Not What it used to be. Yup your right, thats what I was talking about. Went to enjoy shopping today with my infant and Chopt was all but pleasurable (AGAIN), and Moes #NationalTacoDay was ruined by both a bald associate. On the way out he told me to "Have a good day" He didnt mean it. Not from here, so some other centers would have a little more business class.

Thruway Shopping Center has been a shoppers destination in Winston Salem for 50 years. There are approximately 45 stores. From restaurants, grocery stores to athletic wear and fine clothing. There is a store for everyone including your pets. It is located right off business I-40 on Stratford Road.

Thruway shopping center is a nice shopping center with a good variety of stores and restaurants. There is fast food, fast casual and sit down restaurants. There are plenty of retail shops, including grocery store. There is easy access from the interstate, so getting into the shopping center is not a problem. There is a decent amount of parking. Getting out of the parking lot is a little bit more complicated. On the easternmost exit, you can only turn right, which makes getting onto I-40 more difficult. You hehe to drive back through the parking lot and leave at the light.

What a great Shopping Center. It's dense enough so you can actually walk from store to store but it's convenient to drive too. I went to a couple of shoe stores a kitchen store and had lunch at a wonderful place, The Carving Table. There's a great bakery over there too. I liked the fact that Thruway is close to the hospital so it proved to be a good diversion.

Medium size strip mall. Several really good stores. A lot of parking although the parking spots right at the curb where the stores are are difficult to get in and out of because of the shopping center traffic. Kind of spread out so you have to drive occasionally from one shop to another. Overall a good place to shop and have a bite to eat.

I think people need to read the crime reports here. Store workers have been robbed at gunpoint. Its not as safe to shop here as you might think. A bunch of crowded over priced stores for the most part. I rarely shop here but may go here for Trader Joe's or the salad place. (yes things are very safe thats why there are homeless drug addicts standing around) As always I am entitled to my opinion and this is fact. Please pull the crimemapping. I did. ASSAULT in the center within the last 4 weeks. Do not assume safe. Like I said. I can prove what I"m saying. They can't. What a nasty attitude by the owners!!!! Sorry Kimberly. How condescending can you be? You just lost another star!

This is a great shopping center with lots to offer. Trader Joe's and several others. It's in a convenient location off Stratford Road! I wish there was a coffee shop though? I realize Starbucks is across the road, but I think a coffee shop would do well in Thruway especially during holidays when everyone is Christmas shopping! Maybe a Kilwins too (fudge & icecream)!

A really good array of shops with plenty of choices those are the positives the negatives of the lack of parking the way the parking lot is laid out and access to it to and from Stratford Road those are definitely negatives and for that reason I seldom use the center anymore

It's a nice shopping center, but of course the designers of the center made it so hard to see and navigate through. There are a lot of trees/bushes/ etc that you can't see around to safely pull out. I feel like the lots are a little small and you have to park way out to go anywhere.

Too much congested traffic and several stores aren't customer-friendly if you don't, "Look the part..." Exactly who do they think they are!!?? Who dresses up to shop now!!?? Really!!?? Who do you think you're trying to impress in your mediocre stores? You definitely need to stop thinking that you aren't watching them when you know that you are. Stop being so hypocritical!!!! These stores know to whom I am referring. Don't judge a prospective customer if he or she doesn't dress "appropriately" enough to be in your so-called fashionable stores to shop. They may be surprisingly wealthy enough to buy your store, "four times over" its value, so be extremely careful how you treat your customers!! In other words: "Don't judge a book by its cover." Most of you who work in these stores can't afford to shop there either. Please know that I am not a disgruntled customer; I am an observant customer, as well as other customers who want to be treated fairly in ALL of the stores in this shopping center. One final note to the owner of this shopping center: I did address the employees in some of the stores on why they treat some customers differently if they don't look appropriate enough to shop there. I was neither threatening nor verbally abusing the employees with my comments. Of course, most denied their actions, while others acted as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Only two, yes only two different store employees were apologetic and one employee at one of the stores agreed that everyone should be treated fairly when shopping, regardless of where a person shops. As I stated previously, I am not a disgruntled shopper---I am an observant one, and please know that if I experience poor customer service from ANY stores in the Winston-Salem shopping area, I will write reviews.

A very nice collection of shops and restaurants. My favorites are Trader Joes and Ichiban. The Juice Shop is also great. Traffic here at lunch and during holidays can be heavy, and the entrances without stoplights can be difficult. This center is well maintained and always busy.

Thruway is nice when it comes to shopping centers. They have a decent variety of shopping. It is mostly laid out in a straight line and a small break in the middle. There are a few shops on the end cap a few more in the "upper" parking lot area. The main route to get to shops is right in front of the main drag of stores, so if your looking for one you haven't been to before, it can sometimes be hard to see it until you are right up on it.
