This Mall corresponds to the category of Shopping mall.
One last mall that is still standing...for now.
I shop here all the time, love going here to shop and walking around. It’s really a good exercise if y(you see me there make sure you say hi, I don’t bite.
It was okay to hold but some stores are going out of business.
Very clean but needs to work on their Wi-Fi
This was a wonderful mall it's too far for me to go on a regular basis although I'd like to
Love this mall!! They have a lot of awesome stores!
Nice indoor mall. You'll find all your favorite stores there. Enjoy!
Love how great this great was when I was 13 now I'm 22 and it's even better. I can bring my dog here anytime I want. Gone very down hill. At least they brought back snacks and things.
Surprised by amount of business. Thought this mall was expired but fairly busy. Lots of flash in the clothes, but also good mix of reasonable traditional shops. No upscale shops but great prices in Lord and Taylor AND FYE.
Outstanding! This mall is absolutely my favorite!!
Great mall has most of your favorite stores without being super crowded and there's not a lot of rif raf
Great help and friendly people
I like lakeside. It reminds me of how they malls were when I was a child. I'd love to see Eastland Mall rejuvenated to be as bustling and lively as Lakeside Mall.
This is a wonderful mall to shop at and it has a excellent food court.
Still one of my favorite malls around. Lots of shopping options, some places to eat. Nice & clean indoor mall that I always enjoy walking around, and quieter too.
Naked. Not very much left. I hadn't been here in quite some months and was saddened to see so many restaurants and great stores closed.
Lord and Taylor sell is awesome
Check out the carousel, it is really cool, and the young lady Angie, who runs it, is so adorable and sweet.
PRETZEL PEDDLER IS THE BEST
I visit the mall mostly for the walk club. It lets you start walking at 945 am and is well attended by many walkers of all types. There are two levels to walk on so it is not as boring as a single level mall or store. The food court is usually open and serving during this time if you need a refreshment or place to relax.
Lord & Taylor here. Found great deals on sweaters and shoes.
It's definitely not what it used to be. A lot of stores are gone and the stores that are left have high prices. This is why so many people shop online.
There's a few shops here that I adore personally. Especially Anime GT
Great Landscaping but I heard they're closed down sad story
It's a good place to chill and buy some cool stuff. There's a couple spots to chill with the squad, some pretty lit stores, and a nice food court. Awesome place, so don't let it die out!
I absolutely love this mall! They have a section in Macy's where they have discount items that usually will cost you an arm and a leg LOL. Also they have a MAC Cosmetics & Estee Lauder counter upstairs in which the employees there are are just fabulous. They are very knowledgeable about their products and they also are able to shade match women of color with no problem; and that was a big concern for me because I've had trouble at other stores with that same issue. This mall has handicap parking close to the door which is great for me and it's always clean and everything is where it's supposed to be. The only issue was the older women who worked at the Clinique counter and dealt with IT Cosmetics...they we're a bit rude and did not want to give any samples and I thought that that was totally unacceptable especially after I have spent hundreds of dollars in the store
We shopped very frequently at Lakeside Mall when we lived in Sterling Heights from 1968 to 1978 before moving to Ohio. Our children learned to ice skate taking figure skating lessons at the ice rink. Later, our son traded the figure skating lessons for ice hockey, playing on midget teams. We enjoyed shopping at the large department stores and small shops. We occasionally spent the entire day at the mall, eating two meals. When we moved to a small city in Ohio, we really missed the convenience of a large mall 10 minutes from our home. We will always have fond memories of our shopping trips to Lakeside Mall.
this mall use to be amazing then a few years ago immigrants started working there and it became trashy i cannot believe it and a lot of the good stores have closed im so disappointed also the bathrooms are so dirty there is poop in the toilet that hasnt been flushed and there is toilet paper on the floor when i went last time a lady was changing her baby on the sink counter how disgusting there are certain tables for a reason also it is over priced for cheap material clothes
I see a lot of older white women working there who are not smiling and friendly to this black lady (me). But I saw them engaging their peers with smiles while asking can I help you. I didn't feel welcomed or appreciated for the money I spent. Cool carousel!
Great Easy side mall! Lots of stores
mall is dying. still looks like 1976 in there. no frills shopping. was nice 30 years ago.
