This Mall is classified in the category of Shopping mall.
Nice place at the gym
There's nothing here. Don't waste your time
This mall is a nice place to do some exercise, but that is where it's resemblance to normal malls end. This is a bizarre mall with many sports studio's, a few nice restaurants, and heaps of art. There are also many offices inside. Hosts the number one grocery store in town. Common ground food co-op on the North East side. There is an open cafe at it's center. On the North side is the independent media center, and the Urbana bus station. There is a historic hotel on the south side
Not really much of a mall. These days, it's more of a "business suite".
Close to me hey
The Farmers market is always a Saturday treat!
3 stars for how it is used. 5 stars for what it could be.
If you like wide open spaces, but want to be in a controlled and comfortable environment, visit Lincoln Square Mall in Urbana Illinois. The cavernous interior give a visitor a lots of breathing room. An unusual place to visit. Inside you may shop for Jewelry, Art, Food. Exotic restaurants are there. Plus you can exercise at a health facility or go to church. There is even a board game store where you can while away the hours gaming. If nothing else, you can just go for a walk without worrying about the nuances of Mother Nature's whims.
OK Needs a serious facelift. Urbana seems to not understand business in general.
Place to do your walking exercises.
It's a quiet, peaceful , shopping experience. Has more than ample parking.
Love this historic mall. Some cute shops.
Compact and easily walkable Mall facility offers shops with local flavor, food, game and activities.
Sad about this mall. One of the original malls in our area, it's now lacking in stores, customers, and restaurants. Used to be a great community experience but now it's dead.
I love coming here.
The building is in good condition. The main stores I shop at are The Art Coop, Gopher Mafia Games, and The Courage Connection. The food court is nice and has two restaurants with many options. Tang Dynasty is an excellent restaurant that is near the South entrance. I also shop at Common Ground for groceries. There is also a Gym and several other shops.
It's dead it needs that hotels up and running
As everyone knows when we can Square Mall is lacking... But retail space is cheap and I myself have started thinking about renting a space to start a computer shop
Common Ground Food CoOp is wonderful! We always have a vegan Reuben and get soup to go.
Not much here. Some good businesses like the food co-op and a yoga studio, but it looks like its best days are gone
Meh... Probably best to tear it down and redevelop, but ok otherwise
Best part is the farmer's market Saturdays in the summer. Mall is clean and well maintained, but there's hardly any good shops there. Maybe once the adjoining hotel gets renovated like it's supposed to it will bring in better stores.
A public space that has survived somehow. Quiet, clean, spacious, hospitable.
Very well maintained.
The Idea Store is the best place ever conceived of and every area with underserved schools and children should have one. Seriously.
This is a lively ' dead' mall. There aren't any chain stores, only local businesses and creative use of space.
Fun but needs help.
Wish there was a little more going on there, but Piato, International Galleries, and the Art Coop are definitely places we go to often. Also, PATS is great, when necessary.
It's good clothes
Love this place... Full of local Artians
Pretty well equipped with goodr wares, but also pretty expensive
Nice friendly mall, but not many places to shop
Great place to shop and visit!
We were there for the market on the square and really enjoyed it
Nice people and businesses, not too lively
Not much here and almost everything is closed by 7pm.
Most boring Mall ever...there are a couple good stores, but that's it.
Lincoln square was the place to be at back in the day but now things have changed there it's more layed back and calm now. So since it's change its been a better place to chill at and look around and shop for things that other places may not have that you are looking for. So besides that Lincoln square has alot of history over the years
New life is being breathed into this once overlooked mall. Art stores, organic food store, autism facility, art shows, role ayi.g game store, acupuncture, art coop art supplies. Not bad at all. Clean as well. Shop and have fun. They hold a farmers market here as well.
Kind of a weird mall, but I dig the vibe.
This was the first indoor mall in the US! Unfortunately, it has been dying. Piatos and Common Ground Food Co-op are the best things going for it now. Definitely give them support, but realize it is not in its hay-day.
Older but still some cool shop!
We come here year round for the farmers market and couldn't be more impressed. Local produce, beautiful art and even home made dog treats that my fur baby loves!
A quirky little mall! It's got some unique stores, including an art coop and a used supply/knickknack store. It's also built right into the historic (definitely not haunted) Landmark hotel. Starting in November, the Urbana farmer's market will be run out of the mall, so there'll be even more shopping to be had!
Need new store's
Not mch there
Lincoln Square seems vacant at times with so many stores gone, but the company running it deserves credit for going forward as best they can. Piato is gone, Artmart too, but the Common Ground food co-op is lively, and now opens at 8:00 am instead of 7:00. The thrift store and Art Co-op are doing business beginning at 10:00 am. Tang Dynasty is still a part of LS for lunch & dinner.
