REVIEWS OF Trolley Square IN Utah

Christian Denny

Really cool set up and reuse of buildings. Felt a little empty but was still interesting to see how the developers integrated new shops to the old station.

Anurse H

Great shops and restaurants! There's a great novelty store called "Cabin Fever" and an all natural bath bomb store. We got some Christmas shopping done here. Parking is good and when it gets busy on the weekends, they have attendants in the lot assisting everyone with parking.

Todd Burk

Neat place with lots of unique shops for gifts and home furnishings.

Albie Hamilton

Great shopping, with unique and interesting stores. Check out Spark for some fun apparel!

Garren Lewis

Kinda sad place to visit.. Not that many shops.. Im curious how much longer they will be around And the shops they had there. Was horrable

MACTackleBox

Lovely shops in a very quaint location. Weller Books was wonderful. Comfy chairs to sit in and to look over all the books you want to buy. A big section on Utah history and practically any other subject you can imagine. The folks who worked there were kind and very helpful, but didn't hover. We left with some books that were on sale for prices lower than Amazon. The star of this shopping mall was Tabula Rasa! If you are looking for special pens/pencils, books, artisan soaps, Men's shaving supplies, hand paint paper from Japan or any other well made gift you could possibly think of...You NEED to go to this shop!! We met the shop's owner (Lovely, Kind Man) and two gentlemen who worked there (very knowledgeable, helpful and sweet). They were kind enough to let us stay a few minutes after closing and they even gift wrapped a few of my items. We walked out with all kinds of goodies for our loved ones and a few for ourselves. Finding this wonderful shop was the highlight of our trip. :)

Johnny Brose

Trolley square is way better with all the new renovations. Came here for the little ice cream truck inside by Rodizio and got the dipped cones. Would have got the key lime cones had I known that was an option. Parking is very limited outside the parking structure.

Ashlyn Wright

Underrated mall. I love the old time atmosphere

Lauralei Baty

I loved this place when I was a kid it went down hill and they have made some improvements recently but the 2 floor has maybe 2 stores open the rest is vacant. Also the bathrooms are all keypad codes so you have to go into a store to get the code which is really inconvenient. I just wish they made a bigger effort to add stores and maybe advertise and make it more family friendly.

Andrey Tyshchenko

This a nice plaza with upscale boutiques as well as an old books store. Whole Foods is available as well. It is also a nice place to take a few pictures (an old tram carriage) , old repurposed buildings.

psydalone 801

Nice place dont shop there , but i enjoyed looking at the historical photos on the walls of the South east building

Jeremy Nuttall

Love this place! Quite a variety of stores to visit and a great historic building to walk through. Free parking to boot!

Shane Gamangasso

Great place to hangout at.alot of fun places to shop.and eat.

Dave Schle

Nice small mall built in the old trolley barn. Visit the Tibetan clothing store and Tabula Raza, perhaps Utah's premier stationary store. A few restaurants and clean restrooms. Parking across the street if the surrounding lot is full and you get to cross the street in the elevated walkway. Also a trolley museum

Dominick Mares

Fun to shop or just to walk around

Spencer Kagie

There's not a lot of stores here. That's the only downside. My two favorite stores are Whole Foods and Tabula Rasa.

Okay so this is a topic I have been struggling to write about in the Salt Lake Area, the old malls. Including, Trolley Square and the Gateway. So, I grew up in both of these places and it makes me sad that they are overlooked and in the shadows of City Creek and Fashion Place. Trolley Square is a good mall, but it doesn't have any stores that I am particularly interested in. The only places I go to is the Precious Eyebrow Designers (which I love) and Normals Ice cream... As a result, I don't go there often.

Bob Butler

I love this historic place . Whole Food's is worth shopping at though the prices are high

Alexandria Wells

Great place with fun restaurants, workout places, a grocery store, boutiques, and more.

Michael Christensen

For me three stars is it good rating 2 Stars is service as expected four stars is above and beyond what is expected and the five star rating is reserved for freak accidents involving amazing experience is that rarely happens if at all. I like this place because of the history and the museum like feel. You almost forgets about the shooting that has occurred. It's strange do you put up some title memorial for the victims or sweep it under the rug like it never happened and ignore it I don't know probably best last up to the victim's family. It's really more of a high-end bring a date only kind of place if you're a single person there really is no reason to be a trolley square, whole foods is snooty snooty and even there you feel out of place if you're a single person shopping so find a date eat some spaghetti look at Raleigh Barnes shop at whole foods go to Vintage vantage vantage vintage is the best and you can be a single person and go there because they're cool