Heard it was closing and alot of businesses are moving out for the more trendy Partridge Creek Mall. At least Lakeside is indoors. Partridge Creek is outdoors and it sucks in the winter. This is Michigan isn't it?
This mall is always my go to! Nice comfy and quiet!
Good but more and better stores should be added in empty spaces
It's too bad this mall has been let go so much. It looked like at one time it was a nice place to shop.
It's not as busy as it was when I was a kid. A lot of empty rental space. But it's still a good place to shop.
Considering it's a very old mall, not bad. Needs updating
I like it better than Partridge Creek, It's Sterling heights jewel, for indoor shopping.
I mall walk in the morning. It the best start of the day
Still an excellent location. Unfortunately the stores are slowly pulling out, completely closing or moving to new locations. I will miss the walking when it closes.
Ample free parking, large variety of stores including JC Penney, Lord & Taylor, Macy's, and smaller boutique shops and salons. Busy place! This brick & mortar shopping mall is still bustling!
Great place to chill and shop
Every good store has closed... so sad.
Lakeside Mall is a big place where you can shop. With its variety of stores, you’re probably likely to walk out with something. The kids can also have fun here as well because of their play places! Overall it’s a great place to shop.
This is an upscale mall without the pretentious atmosphere. The usual anchor stores if you really must. Clean food court and the best carousel in miles
Online order from JC Penneys was easy.
Definitely seems to be "dying" along with several of the retail shops it has, however still worth a trip. Decent place to go to for coffee. (lovely place upstairs I forget the name of) the food court is alright, it has a decent selection to choose from and plenty of room for dining as there aren't too many people there at a time... However, as of now it still has a few stores that carry some decent things; my girlfriend always insisted on going there for homecoming dresses as there really aren't many other good places to get one near us. It's still nice to walk around and see what's available.
Place is going downhill like a snowball. Really ratchet and a lot of the stores are closing down. Only come her to get clothes from JCPenney because the place is so bad
Poor place is doomed to close down. Empty, used to be lively. Goodbye childhood.
It's a standard mall built in the late 70's. It has not aged well. I honestly can't believe it's still open after nearby partridge creek opened its doors. It does have a Macy's still and a few other nice stores but really there isn't much here. I suspect it will end up like the rest of the malls of it's time and be converted to something else sooner rather than later.
Nice place to go. Lots of closed stores, but lots of great stores remain. It’s nice to go there and browse the stores and go to the food court for a meal. The food court is very successful.
I used to really enjoy this mall, but it is quickly diminishing. They need to freshen it up and encourage companies to lease stores. And stop thinking of covering it to an open mall like Partridge Creek. I purposely avoid Partridge Creek 75% of the year mainly due to weather. I dispise shopping in the rain and cold, so indoor malls are a necessity.
Good selection of stores and the mall is kept up
Great shopping place, Also beautiful place for kids.
Awesome. Laidback the place to be.
It has a Hot Topic
I'm visiting Michigan and had a nice stop at this mall. I wish there was a tourist shop here with shirts and gifts though.
I had a good experience and my nephew really enjoyed Capers!
Sad to see alot of stores are gone. We always find what we need when you visit. Mall is very clean.
I wanna thank the E Shopper's I am recommending that shopping online is a one-way transaction. You bought it You own it. Forever
The meal I bought at the Chinese eatery was very good.
Sad to see how many stores have closed! Lakeside is doing their very best to keep itself viable in this horrible retail economy. Personally, I don't get it. I want to see, touch & examine items I'm spending hard-earned $$ on. I can't trust a 3rd person, underpaid, factory-like employee filling thousands of orders every day to ensure the quality of the items I'm purchasing. Same reason i can't get myself to join a grocery delivery service. What kind of produce would we receive? Did they check it for bruises/freshness? Besides, i miss the mall experience! Walking, meeting, watching people and exploring with ALL of my senses. Not just 2-dimensional pics on a flat screen, where you can't tell how soft, sturdy or well-made it is. Technology is grand in many ways, but killing our society, socialization and interaction with other humans. LONG LIVE THE MALL! LMAO!
Friendly staff very helpful
My go to place for shopping with family. Enjoy the time there
Alot of stores over priced for somthing I could by at local swap meet
Good variety of stores!! Great mall!
