REVIEWS OF Country Club Plaza IN Kansas

Nice place to stroll around in the afternoon. Great shopping. Can have lunch or dinner in many different restaurants all of which never fail to please. Still must say it is not the pleasure it once was. To many chain stores and at times the crowds can get to rowdy

Ashok Modi

Supposedly, the first open air mall in the country. Nice mix of restaurants, shops, and pleasant unhurried feel to the place

Matthew Steven

What an amazing place. Great shops. Great restaurants. So many great places to take pictures and enjoy the many fountains. One could easily spend an entire weekend shopping and eating. Highly recommend going to KC and enjoying the plaza. A must see.

Lisa Fountain

I work right off the Plaza. Such a fun place to go hang out. So many shops and restaurants to enjoy!

Christine Murphy

A nice place to come for dining shopping or even walking around breathtaking scenery sculptures fountains

Nahu Dimitri

Nice commercial space that is very family oriented. The plethora of water fountains is also a big plus. My only suggestion would be to provide better pedestrian cross walks!

Teresa Neir

Plaza arts Fair. Went between rain showers. Brio had everything $2.00 at their stand. It was great. Not many people. Hate plaza parking.

Brandt Callahan

Ate at the Cheesecake Factory. Solid choice. But there are some other great restaurants down here. Jack Stack BBQ & Brio Tuscan are among some. And great shops, too. Definitely a place to hit up while in KC.

Natalie Bartlett

Really nice area. Super walkable from major hotels near by.

Shá D.

Overpriced, as most Plaza's are. It's becoming more obvious as venues leave. The environment is also changing, so five years from now it will be fully gentrified. Now that the AMC is gone, that was about the last piece of the puzzle in making it upscale, just as Crown Center did. Maybe for good reason to keep [certain] kids away. We'll see where things go now, and who it appeals to. It's a nice place to walk around, for the most part.

Christopher Jensen

Love the architecture of CCP... like a dollop of Spain in KC. History-wise, it's modeled after Seville by a famous artist to the area and has been this way since 1923... incredibly... pretty cool...

Dakota Niederhauser

Great place, but also kind of overrated. This is the place they always show on TV when talking about Kansas City and I wish it got a little less attention because it's not our downtown or our arts district or the power and light district, it isn't really a great representation of our city and I'm pretty sure the folks that funded and built this place, weren't the coolest people-- what I'm saying is it's just a shopping strip. It's expensive and kind of like a strip mall, but it's a fun stop all the same. Window shopping on a weekend morning? Absolutely. And the Plaza Art Fair is a must, but outside of those things, it's not that life-changing.

Lisa Winger

Many fantastic restaurants to go to. And if you enjoy shopping they have great places H&M is my favorite very reasonable prices and large selections. Great hotel to stay is the Raphael.

Larry Denger

The Plaza has KC's best selection of places to eat and shop. I like it because it is outdoors and not enclosed, your can hang out and spend as much time here as you like and there is something for everyone. Even the fountains are worth seeing and they're free! I'm a big fan, but maybe everyone doesn't like as much as I do.

Brett Brown

Very scenic. Fountains are great while in season. Lights at Christmas are worth seeing too. Great scenic photo ops either way.

Walt Cofer

I loved staying in this area, Hampton Inn and Suites. Lots of good eating and shopping options. I had dinner at several of the restaurants in the Country Club Plaza. Had a great dining experience in each. Got my exercise walking along Brush Creek. Highly recommend visiting this area.

Melissa

The perfect place for our honeymoon. Great for hotels...we are staying at the Raphael, entertainment, outstanding dining, and of course, shopping. I'm looking forward to checking out Tiffany's and many other unique shops. Built in the 1920s, this Spanish-inspired shopping "mall" makes the modern outdoor shopping malls look pretentious and paltry.

Heather C

Great variety of shops and restaurants all within walking distance. The area is clean, safe and I enjoyed my visit.

Ethan Kunz

Wife and I enjoyed our time here even though hot. The river is a bit on the smelly side because of the temp I assume. The shops were nice, and the entire area has an upscale feel to it that is refreshing in the Midwest world of half abandoned shopping malls and stores.

Mike Pearce

Lots of dining options and easy parking (just needs to be some ordinance passed for all the people "cruising" and blaring their music from their vehicles)

Chris Case

Enjoy this place while you can!!! The ones not spending any money, are running away the ones that are. But no one can say anything about the obvious, enjoy the homeless people living in Barnes & Noble.

Carissa Baker

Great and unique shopping. Several free parking garages. Very kind and helpful associates all around.

Gina Briones

I absolutely love our plaza. It's beautiful, glitzy and bustling with diversity and art.

