You will see all the reviews of real people who are purchasing the products and services of Lakeforest Mall (Mall) in the area close to Maryland.
To this day this firm receives a score of 3.6 over 5 and that score has been calculated on 3217 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is good, and it is founded on a very large number of scores, so we may think that the assessment is quite accurate. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to set scores when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Mall corresponds to the category of Shopping mall.
So many stores closed. Looks like a ghost town during the week. I don't know how the remaining stores are able to make money. I wish they had a good children clothing store there but since Gymboree and Crazy8 closed, the choices are very limited.
Lord & Taylor going out of business sale.dep discount.
It's always a mall for a quick shop. Very convenient and lots of my favorite stores, Macy's, Sephora, Zales etc.
A lot of closed stores. Felt very deserted.
Great for last minute/ quick shopping. The stores remaining have a decent variety and selection. There's lots of parking and if you mind your business, you will have no problems.
Parking lot throughout the winter clean and cleared of snow. No snow mounds seen when driving the perimeter. Bravo!
Good place to walk
Staff at T-Mobile store upstairs are inconsiderate and not attentive to their customers when one walks in. Walked up to a representative to see if maybe I could switch plans of service carriers to which the lady stated "Hold on" while not even looking up from her phone she was texting on. Maybe she was having some type of emergency but I was shocked such a action was exhibited. If you need to text, step off the floor & do it in private rather than telling a interested buyer/customer to hold on and not even hold eye contact nor look up. Very frustrated and won't be doing service with them EVER!!! Gave 3 stars to counter balance the horrible experience to ensure not such a negative impact on the otherwise nice range of other stores wouldn't bring down the overall rating.
Nothing of any value. Department stores carry only low level merchandise
Now I don't it's not a bad mall but it's dry baby it's dry. Every time I went I don't see much people at all and they don't have much stores inside that catch the eye. I believe they can do better but in all its not a bad mall just needs some people to appreciate it
It has some nice things
I give the mall a 5 because I can still do all my shopping in one place with a food court and nice dining.
This place dead as heck. Nobody visits, no stores left. The police followed me around for some reason. Next time I'll just use amazon.
It used to be a really nice mall back in the day
This poor mall has so many shops that are closed or closing. Nonetheless it's still nice. I hope that it can be revived someday.
Good mall like many others
When I lived here back in my school days this was the it mall. Always packed, always had something going on and had the best places to eat. I come back 15yrs later and the city has abandoned this mall. I only go here for Spencer’s or Hot Topic.
Update: went back to this mall because it has the only finishline closest to me. I noticed even less people and Lord and Taylor is closing. Not so great experiences at this mall. Went to Ruby Tuesday, bar tender using bad language loudly in front of children. We left! Went to Charlotte Russe yesterday, the sales associate didn't even know her own sales- which were clearly on signs all over the store. Back in 2013 I visited this mall regularly and it was alright. Had a bunch of stores that are top notch. It was lively and filled with decent people. Now it's just a run down, dirty-looking, old, and clearly dying out mess!
great mall , only some stores are open though
Went there to get a haircut at graceful touch barbershop and the mall close to the JCPenney's. Great shop, really good barbers. But the mall itself was a little empty about a quarter of the mall stores are closed it seems like it won't be open for much longer.
It's almost nonexistent. Most stores are closed. It's not the thriving shopping mall it used to be.
I LIVE LAKE FOREST SO MUCH!!! I HAD SO MANY CHILDHOOD MEMORIES THERE!! They took away McDonald's
Looked like a ghost town Very few stores open including anchor stores
Everything seem to be closing at LF Mall. So sad for Gaithersburg residents. The nearest Mall is Montgomery Mall.
Pretty decent mall. I like that there's a Rainbow clothing store in there. I went there on a Saturday and was surprised at how dead it was. I was expecting more of a crowd. Parking was easy, it was great not having to go through a hassle to find a parking space. Will come back again if I'm in the area.
Bring back Express, New York Company,Cinnabon. bring Guess, Gap, Tacos and Burritos, Bebe, fashion Nova
It just was much better in the nineties, with more stores open. Very surprised that Starbucks and McDonalds are both closed, though place is clean. Would be nice if this place have fountain water here, but don’t see them.
