This Mall is classified in the category of Shopping mall.
They have so many places to choose from. All the employees and the stores i went to were pleasant and its very clean!
Nice place to go to. Found what I was looking for
Eclectic venue with something to do for most people
Amazing for taking a quick break
I really enjoyed shopping here with my daughter.
Traveled to Chicago as me and my family usually do throughout the year. I've never been to this particular mall out of the millions of times I've been downtown. While it has everything you could ask for during the Christmas season I'd settle for one of the of the local malls. A few of their elevators were down, no real food court area. Beautiful. But not something I HAVE to do again.
Pretty cool mall. It was like 100 degrees though so I got the he!! Out of there
Spent too much in here but I'll definitely be going back.
This was the most boring mall I've ever been in, don't waste your time. Nothing but high cost woman stores, nothing for the guys except this gaming store that was ok. But overall it sucks.
The shops the atmosphere the events that take place
Nice mall, there is a large selection of different food items in the unique style food court. If you are looking for a store, it is probably located inside this mall.
I have to admit USA is such a beautiful country with so much variety, and so much fun things to do and places to visit. Chicago is such a chic place and this mall in particular is too, really loved the variety of stores they have here and the great environment of the mall. If you’re a girl who loves to shop like me, then definitely go here, this mall is great, nice scenery.
Great variety of stores! Really nice food, it was very clean!
Great place for shopping and restaurants.
Beautiful mall on the magnificent mile.
The tower itself is a nice monument. The mall itself is small but this is Chicago so it's not like there isn't more shopping options in walking distance. This mall in particular is a decent stop if you have kids. It has one of the better Lego stores in the Midwest and an elaborate American Girl doll store. So if you are walking around the area with kids it is worth stopping in.
Good place to shop, browse, or grab a quick bite to eat along Chicago's Magnificent Mile neighborhood. Worth having a look after seeing all of the high end department stores along the mile.
Terrible security while I was there these people were shop stealing almost knock me down the stairs.no police was there sadly these idiot's got away? Watertower needs more security on each floor on the electrics elevator and Electric stairs. It's such a shame! Be careful when you shop at water tower!
An amazing shopping center for all types of shoppers.
I had a blast. After going up the stairs with the waterfall in between I went to the Lego store and enjoyed the wonderful Lego sets they display. Then I went on to build my own figures. The staff was friendly and the asthetics were great! I'm not familiar with the other stores in that mall though.
Love this place have been coming here since a little girl. There is so much to do and see here in walking distance. This is a landmark for Chicagoans and visitors alike.
Love this store and team! So rewarding to see a beautiful store and team members want to make a difference and make you feel so important! There give back is truly inspiring to know purchases give yo others
Worth a visit. Interesting people are around. Significant in local and fairly recent history. On days with severe winds I experienced sum unpleasant wind chill. Adjacent to public transport and some great shopping opportunities as well as a great variety range of reasonably- priced dining opportunities.
Brand Shopping Mall but affordable price
There are a lot of cool things there, and the food was good I just don't suggest getting the banana and caramel crepes in food life after about 5 minutes they start tasting like soggy noodles
As malls across America die every day this place manages to hold onto the formula and succeed. Great range of stores and the usual suspect plus some independent hidden gems tucked away here and there. Great place for out of towners to avoid the weather and enjoy some retail therapy.
At the American Girl almost 2hrs. with the Granddaughter a Great experience for the both of us !
My friends and I often go to this shopping center. It is already as a landmark of the city because there are many tourists here. There are a lot of cool shops with brndovy things, and especially when there are lots of discounts and queues are terrible. The shopping center is very large, beautiful and clean. We even like to go there just to walk.
I have been going here since it was built and bring visitors to the Windy City to shop and enjoy. I'm sad I have no pictures to post because a security guard stopped me from taking ANY pictures. I wasn't in a store but in the landing by the glass elevator. I asked for more info, but I wasn't able to understand him. We took our guests to Woodfield in Schaumburg and had a blast.
Great atmosphere to walk around and shop. Dr. Suess exhibit was fun.
My babies loved the American girl& the Lego store!
Upscale and fancy shopping place! The best is the LEGO® Store
Beautiful area to walk through. So much going on.