Love some of their stores. Like shopping in person cause then your sure to get the right size. The mall itself seemed a little dead but I went there for American Eagle and they were packed! Great experience would highly recommended!
Only went to Werner Hallmark it was awesome Mary Ann and Lori are super friendly
I really like coming here. It's nice to walk around. Though unless you come here often it can be hard to memorize where everything is. Layout is interesting. Always pretty clean.
Made many great memories here, love his place
I love lakeside. Always nice and clean. Good food in the food court.
Great place too walk around and window shop.
Used to walk the mall on weekends to shop and meet salespeople. Sold cars for a living and I built up a nice referral business from the stores I did business with. My wife and daughter work there and work hard to generate return customers. They always greet people and have built great friendship with all the mall walkers. Take your children to the motorized animals. Nice people working there. Grab a cookie for your kids and let them ride.
This place is dead... They are no longer worth anyone's time. Everything is the same as the other. Each store was very intense, pushy sales men/wemon. Terrible place to save money, not a deal one in any retail location. The best part was the food court, and that was just a mash up of smells making it hard to enjoy any one thing. I know as a whole were trying to hold onto our malls, but there's gotta be a breaking point.. This trip will most likely be our last... SMH...
As a mall its average. I go mainly for Anime GT (formerly China Capital Arts). Been going to that store since it was at Great Lakes Crossing. Awesome selection of collectibles ranging from anime to weapons. They even have cold sodas from Asia. And Ice Cream! They also have ramen and candies from Asia as well. Plus some housewares. I love Anime GT!
I don't want them to close down! They need to bring in some headliners for singing or signing autographs... get some kind of business... to help get people to want to shop their. DON'T CLOSE PENNY'S PLEASE!
You have all the stores I need! Sad you guys have to shut down...
The Lakeside Mall, it was a very nice mall with many stores to look at. I really enjoyed the JCPenney and Macy's. Also, Guess had some very good sales going on. They also had a good food court with many choices. This mall also had one of those Calendar type shops that is just there for the holidays, they had some really nice items in there, and many sales.
Hard to navigate. Most stores overpriced

Though this place has seen better days, I still like coming here to shop, or to grab a bite in the food court.
Probably the only place left on the east side with all the major stores close together. The two part Macy's is inconvenient. Total opposite sides of the mall. The mall crowd is nothing like it once was; restaurants inside if the mall are limited too the food court and Macy's. The place is clean and seems pretty safe. Come in from the south because Hall Rd is crazy and under construction for the next forever.
I notice big changes in the mall, Maybe lower rent to draw in more Businesses
Many renovations have been made here. Great looking mall.
Lakeside Mall is a fun mall to go to. They have a great variety of stores and it's just a nice atmosphere there. And it's very easy to get to.
New stores and the one's you've always loved still there. Great food court and activities for the kids. Nice for mall walking indoors or window shopping when it's raining. Still great after 20yrs ago when my girlfriends and I would get dropped off and spend the day shopping having fun. Good memories
Just got done shopping at Lakeside Mall, been going there since the 70's. They have Macy's, JCPenney's, Lord & Taylor and (Hopefully) Sears, plus many other fine smaller store's. Also, unlike The Mall at Partridge Creek you don't need to walk around in the freezing cold and/or blistering heat to get to the next store you want to shop. Will keep supporting this Mall as long as I live in the area. Don't get me wrong, I do shop other shopping mall's in the area like Partridge Creek, but I remember to go to Lakeside on a regular bases; too help it remain a place to shop. -Charles S.
It was great until the fire alarm was pulled and we had to exit in the downpouring rain on the opposite side of the building....
Good place to walk around and a lot of places to visit
Lakeside Mall is very nice still one of the best looking malls
To big and alot of stores closeing... I think it's going to get redone or gone soon....everything is online now for shopping..like Amazon..so mall is dead...
My son called it the lameside mall. What happened to that mall. A lot of empty stores, the store that are there are mostly flea market, dollar store variety. There still is Macy's, JCPenny, Victoria Secrets and other typical stores, but will probably never go back. I can go to Partridge Creek or Laksode for a better shopping experience and for my kids as well.
