I came here during the day with the “fam”, even though it’s just my son and I now it will always be the”fam”, and this Walmart seemed alright. Later, I was informed that this is the “stabby” or “scary” Walmart. They recommended not coming here at night alone and just going to the other Walmart. You’ll probably be fine, hopefully, but the other Walmart is definitely nicer. 4/5 will probably come again.

It is difficult to rate. This Walmart is always so busy and the people shop shop there can be extremely self centered and rude. The staff is almost always nice but the freezers are perpetually half empty and they just barrel through people with their machines and such.

A shout out to two wonderful employees. Chris in Customer Services was very helpful and courteous replacing a set of windshield wipers I left at the register two weeks ago. Darrell in Frozen Foods is always pleasant and helpful. When the cases were being reset 2 weeks ago, he went into the back to find the frozen fruit I always buy. Thanks to these two and the many others that make shopping there pleasant.

Went to cash a check because of blizzard coming today waited in line for 45 minutes with 13 people behind me 3 left I went say names but tami didn't tell us sorry for the wait didn't call another employee to help inky to tell me my Minnesota license was invalid even when I had my yellow papers waiting for a sd license. Not the first time TAMI has been an absolute joke. I will be going to the other Walmart from now on.

Pretty sure they hire all their employees from black hills works and if you want anything done not even managers can help because they also are from black hills works. Self check out was probably the smartest thing they ever created for that place. Now if they'd get ride of all the 100 year old employees so it doesn't take 1 hour to get a damn battery tested.

I have used the online shopping app 5 times or so and overall I am happy with the experience but this Walmart, in particular, is always out of numerous items that I order. I don't know if it's the management of this store or if it is the Distribution Center that supplies this location, but it sure would be nice to have better in stock position.

Who doesn't love Walmart. We know where everything is, friendly, helpful staff. One stop shopping. I cut my finger on day while checking out, I am on blood thinners so it was bleeding everywhere. They called the store nurse, manager and janitor right away. The manager even took pictures to keep on file. Great place to shop.

If you can find things on your own it's great, like most Walmarts they have a little bit of everything and probably something pretty close to what you're looking for. It seems like they're perpetually short-handed, though, so check out may take a while and if you need help finding something, good luck.

Visit was ok but the personal shopping is hurting the walk in consumer. The shelves are often bare and so selection is at a minimum. I understand the new program but I highly doubtful the goal is to cut down on foot traffic. Adjusting the stock levels would help greatly.

Stood in line to get a new phone on Black Friday. Made the appointment for the next day. Had to wait approximately 2 hours to have phone connected/activated. But service was EXCEPTIONAL! AJ at the electronics counter deserves an A+ and a promotion/raise for his professionalism .

Their grocery pick up service is great! They are fast and mostly well stocked on almost everything. I left a review on a survey I got and took off one star because they were out of my cereal and gave me a different flavor, but gave me an additional box instead. I did not realize that they have to give you the same quantity or more (I ordered a 26oz box and they only had a 20oz of the other box) so that is why I got the other box. The manager (I think his name was Dennis) called and explained this to me, and I appreciated it as I did not know this was their policy, so they were just doing their job. It’s a bit of a learning curve for the consumer, but I am glad someone explained it to me as I did not understand. They are fast, give me fresh produce, and it’s very convenient, not to mention that the staff who come out to your car to put the groceries in you car, are super nice & friendly. Thank you for your hard work, I appreciate the awesome staff & also them giving me education on how this new grocery system works.

Sadly, parking for handicap people has become harder because of the new sideways parking spots for one car, that could easily fit four or five regular angled handicapped spots in the same space. Please consider removing them and making them the way they were.

The people in the automotive repair department were extremely helpful, professional and polite. Thousands of miles away from home the rental car suddenly needed an oil change on a Saturday night on a holiday weekend. At the time of my visit they were very busy. They worked it into their schedule. Got it done for the price they quoted. And they got it finished earlier than expected. Well done.

As a touring musician, my husband and I are on the road 8 months of the year. I always fill my prescriptions before leaving home so that I have enough for the duration of the year. For the first time in 8 years I found myself running out before we arrive home again. Shouldn’t be a problem because the prescription is held at our Walmart in Texas. Today we had enough time to get the prescriptions filled before hitting the road for our 300 mile drive. At 9 a.m. I called and spoke with Diane in Pharmacy explaining our time frame and the prescriptions required. One of the items could be filled completely while the second would only be filled for half. As I only had enough medication for two more days., I agreed. Diane then had someone count how many pills were available to ensure there was 90 tablets. There were 90. Diane put in the order to be filled for me. Asked to be given an hour to complete the order. At 10:30 we arrived at the N Lacrosse store. The clerk told me they were only able to fill one prescription as they didn’t have the other pills. I informed her that I had spoke with Diane and they had confirmed they could fill half. This then required someone else to get the medication and count to ensure there was in fact 90 pills. Yes there was, they would now fill that prescription, could I give them 15 minutes. Asking why 15 mins, we’ll they have to count the pills of course. Uh, you just counted them, all that should be required is printing a label. So off we go to wait our 15 minutes, returning to pick up 20 minutes later. Still not ready! Seriously! Another 8 minutes the prescription is ready, we pay and go to walk away, no, must see the pharmacist first. I inform the clerk that I don’t need a conference with the pharmacist because I have been taking these prescriptions for years. No must se the pharmacist. Go to pharmacist’s counter, where she reads the names of the drugs to me and puts them in the bag! My time is valuable, I called to ensure all would be ready so that it should be two minutes to pick up and go! What should have been two minutes turned into half an hour! Not impressed, will be taking my prescriptions to CVS from now on! Incompetence or lack of communication on your part is not acceptable. Not even an apology!

