This Mall is included in the category of Shopping mall.
We love how convenient the mall is, we are here at least every two weeks. Great selection of stores, I'd just wish they would stop changing the stores so frequently.
I love eddie bauer
Loved the reptile shop.
I feel safe in the parking lot..i can relax shopping knowing my car will still be there when i get out..there's a great Reggae shop on the second level near the front entrance thats very nice!..all kinds of incense and sage ..its great!
Customers are allowed to walk their dogs on a leash in the mall where everyone walks. But the owners do not clean up their dogs poop and people stepped in it tracking it everywhere. Cottonwood used to be a very nice mall.
Cottonwood mall is closing more stores than opening them. They certainly are not lacking in the kiosk area I think there are more of them and the people who run them are very aggressive. Parking is good.Didn't buy anything, just wanted to get out of there do to the aggressive people that run the kiosk.
I love the mall. I personally like Spencer's, Dairy Queen, Ulta, and Victoria's Secret. I love the mall for reasons like, tons of variety, kind workers, tons of stuff to do, and great food variety. Thanks for the memories.
"Go see South West Treasures new store. It's my sister & brother-n-law's. It's So wonderful
Never been to Albuquerque before and had to stop and grab a few things. It was clean and they had plenty of stores to choose from.
Lots of specialty shops, food court and several great restaurants outside on the property make this mall a great choice for shopping, entertainment, and food. Movie theater completes the mall and there is something here for everyone. Other shopping close by as well as many, many restaurants.
I think it's the best mall in New Mexico.
The entrance is a bit empty and the interior makes the mall feel AESTHETIC AF but aside from that, the mall is pretty decent and well populated. 8/10.
A very nice mall to visit, there is a lot of security, that's a good thing.
This is a good mall to take your children to run off excessive energy. It's not too busy or crowded. There seems to be a lot of stores that recently closed so it's kind of empty. Not great for shopping but there is the Disney store and Build-a-bear store which I like. The food court has a few good places to eat at. The restrooms are not the cleanest though and there is always one or two stalls and sinks that are out of order.
What a huge, mall and beautiful, upscale shopping experience! Every store one could need!
Awesome place specially the dining area's ceiling
Great shopping selections in most stores.
Very beautiful place love the balloons decoration on Top of the ceiling
Lovely shopping mall!
Lots of stores are empty but yet it seems overly crowded. Lots of annoying teenagers with nothing better to do. There are still a few good stores but you are honestly better off going to Coronado.
the food court is awesome!
This whole shopping center is just sketchy at night. It's okay in the morning though. On weekdays foot traffic is light in the morning, that a good time to go. Prices are high though compared to what you can buy online. There is an anime merchandise store (I don't remember the name) which seems cool but is way overpriced compared to online merchants, also the cashier there looked unfriendly and unwelcoming like he HATES his job. Cottonwood isn't what it used to be even just a decade ago, malls across America are dying due to online competitors. Saaaad.
Clean and easy to find stores. A fun experience everyrime
Smaller mall but is great for their relaxed policy on dogs!
The vending machines charged my card 3 times for a single soda
Fun with two of my grandsons and their dog!
Best west side shipping in town.
Penguins play since I was a kid love it cuz everything you need and all the
I would like this mall if it was remodeled. If it was remodeled then there would be a possibility of more stores opening. I think that some stores that were recently opened make the mall look like a flea market. It just looks terrible. I sometimes think who is the owner of this mall because they are doing a poor job.
Cool stores, everything I wanted..
Nice mall. Love all the balloons!!!
The Great Temple of Consumerism
I like going to this mall once in a while. It's a great mall and the shops are great to but it's about an hour, hour and a half away from where I'm at. It's a little far away but I still make trips over there to shop.
Place needs more variety of shops
The main elevator was broken but a girl in a kiosk nearby saw we were looking for elevator access and told us to go to a main department store to find an elevator. Also the theater has an elevator, the doors are blocked off upstairs but the man upstairs allowed us to exit through the blocked off area. So the people are extremely friendly and kind. Which is great.