It's pretty empty. Cool spot for the indoor market at the square, and the coop and a spattering of other decent businesses are there, but it's pretty empty. It could be cool, with some work on the part of the owners. Needs a good coffee shop inside.
It's okay there.
Love the size of this place for the Midwest town it's in.
This place has potential, but there is not a whole lot going for it right now. Better lighting or a minimal remodel in the common areas would be a huge improvement.
Good place to walk and window shop
The I.D.E.A.. shop is wonderful source for ccrafters, the Resale store has large variety of goods, wonderful for browsing the shops but be aware that they open around ten A.M. I enjoyed my visit.
I was greeted by a respectable you man. I didn't wait long and was greeted by a respectable young woman. I was in and out which was very nice. She answered all my questions. I left very pleased.
Not much is in that mall however I went there for one of the businesses that I'm located in there but I guess it like all the malls in America. Not much shopping to do but lots of other things are in there
Its hard to call it a mall.
Small..not alot if stores ..this is a pretty crappy mall
A nice place for walking in the winter
Clean mall, appears to be different and catering to a bunch of other needs. When you walk in there is a grocery and a fabrics store and a small theatre. Need to go in the mall more to see what else is being offered.
Fun place to walk around. I enjoy visiting WGNN here and the Food Coop too.
A nice place to go to, has some small shops. But is a shadow of its former self. I still recommend it though, as it has a small restaurant called Piatos and quite a few other places. I felt I should put a review as the others were from over 3 years ago.
Love this place! So nostalgic since I grew up near there.
Highly artistic place. But more visitors are needed.
It's sad that it's not busy here
Clean environment. Good food court. Help available on request. Nice variety of merchants.
How do you review a place like this? You go there if you have a reason to. It has yoga, a gym, an arts and crafts store, a gaming store, a bible education center. A lot of people go there to walk around.
I took my nephew's to the Read Across America event and it was so much fun!
It is sad to see It not reaching it goals not much research went into its planning. This mall here to loose to online shopping
Good for the small mall it is, not as good as I remembered though
If more people went to this mall I am sure it would be a good place to go habitually.
Was there for Home show. Was good to see people there. Obviously under utilized, needs more events. Farmers market starts soon, always a good thing if only for people watching.
Cool place
The oldest mall in the area, and is trying to reinvent itself. Currently it hosts a great food co-o.o, a fabulous quilt shop, and a terrific art supply store. In warm weather it hosts the Farmers' Market in the parking lot, and in winter vendors come inside to sell their goods. There are vacant store fronts, one which is planned as a children's museum.
This "mall" is so podunk. It needs to be demolished, to be replaced by something more modern.
Nice little mall filled with this and that
A peaceful place not crowded and you can walk daily and play table tennis some times
There us an amazing store in this mall called courage connection and they help many people out there. I go every weekend to see what I can find, sometimes I can find some pretty cook stuff in there. They have clothes. decorative items, dishes, toys, and furniture even.
Absolutely love Reverend Freeman
From Co-op to art and fine cuisine.
Not much to do
It's a cool place with some offices and lots of quirky shops. If you're normal your business is not going to do well here. Hooray for the weird! (Also, one of the first indoor malls in America, but holding up well).
Not many open stores, very awkward store hours. Common ground, Art Mart, Acupuncture, Exercise area, Chinese food, Transitions (thrift store), and Piato (when you could catch them open) are the only reason why I would come to Lincoln Square. Very big mall but little life is within it.
A pretty dead mall, but there are a couple of awesome stores that still exist there. Go Idea Shop!
Nice and peaceful place to visit
This place needs businesses. City if Urbana is a joke not allowing Hilton to purchase Jummers and bring life back to this mell. Common ground is great tho!!
Big and spacious! Good for walking! Needs a few more stores.
What appears to have been once a commercial shopping mall has turned into a community space with some great local shops! I hope more dying malls turn back to the community for support!
there's just not much going on here in general as a mall. They hold special events from time to time though. Outdoor farmer's market is great as well.
Used to be something special back in the day, but now it seems like no one can keep a business in there. So sad.
The mall it's self is dumpy. I wouldn't think of ever going there except for a little restaurant on the inside that servers Africa food. It's a small place with WONDERFUL food. It is a must!!!!!! Stango is the name of the restaurant.
Not much left here. I remember the old days when this place was booming. I do love Art Coop, and of course and the Co-Op
Here for train show, no ATM in mall
Great place to shop
The parts men were not very friendly or helpful
The Co-op should expand! They need new popular stores added as well!
