This Mall is classified in the category of Shopping mall.
River oaks is okay, but it’s not the mall it once was, new businesses are needed in there especially in the restaurant section,
This place has really gone down hill. Last time I was there a fight was starting to breakout I got out of there FAST!!!
Good place to go spend time with the kids
The restrooms at this mall is worst than any gas station off the highway. Broken toilets, urine smell is ungodly.
Lots if empty stores
Good shopping mall
Although lots of stores come and go I am never disappointed at what I find that's new and useful. There are a lot of pop up vendors that have great food items like this family owned gourmet popcorn shop that just moved in at the end of the food court. Check them out if you find yourself at River Oaks, the cherry popcorn is phenomenal. Overall I've spent a lot of time at this mall since I was a kid and it still serves it purpose.
The mall is a little older, but nice on the inside.
Store is completely dead. Mostly all stores have closed down. No business at all.
Great mall peaceful
It died no longer a shopping center
Went to the Amazon Locker one of the best things ever, you don't have to worry about your package, it's in a steel locker and they email you when your package have arrived. Not just place it at your door unsecured.
Not enough stores. JCPenney and Macy only large dept stores left.
It's been more than 5 years since I last walked thru River Oaks Mall. It's a shame that most of the businesses (large) have folded, moved away or have gone internet but thankful for the small new entrepreneurs that have sprung up and the large (Penny, Macy) that have stayed. It's good to have gotten out of the house or hotel to look and touched items for sale. Let's make every day SMALL BUSINESS DAY and if the big business are there..... visit them too.
I enjoy that mall
Have to be careful when shopping there
Much better than past years...
Nice place to browse the stores, and have lunch.
Very nice small neighborhood mall.
Just and eye sore from the outside. You still have a few decent stores, but they truly need an overhaul!
Best place to find Mikes
The mall was quiet and pleasant loved it. Always shop early !!
Getting eyebrows arched. They always do a decent job....dont remember the name of the place....right out of jc penney
They need to clean the restroom much better. They were not clean.
Always clean still the same mall I've been going to since I was a kid
We love shopping here
Pretty good spot since Macy's is there. Need to work on their food court.
I love the Macys at this location.
River oaks still the spot during the week very melon and out weekends Kool vibes good deals n very protected
This place used to be full of stuff, but now it seems quite barren. Would love to see it come back to life.
A great little shopping strip in Calumet City IL. You have a gray selection of stores with Sam's then across the street is a Mall with many other stores. There's a variety of restaurants including Sonic and Panda Express. There arw meant more stores close by so yout can get most anything yout may need or want. I enjoy shopping here then go home on the E-way.
Great shopping mall.
Its going down to how it used to be
I parked and went in at Penney store. The shoe department is right there. They keep it quite clean and in order, which is hard to do in that department. I am very happy with Penney store and hope it will stay!
I yyyyyyy6yy6 to tell 6yyyyyyy
My favorite place to shop I love having a mall in my community I shop where I live please continue to support
The food court is a joke, the whole mall looks like it's ran by these sweet tea pwople. A whole section of the mall is closed off and doesn't look like its ever going to reopen. No name brand store only ghetto shoe places. The mall it self was dirty with garbage on the ground. Just a whole mess, nothing like how it was when I was growing up.
There was nothing even up there to do or shop
Its a nice mall peaceful and a relaxed environment it's not a lot off traffic threw the mall which is the down side so they jacked up their prices in a lot of stores but it's still a ok mall to take the family
Got the songs you want and need to hear
Went to Buffalo Wild Wings on 159th and Torrence excellent
Love going to the river oaks Mall a lot stores to shop..
Still a good mall but need more upscale stores
If you want to keep these stores in your community, you will have to SUPPORT them. Don't keep driving out to other places and ordering from GIANTS that threaten how we shop. Support!!! Stores in or close to YOUR community!!
When I played one of their Fun Zone games and won a pink ball, with $2 included. When it was by the dropper it stop and didn't drop the ball.