Love this mall its enormous so many amazing stores great mall !
It's good. Only thing I'm interested in is the Anime store and sometimes Hot Topic, Stop Games I mean Gamestop but seriously they should be stopped.
Good place to shop.
Boooo!!! Went tonight to do a bunch of Christmas shopping and was shocked to see very little to no decorations in the mall areas and only a few in some of the stores. Yet they all want my Christmas shopping dollars. They won't be getting any from me this year. Kept it in my pocket and heading uptown this year where the Christmas spirit is alive and well. Cottonwood Mall is too Bah-Humbug for me....
Awesome place for shopping, in my case i enjoy a brew at RED ROBIN then head to purchase items i am needing. Great place to shop for clothing...
If you are looking for a place to shop from high to low end, this is your place. They also have food as well as a movie theater. Tons to do and highly recommended.
Cool place 2 shop have what u want and good food. Better than Coronado if u wanna shop Cottonwood mall is the place
My husband and I like to walk around this mall for exercise. If it wasn't for dillards and old navy this mall would be gone. It needs a serious remodel on the food court. I go to Coronado when I really want to shop and they have Macy's.
Very clean mall.good food court.
This Mall was great . Plenty of variety of great stores. Was a great place to go.
We wanted to take advantage of the fact that the mall has special hours that open earlier to allow walkers. The only problem is that it should have more signage explaining how many miles you walk when you complete the whole mall. It would be nice to have this information on hand.
Went to see movie there. Great seats like home.
Movie theater is great love the recliners, walked the mall and played table tennis for free, very fun agternoon.
Nice mall, good parking, good variety of stores.
I love the Burger King here.
Good shops, but, suffering from the fate of all malls in the modern age - declining attendance and closing shops
Nice place to meet people.
It's a decent mall the theater is great.
The mall has a movie theater, food and stores, even hobby lobby! My favorite place to hang out at! I recommend it!
I never really go here. I live closer to the other one. I've filmed here but that's it...
Its big and fun. They have a nice play area for the kids.
This mall is seriously going downhill, and quick. Majority of the anchor stores are gone. Sure they got a hobby lobby which is new. However it’s inaccessible from inside of mall. Store selection is mediocre at best, only thing keeping this place going is Dillard’s, JC Penney’s and the movie theatre. Bathrooms are a joke, the “family lounge” doesn’t have a changing table in it, and neither does either men’s room. Thankfully Dillard’s did. The food court has more revolving options than a door. I really don’t see this place lasting longer than maybe 5 more years.
Nice mall will return
I think cottonwood Mall is awesome! there's so much to look at and so much to do it seems like a real true Mall from back in the 80s. They have a lot of good stores there and they have a lot of good things to eat. It's all so bright and open and worse The walk alone.
Fun place, great service and great food court
The mall has new stores but some of the bigger stores closed down. The mall is kind of empty
Nice place to get a haircut, tea, shoes, games and see the latest movie releases. Good food court as well
Cool place to get some stuff or something to eat. Good way to like some time.
Clean and well kept. I was waiting for my daughter to finish an exam and it was a cool place to relax.
Very nice fallout park is a great experience
Decent Mall, not what it used to be but still holding on.
Food Court Fuji Japan Food was not so good.. Spring Rolls were DRY and HARD, Peanut Butter Sauce was watery, Siracha left a bitter taste like it was old and the cook put soy sauce in everything which made the food taste all the same, vegetables were not cooked thoroughly.. Literally watch the cook throw it on the fryer for 5 seconds & he complained when we took a plate back because of its preparation.. WORST $30 I HAVE EVER SPENT!!!!!
Excellent indoor shopping mall. Lots to do on a hot day with the kids. Clean and cool. Will definitely return. Super nice woman that rents these super cute little riding animals , dont miss that !!