Excellent array of shopping venues. Also the food court there is great.; not to mention the downtown atmosphere.
Love going there. Clean for a mall. Lots to choose from.
Best best best shopping place!!
The mall itself is rather average in size, but doesn't lack much. The Water Tower had a wide variety of shops like The LEGO store & American Girl Dolls. The mall was also clean and well lit. The atmosphere was welcoming and energetic.
Loved the retail shops and shopping at this Macy's is one of the best and love finding great deals.
Wow this place is big, the macy alone is some seven floors. Sure there may not be bargain stores but this is not where you are going for bargains. Did not have the best experience in the food court, but they were really nice and refunded me and let me pick something else
My name is IRA I took my wife Camille to water tower yesterday for dinner. My wife Camille loves water tower it's beautiful it's the king's Palace downtown. The food court has delicious healthy food for the physical body.
Variety of stores and food places. Definitely recommend David's Tea as an excellent tea store.
I went to Macy's and I got nice discounts on polo shirts. A/X polo shirt for $20? That's a steal!
Nice mall. Great food court with lots of eating options.
It’s a very nice mall with so many different stores. The Macy’s in this mall is huge, with over 7 floors. You can spend a whole day in this mall itself and not get bored. There is something for everyone here, because the variety is so wide. The mall staff is also very friendly.
Beautiful indoor mall on Chicago 's magnificent mile of shoppes. You could get lost in there for an hour or a day, there is something for everyone .
Worth going to. Has a lot of stores but it could have some more.
Good food Good atmosphere Family friendly Hanging out with kids before everyone goes off to college in the fall Enjoying life n Enjoying kids
Just a good place to shop and unwind
Pretty neat mall to go to. There are a lot of great stores and the architecture is amazing. The best part about the mall is the foodlife foodcourt. Best Mall food I have ever had.
Wheel of Water Tower Place I will tell you back in the 90s my friend who was an extrication assist he staged an event hanging in a straight jacket off of the 6th floor balcony and the police came and tried to arrest him and he escaped LOL that's a moment in time as far as Water Tower Place itself goes it keeps changing I was there last weekend it was packed with young people I miss some of the stores but it's always an adventure and the food court is wonderful and location is great just keep your eye on your wallet there are pickpocketer everywhere so we've been told otherwise it's Grand
Love this place. I use to work there at 2 different stores back in the day
Was the place to shop all major stores not not so much to much clutter on the difference levels people stoping ( trying to) you selling you want you are not interested in. To meny young kids running around and being loud security all over just standing around waiting for something to happen before doing anything. Not very impressive place for Chicago tourest. Sorry
Great place in really nice location, many stores and what I like is the food court because it have many restaurants and in really good prices , the design of the mall is really good
Most of the shops there don't carry larger than a 10 or a 12 so I go mostly for the Food Court. Starbucks, Bed, Bath and Beyond and The Bosy Shop.
I really loved this place. 7 levels of shops and restaurants. A great variety!
Love the Dr Suess gallery
A great shopping centre in the heart of Chicago on Michigan Street... Broad range of stores across the multiple floors with good selection of food restaurants as well. Free WI-FI was a bonus
Great shopping mall with all the big brands. This multi story mall also has the American girl store and a wonderful food court with lots of fast food and gourmet food pickup choices.
Lots of shops, convenient restrooms. It's impossible to find somewhere to sit at the food court.
Awesome food, nice selection of stores but everything is waaaay overpriced.
If you're going to go shopping for any kind of high end apparel from shoes, clothes, jewelry, lingerie it's there. Plus a really nice, big food court on 2nd flr.
I spent a good time with my family shopping at this magnificent place I love it! There’s no signs of crooked heads like in the other Malls! Thank goodness!
This building has the best restaurant, very busy but , the service was incredibly fast and food was fantastic.
Love this place. Also the Godiva place has the worlds silky icecream ever. Wish Oklahoma had one. I'm so bummed. I feel like Chicago is so far hands down best city ever. Thanks!
Nice stores in the mall. Just expensive parking
Service was excellent...food delicious..view...not so great....but memoribilia on walls made up for it.
How sad, remember this as a vibrant downtown mall. Now, a shell of its former self. Three stores per level, basically well known chains. Wasn't worth the stop.