Allera B

This shopping and dining district is designed in the image of Seville, Spain. There is a ton of history here. The display of Christmas lights between Thanksgiving and mid-January is amazing and unparalleled. There are a number of hotels in the area. Condos and apartment complexes are readily available if you want to live around the area. The Plaza used to be full of local restaurants and businesses. Unfortunately, the current owners are more interested in constant change and bringing in national chains.

Linda Deng

Amazing mall! Love the European architecture of the buildings - very peaceful and beautiful. Great area to be in when it's nice outside and great to walk around in.

Angela Wright

We were at the Plaza Art Fair this evening. Lovely weather, pretty good bands and lots of nice people. Enjoyed it!

Amy Best

Buca is a great place for lunch or dinner. Always nice to walk and see the different stores and fountains after a meal.

Cheryl Hinton

Shopping stores was good. Great to see all the pretty buildings.

BlackBeanerZey

I have only been here twice and not that long, so i cant really say how it is but from my experience i liked it, it's a big plaza you can find a lot of cool stores/restaurants to visit

eric mansouri

The Country Club Plaza is a perfect place to go and spend the day at. The stores inside of the Plaza are also very nice and there are a lot of different shops to see. The parking there is pretty easily accessible and the walking distance around the Plaza is pretty easy going. You can spend a good part of the day here or just jump in to one of your favorite stores real quick. Security is active as well here and the pathways are pretty clean and you will see the occasional person asking for money on the sides.

Jason Puett

Great to just walk around and take in the architecture, unique statuary and fountains, Brush Creek runs along side to the south. Free parking, nice park to the east. Great shops and restaurants

Doug Price

This is the place to go for a unique shopping experience! Many high class stores are available for your shopping pleasure and you can choose from the best restaurants in town. There's are a couple of public parking lots, but expect to walk a ways. This is really a fun place to go even if you're just window shopping!

Sheryl J Brooks

We enjoyed scooter around the shops. I miss the store with kitchen items and toy store. Mostly clothing stores not interested in. We like the Cheese store and bought cheese and pickled okra and popcorn! They have lots of cheese samples. I miss the old movie theatre it's Muriel's were great. There's now a burger joint to try along with the fancy restaurants. We enjoyed being outside seeing the architecture and fountains. We enjoyed the pretzel shop and took Cinnebuns home

Vishwa Sai Haneesha

Beautiful place to walk and hangout with friends. This place is so lively with lots of food restaurants, Bars, Music, Shopping centers, Apple and Tesla showrooms and a lot lot more, Must go place in Kansas city

Matt Young

Lots of shops and great places to eat. Check out Jack Stack for fantastic BBQ at fair prices.

Darwin Reyes

Can’t go wrong with the plaza it’s KC’s biggest tour trap for a good reason. Never really too crowded and lots of food options and many retail stores to choose from. What’s great is they also have several banking options as well

Tammy Fleming

Went to Chuys. First time there. Food was great. And a great value for the amount we got! Service was fast and friendly.

Rita Burkholder

Cheesecake Factory had an hour wait for 6 of us, but so worth the time we spent visiting with each other. The food was delicious! I'm getting lemon meringue cheesecake next time!

Mike Brodbeck

I go to the plaza often. Lots of stores to stop and plenty of places to eat. It's pretty popular at times so parking can be a pain in the butt, but other than that it's a great place to walk around and visit. Lots of cool fountains to see too! Definitely recommend it, definitely if you're a tourist. ✌

Ralph Stonner

This is a beautiful, historic part of Kansas City. The architecture, statues and landscaping alone are worth a long walk. There are also dozens or dining and shopping venues to enjoy. If you're a photographer you'll find lots of photo ops year round but particularly around the Christmas holidays when the Plaza is lit up in tens of thousands of lights.

Celeste Lupercio

Lots of shops and restaurants. Not my favorite place for either - too many chains. I prefer to support local. Lots of parking, though, which I really like about The Plaza.

Cynthia Davis

Well maintained. Always seems to have something interesting going on. Worth seeing the fountains especially when they color the water in support of local teams or events.

Kamisha Y

I attended the Plaza Art Fair 2019 .. Perfect Date Night. We made amazing memories!

Ramon Beards

Great place to stay and close to all the amenities downtown and the breakfast buffet is awesome. I would suggest that you pay your $5.00 for the buffet at check in or it will be $12.00 when you go to eat the next morning.

Mark Janesko

Too much curb space is taken up by Valet parking. They take up more room then needed.