Got be be my favorite mall when I'm in town.
Easy to navigate with a 90 year mother
Last minute stop at 8:45 a night still was able to get in and get my shoes
Nice and airey space, lots of shopping options.
It must be official.... I'm a geezer because I like Malls. This one is generally clean and they have a decent security staff so one should never really feel anything but safe. Like many Malls there are a few vacant stores but still a decent assortment of shops and even a few that aren't National chains to peruse.
Its a nice mall lots of stores to shop in
For a sure a dying shopping center but the dog park they added has been a nice and close stop for my and dog.
Love the ceilings of the mall. Hurricane wind machine is fun!
Was great, had many stores.
Nice mall with Disney and build a bear
Good spot kinda small but got a few good choices
I walk here each morning. This is a lovely two tiered shopping mall, with a dog park, and plenty of parking.
Dont waste your time. When I moved here in 2006 this place was bustling, now it is dying out. There have been so many stores closing and the decor is quite dated.
Another dying mall across America. This place looks like a daycare center with the bungee jumping, train rides, romper room, and few stores with real merchandise. A lot of vacant store fronts and junk shops...too bad. I use to really enjoy shopping at Mervyns, Sears, Macy's, Conn's, and so many more.
Not to happy with mall parking lot accidentally kick something when walking so i looked down and seen it was a used needle I immediately called security to help me properly dispose of it so no one would accidentally get hurt. When security arrived he stated that they get called all te time and find them in the area frequently so what did i want him to do i just asked him to guide me in proper procedures so some one would not get hurt .he then stated to just leave it there and to not worry about it and leave. I was just blown away by the professionalism of the security guard.
Awesome time enjoyed Cottonwood today. Always clean with a good variety of great stores fun & enjoyable. Many many have closed but it seems newly enjoyable & useful ones seem to always replace the old. And Being there with someone you love always makes it a 10.
Much nicer than Coronado mall. Really like this place.
Found some really good deals shopping for clothes with my grandson. Went there 3 times in one day. Was wore out from shopping!
Feels like a dying mall. No major anchor stores, mostly a mix of random shops.
While at Cottonwood wood mall I saw these wonderful places to put your loveable pet! I think this is a brilliant idea, thank you Cottonwood!
This is a very nice indoor mall. They have movies, a good food court and plenty of shopping. There's a lot of parking and the mall is surrounded by outdoor malls with all the big stand alone retailers, many small independent stores and medical, dental and legal services.
Gr8 sunglass hut
Great place to shop. Just about found everything the family needed
I went to get my haircut at the barber school next to the carousel. I've been going there for about a year off and on. I've always been pleased with the barbers and with the fun that the guys seem to have. It's a great environment and to top it off you can't beat a $6 haircut. The students of the barber school are given a grade A education and it shows.
Our family came for the Regal Theaters and walked through this 2-story mall. You know you're in trouble when the best part of a shopping center is its food court. Poor Cottonwood Mall, a victim of Albuquerque's changing tastes. Most stores here are not brand stores. Most stores here you might see on San Mateo or a Central Avenue strip mall. Cottonwood Mall is past its prime and it shows. So sorry to see it like this after so many good years as a shopping destination.
I always went to this mall when I lived in the state, it was such a great place to roam around in. I visited the mall about 2 months ago when me and my father went back to check on how everything was going in NM, and we decided to see the mall, the place is smaller and less active then how I remember, it’s probably just because it’s been more than 4 years but yet, still such a walk back through memory lane. I love how they added a Japanese art/anime store, I bought a few things from there when I visited It’s a wonderful mall ^^ I hope it’s still there when I come back again.
It's a mall. Where you buy stuff. Not sure what else could review about it.
Nice stores, great area to walk in the morning.
Great mall with a ton of stores. Some that I have back home and some new phones. The mall is always clean and really well maintained.
Inside mall is nice but outside landscaping is unsitely either water for grass or cover with gravel not a pleasant looking Simon Mall
Nice mall with a variety of stores.
