When I need a department store which isn't often these days I go to Dillard's because the clothes are way better quality then Penney's and the staff is usually really helpful. Sometimes I need a tie for my very tall husband and there aren't a lot of places that sell extra long ties anymore. They also sell the best quality swimming suits which are a thing you don't want to but without trying on.

Great makeup go to place! I went in today and Heather took care of me! I love the way she did my makeup especially my brows! I am definitely satisfied and will be going back to see her and will be buying makeup from her feom now on! I went in bare faced and I asked her about which color would best suit me because I usually have to mix foundations to make them match me so she taught me the right way to test a color amd then she sat me in the chair and did a full face besides mascara for me and I feel soo good about myself today! Changed my whole vibe! When she washed my face and then added some moisturizer it felt so relaxing like when you get a haircut and they wash your hair and its just soo relaxing!! Thank you Heather. Dillard's in West Town Mall will be my new makeup destination!

The staff in the boys' section was super nice and helpful, but the staff in the men's department was horrible. They were snooty and seemed above helping us. When I asked if there was anything better priced they totally gave me a haughty look. Needless to say I won't be shopping here again.

Special thanks to the old lady with tons of makeup on who’s snobby towards everyone for making my shopping experience terrible. I had a wonderful employee help me find several dressy suits. However, I did not get the same friendly service when I needed to return one. It took me over 30 minutes to get someone to help me. Everytime I'd tell an employee I had a return, they'd direct me to a different area of the store. It was frustrating. Then when I finally said this is enough, the woman took my return but repeatedly smelled the garments asking if I'd worn them. I found it to be plain rude and highly unprofessional. I'd only had it a few days and had not worn it out anywhere. I was shocked and surprised considering the amount of money I'd spent there. I will stick with Belk from now on.

Went there to buy cologne & the sales rep was waiting on a customer at the area where the cologne located but she had to move to the next counter to ring him up. While doing so a couple walks up & she says to them I'll be right with you. All the while we are at the other counter in her site waiting 10minutes for her to finish up. When she did she walks to the couple that only been there for 2 minutes. I said oh no we were here first & had been over 10 minutes. They the other customer said you can wait on them because it's Christmas. I said no she's going to wait on us because we were here first. Love the store. Not liking the Incident

It's a perfectly fine Dillard's. My complaint lies with a lack of consistency in the staff. Some of the staff are quite friendly and helpful. Others will stalk you desperate to make a sale. And there is also a segment of employees that are downright unpleasant and clearly don't want to be there. It's a bit all over the place.

I have been to this Dillards many times and have always enjoyed my buys there, but this time I was unpleased with the service I received. I went into a dressing room that was unmarked and attempted to try things on when someone knocked on the door frustrated and told me the room was reserved. I immediately felt bad but I had not known because the room was unmarked. So i moved to one the furthest way down and attempted to finish trying on my clothing when I was interrupted angrily again because there were customers more important than me there. I walked and and didn't buy anything because I was truly upset with how I was treated. I wont be going back for a while

I go here for the shoes, since I think they have some of the best options available in Knoxville. The shoe staff is very helpful and the rest of the store has plenty of options to distract you. I'd check it out, but don't limit yourself to shoes. When the stuff is on sale, it's normally a pretty good deal...but it's all timing.

Great selection of dresses. However, womens dressing room attendent with a heavy European accent in the formal section upstairs was unprofessional. I can tell she might have been overwhelmed with returning dresses back to the racks, but there's no need to have attitude towards people coming from other nearby sections of the store to try on items, negatively comment on the number of dresses a women wants to try on, or take clothing out of customers hands when they're still deciding what to purchase. Dillards you need to hire more people, and update and CLEAN your dressing rooms.