Absolutely love going to the MAC store here in Macy's they always do a beautiful job on my makeup. Thank you
Lot's of abandoned stores. Messy parking lot. Dirty bathrooms.
In a world where malls are dying, River Oaks seems to be thriving!!
Always a great experience.
This is a great mall because you can just get a lot of stuff here.
River oaks center, this would be a great place for Amazon to take over the entire mall and build a factory right there.. ..Sad... I used to go to that mall a lot back in the 90s, but now with Sears and Macy's have moved out, and a lot of stores have pulled/ abandoned, and also huge water marks on the ceiling, I just can't see this mall lasting another 10 more years. The mall back in the 90s used to thrive with activity, and lots of book stores, and people eating at the food shops and McDonald's in the corner... The mall is just an empty shell now.
This mall is beginning to remind me of the Brickyard Mall in Chicago, back in the day, right before it was closed and torn down. The food court looks like a grave yard. There are a few good stores left. All we go for is the $10 eye brow shop for my wife and girls, and purchase gym shoes.
Oh Wee is a restaurant in the food court that serves jerk chicken nachos that are pretty good !
Sad decline of a once wonderful shopping venue; nothing fresh and attractive to draw and sustain shoppers coupled with a closed section make this mall a one note experience.
Best shopping mall around me
River Oaks is not what it used to be in the place is completely very just allowed to many young people also walking around
Hey they've got a nice little fragrance place in there to get the name of it but I was in there shopping around and The guy sells designer fragrances for pretty reasonable price
I visit Willo's oil shop
Always a pleasure to shop with the family
They have great shops and a lot of choices
I love this place
The best place to visit fast convenient and always have what I want
Great ambience crab cakes were ok ottimos and pappadeauxs have better cakes but hugos is bigger very diverse crowd servers were awesome loved it definitely will be back...
Amazing mall facility, they basically have all that I need . This is a great place especially for shoes and clothing, it's simple yet satisfying. They were remodeling to make the place even look better. It's clean and secure place. Totally worth your time looking and shopping around.
The mall was clean and easy to see where each store was at.
Love shopping here very clean and friendly center
Didn't have much of anything!
Place is terrible half the stores are closed and food court is worse
Not many stores to do a lot of shopping. People mainly come to waste time or buy shoes. Not much to eat. If you do stop by support ooh wee sweet tea they are good and it's a growing business
Shopping with girlfriend at jcPenny. They had a great sale there today. Found plenty of bargins.
Used to love going here but they closed all my major stores
Malls are closing weekly. Yet I still enjoy the mall experience. Truly enjoyed a couple hours at the mall
Looks vacant and desolate as Lincoln mall was before closing. Only good is JCPenny ,Macy's, Ooh Wee , Kay's dress shoes and The watch repair shop east of atat store and of course the Look!! Lobe their suits
Great place shop n food court
Almost ready to be abandoned. Neighborhood frightening at night. Stores not staying.
Great shopping experience no long lines
You should be ashamed if you step in this place lol
I appreciate the jobs that this mall creates and hope that it can be rejuvenated into a place that can meet the needs of a broader range of consumers. Currently there is very little diversity when it comes to the types of stores, and products offered inside of the mall. If you need clothes, shoes, or jewelery this is the place for you. If you're looking for more than that this mall probably won't meet your needs.
Wheres the store. Kiosk only pretty much. Hot in the summer. Just ugh
It's the same as it's been for years. I guess that means outdated. It serves it's purpose of being a shopping mall. You'll most likely find what you're looking for. There's adequate parking, it's just dimly lit and a little outdated.
JCPenny one of my favorite places to shop.
SUPER JJ FISH Chicken& rib in river oaks mall ❌food was horrible. no seasoning, all the food had to much batter, fries were under cooked and it took them an an hour. And they sold out of water. The pops were very small for 250. Ribs had more sauce then ribs I do not recommend them at all.
