This Mall is classified in the category of Shopping mall.
Ya it's not going to be long before this place is another huge empty parking lot
Awesome!!! Very clean and inviting. People are very Friendly and welcoming.
Local mall, gets the job done. Expensive food court but decent quality
Older mall, home decor store awesome
Great shops, good people! Sephora ROCKS!
Great place to take yourself and your family to! Variety of stores and jewelers. A wonderful food court wonderfully spacious. And love the things they do when it comes close to the holidays.
A declining mall somehow holding on, the former high school jock who got fat and works in a dead-end job (80s cliches seem totally appropriate here). A serviceable, if not a bit depressing, place to shop if you know exactly what you're looking for. Thankfully, Dick's has an exterior entrance...
Many different stores to choose from to go on a shopping spree. And it's well organized and very hard to get lost.
A nice Mall, a good place to get Sweatcoins, also a good place to shop. They also have a food lounge, good hospitality
Love going to Oakland Mall, nice very clean. Great Atmosphere
It had what I needed, but it appears a lot of stores have not reopened since they closed. Still got that ol Big D flair though!
It is loosing a lot of stores. They have quite a few pop ups, but few anchor stores.
Lots and lots of sporting, gaming, fishing, and accessories. Boats, grills. Everything for outdoor fun
It was so amazing the ppl there love to help and there clothes is the best and they have great prices
I love this mall been going there years, clean and lots of parking...
It's Glory days are long gone. The Penny's and Macy's are still pretty complete. Sears is 86'd. Time to redevelop it.
Oakland Mall is lovely
Used to love this mall but since they closed all the stores there it feels very empty.. I rather go to lakeside or great Lakes crossing mall...
They had what I needed and is always very clean. Good mall if you're not looking to spend hours inside.
Nice mall with good price n good collections
Very good place to shop for hunting and fishing products fast check out
Very clean and nice mall, but there is only 2 bathroom,is incredibly how much you have to walk to pee!!!!
Macys was clean...organized except children dept
This review refers to Field & Stream as part of Oakland Mall: A lot of good merchandise to select from. Some things a little overpriced but overall a good place to shop for everything outdoors including Smokers and supplies.
Cool place. Dog friendly!
My favorite three stores in this are hot topic, Journey's, and Starbucks
Just GREAT and fun. My son enjoyed himself which was the most important part of the experience! Great deals and service. Going back soon! Back to School shopping!
Oakland Mall is in the winter of its life what with the advent of strip malls and Amazon. If offers something that on line can't . A stroll in the climate controlled mall observing the dwindling species of the seniors partaking of their daily exercise rituals. They are being stalked at the food court and Mr. Popcorn in their daily struggle to lose weight. "That pizza looks so inviting. But be careful there is cholesterol and fat hiding in it. The drama of wildlife in its natural environment.
This mall seems a little dirty and run down. The part down by Forever 21 is really nice and bright and then you go deeper in and it gets darker and cheaper looking.
I hope it stays around....one of my childhood favorite places
Still prefer Cabellas and great outdoors. But we stop and browse when in the area.
Great place. Everything for everyone and for every budget
Aged mall, never busy. If you know what you need you go in and out
Nice mall For shopping and eating
Very cool mall we went there to get some food in the food court the food was actually amazing it was Mediterranean Lebanese type food I forget the name of it but you definitely need to find it and eat there
Wounderful in an out lane bryant
Pretty awesome mall. Was a big fan of the Coney Island in the food court. Very good prices, very good wait staff as well as great customer service. Friendly people and even better food.
Kay jewelers was amazing for my engagement ring purchase.
This place used to be nicer. It needs a lot of updates ! If you have kids there’s not really much to do for them. However, It’s still a good mall for hanging out.
I had not been here in 30 years. Great experience. There were plenty of choices to shop from. We got wore out before covering half the mall. Shop till you drop is no problem here.