David Copfer

That'S my AMAZINGLY very special place I'm ALWAYS AND FOUREVER and FOUREVERMORE going two keep ON going two trolley Square two hangout with family and friends

KC Fralick

Reilly Square is one of the coolest shopping spots around. You'll definitely find unique items here

Raha Mehrkish

I absolutely adore Trolley Square. It's an old-fashioned mall that's different from the rest. While walking around, you'll see photographs with descriptions that show what Utah was like from many decades ago. It's really cool to see how everything used to be compared to what it's like now. The stores here are also very unique. My personal favorites are Spark and Cabin Fever. Spark has lovely clothes and accessories, and Cabin Fever will give you a good laugh. Aside from my favorite stores is Coffee Connection, a cute little café with tasty drinks. I enjoy coming to Trolley with my family, especially during Christmas season when they put up a huge Christmas tree and have a fun and loving Santa for everyone to meet. This is also a wonderful place to come and take pictures. Many couples and groups will come here before going to a dance to take memorable pictures. Overall, this mall has a feel of its own and is one to take in and appreciate for all of its unique aspects.

Paige Blood

A fun hidden gem! Lots of things to explore if you have the time. Will definitely visit again!

Ryan Doying

A beautiful piece of history! Me and my wife love visiting here and exploring it's classic architecture and fun unique gift shops and book store that's there.

Adh T. Stevens

You've come a long way Trolley Square! I remember you as being kind of sketchy 25 years ago, but now you've gone and gentrified. Nothing wrong with that. Now you're clean and modern, a pleasant detention for family and friends. Personally, I go for the Rodizio. Good on you.

Logan Affleck

Trolley square is clearly focused on attracting a trendy crowd. With vintage-style shops, clothes departments, Google Fiber, restaurants and their own water tower, this location tends to draw anyone in. The location itself is a bit of a walk from public transit, so it's best to drive and park elsewhere due to the limited parking.

Trenton Hills

a cool order placed turn into a modern stores but suggest going to the stores or just to explore

Sam Kem

Because this is downtown, and on the corner of some one-way streets, it can be challenging to access into and get out of. The upside is that a lot of this place has been renovated and it looks nice. Good selection of restaurants and retail here. It would be nice if there was more parking available.

Special K

They have parking available the square it's self is great and clean. Went to prom here and the venue was great with enough space.

Zachary Andrus

Nice little shopping mall to check out.

Roni Eckley

I absolutely love the history of this place. They have a TV where you can sit and watch short videos of the history. Enjoy an ice cream while learning a little history of Trolley Square and Salt Lake City in general.

Heidi Hoffmann

Wish there were a few more shops inside, feels a bit abandoned, but the ones there are good, a couple very unique places. Never crowded.

Camille Cutler

We went to the Olde Spaghetti Factory for dinner. They were able to seat us quite quickly and the food was scrumptious.

Savannah Cracraft

Trolley square is historically special to SLC- Used to house the trolley cars that ran the trolley system, which used to run our town. The space has been converted to a mall with dining, shopping, and trolley square historical info. If you are visiting salt lake city, this is the most interesting and historically special mall to hit while here. Pro-tip - the tower outside changes colors depending on the forecast.

Melissa Hernandez

This is a great mall. If you like food, this is the place to come for great food. Although they are on the more expensive side, it's very worth it.

Heidi S

Cool mall. Old Fashioned bldg.

Arn Heggers

Unique little shopping mall. There are some pretty fun stores, but the variety is limited. Plenty of space was open and ready to be leased, so hopefully some more tenants move in.

BJ Wake

Whole Foods is a great place to shop

Matellen W

Only one good shop and our meal at spaghetti factory was not very good (it usually is very good)

Marilee Cooke

Fabulous. Had lunch at Spaghetti Factory. Good food, great service.

Rebeca F.

Really fun place. Lots of things to look at

LaRita Clark

It use to be such a popular place hardly any stores in it now. Sad

Paul Ricketts

Not bad. A few select shops are nice and the restaurants are mostly good.

Jeff Adams

Neet place alot of history very clean and good parking

Danyon Greymoon

I know there's a controversial history with this place, but I think that should be look past by now. This place is really cool, I really like to hang out in it more than other malls that don't have movie theaters. It has a good selection of food from Brazilian to Italian. It's got good designer shops in it that are unique like the spectacle. That and it's got a pretty good coffee shop in it. Also if you're looking to do a wedding I went to a wedding here once and it was lit! Everything here gives off a very steampunk vibe and I just feel cool walking around.