This place is a dump. I love the co-op, but it is the only thing worth while there (along with the game store). They have run out everything else that is good. Seriously...bulldoze this place.
Super shoping.
The whole Mall is like a rehab, and everyone needs a cigarette or some change as they walk by you
we just love this small mall there are many different things to do on Saturday morning.
Not much to shop at.. Rarely go. 3ach time confirms why..
I like that they host indoor events for our community. They have some great establishments in there, too!
Lincoln square is great
Love the Food Co-op and the Art Coop especially!
Not very quiet when school kids run up in there being intentionally dueschey
There is nothing of importance here it is so dead like a ghost town
Alot of great shops
Good farmers market, great stores, especially common ground market.
Some good stores. There are a few vacancies. Nice place to walk for excersizing.
Older mall, one of the first in state. Usually quiet, not very busy.
Lincoln Square Mall is a good place to get good food and hang out. Be sure to check out Gopher Mafia Games. It is a great place!
I visit this place for the farmer's market. Wish this place had more things to offer.
Was there for the labor day parade
It's okay
Very cool place to shop.
Small but cozy
Love this place
I just enjoy the fact that Lincoln Square Mall is so accessible by several modes of transit. Food, the farmers markets, restaurants, shops, banks, the public library are all situated in convenient proximity and nicely configured for shared traffic. A great antidote to car only areas.
Kind of desert but with interesting shops and companies
I have always loved going to Lincoln square since a child they need more stores to keep it alive
Fitness center and grocery store - good reason to go there every day.
It's my quiet place. It hasn't changed in four score and seven years ago
Mall prices to expensive for my taste shop on line.
I just go there to get my daily steps in. It is a ok place to be
This place is what you get when you put socialists in charge of operating a for profit establishment... an empty building.
The idea store is like Goodwill for Arts and Crafts. Sweet shop.
Its completely empty of customers. There are a few businesses but they are all random. It not a place I would call a mall. It is directly behind the court house. It makes parking easier. You park in the mall parking then walk through to the back of the mall to the courthouse. The only thing I enjoy is the large farmers market on Saturdays.
Do something useful with this building please. The home show is a rip off to contractors.
Every Saturday there are events going in
It's really empty. Kid friendly zone available. And awesome dollar store available that had materials found in Target. Unique jewelry store. And townie art store. No eatery, and strange churches lurk about now
I like this mall because it's so hippy dippy and hosts so many great events!
5 stars for the scenery although I am a bit of an introvert so personally I think it was a bit crowded for my taste. But It still deserves 5 stars. :)
Not much of anything here
Beautiful mall. First of its kind in the country. I visited here all of the time 50÷ years ago when I was a child. Unfortunately most remnants have left. Miss the whale and the bear.
A small but clean mall. You'll only find locally owned businesses here, which is great for the local economy, but means that hours are limited at most stores.
Hardly nothing here!
man, this mall is dead :(
Not much !
Still a bit lonely but not for lack of trying
Love this place. Don't have many people but don't cool stores.
Great place to get 40K miniatures!
Stopped in the Art store, has some unique little gifts too!
Quirky, fun, hyper local. Love it.
These are the most amazing people in the world. Glad I stopped in. The Art Coop is the best art store in town.
Interesting mix of stores. Nice facility
It's high but everything is good in the food department lol nice place to shop and eat
Not good for shopping. But it has got Co-op store (worth going to), yoga studio, and a Chinese restaurant and few more.
Great small town mall.
I sometimes come to this mall simply to relax. However, the men's bathroom is an absolute pit, sometimes even lacking toilet paper in the stalls. The place could use a deep clean and a better cleaning staff to keep it clean.
Not a friendly place anymore students at door smoking dope and all high I left
Several stores here I love, the food co-OP and the art mart are the top 2
I love Lincoln Square! They are trying very hard to prevent it going the way of many malls and they are working to keep it a vibrant part of the Urbana community.
Good place to shop. Alas, it is very dead now
We love the resale shop!
Doing the best they can to survive the post-mall economy with hosting great local events and making the most of the space. My rating would be higher if they would find a vision to move into future. Right now it feels like a ghost town.
If you like dead malls, this is not quite dead enough to have a fully abandonded vibe. The food co-op is actually thriving. Contains plenty of "how is this in a mall?" storefronts.
-10 outside: this walkway provides a great way to warm up and keep in the right direction towards Schnucks and Starbuck's. Great food at restaurants and Common Grounds health food store.
Glad to see it's coming back! Hope more stores open there!