While my boyfriend and I were looking at the men’s clothing, this lady kept following us, even though she asked if we needed anything and we (very politely) said no thank you. I know we’re are not sketchy people and she had nothing to worry about us stealing anything. I felt so degraded though. Here are my complaints. 1) shopper stalkers. Infuriating. LET ME BROWSE AND LIVE MY LIFE 2) I work retail, and I’m shocked at all the empty shelves, that’s just a no. Retail 101 is do not show empty shelves. I mean they have walls & walls of empty shelves, you’ve got to just put something there. Fake something out. Otherwise it just looks depressing. Maybe if they didn’t spend so much money on over-staffing their store with shopper stalkers, they could make the store look better. But these 2 Very important things are driving their customers away at multiple Dillard’s locations and I’m afraid for the company as a result.

Dillard no longer carries Elizabeth Arden. 5th Avenue products. This is just terrible. Alot of us older customers do not shop or do anything on line. There are alot of products and clothing no longer are being carried by stores any more. So when we read about stores closing and jobs being lost, thank on line shopping. I know why east town mall is 80 percent unoccupied, a ghost town.

My experience with Dillard’s is mixed. It is a beautiful department store with your standard items. I notice that the floor people will help some people and not others. Also, I noticed the men’s clothes does not seem to get new clothing lines like the other department stores. Concerning returns, they can be difficult and always requires a manager and stubbornness on your part to get a return especially with bedding. Not a pleasant experience with that. Overall average , seen better and seen worse.

This is specifically pertaining to the Women's department at West Town Mall. I hate giving negative reviews, but this is honest and necessary. No customer service whatsoever. Two out of the three ladies working that I encountered were absolutely rude to me, and offered no assistance in finding what I needed. I've been in FAR higher scale stores than Dillard's and treated with WAY more hospitality. The cashier who we paid was semi-nice and is the only reason I gave 2 stars and not 1. For a department store that sells higher end designer goods I am disappointed.

This store suffers from an identity crisis; it wants to be 'all that' but fails. Apparently this family-owned company feels it is beneath them to advertise or offer coupons. Sales associates are expected to bring clients into the store the way one does direct sales. That isn't working here in Anderson. Instead Dillards gets outdone by Belks, which sells much the same merchandise (especially fragrance and makeup) but does advertise and mails out coupons. This Dillards sells high priced merchandise...too high for most of Anderson...but not the highest or best merchandice, so the affluent residents drive 35 miles to Greenville to get what they really want. This store needs to figure out who it is...who it caters to.

Just walked through here to get to the area that joins to the mall. It still smells like someone poured fragrance into the ventilation system of just this store. Difficult to breathe for anyone who is sensitive to or doesn't appreciate an overpowering amalgamation of fragrances. My sister and I had a terrible experience at Dillard’s. We were shopping for prom dresses for her and we went to the fitting room so she could try them on. When we entered we saw an open room with dresses inside and we didn’t think anything of it and she started trying stuff on. All of a sudden an older woman and an employee come in very rudely as my sister is coming out to show me the first dress she tried on and the ladies push her out of the way and say we reserved this room and when there are dresses in the room that means it’s reserved! Like for real what makes you think you have the right to treat us like that!?

I tried to return a defective jacket that I bought, within the hour that I purchased it. I was passed off 3 times before reaching someone who could handle it. The associate was very, very rude and pointed blame to me as if I should have known it was defective. She said the words "this is so frustrating." She was very reluctant to live up to the return policy that is stated on the back of the receipt. Ultimately I got my money back but wow, here's a tip - treat your customers with an ounce of decency! They spend money in your store and expect the product to live up to expectations, that's not too much to ask.

Don't try to exchange "sale" items new with tags and receipt of purchase at this location. I have spent $200-$1500 per year for 15+ years at this location. Apparently I am not important, the cashier called the manager who did not have time to talk to me and just said "no"! I will never shop here again or spend a penny. Go somewhere else where they care about customers. There are plenty of places to buy clothes, apparently they don't know that at Dillard's West Town Mall.