Chris Rogers

Such a cute little place to visit

Zach Miller

I've done here for more years than I can count I've always loved this place it is still absolutely awesome to go to now that it has expanded there's a lot more stores really close by and in Trolley Square so it is definitely worth the time that chalk Garden is one of my favorites to go to as well as the Himalayan Tibetan shop that's just next door across the hall I was able to buy the most beautiful alpaca wool hoodie that zips up so warm so soft so beautiful I couldn't be happier go check them out they have tons of Thai fisherman pants awesome shirts beautiful scarves and pashminas and tons of other stuff and the price won't kill you it's really quite reasonable especially for the quality that you are getting and I also know that the owner makes quite a bit of the merchandise themselves and they do have a lot of clothing made out of rayon as well

Paul

Beerfest is the best at this place! Great selection of shops and love the environment.

Sarah rodriguez

What an amazing old building. It was really pretty and antique looking inside. All the little stores in the building were so cute. We ate at the old spaghetti factory, which was really nice.

Sean Spargur

Pretty much a dead mall. Many empty stores, very little foot traffic. Rodezios and Williams Sonoma are all I frequent.

Cyndi Zimmer

Nice place to meet up with people Casual and comfortable atmosphere. Inside or outside eating. Very friendly staff. Definitely will go back and refer this place to others looking for a group get together, or just a quiet spot.

Kyler LaRose

Awesome atmosphere with lots of activities around the area!

Jane Morrison

Ate dinner Old Spaghetti Factory...managers favorite. Never fails me. Yum!!!

Morgyn Morris

Real cute place. A hidden gem of Salt Lake. On Wednesdays they have food trucks come out to the square. The store are very unique and hip.

Breanna Tinoco

A neat place excellently laid out. The book store here is awesome!

Megan Jensen

It's nice for a less crowded experience.

Matthew Myers

Fun place with history, but currently under renovation. This place definitely needs more businesses as well. But over cool. I love Weller's Book works, and the Clockwork Spectacle

Zack Poulter

Most of the mall is empty. But all the same, this mall is eclectic and unique. And the stores and restaurants that are there are interesting finds. They have an amazing independent bookstore, this awesome little gift shop place and good quality restaurants. So no, you won't find a million square foot mall with 100s of stores, but you may just find something totally different and unexpected.

Jaime Capener

Great atmosphere. So fun just to walk around. Very unique shops. I find something to buy every time!!

Brenna VanCampen

My husband and I love this mall! The history behind the building is way cool, and it is great to see the inside of the building and how they incorporated new shops into it. It is also quite a sight to see during the Christmas holiday season. There aren't a ton of shops here, but the ones that are here are great. We like to frequent the book store, and Cabin Fever has a really fun collection of things to shop for. Normal icecream also has a food truck in here, and their icecream is amazing! The museum is always fun to cruise around in as well! We are fairly new to the area, but we have brought every person who has come to visit us here to show them around.

Terri Dexheimer

Diverse shopping with an Old Spaghetti Factory a win win!

Chad Russell

I used to really enjoy coming here when I was a kid. There was this old toy store and arcade that bring back warm memories. I also remember the old Taffy factory here. Good, good times. Now, it seems abandoned and without spirit. But I guess that's how it goes with shopping malls nowadays.

Art Mowad

Outstanding Brazilian food.

Tracey Jablonka

Cute shopping center. The Old Spaghetti Factory is there and it is delicious food for a awesome price!

Kaylee Kristine

Very high class place, sadly doesn't come without the highest end pricing and some snobby "high-class" shop keepers but for the most part people were nice. Too much reconstruction has been going on for so many years and I can't say I like how it's looking at all. The best thing about trolley square was their massive indoor pond that they took away. Really too bad. I bet my kids would have loved that as much as I did when I went to trolley square growing up. Which is why we took this trip to trolley square in the first place.

Matt Taylor

Beautiful shopping center, with a great historic look and feel! One of my favorite restaurants resides here!

Diane Keating

First time they are very nice place went to the Old Spaghetti Factory just love the little shops near

Cheri Lenhert

Loved it and went to Whole Foods.

Jim Devenney

Nice shopping area. Pleasant atmosphere

Utah Lites

Awesome shops, classy people and even more kind shop owners. The shop keepers were very friendly, welcoming and its such a cool place to go to in the summer.

Ryan Peck

This place has changed since 2007. Not a variety of stores, movie theater changed into a used book store, not as much fun, but it's hard to be fun in a place that has faced such tragedy

Sarah Kline

Love this beautiful building with so many great shops!