I'm getting nostalgic. I loved growing up in this mall. Please don't go away!
This mall on life support with many store fronts already deceased.. I only stopped here to return something at Macy's as it was a little closer on my journey than the Bethesda Mall... if you can drive the extra 15 to 20 minutes..go there instead.. this place is even empty on black Friday.. say no more.. its only a matter of time before they knock it down and build more town houses!
Business: Family Cuts , located near Metro Pcs really broke my heart. Look at what this barber Warren did to my son. If this guy wasn’t fifty years old, only god knows. If you look at the pictures he cut him places the kid doesn’t even hair. If you do go to this Barber Shop do not go to Warren G.
Not much to do, boring shops, but great food court. If like chinese food don't go to panda express. Eat at Cajun Grill it is cheaper, better food, and bigger quantity.
This mall is dying - walking around inside makes you feel as though you have traveled back in time to the 80s. There are many empty storefronts and those retailers that remain are small mom and pop shops that are taking advantage of the deeply discounted rental rates. The anchors seem to be on the verge of closing and have little in the way of inventory / selection.
Nice mall.
I grew up loving in this mall Lol. I LOVE THIS PLACE
It's an easily accessible mall for the Gaithersburg/Rockville area, but there isn't much variety. A few cool stores have moved out and there aren't enough shops there to keep me going back. An awesome mall 5-10+ years back, but not as great anymore in my opinion.
My kids enjoyed the place but said it needs some renovations. They said it needed fresh paint, new floors, and more decorations. Nevertheless, they had enjoyable time shopping and dining at the food court. They are 12 years old and hung out there by themselves for 2 hours.
Big variety of stores, comfortable and clean.
It a great Mall but need better Stores
A lot of strange stores that is geared towards 1 ethic group, no maps, felt lost in mall. No customer service help. Didn't feel safe didn't see security in parking lot or inside mall.disappointed.
Carney food is the best food.
Food court is the best.
Nice Mall with a wonderfull eatery on each floor.
I went on a Wednesday afternoon at the beginning of summer. Malls used to be bustling with teens. Not this one; not anymore. I visited "Blush and Brush", a makeover studio. I had a good experience.
I like the convenience of the mall. I just wish they could update it.
Great food at the food court. A good variety of clothing shops and phone companies.
the mall is pretty much dead. not much to do they need to completely revamp the mall if they want long term longevity
Very boring and the stores REALLY need to be updated
Sad it's closing, used to go there alot in highschool, lord and Taylors has super good deals!
$3 train rides best in the area!!!
Nice variety of stores, the food court is great. Some stores have closed or are closing ex. Charlotte Russe, Zumiez and JCpenny are closed and Lord n Taylor is closing so pretty much everything is on sale.
Food court needs an upgrade but cool stores
I think theyre closing down, but they have a arcade with rides for little children that my son loves.
This mall seems to be on the way down. 1 department store closed, another closing, a 3rd may close. Many small stores closed. The food court is still good.
They need to close this place and renovate it.
With a Mall that is slowly dying away like this in business, you're far better off going to the Clarksburg outlets or making the jump to West field Montgomery Mall or any other shopping centers/mall. There's not much here and the anchor stores don't look like they're going to hold up much longer.
Sadly in decay. Has fallen from the early 00's glory days. These glory days keep it at three. But with the eerie feeling walking in, as well as the higher crime rate is killing the mall, as we see across the nation Amazon kill malls, may as well go to Westfield imo.
Cool place to hangout. Kids will love the train ride. Almost all brand stores and mobile stores are available here. There are too many parking space. Best place for food too. It is not costly too. You will get a good meal for $10. Kids play area is available. Mostly crowded on weekends.
Went to the mall to eat with my friends and The food was good. Going to Lake forest mall is aways a pleasure as it is an occasion to meet new people
JC Penney is closing down at this mall. Not many stores left compared to 5;6 years ago
It used to be great but it has been going further and further downhill! Please demolish it and build a new one. Let me help with the project. This is embarrassing. I wouldn’t be surprised if people are living in there. Constant changes in management. People don’t seem to care about their jobs or their customer and even their employees!