Many malls are closing around the country, I am so happy that this mall is still open. They have a large variety of stores and prior to all the construction going on now, they were a very accessible Mall. I have no idea how long the construction will take, however a trip to this mall is well worth it. The only complaint I have at this time is the construction on I-75 and the surrounding areas. If you haven't visited Oakland Mall, run by during the weekday when traffic is the lightest. I hope the construction is completed very soon!
Nice They have all different types of store in side
Clean, cozy with great stores and a nice food court. Lots of free parking spot
Love to hang here with my friends!
This place has completely fallen off. Find another mall to shop at. Try Somerset Mall or Great lakes crossing.
Great shopping mall, love how it is with the different stores.
Good place to follow the wife around and carry everything she buys.
Sad to say, but this is a dying mall. There is no reason to come here other than to browse. I go occasionally with my daughter to the pet store, we play with the dogs that are starved for attention...and it breaks my heart seeing a puppy mill there. Many empty store-fronts. This mall is dead.
Loved this place! They had such an awesome selection
Not as crowded as it was 30 or 40 years ago, and the stores have changed over the years. No Sears, No Hudsons (replaced by Macys), no Gantos or Winklemans. Still, a great place to shop though.
I went to five or six stores, and only one person actually acknowledged me. Not sure if I did a review for the particular store, but the gentleman at underground station was so nice. He helped me right away, kneeled down to help me get my shoe on, made sure it fit, rang me up, and even walked around the register to hand me my bag. You don't find service like that much anymore, and I can truly appreciate such a great person. Thank you so much for brightening my day.
Always a pleasure to come here. Oakland and Somerset are my all time favorite shopping malls
Great mall still has plenty of shops and things to do, as well as in the surrounding area.
Macy's was great, but I'm sadden to see that some stores has closed the mall was not busy.
Nice place to take my kids to get away for the day. My daughter loved the carousel and water fountain. The food court is small and needs better variety. The stores are nice and its always clean when I visit. The vendors in the center of the mall are great. Lots of cool stuff to purchase. I also love that there are two levels. Keeps things interesting
Getting low on interesting stores. Only the odd have fun things.
Five freaking stars just for the animal store located near JC Penny’s at the back of the mall⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very disappointed. Just recently I went there for moment had lunch good food. Slow service.
Me and my son and my nephew and niece was shopped at this mall. I went in a store looking for a out fit .The kids went to return my Nephew shoes was to small . I was un able to find them for 4 hours . They finally called me and told me the police arrests them for bo reason. They was held for credit card swipes. Neither children had a credit card. My son had cash he work for Chrysler and they search my nice whom was under age for 4 hours . Yes their black this is a Racist Place to go .No I'm sorry or nothing the police need to be arrested. Just because your black doesn't mean you still. This us not over yet
Good stores, but always has an odor of marijuana.
This mall is really going downhill. I solely went there to run in and out of Windsor’s store to get a cheap dress for a wedding. It’s just not nearly as great as other malls in nearby area
Still such a beautiful Mall. But like just about every other Mall in the country it's fading and losing many of its occupants.
They no longer allow CPL holders in the mall. Hopefully soon it will be a nice golf course.
Nice day at Macy's Oakland Mall... Great jazz music being played by the DJ.... All associates where helpful and knowledgeable.
Not to bad to visit, they have limited fishing gear, I wish they carried Bass stopper rubber worms, and a better selection of Rebel and Rapala lures.
Nice selection...spent a few hours looking around.
This mall has always been my favorite because of the store "Family of Pets". I've watched the mall renovate over the years and its becoming more beautiful then ever. I'm a little sad they got rid of the Taco Bell because I would always order from them anytime I'd come to the States. We live in Canada and make an effort to visit as often as possible in April I will be going back tot his mall to find my forever friend and the staff who I've spoken to are very helpful and educated.
Only went in and out of Macy's but good to see ample security in the parking lot.
