I visited the AMC Theater. If you haven't gone yet you MUST go. Reclining, oversized chairs, reserved seating (for members) makes movie watching like being at home but having company over. Being an AMC member is a smart move...

I really like the mall but safety is a concern as they had a shootout in the food court a few months ago. In addition to that issue their was a recent deadly shooting in a Texas mall. As much as I love shopping in the mall I hope they focus on the customers safety as much as possible. I always come in one piece and would love to leave the same way

One of the best place to do shopping and hangout . Too many stores, food court and movie theater. We can also find rental car service here. Well maintained mall and good place for family. Huge Parking is available.

This mall is pretty neat, the food court is very busy during lunch hours due to office people going on lunch there. Very clean and filled with popular stores. They have a movie theater too. It's by the food court.

Had to change my review from a 5 star to 1. My son and his friend had a very humiliating experience at the hands of their security staff. They were accused of smoking in the mall by someone who reported it to security. The officers approached them and proceeded to remove them from the mall even though these young men offered to have security search them for any type of cigarettes. My sons is not a smoker. He even told the officer to smell his clothes. They refused to hear their side of the story and were escorted out of the mall. Something like this should have been thoroughly verified on CCTV before approaching anyone. But I guess when you're black you have less rights.

Pay for parking & 1 restroom all the way on the top floor... Smh, the retail stores are mediocre and the shoppers are mostly obnoxious and rude. Upgraded food court and movie theater is the best part of the whole mall.

This mall is very convenient for anyone staying in jersey city it also has amc within to watch a movie. The dining options are limited here- apart from the food court, it has cheese cake factory and recently opened wine burger no fine dine restaurant yet. It has most of the famous brands in this mall, but it is still limited you don’t have all the most common brands here.

This mall is very clean, easy parking, safe feeling, many assorted stores with most stores occupied. Food court & movie theater. Well patrolled by private security guards, but doesn't feel oppressive. Food court is great. Nice environment, good for shopping and when you get tired shopping you can take your time and enjoy your foods there. Definitely a must stop and shop!

This mail has been getting better over the years. Very diverse clientele. Clean. Safe. Relatively small. Main stores are Sears, Kohl's, Macy's, and JCPenney. Also has my favorite movie theater in the NYC area.

Horrible. The customer service at this entire location all the way to the AMC theater is horrible. ex; I visited a Sprint mobile store and showed interest in a new device and so I asked the customer service representative to give me general information. Her only reply while not giving eye contact was "Are you gonna buy" I was disgusted with her response as I dismissed the conversation. Afterwards visiting the AMC theater I asked the representative at the snack stand for a tray or container to carry all my snacks and drink and he stated we have nothing and continued personally socializing with co-workers as I was of no importance. I then asked the employee who collected my movie ticket as she stated there was a tray available for movie watchers as she informed him and he gave me a folded up box. I informed management and hope improvements will be made in personal. I never plan to visit this location again for I witnessed a general staff of teenagers with ill manners and no professional etiquette.

I really am so grateful that this long-standing mall got an impressive "facelift" a little over a year ago! It now has a grand entrance next to the Cheesecake Factory, steps away from the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail station at Pavonia-Newport, and a few minutes walk from the PATH station, also at Pavonia-Newport. It is a beautiful & relaxing place to shop, eat, go to the movies, and very kid-friendly!

Great stores, but lacking in inventory in comparison to other NJ Malls. I also think it's the only mall where you have to PAY FOR PARKING, which is insulting because it's on the lower tier of malls in NJ. The food court is the best part of this mall, with the remodeled movie theater coming in second.

Nice mall many left & right turns, very confusing, it was difficult finding the Xfinity Store. Need a stable map, the electronic touchscreen is hard to use and the direction stuck no sense of direction took you the long way around.

what can I say this centers for basically everyone okay it has ranges from gamestop to Nike to Shearer's to Jimmy jazz to champswhat can I say it's very good OK has everything you're looking for and everything was okay the shoe stores are very open and have good music taste and have funny faces funny stuff free Internet modem internet my my sister even works in the what's it called the body wash storage I don't know but she works there and she said she loves so yeah everytime we need to go like we're bored or something we just go to Newport mall.

Large shopping mall, plenty of stores. My favorite is Flying Tiger. It's a cute little store filled with all sorts of goodies. Food court is really nice and has lots of choices as well. The piercing Pagoda booth also has a really great employee who helped us Pierce our cartilage! My best friend lives around here and she frequents this mall and has never had a complaint.

Large mall with a nice variety of stores so that there is something for everyone. Many mainline stores but several eclectic shops as well. Nice restaurants and food selection. The third floor is predominantly food. Access to the subway to NYC directly through the mall. Pay to park. But an easy walk from local amenities

I've known Newport Mall for more than 20yrs! We go there to see movies, location is handy for us. Parking available, at a cost. Shops are typical of what you find in other malls. F&B options and Food court not the best but it's alright I guess. Tip: movie seats are assigned, they are so comfy try not to sit in the first front row.

CANNOT DRIVE GOING TO THIS PLACE IF NEEDED TO SPEND TIME SHOPPING OR GOING TO THE MOVIES THEN EAT IN THEIR FOOD COURTYARD AFTERWARDS, TRYING TO RELAX DUE TO EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE PARKING FEES. I was just at Newport mall and I heard that they gave parking discounts if you go to the customer service. Disappointing enough, I wasn’t able to get $1 off because I am a Bayonne resident. So it’s okay to come to the mall to spend money on food, Easter pictures, shopping etc but not for everyone to get a dollar off? Yes, it’s only $1 but to be excluded for not being a resident is ridiculous. Not everyone knows you can do that so it’s not like the mall is constantly losing money. It should be all or none at all.

It's your average mall, nothing really sticks out about it. The design of the mall itself is great but from I seen anyway almost every store is some type of clothing store so if you're particular about your clothes such as the quality, design, namebrand etc then this your place to be. The food court is pretty good. A nice variety of food venues to choose from and a movie theater to boot.