This mall had better days
Many of the stores closed. There are still some good stores left. Though It’s a weird vibe walking through the mall knowing that it is near end of life. Unfortunate situation as a mall is good to have in this location if it were updated.
Overall not bad, but small is really old.
This used to be a glorious Place back in the 80s it's a shadow of its former self and pretty sad.
I feel sad like part of my childhood is dying bc this mall will probably close. So many memories. At least there are still spaces for kids to hav fun. The moonbounce store, a lot of kids to see Santa. Hot topic still there lol
Users to be great area very rundown now
The mall itself has 3 star but Leo’s Gourmet has all five(5)stars. They just don’t have a google business name set up yet. Is a little of a wait but mother and son will handle your sweet tooth needs. Their dedication and the love they put while they prep your crepes speaks a thousand times more then the wait itself. I deff recommend this place for a fix. She doesn’t speak English well but with a little patience she does a great job.
Dying mall... Most stores are closed or closing
Not crowded, I usually shop at Sears. There isn't much store help so you best count on shopping around longer
Basic mall. Nothing very exciting. And many stores are gone
Wonderful kid programs! Sad when Gymboree and other stores have closed but still enjoy going to Macy’s and JCPenney here. Good size Victoria secret and also a diverse food court that’s fun. I hope they keep doing the adventure kids programs they bring in some awesome entertainment for the kids !
This mall is pretty much dead nowadays other than during Black Friday. Several stores have come and gone and more are closing in the upcoming years. The ice rink is gone as well. Surprising, kids' train is still operational and they have plenty of activities for kids during Christmas time.
First visit there in 30 years. Lacks the charm it used to have.
I last visited this mall in 1990 how things have changed okay as much as anymore can anymore. I came into Wednesday around 11 in the morning so it was fairly dead the mall walkers were very polite and the shopkeepers were nice as well the bathroom was clean and had plenty of toilet paper. I'm sad that there was a number of unused booths or what have you but it is what it is.I was surprised at how good my cell reception wasn't in the my friend is AT&t and I have team and we had four bars and fast data even though there didn't seem to be a Wi-Fi it was lakeforest malls Wi-Fi. I don't know not that from all great place to go with a kid that we needed to entertain you while his mom was at a business meeting.
Enough space to go shopping, unfortunately the mall is closing
I visited my favorite store-Bath and Body Works. This mall has closed the main big businesses, but I am pleased to continue to shop the smaller stores
Great variety of stores and even though they shut down the play area for renovation at least they put bounce castles
The food court is nice, cheap and amazing varieties. The mall is so big that you can get lots of brands of every item you expect from malls, there are lots if outlet stores ,you will love visiting the area. The parking is free and abendant.
So many vacant storefronts! It's really changed a lot from the vibrant place I knew as a kid and teenager 20+ years ago.
As a huge traveler throughout this country, I have visited and gone in a variety of malls so I understand the difference between shopping centers, outlets, high end malls nice malls huge malls discount malls etc. I'm a mall guru so I don't place "favorites" based on superiority, I base it on quality, style, cleanliness, how clean and organized the food court is, thier food variety and seating. How mindful and clean bathrooms are and their practicalities... how well outlined the stores are....seating, how sensible and accessible each store is... parking... The store selections etc. So I say that bit to say when it comes to malls it all depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for an "experience" then this is NOT the mall for you. If you are looking to just shop casually and grab a quick bite, thier food court is just ok like a 4/10. The selection of stores are ok it's a practical local mall. So if your looking for Macy's or H&M things like that they are ok. To be clear: Lake Forest mall is not a mega mall or a sizeably small mall it's just an average mall with a nice selection. As far as style that's your personal preference you'll have to go in and see for yourself. * Another note is there is only one elevator in the most ridiculous location of the mall and two escalators in the most ridiculous positions in the mall. Parking is good depending on where your going. It's also across from a shopping center and a bus station so that's not to bad. But if your looking for an experience and a mall to strut in this is not it. There is not one vallet parking in sight so there's indicator number one. Loui V ,Cartier, coach, high end shopping etc is NOT IN THIS MALL. They did save the day with Lord &Taylor and a nice Macy's ... but that's it. But even if your not looking for high end merchandise it's a mediocre mall and just that. * This review is for the true shoppers and traveler. If your a regular person who just wants a quick bite and simple shopping then hey it's for you.* In rank: It's the mall right in the middle basically above a discount malls but below Columbia mall or Arundel ( in range) as Those are experience style type malls as an example. I hope this helps.