Nice place to spend a couple hours with the wife and kids. Mall was clean and nice and very easy to navigate. Kids loved the LEGO store. There was a neat game and toy store near the top. Also a really nice candy store. If your family forces you to go to a mall this isn’t a bad option.
Has good store to shop at.
Ehhhh. Crowded and pushy. Elevators are always packed and stay out of the way as people just step right past you. My first time experiencing a mall that's tall and thin, not a fan. You have to move from floor to floor in a jam packed place. Escalators are the preferred choice but even those are super busy. Stores are all great as far as names. Prices are reasonable.
I just love it especially the bath and body works.
I had SURGERY on the 9th floor. They paid the $35 parking bill. My driver went to the modern art museum.
A must-visit and not to be missed at all. Michigan street is one of the most happening places in Chicago. Buzzing with people and activities..very lively.
Really great selection of stores. My favorites are probably the Adidas and Lego Stores.
We had really nice pizza. Loved the orange chairs.
Seriously beautiful place with lots of stores. It’s very clean and spacious. Great food options as well. Very much enjoyed walking through
Always a fun place to visit but so busy. Tons of restaurants and places to shop. The bathrooms are not always clean but otherwise worth a visit
Ride the elevator! Visit the stores Parking facility on site A bit of a tourist trap; however, when in Chicago...go shopping!! Tasty food choices
Always clean. Great restaurants. One of my favorites is foodlife and m burger. Yummy. I also love the skyline of the city. A must see.
Loved it. Must visit if you are in Chicago!
This is a nice place, but I honestly think it is a little overrated. The food court is good. But not great. There are some unique stores (highly recommend the Dr. Suess gallery). But I overall, there are better malls in the suburbs, in my opinion.
Great place to shop for clothes. I recommend Francesca's and juniors section of the mall
Great place for hanging out, coffee shops and, Lego Store, American Girl Store among many other shops. It is kid friendly, so my date with my daughters was a success. Highly recommended it.
Has so many great stores and looks really pretty from the inside. Parking is expensive but if you take the CTA then definitely one of the best places to shop for clothes.
This is an excellent place and beautifully built. I like the variety of foods available in the food court. You will have to monitor our children after 5 pm because we found out after 5 the children have to be with their parents if they are under the age of 18, not that I would allow my children to roam around unsupervised in the first place. This place is a nice getaway from the heat.
I love the mall, but the parking is way too expensive
GREAT atmosphere BUT pricey still nice for looking and admiring
What a fancy place to be seen. I stayed with a good friend of mine and I just cannot get enough of the view or the kindness of the staff.
The water tower was an experience. I didn't go shopping but went to visit only. On the way to the top, I met the pretty water glass like waterfall they designed. I was talking videos all the way up and didn't touch the installation as other people did, but just looking and filming was rewarding enough for me to the point that I didn't need to touch it as it already spoke to my curiosity and imagination. With the name, the tower sounds like something you'd see in a James Bond movie, and I am sure you'll love to visit it, and maybe shop.
A bit on the pricey side but it's to be expected in downtown Chicago. Regardless, I highly suggest it to anyone looking for a great mall experience.
Huge mall but hardly any specialty stores. It is a one of a kind design so if you are in the area I would check it out.
Great place to fish and walk your dog, the fall festival they have there is always fun to go to as well
Great food court with a lot of various choices in different cuisines. Many branded retail outlets.
It's a great mall to check out. A tad bit pricey on the whole.
I'VE BN GOING TO WATER TOWER SINCE I WAS A KID, EVEN WORKED THERE! THEY HAVE GREAT QUALITY ITEMS, HAVE ADDED SOME BEAUTIFUL ATTRACTIONS, OTHER STORES, SO A DEFINITE UPGRADE, BUT IT WAS EVERYTHING BEFORE THAT
It was cool. But needs a little more variety on the stores that are on there.
Nice variety of stores. We will be back.
I really like the water tower we go there quite often after my Dr. appointments. It would be 5 stars except for the fact the elevators are always out of order and the ones that aren't out of order seemingly take 5 hours to get to you. Other than that this is such a fun place to go and eat or walk around the mall inside.
This is a n8ce elegant place to shop!
