This is a non smoking outdoor shopping center! It is beautiful and very clean and also smells very good for being outdoors. The stores are reasonably priced. I wish they had more food options but the shopping is definitely great.

It's a cool concept, the "Outdoor Indoor Mall". The atmosphere instantly took me to Hawaii where these sort of things are commonplace. I like the variety of shops for the most part. The prices are a bit higher than they should be in my opinion, but I'm sure there's a great reason. Also, I went on a day when it was raining. There are some metal canopies over a lot of the walkways, but it doesn't stop(as Forrest Gump would say) "sideways rain."

Every time I arrive, I get excited like its my first time coming to the Outlets. It has a clean environment, always people walking around meaning it never feels like a ghost town, the stores are managed well and I am VERY thankful for Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors and other high end brands. Altoona was blessed!

The outlets have a good selection, but now it seems most "outlets" are just turning into a bigger mall instead of what they used to be. The discounts weren't plentiful (at least where we went - American Eagle and Old Navy) and the items are basically what you'd find at a local mall at similar prices.

Oh my GOODNESS! For so many years I had to drive to Williamsburg to shop the brands I love. Soo many trips! So obviously after the Outlets of DSM opened, I could not be happier. Such a great assortment of stores do always find great bargains. Just this past week they announced even more stores opening up this fall and some sooner. I about dropped my tea when I heard Kate Spade is opening!

Nice mall, but fairly useless and dead during the winter. Would rather go out to Jordan Creek than walk in the cold- and in Iowa it can be cold for quite awhile. Whoever thought an outdoor mall was a good idea in Iowa should be fired.

Our family loves shopping here! The stores are wonderful. The mall is clean. It’s easy to find what you need. Overall, it’s a pleasant shopping experience every time we go there. It can get a bit busy during the high shopping times, Black Friday & just before Christmas for example, but the lines usually move pretty fast when we’re there. We would recommend this center to anyone...but we don’t want the lines to get even longer...

Loved it, it is the best by far outlet mall I have been to yet. It is well built for both rain & shine; to relax after shopping for hours in unbelievably comfy chairs? & Assuming that you can sit down after the sun has set with their "fireplaces" after a long day of shopping, grab a bite to eat & sit back & relax next to the fire. I love the wide variety of stores that they have to offer as well; Converse outlet, Nike Outlet, Oldnavy Outlet, Express Outlet, Forever 21 outlet, a variety of restaurants, a bunch of different book, movie & video game outlet stores, etc. Those are just ONLY a few to name out of plenty. Con: A better map system to show actually where the stores are located, is needed.

I have a disability that's not visible which requires the use of a service dog. Every time I attempt to go to this mall I am followed by security given dirty looks by them and I have been questioned repeatedly whether she is a service dog. SHE WEARS A HARNESS THAT SAYS "SERVICE DOG DO NOT DISTRACT"!!!!!! In addition to her employee badge from my employer. I even bought a different harness for my dog to try to avoid being confronted by the Outlets of Des Moines' wannabe cops. I'll continue going West to shop. I and my service dog are welcome and I don't have to take therapy because I wanted a new outfit....

Not easy at all to navigate getting to it, or get out of it. I will have to continue to to go to The outlet mall in Williams Iowa. They are more accessible even to just parking basically in front of the store you want to shop in. Deffinately not for some one using crutches, cane, or handicapped. PLUS WHAT IS WITH NOT HAVING ALL OF THE STORES THAT WE LOOKED FORWARD TO HAVING? I NEVER HEARD OF MOST OF THE ONES THAT ARE THERE. I drove around the whole thing via my car and the parking lot and left. Did not find it arranged to even be able to explore it if I did see the name of a store I wanted to shop in. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE WHOLE PLACE.

Very clean,lots of parking ,great selection of brand name stores with some great sales.A good place for promotional or fund raising events.The only downside is that it needs more fast food offerings. It's conveniently located to nearby hotels,a casino, an amusement park, a state of the art movie theater and many restaurants.

It’s great to have a mall near by. Took the kids to see Santa and it was awesome! The person they have as Santa was amazing he was so good with the kids. They give you a free picture and a digital copy. Even though they were going to be going on a lunch break they stayed to let my kids take a picture. So sweet and amazing. The shops have some awesome deals as well. We will definitely be returning.

The outlet is well maintained and very clean. The store selection, to me, is a mixed bag. Some are great stores and others that I'll never have reason or desire to step into. I honestly never feel compelled to just walk around there, merely just get what I am there for and leave. To me it does not feel like a destination, just another stop.

Prices are not what they advertise. Still confused as to what is exactly 70% discounted. They run sales but prices are the same as any other mall. The associates pretty much stalk you as soon as you walk in the door.

Great selection of stores! I have a love hate relationship with it's outdoor/exposed design. I'm sure it's lovely when the weather is favorable but any other time and it's slightly annoying. Especially during winter. Good parking lot that circles the mall so that typically wherever you park you aren't too far from an entrance.

Looking forward to seeing the growth of this mall and the land surrounding it. We have fallen in love with the mall and the atmosphere it's owners have created. It's missing a few things like food variety/options but I have a feeling it will all come together in the near future.

Very few stores for a outlet and not much for men. No food places in the outlet center and not that many places to eat around it. Cheaply done like most everything in Iowa. Iowa prices meaning they are high. Give it less than 24 months to be open.

Good assortment. 1 store asked whether i was ready to checkout, even tho i had nothing from the store on me. I was carrying my own personal wallet which is their brand, so it may be possible they didnt notice it was clearly full of stuff. Bath & Body Works employees follow around the store too much. Within less that 5 minutes, 4 employees asked to help me. Spent no time telling them "no thanks" than i did shopping there!

Pretty cool place with tons of stores that you don't see in regular malls. Parking is also fairly close and convenient. It has a big outdoor fireplace in the center and everyone who works there seems friendly. My only complaint is that some items are clearly not marked down, so do some research before making a purchase. But you can find some good deals here if you look around.

FAST GROWING Outlets. When I first went last year, they had very few stores that I wold consider shopping at as a Gen Z who doens't like to spend money. But they are improving rather quickly - aka food court and F21 opening in the future. I personally think they need more hand warmers in the winter or having businesses handing out Hot Hands. I find myself jumping from store to store because I'm freezing.

InIt's okay. Just doesn't have the clothing or things that I need. There are no big and tall stores. They offered special order in a couple of stores, but I can that from home. Also, not sure why we are putting outdoor outlets back in the Midwest. Remember it's cold and snows here.

This is a nice outlet mall. You can tell it's all new and they are still waiting on some stores but it's still great. They had a band and food trucks which was cool. We also really like all the seating and outdoor fireplace. It's a nice little outing

We Love this mall! It has all of our favorites in one location!! It also has a nice fireplace and seating area in the middle! The only thing it needs is a larger food selection and it would be perfect! It is outdoors so it isn't the best if the weather is bad!
