weekends. We are considering dropping it from our trip.
Great place to shop they have a store with what ever you are looking for from food to antiques.
Awesome placed to go with your family! BEAUTIFUL, unique, and quirky shops and staff! :-)
Great outdoor flea market, there are antique shops as well. Definitely worth stopping by.
Liked the shops here.
Good variety of products
Fun place. Lots of cool stuff but a wee bit expensive.
It's super cool
Some antiques.
Loved it! Best cheese sampling around!
Beautiful place - a 'must see'. Great shops, unbelievable scenery
Oh mercy. Where do I start. Ok my fav place the alpaca shop. Well right after I go visit the alpacas outside in the pen. So darn cute. Then I must check out the gorgeous alpaca yarns. So squishy. Love the new colors that were available this time. Lisa.. the owner is so nice to chat with. My daughter bought one of the alpaca shawls. It is beautiful. Then there are other shops to browse through. Candy. Small toys. And last the cheese and wine shop. The samples of cheese are amazing. I always buy several diff cheeses to bring home to share with friends. And also I must buy 6 of the dog cookies also. Lol. My pets are spoiled. There is a small train ride. No I haven't done that yet. And a carosel also. Just a fun rest stop on my trip from cape cod to VT. Please do stop in. You won't be disappointed.
Nice touristy shopping.
This was a fun place to stop at on our trip through Vermont. We enjoyed all the cheeses and filled our cooler. They had a mini train that was fun for the kids. Would recommend stopping here to anyone.
has something for the whole family.
Cool place with lots of souvenirs. I was able to find something for everyone back home here and the prices were pretty reasonable. They also have amazing fudge
Many fun shops! Fun cheeses to test
Allot to see.
This place has something for everyone. There is a little merry-go-round, a little train that goes around the whole complex, alpacas to see by the Alpaca store. All the stored are connected inside so you can walk through all of them. I liked the toy store because it had new stuff along with older games. There is also a big antique store, a pet store and a few others I did not get to. A great place for the whole family.
Lots of small shops all connected and wonderful sampling of Cabot cheeses. Enjoyed browsing and picked up some special jam.
They have ALPACAS! And you can enter their pen and pet them for a small fee. Sometimes there's a feed dispenser out and you can get a handful of feed to feed the alpacas. Their lips tickle and they're adorable and soft and make cute noises, and they are made of magic. Lots of cool goods along the strip that make for great gifts or personal knick-knacks. Make sure you go to the backside of the cheese place so you can try all the free cheese at the sample table. And the Vermont Antique place is really, really cool.
Stopped for weekend flea market.
Really cute, large selection of stuff to buy and there's Alpacas
Very nice Vermont apparel a lot of authentic Vermont things Cabot cheese great selection just a great place to shop and visit
Love it. Great gathering of small Vermont shops.
Love the alpacas!
Love this place and make sure to visit whenever I can. Love the Cabot tasting stations, the llamas, and my very favorite, the antique mall. I ALWAYS find something here for a decent price. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Something for everyone. Plus it's right next to the gorge which has walking trails. Lots of wins!
A lot of cool stuff
Really cool spot. Souvenirs, Maple products, antiques, junk.
Neat little place. Definitely aimed toward the out of state customer base. Way over priced of a lot of stuff. Really don’t think they care
Awesome place!! Didn't get to see the gorge because it was raining. But did get my cabot cheese, Vermont maple syrup, some honey and preserves before we headed home to RI. My grandson absolutely lived the candy section, he was amazed at the lego candy
Very nice stores. Fun to sample cheese and fudge. Bathroom smells old but is fairly clean.
Accidentally came upon a flea market outside and ended up buying something from it. The people are mostly friendly here. This was a suprise trip for me from my loving husband. The area is a tourist area but absolutely beautiful. If you like old antiques and stuff it's fun but prices can be a bit ridiculous ( I found a skeleton cup that the Dollar tree sells, selling for $6.00. I'm sorry but you have to be living under a rock to actually pay that price. Anyway there are many different little shops as well. All fun to shop in. And the Vermont Spot fudge is a must every time we go there.
Yes, a touristy area, but some unique finds inside. A winery had tastings of unusual flavors like Rhubarb wine; It was delicious. A Cabot Cheese shop where you could taste the many flavors. A toy shop, gift shops, an antique mall ... something for everyone. And it is just down the road from the Quechee Gorge.
Love going there. Shops are excellent and have unique items. Easy drive. Also check out the bridge.
Great shopping. The toy museum upstairs is amazing. Cheese tasting is awesome. Love me some Cabot cheese.
Great Tourist attractions
The Alpacas are the star of the show but dont miss out on the awesome antiques inside. Also sample all the types of Cabot cheese! Beautiful hand made jewelry...something for everyone!
Great little place, nice stores
Very good diner in this village. I loaded up on an omelette here before my race at Killington and it was a great choice. Definitely a must stop location on the way to the mountain.
We had a great time shopping !!!
What an unexpected treat. What a great place to visit. The antique section was really cool and even more so the toy museum was amazing and very nostalgic. I recommend anybody in the area go visit. Great great Vermont products to buy including local beer and maple products check it out.
I love this village. Without question I go here every time we get up this way. Great fudge, putney wine, antique store, etc
This place is so fun to visit. Sample all the delicious Cabot cheeses and spend some time touring the expansive antique shop.
Nice store. I also like that they have different samples of cheese and things before you buy them.
Beautiful all together the. Gorge is a must see and all the little nick nacks are great
Have been here many times over the past 10 years. Unfortunately not the artisan place it used to be. The toy museum is probably the best part if you enjoy a trip down memory lane.