Great place to shop nice size
This mall is becomming a ghost town. Use to have good stores, most have left the building. If you do want to feel like your in high school I guess you might like going.
This place is a classic. It's gone downhill a little bit with all the shops closing but this is still a great place to spend an afternoon or evening. I hope this mall never goes out of business, because so many childhoods have been spent, and are being spent, in it.
Great place for all your shopping needs
The mall itself is just a mall and rather Stark with all the stores that have moved out. Hobby Lobby is now at the mail with an outside entrance so that is a go-to store for me. Hobby Lobby gets 5 stars from me!
Great store options and not a super busy mall. The hot air balloons are really neat and love the carousel and train rides.
Great n different shops friendly clean cool
Great service all around and great food
Lots of stores for the whole family. A foodcourt, public restrooms and fun for the whole family . Definitely stop in.
The employees were very nice and helpful
A ghost town full of theft and crime... really sad to see.
Big mall, clean, great food court.
The food court at this mall is pretty decent. There is a big parking lot and I never have a problem finding parking. The mall itself is spacious and has never been to crowded when I went. This mall has most of the typical store your expect to find but I'd recommend checking out their online directory before heading down
Like to hang out at this mall. I love shopping here.
Victoria secret had a great sale.
Its awesome to shop, kill time, or even let the kids play at the small indoor play area!
I really love this mall and the cute dog park they have. I really can't understand why so many shops have left here. The area is very nice and the mall is better kept than the other one. I also feel like there are less bored kids and creepy people.
I wish they had more options there. They have some of the most random stores in this mall lol but its not horrible
The mall is anchored by Conn's, Dillard's, JCPenney; it was formerly anchored by Sears which closed in 2018, and Macy's which closed in 2017. It has Old Navy and a few other clothing and shoe stores, but the other stores are specialty and kiosks—nothing exciting. The same is true for food and restaurants, not much selection inside the mall. On the other hand, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul were filmed here and it’s fun to look for the spots where filming took place.
Not to many handicap to park ckose
Its ok for what is available on this side of ABQ. Need new stores
Not too many people, lots of parking space. Lots of choice of food
Great ribs and drinks at the steak house
Yep, this mall will be totally empty soon enough. It really is in rough shape financially. I'm surprised a few stores expanded. This mall had better figure something out or it will end up just like many before it. Gone. I don't think it can be saved.
Excellent mall. There is a carousel near the food court and a fun kids train touring the entire mall. Great selection of stores kiosks.
This is the nicest mall in New Mexico, at least of all the malls I've been in around this state. Clean, safe and a good variety of stores.
Very filling plate, ordered #7, reasonably priced, lots of shrimp. Just needed a little hot sauce. The people here are super helpful and nice. Would go again.
I want this mall to be better than it is. When this mall was opened back in the early '90s it was a destination attraction for the Westside of Albuquerque. It was an innovative design, clean, and had unique tenants (that were not at the other two Uptown malls), as well as a great food court and autonomous mid-mall snacking places. However, it has become a run-down indoor flea market. There are a few high-end stores that you can tell keep the lights on, but the escalators and elevators are always on the fritz and the interior is varying degrees of cleanliness. The bathrooms constantly have non-functioning or perpetually "out of order" hardware. They are also in desperate need of renovation. The tenants are sparse and seems like every other month a new store is opening, but 3 are also on their way out. There is not a lot of traffic during the week and seems to be a weekend destination, but it feels very much like customer and worker don't want to be there. Example: Went to their in-mall Train 20 minutes before the Train stops running that day* (*I guess it stops at 7:00PM during the week), only to be turned away. I mean, why post that you're closed at 7PM if you're going to close up shop (aka turn away money). That leads me to this also: certain stores seem to have their hours willy-nilly without reprisal. Some tenants had store damage or gates that would not fully retract FOR MONTHS. C'mon Mall Management, let's get it together!!!