I went to look at a pair of shoes today that I had seen when shopping for clothes the day before, the older man that helped me was very rude when I showed him the picture of the shoe I wanted and he said the didn't have that color so I said I would order it online then but wanted to check and make sure they fit. He went and got the shoes and almost tossed them at me and then when I tried them on and seen that they fit , he tried to take them off my feet and then tossed them in the box and when I picked up the cardboard pieces that were in the shoes and asked if he wanted me to place them back he roughly took them and threw them on the floor and told me No he had to put them back on the wall. I understand if you work for commission but its not my fault they didn't have the color I wanted, I will NEVER buy shoes there.

I’ve been coming to this location for years and honestly, I can’t think of more than 1 time I left this store thinking “wow, I had excellent service!” For makeup, I’ve started going to the Von Maur Clinique counter because the cashiers are ALWAYS friendly and helpful and not condescending. I also shop at Penn Square Dillards much more frequently because their store is always clean, properly staffed and the salespeople are actually friendly, helpful, and thankful for the business. I’d recommend skipping the Quail Springs store and going to Penn Square instead. The service there is worth the longer drive.

I was in this store today shopping in the petite section of the store and the cashier / sales associates made me feel like I couldn't wear petite so she tried to send me over to plus size embarrassed because I just had a baby but it turned out that I found two shirts that fit perfectly in petite and I was thinking about buying them and I wanted to continue shopping around the store but the lady wouldn't let me take the shirts out of petite because she wanted the sales commission so I feel very pressured to buy the shirts only in that section which I thought was very inappropriate so I decided not to buy anything and Dillard's because if that's how they treat their customers then I would rather shop somewhere else

When to Dillard's to the clinique counter to buy make up. The manager was the one that ended up helping me because they were so busy and she was outstanding. Absolutely the best service in Fragrance and cosmetics at the Dior counter from Ali and Roman! I cannot say enough great stuff about these two. They are so helpful and knowledgable! Ive learned so much from both of them. They offer a wide range of products from many high end brands and have an amazing shoe and handbag selection for a Knoxville store and now carry Louis Vuitton. For years you could not buy Louis in Knoxville Although I'm more a fan of local handbag creator Patricia Nash. They also have great sales and a good return policy and all associates have been good at letting me know what the time to return sale merchandise is. Most boutique stores won't allow returns on sale merch. All the staff is helpful and attentive. I never have to search for assistance like I do at Belk.

If I could give 0 stars I would. After years of being a loyal Dillard's customer, I'm finished with the poor customer service and outdated technology. I received a call from Dillard's that my $10 dollar certificates would expire (that was helpful) so I went to Dillard's to shop. After an hour or so, we found about $500+ worth of merchandise and attempted to check out. We were told we needed to go home, print out the certificates and bring them back to redeem. This is not a good business practice. I had just left Nordstorm where they auto checked my rewards and applied them at the check out for a total of $40 off my purchase. However, at Dillard's you are expected to carry around certificates in your purse in the event you happen into Dillard's and decide to shop. Customer service sucked as the sales associate said there was no other alternative, but the terms and conditions state it can be redeemed over the phone with Dillard's. So basically Dillard's - YOU are an inconvenience and waste of time to have your American Express card. It's not user friendly - Nordstrom is a much easier experience and pricing much more competitive on regular priced item comparisons. So Long Dillard's - you gave up a $500 sale by making me go home to print out my $30 in certificates!

I had an amazing experience with Tammy Dames in the Women's shoe department. I called looking for a particular Ugg boot that is sold out everywhere in my size. She was sympathetic that they did not have it, and took the time to explain to me that they were last year's style, and they have not gotten anymore in this season. She took my number and said she would see what she could do. It is not the end of the world if I do not find a shoe, however Tammy made it her personal mission to try to find them for me. She contacted me a WEEK later offering a possible place to get them. She went above and beyond any sales associate I've ever has. Her customer service and sweet spirit has made me a loyal Dillard's customer!