Excellent indoor mall to take refuge in when the wind picks up! Everything retail inside is a big box department store and food choices are all pretty standard mall food fare. Still a great go-to for convenience and shelter, plus clean and accessible public restrooms are a huge plus.
Cool mall that's downtown in the gold coast area. Has lots of stores including a Lego store which is cool. Also has a food court with lots of options to choose from. Fun place to kill some time and do some shopping.
Many same stores as any mall, Bring back Marshall fields and company name and I bet many more sales!
Run of the mill mall in downtown Chicago. The American Girl Doll store draws lots of tourists, as well as some other upscale stores. Fun if you're in for a visit, overwhelming if you're a local.
Great place to do some shopping. The main signs only list the big name stores on each floor but check out the other stores. They have some great smaller businesses here. Be sure to visit the mezzanine for a bite to eat
This is probably the most impressive mall's I've ever seen in my life. Being seven stories, it has so many different kinds of stores
One of THE BEST malls I've ever been to! So much to do and buy there! So amazing!
My favorite mall. Great place. Nice stores with nice employees. Can get pretty crowded on Saturdays at lunch time. Super easy to get to by bus.
Very nice place esp. Macys where you get off and best prices
Very interesting vertical shopping mall you've got to see
Always new pop up stores and new things to see in the stores.
This mall is huge. And nice. I visited chicago several years ago and was blessed when i came to this shopping center so many options. A lot of hustlers too so watch out. But besides that , its so many options to enjoy down in thos area.
Mixed emotions about this mall. A few stores inside have really awesome employees and good products, and the food court definitely has enough to offer. But all in all the mall seems to be lacking, the stores are mainly female based, and it seems to take more time to get from floor to floor, than you actually spend on each floor. Good food, friendly people, just not worth the $34 dollar parking and extreme headache of reaching it.
The place that developed the idea of the vertical Mall. Stuff is kinda upscale. This is not the place to get bargains. But I like the food court here a lot. If you are here with a crowd, each person can order whatever they want and your family can put it all on one card. I am surprised that the Garrett popcorn place is on the seventh floor rather than on street level. The anchor for this place being called the magnificent mile.
Nice indoor mall environment. Various stores and restaurants. Laidback shopping experience.
Cute stuff I couldn’t find anywhere else
There's so many places for every person. No one can hate this place.
Usually busy during the weekend, but fun to shop on weekdays. There were food stalls and a food court where you can sit, relax and eat if you get tired of shopping. Great place.
Good location. Happy DoRite donuts are here now.
They only have a wheelchair entrance on one side of the building and that's in the back. Which would almost be cool if the building was four blocks long around! Then once you get in you can only go up to a certain floor in the mall.
Good for families: American Girl and Lego are next to each other. Clean and bright. A good option for a rainy day. Treat yourself to a Do-Rite donut. This was my go-to for shopping 30+ years ago but now feels more like a tourist draw than mall.
For how busy this place is, they keep the bathrooms and public areas super clean. I wish they had more stalls in the women’s room, though, and a normal food court with cheaper options. This mall is definitely my preferred alternative to the really expensive mall down the street- they have a mix of local stores and stores like Forever21, Victoria’s Secret, etc.
Very nice mall to shop. Fyi....this is place to go to forever 21!!
Cool spot to walk around... May want to check pric s elsewhere before you shop
Horrible place. My wife and I took our daughter and 12 of her friends into Chicago for her 16th birthday. We wanted to go to Foodlife for dinner since they have so many options to chose from and would allow the girls to eat what they would like. When we entered the lobby we where stopped by a swarm of mall cops who told us they have a policy of one adult for every 4 children under 17. After an embarrassing encounter we asked if they would escort us to the restaurant, that we only wanted to eat and not shop, they completely refused, told us we were not allowed in and to go find someplace else to eat. I guess once you are 18 you can run wild and free in the mall, but you're on complete lock down if you are 16 or 17. I don't know of any school class room, daycare, field trip or other parental guidance situation that requires a ratio of one adult for every 4 children. Foodlife lost 15 customers that night. I am glad to know that the retail and mall business is doing to well that they allow a wall of mall cops to refuse their business. I would suggest all of the businesses in Water Tower take the mall cop's advice and leave the mall.