My mom had bought a tent and an air mattress about a week before the Sturgis motorcycle rally and we opened the box they never told us that we couldn't return it if we opened the box and they had said they had new rules come out about a week ago preventing us from returning the product even though we never use the tent and had a receipt we only took the tent out to see how big it would be and put it back in box so either they need to let us come in and return it cuz that rule was not in effect until after we bought it

There are two Walmarts in Rapid City, SD. If one were to go to the Money Center South Side for a pick up of money services, NOT until you get to the counter is one told that they are not doing pay outs because they have been suspended, and sent to the Lacrosse Street Walmart. Upon arrival I find myself to be the sixteenth person in line because there is only one worker behind the counter; as I look around in disbelief I find at various times (up to) six associates - three in yellow vests standing around doing whatever it is that Walmart Associates do when they're doing absolutely nothing. *I recommend using the app because it is significantly quicker than any line.

I was traveling home to another state when I seriously needed another set of tires to finish my jourey.on a Saturday evening no less. This store was the only one willing to help me. The automotive staff was absolutely swamped that night and apparently many other evenings before. They were the the friendliest, hardest working, very under staffed department. Everyone had a smile, a kind word and really busted butt to get me back on the road safely that cold rainy night. I can't thank you enough for getting me home safely that night. On Vacation from WI. Got a flat tire, had to be towed to Walmart (my car came with no spare) we got there at 7:55 and they closed at 8. The service manager Tom or Todd, still took us in to help us. He asked one of his techs if they would stay late to change the tire. A women (wish I got her name) stayed late and changed out our tire for us. The level of customer service from all parties involved was outstanding! I could not ask for more. Thank you!

We got through the store pretty quickly. They have Walmart pickup. It looked to be a pretty big Walmart, but we only stayed on the Market side to get a few things and left with 2 bags.

This was a great Walmart. There was a big event going on around town, and there were a lot of people camping in the parking lot. This WalMart had a great selection of groceries and everything else you'd expect in a WalMart. Their washroom facility was also very clean, and likely heavily used, but clean! I was happy about that. The self-check out lady couldn't help us with our discrepancy in price for an item, so we just opted to leave it, but we were happy with everything else!

Stoped in a little over an hour before the service center closed. We were passing through town and had a screw in a tire. The service department was busy and short staffed but the woman working got us in even though she was an hour past her time to leave. She was friendly, professional, and we greatly appreciated her going above and beyond to help us get back on the road in spite of everything.

Store was DIRTY. If there was any food on the shelves, (which a ton of stuff was just plain gone) the product was extremely unorganized. Bathrooms were disgusting. The service at the checkout was at least fast and friendly. If possible, go to the other Walmart in town.

Dont take a purse in here if it looks like a backpack...no tolerance policy in place. being treated like a criminal for having a non-standard purse is just bad business. picture of the purse in question. I was made to take it back out of the store, then had an asthma attack (meds were in the purse) because i hate being treated like a criminal. Other women walked in with huge empty purses, but because they had both straps over the same shoulder they were not bothered. Hire store security if you have problems, dont harass honest people. They also stopped a woman with a service dog (dog was wearing a marked vest), they held the dog at the front of the store.

Why are there people with fully loaded carts and only 5 tills open? Lines were 5 and 6 people deep. Took me almost an hour to just get checked out. That's why I usually don't go to this Walmart. Always the same issue.

WORST hair salon experience by far. I asked for a cut and style, simple curls nothing fancy. 3 hours later, my shoulder length style when curled barely made it passed my chin and I've so far found 1 super long clump that still goes passes my shoulder. One of the other hair stylists said, guys what do you think about"...the one cutting my hair interrupted and yelled, "NO I DIDN'T DRINK ON MY BREAK" She also poked me in the eye 3 times. I'm pretty sure the manager needs to pull her until she completes treatment or supervises all her jobs. Don't drink at work people!! Come on.

Should be a negative one. Tried to pick up money with a military I’d as I’ve done for years customer service rep told me I needed something with my address on it. I don’t live here why would I have something with my id on it makes no sense any other Walmart I could pick this money up. Went to the other Walmart had no issues even a customer service manager lied. This Walmart is awful an full of liars I’m done with them. Is this how Walmart treat veterans help me understand?

I take it this Walmart has a lot of theft...the employees consistently stare suspiciously. I see them do it to me, I see them do it to other families. I saw them bag check a family who had one grocery bag. I understand Walmart in general gets a bad rap, but this one in particular is pretty bad compared to others. Please, people - go to the Walmart on the other side of town, it's cleaner nicer, and the employees don't have as much of a condescending attitude towards their guests. The employees here [for the most part] are pretty terrible. But that's Walmart. This is specifically the Lacrosse street one, not the one on Stumer - that one's okay.

Manager allows shoppers to bring in dogs not identified as SERVICE ANIMALS to roam the store. If the Manager does not enforce this law for public safety, then just take down the sign that says Service Animals Only and let EVERY shopper bring in their pets.