They had a sale and I got things I didn't expect Good stuff were cheap
I like to get my eyebrows done in a shop near jcpenny
Store attendants are very helpful and friendly.
This mall was the bomb when they first opened back in the 90's when i worked for Frederick's of Hollywood and they had the Jurassic Park theme...but now....this mall is just tired..i don't want to shop there so i can walk around looking like everyone else..im good
this mall is truly for kids not adults......it a struggling mall.
Macy’s Express JCP and VS
A Wonderful and Safe Place to shop and have a nice meal or even a massage (chairs located throughout the mall, and enjoy the vibrations of the chair) I would have given it 5 stars but the SEARS DEPARTMENT STORE AND AUTO REPAIR & TIRE SHOPS ARE GONE THANKS TO THE CROOKED CEO WHO WAS GIVEN 3 TRIES TO STRAIGHTEN OUT SEARS & K-MART. AND MARSHALL FIELDS IS GONE. MACY'S CAN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE TOP OF THE LINE PRODUCTS, APPAREL, AND COSMETICS BUT IT WILL DO.
Malls are a relic of the past where ppl would enjoy browsing and perusing stores for items to purchase. Now everything is online and folks forgot how to enjoy a visit to the mall. River Oaks mall is fun. Quiet, kids can run around, there plenty stores and home one of Chicagolands few FYE stores. Funko pop central. Might find some rare ones. Last time I visited there was a sale.
GNC was great, location, prices
Great service all around, clean, good food. If I could give it 10 stars I would
There are some good stores and the food court here. But the bathrooms are not in good shape.
For this to be one of the Simon Malls, they ought to be ashamed, in comparison to Orland Mall which is also Simon, so much cleaner, better stores there, come on guys, could do better, although income is lower and more minorities, ppl are still spending the same green money in your malls. Please do some updates and better stores.
It's okay to do a little shopping at its nothing like it use to be.
No stores really . I was just as said as the Zoo with no animals
Great mall with a fantastic variety of stores very friendly atmosphere.
Is nice and good prices
Lots of empty stores and restaurants. Limited fashions.
Four stars because the mall still has some really good stores as Macy's, Express, Jimmy Jazz, JCPenney with Sephora, Rue 21, Rainbow and Victoria Secret. They don't have a lot of the original stores when they first open, but still a good variety of shoes stores, jewerly places, small boutique, and hair/nails salon. They have a fun center with games and such. So I think that's cool for the kids. If you're into music, F.Y.E. is still there. The food court is getting better, before it was dead, but my last visit a lot more food options. I really like that. This mall definitely isn't like others malls, but it isn't another dead mall. I shop here once in awhile, it's closer than any mall that's still available.
As a child growing up, this was a nice mall. A lot of businesses have come and gone, but new one came in their place. Still a nice mall.
It would be nice if they would fix the mens bathroom, its been nasty and smelly for a very long time now. only one sink to wash your hands, plastic over the majority of the toilets and urinals. The odor in there makes you sick to the stomach!!!!!!!!!
Kim Stratton's lunch buffet is the only reason I went here and it was not disappointing! Delicious. And she did an event for veterans, which is why I support her even more!
I love the shopping mall it has just about everything
Not the same mall from 10yrs ago. But they still have some decent stores.
Love shopping there.
Clean and employees were nice.
I love this place
Very nice mall I bought a whole bunch of stuff in here this is the spot
It's a really big shopping mall, it's a shame lots of big stores move out.
It too hot in this mall. They had no air.
It's mainly dead but still ok
This place unfortunately became a ghost town. All the stores have closed and there is no where to shop anymore. So sad because once upon a time this was a thriving mall.
Needs more security outside but its great.
Still okay to shop. Smaller than it used to be.
Don't like this mall to ghetto not enough stores in mall. Dull as hell very boring not much going on
Great serving 9 5ward AGA amen
I love malls so I liked this one!!!!!
I received an excellent massage from the Relax Center!
I can fine Everything I want
The only closes mall left.