Karen Young

Best outdoor shopping experience ever! High end stores, restaurants, cafes, carriage rides, museums, parks, music. Lots of places to sit and people watch. Many water fountains. Waterway with boats or just sitting and enjoying the beautiful flowers and buildings. The style will remind you of Spain. Charge your phone. You'll take a lot of pictures and videos.

Fawn Rojas

I love this area. Beautiful, pricy... Fun to window shop... Walking around, different architecture and fountains

Dave Bois

Not hard to see why this was named one of the top 50 public spaces in the world. 14 blocks of Moorish Spanish architecture mostly built in the 1920s. Great place to hang out or walk around

Vince Churchill

Higher end shopping & entertainment area with restaurants and movie theater. Mostly ignored it despite being in walking distance - we were much interested in local KC hang outs and eating spots.

Austin Gentry

Beautiful area! We were in town and though we would stop by to do some shopping and check out the plaza. Great stop if you are vising Kansas City.

Thomas Hines

Great place to spend sometime at! There are many shops to go into and everything is accessible by walking. Street parking seems to fill up quickly but there are several parking garages that are free. Definitely a good place for out of town visitors.

Cara Zdravkovski

If you are visiting KC or the surrounding area you MUST make a trip to the Plaza. Built in the early 1920's and modeled after Seville Spain. All constructed by European craftsmen. Beautiful fountains, flowers, patios, walking path and tennis courts. Numerous restaurants and shops. Be careful you may want to buy a second home here!

Shana Leonard

Beautiful Room. Dinner steaks were excellent. Desserts and breads need work underwhelming. Excellent female waiter. Breakfast good but Eggs Benedict had huge solid bread which was not good. Room very quiet at night. Beds and pillows super comfy. Employees were all very nice.

Kam B

Most places are great. Nice place to hang out. Can be pricey. So be prepared for that.

Susan Kearns

I will always love everything about the Plaza, just as I have for 60+ years. I am absolutely blessed to call Kansas City my home!

Jason Berglund

The plaza is a great place to go for shopping and food. It's always busy on the weekends. Plan on walking a lot if you want to explore.

Lyl Rose

Always a pleasure to wander the streets of KC in this area. Very good variety of shops and restaurants. It would be great if there were a place to stow luggage for out-of-towners visiting for the day. We had a nice sunny day and shopped and lunched. Very clean and safe.

Wendy Simpson

Omg visting from Detroit Mi my sons were giving us a tour it was Awesome

Jonathan Smith

We loved walking the Plaza on Red Friday! Beautiful buildings, fountains and statues make this area fascinating. It would be fun to take more time and learn more about some of its history.

Mari Reyes

I love walking this, whether it’s alone or with a group of loved ones. I surprisingly haven’t had an incident where a car is driving too fast yet, and I appreciate that! The people in the stores are so friendly as well. Overall a great atmosphere! Highly recommend coming

Nancy Minnick

Lovely outdoor shopping area in Spanish style architecture. Lots of shops and restaurants. Perfect place to walk around especially if the weather is nice.

Crystal Lee

I love all the little shops here and alot of great dining. Also if you work for postmates it's one of the greatest places to sit and wait for a delivery too!

Susan Jermaine Williams-Jones

We had dinner at Cheese Cake Factory and everything was delicious. Waiters were very kind and professional. They had a large crowd, but they got us a table in a timely manner. I will continue to go there, don't miss out on their fabulous cheese cake.

Neal Crosson-Hill

I feel like, over the years, there's been a lot of cheaper fashion moving in where this used to be a center with lots of prestige brands. I also think there are way too many restaurants but that seems to be the trend at most shopping areas. The Spanish villa theme is really nice and the Plaza Lights at the holidays are a huge KC tradition.

Adam

It's a great place to hang out that offers plenty of things to do. I've never been the kind of person to come here and just hang out. Generally, I would bring a date and we would plan going from different stores and just exploring. Honestly, one of the best experiences I have ever had and definitely made some great memories. I will definitely be back.

Andrew Blumhardt

Lots of shops and parking. This is one of the better malls in the Kansas City area. There is also a walking trail near by and plenty of things to do from dining, entertainment, shopping of course or just hanging out there is something for everyone here

Shanterria Nance

Shopped for men's wallet at Michael Kors. Unfortunately they don't carry men wallets at this time. The worker there was able to assist me with the online purchase along with free shipping which was convenient! Love the store and also the ability to go in store for purchasing.

Kobi Reese

This place was just a great big shopping area. You can pretty much just hang out here and just enjoy walking around this place and window shop. Very nice collections of stores here including Old Navy, a Nike store, plenty of restaurants and lots of others. I had a wonderful time here including having Dinner at Jack Stacks. Mmmmmm good.