This mall is the mall I went to all of my life. It is sad to see this mall in its current condition and it’s current state. Hopefully someone buys this mall and renovates it. It’s sad seeing all of there stores closing.
GAWD, it's a shadow of what it used to be....even the Godiva chocolate store, Starbucks are things long gone. It's a shame in some ways, but brick and mortar shops in marginalized shopping venues such as this have really been hurt by the likes of Amazon. I just had some spare time and walked the gamut, but what went thru my mind was, what type of venues were left? Even the Silver Diner is gone, maybe the Borg assimilated the mall, who knows? Because there's hardly anything left.
It was ok. I was expecting a little better being the Gaithersburg.
The stores are closing one by one. JC Penney, Lord & Taylor......
I don't particularly like the mall itself, but I love love love Lord and Taylor!
Length mall that's well kept and has nice, family-acessible public restrooms. Charley's cheesesteaks has some fire cheese fries.
Very artificial, a bit like a faberge egg. Lots of clothing stores, too many jewelry stores.
Surprisingly clean.
Almost a Dead Mall! One anchor is Closing and Soon the Mall Will be Closing!
Nice mall but everything is way too expensive compared to Clarksburg premium outlet...
My closest mall. Has most of the stores I like. The food court is nice too.
Mall have some good stores. But needs a remodel and more variety, stores choices.
The mall was pretty nice
Lots of closed stores... Good for basic things, but nothing more than that.
this mall feels really dead and kinda depressing when u go. If you live around the area, I recommend Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda!! :)
There's not much appeal to this mall, at all. Even Lord & Taylor has gone downhill with the state of their store looking run down, bathroom stinking from a distance and mediocre customer service. The whole mall is along the same lines. I live 10 minutes away but find the drive to Rockville locations far more appealing that Lakeforest Mall.
The shops here are amazing. Im sad that not a lot of people go here though.
Enjoyed my Birthday shopping with my boo. Spoiled. Got everything I wanted & more!!
Watch out for kidnappers!! A white lady with a fair of glasses kept came and asked to hold my little less than two years old sister when my mom and I were looking to purchase foods at food court... Even we said no two times at two different food places she was still trying to hold her and I was about to fight then my mom told her my dad stood near by and at the same time my dad came out from the rest room... That lady walked out the door with her group of five peoples real fast.
I only come here because my eyebrow tech is here, she is located at Ronkys salon but will be leaving soon. My brows are always on point because of her.
Still a great mall.
There are a good amount of stores, but the place is a bit run down. It could use some paint and deep cleaning. There is a lot of wide open space that makes it feel empty. But there’s a Macy’s, a Lord&Taylor, and a lot of recognizable shops.
Never crowded and is very spacious!
This mall is so sad. All the stores are closing.
Good place to spend some time just shopping with family and friends
This place is on its last leg
This mall is okay. I really think it could use some more updated stores.
Enjoyed so much with family!!!
All shops are slowly closing. There is very limited shopping places but mind it, because not many people go there you can find good stuff
Probably one of my last Christmas season visits to the mall. This place is closing and feels desolate. Used to like coming here with the family. Starbucks beverage was good capturing the holiday vibe.
it’s not is fun anymore lt uesd to be .. I remember a big movie theater used to be at the mall
Cool mall with a lot of nice stores, many of which have better prices than the same stores in other malls. My favorites are FYE and Hot Topic! The mall is easy to navigate and has a lot of options for food, apparel, and entertainment. Highly reccomend!
Bit old but good location
They keep the kids play area clean. Good management.
Sad, but great store closing deals.
A ghost own
The mall is basically empty due to online shopping! Parking is a breeze and there are still great places to grab a bite at the eatery!