Enjoy the old school candy shop by the food court but not great mall to visit. Has alot of gang activity inside the mall.
Vision works is good for glasses.
A place waiting to died.
Omg I haven't been to this mall since I was a teenager. It's much cleaner and nicer now. I hate going to malls but I'll probably be back now. It was congested less stores, less ghettoness lol.
My first time there was in the early 70's and my last time there was 10 years ago and it's gone completely down hill.It use to be a very nice somewhat upscale outdoor mall but it just looks and smells like any enclosed mall.
This place is going downhill, hate to see it slowly fade away
Always a good experience here. It's convenient and they always have what I need!!
I love shopping here, plus it's close to my house. It's a shame though, alot of the businesses that were there for years are no longer there.
One of the last great Shopping Malls
This mall needs to close down, I feel bad for the business owners there, but people in that neighborhood do not appreciate shopping malls. This mall is a hang out spot for dropout teens and adults who have no jobs. This mall is infested with ignorant people that makes shopping there unpleasant. The stores are empty and the staff plays more than work. Macy's need to relocate.
It used to be a great shopping mall. Now it's basically barren. A few stores left but nothing to go out of your way for. Basically a place for young people to hang out.
The mall is nice but it needs more stores and remodeling.
Very nice and professional place
If you come here for sneakers you will not be disappointed. Although this mall doesn't have the most stores, what it does have is great. The Macy's has the best clothe for men and women. There is also a store that has beautiful prom dresses.
It was much better years ago. You can see it slowly decline. Kind of sad, actually.
It's an okay mall if you're bored and just want to walk around with friends. They have some nice stores to buy clothes like New York and Company (business casual attire) or Too Cute (party, cute outfits). There are also a couple of shoe stores that sell snapbacks and sports related apparel. Also there is a small arcade and candy/cereal store that was recently opened so that makes the place a lot more appealing for younger people! Other than that unfortunately the mall is pretty dead. Too many stores get closed down constantly. And the food court is sub par. Alot of the restaurants there were shut down as well. Another thing to watch out for is fights! Many kids come here to fight and I rarely see security there. I go at least once a month but have stopped due to fights, lack of things to do. Oh and if you're looking to lease a cart or kiosk to start your business up, they usually offer many spots scattered around the mall. Still you might want to consider opening a business there with the influx of people that come mainly to hang out rather than spend (from my personal observations).
Not that many stores, so my visits here are always quick. I mainly go to the Bath & Body works store for the ongoing deals!
They need more stores but they're keeping up pretty well.
Very nice and clean, I love this mall
I’m only giving it a 1 cause the super JJ’s is the nastiest place ever. It doesn’t take like no other JJ’s and on top of it all they take over 35mins to make 4 wings. I believe they givin JJ’s a bad reputation.... Never again will I come to this location to eat or recommend it!!!. The other restaurants in the mall are decent and they fast; they food taste wayyyyy better.
Very Nice
Shops are mostly targeting teens and young adults
Good place to shop and to get your watch fixed at the Watch Ladies booth
Decent mall for last minute shopping.
That was great and JCPenney is going out of the appliance business so the have some great sales going on now for appliances
I love Macy's there Lancom department is great.
Nice shopping area!
Mall looks pretty terrible outside, but there are some great stores inside such as Gnc, T mobile, Custom Tees, Ooh Wee Tea, Lady Foot locker, NY & Co and Finish line. Wish there was more variety in the food court and a better variety of stores. The jewelry shops and shoe stores are much to vast.
I went to JCPENNEY to use a gift card my niece sent me for my birthday. I purchased 3 Marvel t-shirts. Marvel forever!
Shopping for a new outfit. Looking for the picture merchant and poet
You'll find everything in a very nice place ;)
Still a beautiful place to go walkin thru...
Great for being your sexiest
Nice shopping & food court
Nice place to shop
We had a suprise party at Smart Chill Cafe for our daughter's birthday. The staff was very attentive in making sure we had everything we needed!
Not a safe environment as it use to be.
