I went to the okc outlet mall this last weekend (May 2018) and was really frustrated when I went to American Eagle and grabbed a couple skirts because the sign on their tables said “Buy one, get one 50% off”. The big table was 85% skirts, and had maybe 3 tiny stacks of tank tops. The sign had no other details or fine print. Did not say it was for skirts or tanks, but the table was very much designed around jeans skirts (8 or so different colors). And just a couple basic tanks. Anyway, I got to the counter and noticed the discount didn’t take so I let the cashier know that the discount didn’t apply and it was supposed to be BOGO 50%. And she said that that sale was only for those 3 small stacks of tank tops. (Which frankly, I didn’t even see initially. They were so small when the skirts were really big stacks.) It was very deceiving and I didnt appreciate the false advertising. They didn’t offer to honor the sign either even tho it was very understandably confusing. I ended up not buying them at all. I just felt the customer service and marketing both were poor and I will not be returning to this store. I went to Express and found very similar skirts and bought them there instead. They had much better customer service and sales were much more generous.