There is an eclectic collection of stores from one of a kind to staple mall stores.
A decent mall with good food selection and stores. Good for all malls. There are so many shops to go to in there. There is a movie theater connected to it. There is a very large food court with many suggestions. Though, not good for people with allergies like gluten free and peanut allergies. If you have allergies and want to eat here, eat somewhere else. Besides that, everthing is great.
The current state of the Cotton Wood Mall is certainly disheartening. I remember a little over ten years ago, it being worth the drive down from Santa Fe to come visit. It was a novelty, filled with sprawling stores, and had plenty to offer. At that time, the Cotton Wood mall was no doubt the commercial hub of Albuquerque's upper north west side. Today, the mall sits partially derelict. From Macy's, Johnny Rockets, The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Sears, Mervyn's, and many more. The mall certainly doesn't possess a short list of former tenants that once provided it with the enticement and glamor it once had. What makes it worse, is that in an effort to fill some of its unoccupied retail space. The mall has allowed for many cheap and second rate stores to fill the void. Which as a consequence, only makes the its overall image look shoddy. While there are more than likely several factors that have contributed to its overall decline over the past decade (e.g. the rise of e-commerce). Those who have been around long enough cannot deny that Cottonwood's best days are indeed behind it. What stops me from giving this place a one star review is the Regal 16 cineplex, food court, overall cleanliness, and well management of the facility. Those in charge and tasked of running the daily operations cannot be held responsible for its current state. For what it's worth, they do a fine job in the increasingly limited areas where they can. I only hope that the mall sees a sort of revitalization effort go into effect sometime soon. If not, the upcoming decade may very well see the facility either further deteriorate, or simply suffer the same fate as its Winrock counterpart. That is, by inevitably closing its doors for good.
Lack of stores. Seems like management doesn't care about the direction the mall is heading in.
What a wonderful place to come and shop and so much to see.
Very mellow peaceful, pleasant shopping experience. :)
Great store locator maps. Easy to get in and out.
Falling apart though for as long as it stays an out of place tenant the Dillards is still class, including their fine women's clothing staff.p8
This mall always seems dull. Not very many places to shop. The food place absolutely needs more of a variety of choices. The mall always seems empty. Maybe they need an upgrade.
The mall itself is nice. Lots of shopping. Busy atmosphere. The playplace is awful. Gross and peeling. Save yourself and your children from the diseases living on the play surfaces.
Big mall, safe. Clean.
They have what I need to get. Thumbs up.
Great park and ride
Very quiet. Which i suppose for any mall is a godsend, however i just learned that Cinnabon isn't there anymore and thats a major bummerino
Love the mall.. purchase beautiful perfume at Dillard's the only place they have it love it
There are a lot of new stores in this mall. Different options in the food court, an arcade and a movie theater.
An interesting array of shopping local that can make for an entertaining walk when you feel up to browsing. Food court makes good food and the staff has always been helpful.
Decent shopping, pretty quiet for a mall.
I like this mall. Clean and well managed stores.
TBH Cool mall rate 10/10
They had a variety of fast food restaurants to eat. They had a wide variety of shopping centers. They had a carousel for the children. Plenty of parking area. The workers in the mall were friendly.
Great, huge mall with great stores!
I'm not into malls already, but this one felt unclean and sticky. Movie theater at the end is better.
I wish there were more stores every time I go in there are new stores or stores have closed. Overall for the stores it does have it's nice to walk around. I do like the candy store that they have here and it's very clean. I was sad that Chow's is closed and even though Hobby Lobby is at this mall you cannot get to the store through the mall only on the outside entrance.
Average shopping mall. Limited hours. Great sushi though!
Sweet Versace cologne $85, smells great
Quite a few rude vendors. Good selection of stores.
Great variety of stores and kiosks. Easy to navigate.
Kinda deserted. Decent overall.
The pla nners who designed all entry points should be terminated.