They need to work on there racial profiling; because i got card with my dark skin friended and there was lighter skin people, behind us who didn’t get card!! I find it ridiculous that they profile base on skin color and I will never shop here again! Rather go to the 900 store instead!! Racist security
My favorite mall in Chicago! Lego store and great food selection among many other things.
A little bit of everything for everyone! Always a great time since I was a kid. Definitely recommend.
Love to come hete and shop, y once a year trip on the train then shopping
Convenient, but many shops have closed, lot of police and security and not the same experience it used to be.
Good place to go shopping and bring family
Spend several hours working there a few days each week. Truly busy frequently.
It's a good place to find a variety of things. You can get clothes, shoes, toys, jewelry, cosmetics. If you want just find everything in one place, this is that place. It's not a big mall but is pretty good for shopping.
Great location! Great stores! Great food! Big hit stores for kids include The Lego Store and American Girl. Plenty of shopping and food options for all.
Iconic Chicago shopping mall. One of the few successful "vertical" malls in the country. A good blend of affordable to near luxury level retailers plus a Macy's department store for an anchor. The food court, which consists of multiple stations (all by Lettuce Entertain You) is a cut above the usual with something for everyone.
All my favorite stores; very "Chicago" which i miss now that i live in burbs; good food options on the lower level (food court and separate restaurant-very cute) unique building... With glass elevator in the middle-stores around it... Just a great time and atmosphere. One of my favorite places to visit in the city
Classy and upscale place. Great for finding quality clothing and accessories. I actually had someone I had never met offer me a job with a large company while I was shopping here based on the fact he thought on sight alone that I would be a good addition to his company. Kind of a unique experience.
I love coming to this place, nice store, location
Went here during the Christmas Holidays, boy was this place packed. Not only that, the whole downtown area was a bustle. Good Shopping, got a hat, scarf, gloves and all the stuff needed for A Chicago winter. Decent Prices. Water Tower Place is a large urban, mixed-use development comprising a 758,000 sq ft shopping mall and 74 story skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The mall is located at 835 North Michigan Avenue, along the Magnificent Mile.
Was less than 1/2 mile from my hotel I was at...... it's worth going there.....
Not too much in here - and the parking was crazy for a couple of hours. There was only a bathroom on level 3 which was kind of odd, but very clean!
Love coming here for no particular reason:)
Mall with some interesting shops. We visited Dr Seuss and Lego specifically and then Macy's
It is a big mall located right in the heart of the busy street of N. Michigan Avenue. With Stores like Hollister and Forever 21 all the way to Macy’s and Morphe. It’s a good choice if you love to shop.
Mall staff are so kind and helpful. They helped our large family navigate.
Nice place to shop for everyone.
Water Tower Place was the preferred hangout during college, and that's from a campus down in South Loop. Multiple levels of shopping and snacks, and I believe they also have an on site movie theatre.
Easy to get there, has almost any retail store you need, strong wifi connection!
Every time I visit the food is delicious I had a grilled chicken sandwich it was amazing and the cook was wonderful very nice I hate that I forgot his name but if it helps I went to lunch at 5 he was working at the station called The Grill very very nice young man I was very pleased
This place is huge!!!... definitely one of the biggest shopping malls around....has great atmosphere and many things to see... plus to mention a very nice food court as well.... definitely a place to stop in and visit if in the area...
Lots of cool stores and good places to eat, but staff has been rude or impatient with me every time I've been here. Lots of entrepreneurs trying to sell stuff. You should still try to stop in if you can!
I am from Somaliland, the water Tower place It is the first awesome place I have seen in chicago On Tv
Great view specially night could spend a lot of time just relaxing there
I was actually here several months ago, but I enjoyed the shopping experience and the cookie dough hut.
It need a new look and need to be clean in the food court area and also more update stylish clothing stores, Macy only store that has designer brands. Mall so boring it needs an upbeat look for the mall for residence and tourist. Thank you so much!
This has to be the fanciest mall I've ever been to. Everything was nice and clean and well laid out.
Pretty place. Good for some shopping
Great shopping in Chicago. We found a cool kiosk featuring chocolate disguised as hand tools and other rustic-y knick knacks. Very cool cool place to shop. There was also an Adidas store with lots of cool soccer stuff. Seems like they're trying to push the Bastian Schweinsteiger jerseys, 'cause they had a lot of them.