Cool mall but it’s losing stores and customers. If your already in Troy then just go to somerset
Did not put enough meat on my
Very helpful, got everything I need plus more
A few good store s
A great retail store for sport or outdoor gear
Oakland Mall is a regional shopping center that is in the process of falling on hard times. There are many vacancies, they lost their Sears store like most malls did in 2019, and the quality of the retailers is gradually sinking. When they lose the Macy's and/or the JCPenney's, it will be time for the bulldozer.
Went to Dick's to get the daughter geared up for softball season
Best place for mall walking. Opens at 7am and is a mile to walk the perimeter.
Love this store and the employees are great too!
Nice Mall ENJOYED. Got what I was looking for. Always thus far have what I seek for
I like the little quaint mall. Plenty of parking. Sure to find what you looking for.
Great mall always has been a goto for me. Plenty of stores to shop around at and friendly environment.
Oakland Mall is a okay place to shop. If you have like children there’s not really much to do for the kids. It’s a great mall for hanging out. I just don’t like how they removed the arcade there. Dick’s is my favorite store there! I recommend for people who play sports or like to work out!
Great for walking. They have too many sporting good stores and not enough healthy alternative restaurants. Nice place to walk and get transportation. Macy's and Jc penny are still around. Would like to see kids of different ages up to 21 when they do activities. Families do have teens to and should not be left out. Should start promoting events that are healthy including singing and dancing groups.
Good parking. Still has Macy's and JCPENNEY. Easy in and out with pleasant service.
We love shopping at JC Penney, Macy's and other stores, getting our daily exercise by walking around or simply sit near the fountain chatting with the regulars. They even have free Wi-Fi at Oakland Mall, although I wouldn't trust it for confidential transactions. Too bad Sears closed it's stores there. I hope Oakland Mall will live long and prosper!
Ran into the mall looking for hair secret, it was conveniently placed. I like the fact that you can park all around the mall, I don't like the fact that Sears is gone and even though we're talkin about Oakland Mall, Sears was a big part of it. I know that Home Depot, Best Buy, Lowe's and ABC Warehouse sell the same items, or close to it, but, the one thing that Sears had that others don't, was a layaway. For those who didn't want to tax their credit cards, nor order online, just preferred paying cash, in affordable intervals. If something happened and you had to cancel, you didn't ruin your credit. Okay, okay, okay, I went too far, but, I meant every word
It has most of the stores I need, but like most malls it's starting to look dated and sad. I think they need to figure out a way to try and breathe some new life into it.
Nice people. Higher prices than I like. Some good sales. They don't have a paper mall guide, with a map, like they used to. A little easy to get turned around if you're new, but the map is posted in several places and the security now does the directions, not the info desk. It is an enclosed mall.
I've rocking with Oakland since I was a kid holds a lot of great memories for me,
Visited JC Penny and Macy's they are my go to stores. Best Macy's and J C Penny store in the area. Better than Somerset and Lakeside!
It is a decent above average run of the mill mall. It has a great selection of stores at a great selection of prices, the only reason it has a 4 is because I think in my biased opinion that they dont do anything that stands out, they are still a great mall with very interesting thing to do, but I would recommend a mall like Somerset.
I love this mall in the morning. It's so peaceful
Went to Dicks, the manager, Rob and Al were great help!
Bathrooms and floors are always clean and shining smells good
OJB Jewelry is awesome. Great customer service.
Really clean place security is very nice that was something I was not used to. Plenty to do good food court and places souring the mall are wonderful as well
I love all the stores but there pretty pricey but i don't care. I love the place so much. You guys should go there yourself one day.
The female at the body art / jewelry kiosk by GameStop was really polite really friendly awesome customer service how does what was what we needed highly recommend
I feel like this mall is missing something ..like more stores it definitely needs more stores. So much parking spaces they should build another floor of stores or just add to the already existing floors of shopping. Dylan's Candy Bar would be a great addition to this mall. Or an American Girl Doll store.. a Vera Bradley.. an Urban Decay store.. an Urban Outfitters.. maybe even a few more restaurants inside. This mall definitely has potential it's in a busy spot alot of traffic coming by. Definitely needs a facelift.