I am in shock right now, I was shopping in the makeup department and every isle I went in I was followed, every isle I went in some employee acted like they were doing something. Never shopping there agian
I usually go to this mall to take my mom shopping. My mom and my children really love this mall. My children love the Merry go round the most. After shopping we sit in the food court and eat. It's always clean and peaceful in that area when we are there. My mom's favorite stores are at this mall so that's a plus.
Break areas. Worn out furnishings. Hasn't changed since the 70s.
Going downhill. Many stores closed. The ones that remain are good though
This mall stresses me out. I like macys and Nordstrom sales.
Nice place some employs seem lost.
Still a decent mall with plenty of stores. They have many of the staple department stores you should expect. Abercrombie is now a holiday craft area, and they did a decent job making it not look like a garage sale. We went for Santa, Saturday at 3 PM with maybe 2 other people in line.
Used to be super busy. Mall stil look good, still has some stores to visit but less people coming in now.
Went to Macy's looking for luggage for upcoming vacation season. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Quality of the luggage they advertised during their 48 hour sale was substandard. Service was wonderful.
Where are all the stores going to? This is sad dying mall. The outdoor mall stole all the stores down the road.
Great place to shop after many years in existence no criminal element here
It's a beautiful mall, almost empty. That's the only reason I gave it 3 stars.
The mall reminds me of old Fairlane in terms of external design and navigation. There are quite alot of stores, but just as equally, slots available for lease. There is always a patrol outside keeping an eye on the lot and general safety. There is a modest food court with varying cuisine; Asian, Italian, Middle Eastern, etc. and a little area for the kids to play. Finally, my favourite area is the gumball machine that has a lot of different flavour gumballs and also hard candy machines as well.
Clean, quiet and its starting to fill up with shops again
Really sad to see whats happening to this place. Times change I guess. Wish they could figure out what to do to keep people coming in.
This mall is in need of some creative thinking. It's old and needs to modernize.
I really think that it is a beautifull place but a little bit expensive you can find the same things in other stores for less
Decent Mall. Okay food court. Needs a coffee place.
The place is desaleit now. It looks half abandoned. You can find good sales if you look or want. I usually go to Macy's, Footlocker, & or journey that's about it.
I work at JCP. LOVE that mall
I remember this place in the 80s. It was the place to shop. Its a shame its not what it once was.
So many great memories. Love Macy's and Lord and Taylors. Really bummed that Panera is gone.
Lakeside mall has been around since we were kids. Can find just about anything you need surrounded by great restaurants ♡♡♡
Not a dead mall yet, but that's what they seem to be aiming for. It's last renovation was done years and years ago when aesthetics didn't matter much. Now it just looks like a hospital from the 80's. Unfortunately, more store closures rather than store openings is the trend at Lakeside. Any new store has just been reduced rent filler, the kind you see when malls are on the way out. Plus, the parking lot had needed repaving for years as well. Hey, other malls are surviving the internet. This one could have too if ownership hadn't been complacent and overconfident in their poorly aging product.
sad to see this mall going down there are great stores in it n good people
Very few options for plus size. Wouldnt recommend for anyone XXL and up.
Lakeside has a lot of nice stores but I hope they don't start looking like Eastland because there's a lot of stores gone now.
Nice mall that's held it's own even in the face of other malls folding and cornerstone retailers going out of business. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon walking around with the kids.
This mall is quite big and very clean. It has two levels with lots of good stores to shop from. They also have a carousel for kids as well.
It's nice to walk around and few people... Quiet...
Fun time at the Lakeside Mall Food Court! Granddaughter and dad rode the carousel two times... and several stationary but slow moving car rides and a food truck. Picture strips from the photo machine and some snacks rounded out our time there.
Great meeting place for shopping and spending time with friends and family!
It's a mall it does a good job I get lost pretty easily. I had to pick up something to save the freight it really wasn't worth it. I went in the wrong door and parked in the wrong lot I won't do that again . The customer service person spent 45 minutes with one customer. I really don't care for that. They want my business they has to have sufficient health and not let a line build where no line is supposed to ever build.
Not what it used to be like as a kid. But still a nice clean place. All the stores i needed are there. Merry Christmas
Good mall.... Malls are a thing of the past, but i still like them.
I wish this mall wasnt going down hill like the other malls:( I love shopping in person more than online!
