We visit this shopping center several times a week. It has the best Fred Meyer in the area. The Fred Meyer has a bank and pharmacy. It has a good Ross. It has a Jamba Juice. The best Muchas Gracias. Good location.

I find this mall to be nice for the most part. It's the young people who frequent the park across the street at the max stop that has given me bad bad taste in my mouth as well as a large population of the area. Shootings, robberies, killings, gang actively, drug distribution and much more. The mall itself is fine. Its sad.

Easy to get to with plenty of parking. Major public transportation hub with both bus and light rail. Mall has just about everything you want and do not want. Good restaurants and a large Fred Meyers. Also homeless in the area and have seen the police catching shop lifters and a bike thief. I rarely visit this mall, one place I do stop at is a Mexican restaurant on the northeast corner.

For about the last six months I've noticed when I go to WinCo I have people coming up to me in the parking lot asking for money the other night when I was there I was approached 3 times for money I said something to the nighttime assistant manager about the problem he said they were aware of it but there was nothing they can do that sounds like BS to me this is there parking lot they can control what goes on in on their property

Very convenient. U can go grocery shopping, get a hair cut, eat and buy new clothes all in the same parking lot. Plus there is even a dentist. Just make sure u are aware of the time you go because it gets very crowded and busy

A few people in line, I noticed right away the line was moving quickly thanks to Naya who seemed very professional and genuinely helpful with all of us being helped. The staff at Fred Meyer are always helpful, always happy to direct you and always knowledgeable. There's a few staff members I'm on a first name basis with, and they always have a smile. Keeping in mind the location is in the Gateway area, which may be why security is a little tighter than your average store. The only complaint that I have is the fact the floor level screens with cameras that detect motion and chime when you move, all this does is make me leave the area. If I need to look over the shelves and decide on what craft item I need, I don't need a double chime sounding when I pick up an item to read the package or even purchase it. Other than that, good store

Everything but gas station here. Restaurants, clothing, coffee, game store, fredmyers, cumputer and office supplys store, doctors office and hospital. One stop mall I've shopped, eaten, had coffee and used service's in many of these businesses. Never encountered anything but professionalism very customer oriented. Great place to do business.

Gateway has a lot of great stores but also the worst of the community all pass through here regularly. The theft/robbery, car break-ins, drug use and general crime zone feeling of the area is a major drawback. Be sure to lock your car doors, be vigulant if taking the max after dark, etc. There has been a shooting and a gun involved shoplift in the past couple months alone.

Not well maintained. Not secure. There are frequent parking lot altercations, frequent incidents near the max and parking lot. I don't feel safe around here, and the constant decline of the actual structure and surrounding stores is disheartening.

It's alright, but the people in this area are kind of scary. There have problems with aggressive people who have used aggressive force, threatening, flashing weapons, drugs, shoplifting and stealing cars. Definitely lock your car and be careful after dark. I've had creeps try to come up to my car sometimes. Shopping is great though, just be careful in the parking lot.

what used to be a fabulous smaller shopping center now full of thieves. really unfortunate when Fred Meyers lock all doors except grocery doors in the evening. Kohls also suffers from a lot of shoplifting. Very sad to see all the negative things happening in the Gateway/Parkrose area.

It was not a bad shopping experience. Except for 3 female's, should I dare say thought that they needed to give me Problems. I had a voucher for school supplies since I am going back at 62 years old. To be a Peer Support Specialist, the women did not think that I was moving fast enough at customer service counter at Gateway Fred Meyer. I had been doing exactly what the employee had been asking me. I was following ( proceedure ) his lead as far as buying thing's on a State Issued Voucher. These women trying to Heckle Me is what they were Trying To Do To Me. I had almost lost it, and then I thought, I needed to just practice what I would be tought later this month in school. To be honest, my first thought was to just loose my cool and lower my standards as they all had suddenly started with me, when the employee and I had almost been completely finished. But I stopped my First Reaction and suddenly began to think to myself, What Would Jesus Do ?,. In our time 2019, correct ? Secondly My thought was I had lived this already very young and in Grade School, also I thought this would possibly be a Sinario as in Roll Playing Situation For Me To Learn At Gateway Fred Meyer, this last Thursday afternoon here in Portland Oregon. A Learning Experience For myself, at the least. I guess the main Heckler, must have thought that she may had not have been as Embarassing All by her self, without including the other Two Lady's as well. But as walking away from the Customer Service Line; I told everyone there, May God Bless Bless You All. And my Brief anger diminished. Thank goodness for where my thoughts had actually gone too. You all take care, and God Bless You Also. I am not Holly than them possibly, but I did control my thoughts that the main Lady was Trying to bring out of me. I just needed to wake up this morning to answer how my Shopping Experience had been, at Gateway Fred Meyer. And it is Sunday, and so on that note, now I will be going back to sleep well. Good Day !

Well my husband went in bought a sandwich for himself. He bought 2 peaces of meat for his dog. But nothing for me. But he an dog where in very bad accident. So I went back in with the only 3 dollars cash I had ask what ever meat they could give me for his dog. They ask what happened I explain he hit the back of smi. The dogs eyes popped out. Firefighters rush boo to vet hospital. They saved her life. So I wanted to get her a little bit more for for today. As they put it together they asked if I had eaten. I said no but really I am fine. Just want the dog to eat. So they gave me 10 slices of meat an said no charge. It was the love from a stranger who feed boo for me that day. Thank you so much.

Gateway shoping center has a nice Fred Meyer, it is patrolled by Portland Police at all times because the transit center is across the street and there are a lot of people. This is the reason that it is one of the nicest cleanest Fred Meyer's in Portland. As for the rest of the shipping center there are a variety of stores and food which usually makes it a convenient one stop shopping.

Went to office Depot to look for paper and couldn't find what I was looking for at what I'd consider a reasonable price. Employees were very helpful and nice, but I can see what the internet shopping has done to that store specifically. Used to shop there often.. . years ago