Broque Mackenzie

Went to rock show tonight. I hadn't been there for ten years or more. Trolley Square is a historical piece of old Salt Lake City. Respect the square.

Kiah

Still has some room for improvement but trolley Square is doing better than in years past

dancepepper

It's a beautiful place even if you don't go in any of the stores like I did just go there to watch people and enjoy the beauty

Deya Valera

I really don't know how that place can be so isolated. It was full of people and store before. I used to do my hair there, too. People's ways of buying is very different, now!

Claudia Oyuela

That place looks abandoned. It's very pretty, they have a nice area for children to play. They even have a piano. Barnes & Noble is gone. They still have GameStop and Victoria's Secret. The movies are nice and they sell goodies.

Madison

A little bit Kitschy, smells interesting...

Kari Shepherd

Had a blast at the Donut Festival here.

FAKE NAME

I love coming to this shopping center. It’s always a nice place to visit. I really hope it doesn’t close down. Lots of shops have moved out and the elevators are shut down a lot. However, the mall is beautiful with the stone floors. There’s also this really nice bookshop inside and rodizios. Which are two great places in this mall.

Jessica S. Clinger

Not much going on, which is sad because the building is pretty cool.

leroy draper

I just love Trolley Square! Watched movies at Trolley Corners when I was just a kid. Love the Old Spaghetti Factory here too!

Jeremy Berger

Trolly square is such an iconic mall. It's getting quite work down and MOST of the suites are empty. It is a shame to see such amazing place go to waste.

Miles Borcik

Restaurants are good but other than that I would have no reason to return to this shopping area. Very limited selection. A lot of empty places for business to rent. Doesn't seem to be thriving.

Hollie Pryor

Had a great workout at Legends Boxing then yummy food from whole foods

Sanni Klotzköpfige

Great building, nice shops. Always wonder why it’s not packed.

shawn bachman

Home of The Spaghett factory, sad to see this once grand landmark so empty. Please people go back bring back the square. Remember how great it was, visit those that still remain, return to that more will follow. Let's bring back the square.

Tawnda Littlewood

Such a beautiful place! I've lived here my entire life and never visited before! Love the shops and the spaghetti factory has a trolley inside to eat in. Absolutely fell in love with the atmosphere of the entire place!

Cole Sloan

Great mall, on the spendy/trendy side of things but eclectic food options and interesting stores. Haven't seen the trolley museum though (only open Thurs, Fri evenings)

Rex Thomson

Great place for many things

Jason Jordan

Well preserved, old-timey feel and a fun visit with kids. They have the best mall Santa in the valley at Christmas in my opinion and you can take your own pictures. You can walk part-way up the tower stairs, but to get access to the top you need to schedule a tour. The Whole Foods here has great, healthy lunch options and good seating area inside. Head over to Gilgal Sculpture Park for an interesting trip afterward.

Phillip Cox

Best all you can eat at the spaghetti factory

Aonika Russell

An excellent little mall with some unique stores to walk around in. Shopping crowds are light here, but the area is safe, and clean and easy to get through to do a little shopping in stores that are not your average J. Crew, run of the mill stores. Also, I believe that Trolley Square is historical? We could not find any plaques while we were there, but it was really nice to see the aged brick and the grounds were kept very nicely.

Trae Collier

Nice venue for the Utah Design Exhibit

Kathleen Lopez

Old spagetti fsctory wonderful as alwsys

Corby B.

I love this place, historical and well-maintained. Too bad so many stores are leaving. Always can find unique stores here. My main place I'd come to is the Spaghetti Factory. Which has been a favorite of mine since they opened up here many years ago. The best part about this shopping area is, it is always clean.

Mark Slater

Historic shopping mall.

Helen Mar

Fun and interesting place to visit. They have a really cool novelty shop and a really cool steam punk place with really interesting items

Derek B. Marshall

It is an old fashioned place to shop and much smaller mall to actually enjoy shopping, it may not be big, but atmosphere is charged positive

Jeffrey pitt

Fun mall, always some unique stores.

Hau Ho Trung

Good for kid to enjoy fun on tower with pumpkin smash

Monkey Brainz

Always nice to visit. Interesting stores you won't find elsewhere in Salt Lake City. Pretty easy parking. Restaurants to groceries... Plenty to do to unwind or window shop.

Frank M

Was nice to walk around. There are more stores here than it intitially seems.

Robert Olson

Great place with fun charm and character.