Ir has seen better data, lots of stores closed or about to close. Nice options still available though
It feels like a open market more than a mall. A lot of the stores are privately owned, not chain. Even the brand name stores don't carry the most recent items and look as if they are about to go out of business. The only time I ever step …
It is not the happy mall it used to be. No longer bustling. Then there is Sears. Should the Sears company get back on its feet there could be a little spark; but it appears this one is marked for the chopping block. Whether it's the salespeople in the major sites like Macy's or in these kiosks around the mall, nobody seems happy to be there. Hopefully that will all turn around. Lakeforest is in a great location right off I-270 on the west end of Montgomery Village.
Been here multiple times and I never get tired of this mall. Really sad that they took the kids play area in middle of the mall. I loved climbing and playing in there since I was a kid. #dantheman
The mall is dying. I really hope that the new owners can fix this mall before it's too late. Update: As of September 3rd, the Sears at this mall will be closing. Liquidation sales start later this month. This means that only Macys will be left when all is said and done.
This mall is ok since there is no mall near it's an ok place to shop.
Sbarro is my favorite pizza
A warm and friendly ambience
Everything good is now gone but still has that nostalgic feel...
The mall has changed. Some stores aren't there anymore. There was a nice Christmas concert featuring children playing piano and violin and choruses performing.
If you like ghetto malls... hey. Deals are decent I guess. Shoes and jewelry are about all this mall has that I care for.
Excellent selection of stores. Affordable places to shop. Only downfall is that it is located in a questionable area with lots of reported crime.
We had a great time watching the Chinese New Year Celebration! Highly recommend people to go next weekend; its still ongoing.
Terrible first time experience. Nobody was there it was a few families there but not a lot. I’ve never seen an empty mall like this before. It weird enough the mall is still running and people still getting paid because nobody comes there. Food quality was ok, they have way better food at Wheaton mall and Montgomery mall. Wayyy better stores. I didn’t have much stuff to choose from at forever21 at all. Didn’t even go to all the stores because no one was there it was BORING. They don’t even have many clothes to choose from. They need to shut it done. I’ll never be going back there again. Floors are terrible in some stores. People don’t even acknowledge customers because they know the place going downhill.
I used to love this mall, but the mall is going down! They have the worst stores open and I really think they should close everything and just make something new!!!
I don't think it's a really great place to go shopping there is not variability in shops
Most of you already know, this place is super janky. And you will either love it or hate it. Those of us that love it no that is a bit trashy, but it's our trashy mall and with all the other malls in the area trying to get fancy and put in a bunch of expensive stores, if you are on the budget and don't want to buy $500 Gucci everything this is definitely the place to go
I really don't got here. There's nothing to draw in people but the food court.
It's dying not many people go there. Good food. Needs better info about it I found shops I didn't even know where there.
Not much left here. Seems like no renovations are going to happen anytime soon.
Most of the stores within the mall have gone out of business. It’s not worth the drive unless you know for sure that the very few remaining stores has the specific thing you’re looking to buy.
It’s a mall. It’s not a good one. The one time and and last time i went there weren’t very many stores ope. at all. It’s kinda confusing to get around. My friend got her $200 ring stolen there. The whole time I was there from the moment we park it was sketched out. Even the outside doesn’t look the best. I would give it a one star but Im not bc it has very few good stores (hollister, forever 21,etc.) they also have dress stores which is good for formal occasions. Overall the mall is pretty sketchy and doesn’t have very much to offer. Really run down and not very many people go there.
Lakeforest is the best. Screw everyone that says this place is dead. Yeah, it will be gone in ten years, but this place still has some nice amenities. A good food court. Some okay shops. It's easily accessible via public transit. Ample parking. A Sears. Malls are on the way out, yeah, but I love this place.
Its in need of repair. But if you know exactly wearing ur going and your going to be in and out it not to bad.
The mall is slowly shutting down. A few stores have already pulled out
So expensive I'll stick to amazon and Walmart lol
Great mall friendly service especially from people at the kiosks.
Very good look mall. A Veriaty of food items in the food court.
Only go there to eat at Ruby Tuesday since it's the last one in the county.
Please take me off your list and contacts. Jacob
It is a small and cozy mall, but its weakness is that you have few recognized stores. There is a train that goes around the mall to entertain children and on the lower floor there are places for them to play.