Gregory McGinn

The place in pretty empty, vacant retail space. A couple good restaurants.

Michelle Barnett

Easy free parking, great, niche stores, from local sweethearts like Normal Ice Cream (Which I can't recommend enough) or We Olive (wonderful!), to well known places like the Spaghetti Factory or Whole Foods, this mall is the perfect mix of eclectic and familiar. I really cannot recommend it enough. If they keep increasing their popularity they may need to expand parking, but other than that everything is pretty much perfect.

Suzie Steiner

Great lunch at Whole Foods.

Niki Williams

Such a beautiful place. I just wish it had more stores inside. Miss the taffy place.

Jeffrey Boynton

Amazing as usual!!! It was a young ladies biryhdsy, probably late teens. They were dancing and having a blast in one of the many glass walled multi purpose spaces. Parking was ample and the inner mall was strewn with party going teenagers. If I were seventeen again I'd beg my dad.

Vinh Lu

Trolley has a lot of random vendors. But Normal Ice cream and Rodizio Grill makes this a well worth-it visit. The parking can get pretty full during weekend and peak busy time. But it’s still worth checking out. Rodizio Grill is on the second floor and Normal Ice Cream is right behind the east entrance.

Glen Palmer

I have not been here for many years but it's still there and seems to be self sustaining even though nothing is new or particulary exiting. The Whole Foods is new but a smaller version of most and the fresh food deli was amazing, especially the Indian / Asian self serve buffet.

Nathan Carlsen

Good place! Lots of cool features! It is a little bit confusing to navigate through but it isnt to bad. Plus rodizios grill in this place is absolutely amazing! Delicious food!!

Linette/Ronnie Steele

Then mizithra platter is very good and the Personnel is very friendly

Brogan Nilsson

I love the rustic look and feel, and the selection of stores fits most people's needs.

Kim Smith

Oh, I JUST love it - ( I even love the anchor restaurant Old Spaghetti Factory - there FOREVER) and it's cousin Trolley corners - even though they lose great Restaurants (!?!)

Jay Fre

always changing, always fun to explore, eat or shop. Sometimes parking is a challenge.

Dean Wells

Very cool place. Was at the Spaghetti Factory

Gonzalo Reyna

Walking distance from home great shopping mall air-conditioning.

david

Cool shopping area, with Whole Foods...

Marika Trimmer

Awesome shopping center. Conveniently has my atm there and my favorite bath place. Not to mention whole foods is there too

Leebebb

I love spending time in this area. Especially this time of year.

Doris Jung

The stores are great. Need more of them. Spaghetti Factory is unparalleled.

Misty Buck

Great historical building. Enjoyed watching the video on it's history

真善美C

Wish the map for the mall is better. Take ne awhile to find my designation. No information desk. Sucks on this part.

Julia Bradshaw

We enjoy going. We love the pop up shops we get to shop through! A great feel for a night out or just an afternoon out.

Jennifer Hazeldine

This shopping mall has an awesome layout! I only wish it had a few more common mall stores. The stores in here are very unusual. It does have an amazing fine jewelry store inside with some of the most unique rings I've ever seen. I don't come here too often, because I rarely shop at these particular stores. It does have a coffee shop and ice cream shop inside, which is fun!

Rebecca Stone

For the love... you have to ask for a code to get in the bathroom from one of the stores... so after you’ve raced to the bathroom with your 3 year old you now have to track down a $&@&& code. Not worth the trouble of coming here. Ever.

Timber Bustillos

this mall deserves more praise to be honest.

Aaron Day

Kind of a ghost town on Sundays but that's to be expected in Utah. Really clean and well kept. Rodizio is where it's at.

Mark Hahn

I love the spaghetti factory. However it does have a creepy feeling when roaming around. If anything, go here and pray for the lost

Zach Flippo

Nice shops but I love how much they preserved the old buildings

Laurel Roberts

Trolley Square should be named as an historical landmark... the place is almost too nice!

Frostburg 3061

Super cool! The sad thing though is that the trolley square model and narration thingy swallowed my quarter, and did nothing.

Kitgag Smith

Really pretty place, quite a classic mall in downtown. If you're around, stop by for a visit!

Jody Cahoon

Rekha, is awesome. Love this place lip/brows this time tint next.

scott norcross

Awesome little mall really enjoy the factory feel and rustic/steampunk interior

Omar Arrieta

Great food options and unique shops to broese. We'll kept. Only issue is parking. You'll want to carpool. Would also be nice to see less vacancies. Need to consider a project to reignite this place.
