This Mall corresponds to the category of Shopping mall.
I believe the mall was built in the late 70s or early 80s.
Not so populated but nice has almost every store
Its a mall. Needs more stores
Would love a directory to know what stores to go to for specific Items. I was looking for Levi 501 jeans.
Not worth going, only 2 actual sit down restaurants (Mexican burrito place and panda express), have a auntie's Anne's (always stale) and a deils popcorn ran by 13 year olds who could care less about keeping a clean store and just play on their phones. The stores in the mall are expensive and grasping at straws. Even the mall security is off, they will not hesitate to follow you around especially if you are female or not caucasian. If you want to go to the mall I heavily implore you to go to a real mall and not waste your time and money here. I wish I could give zero stars.
Went to Verizon store. Staff was helpful..friendly and I was waited on in a timely manner
Great sales today.
Has great variety!
Not much variety in store selection. Many empty spaces where businesses could be.
Didn't have to search long
Nice clean mall
The remaing stores should go in halves on a bulldozer and just demo the entire place its worthless nothing but shoe stores selling the same shoes Ross and tj max are the same store with different names Kohls always looks like a truck drove threw it von maur requires a loan to buy anything this mall is a joke just a place to watch stores close and decatur go farther down the gutter
Mall is becoming more attractive with the addition of bigger stores! Love going to tjmaxx and hobby lobby without even driving!
Not much here anymore .
How is this place even still open? Has turned into more of a flea-market and low-end stores except for 2 of the anchors. Head elsewhere for a better experience.
Okay mall.
Place is dead. 20y ago when I was a kid it was always packed and stores were filled. But this is the cause and effect of people losing their good paying jobs like Firestone, and caterpillar beating their employees down and not paying and providing good benefits anymore with a bogus two tier benefits scale.
Fun place to hang out in Forsyth with friends! I would like to see it have more stores, it was sad to see 6 stores close is about 4 months. I go there quite a lot with my friends, the people are helpful and always asking if we need help!
Another strip mall in another Kentucky community
Still several nice stores and shops at the mall. Nice place to shop
Most of the big name stores gone
Not much going on at the mall these days. It was like a ghost town inside. The parking lot could use some work.
Mall is going down hill
This place is on life support. They will soon be on the, abandoned malls of America, website.
Keep up good works Love LIFT us
We ate lunch at the food court at a Mexican restaurant. The food was great and plentiful and reasonably priced. We also shopped at Kohls, where we bought everything we needed, and then some.
It was very quiet and enjoyable
Its nice but more options in the food court would be great
It's ok but there's really nothing there sorry to see soon empty.I really need to fix the arcade area bring in more stores they need to bring in more areas for kids more areas shopping food the whole thing needs a new renovation
My 4 year old loves to make wishes at the fountain and run on the steps.
Not enough business's
Going down hill
Quaint little dying Mall, as a bunch of decent shops in it, a few fun unique little shopps you won't find in other malls. And a really cool water fountain display that will probably get shut down as the mall loses its last anchors.
Looking more like a ghost town. Either lower the rent to attract better stores or close it down.
I love just to come and walk around. Entertaining and just a place to have a great time!
The mall itself is well maintained and clean. The stores that are here are nice, however there are not many. If there was a better selection of stores I'd give this place 5 stars.
Good I guess lol
There are some nice stores but many struggle to stay in business and close. Subway and Panda Express are currently available in the food court but there are very few other options for eating. The mall has multiple shoe stores, major department stores, and a few unique smaller stores.
Kind of a ghost town compared to a decade ago. Can't compete with online retailers I suppose.
Nice indoor playground for the kids. Need some more stores...seems like several close every month!
Glad to see the Hickory Point Mall still open although there's not a whole lot of really good shopping there with the exception of off the wall
A decent mall, hardly anymore shops! Still just fun to walk around.
The steaks were awesome and so was everything else, service and all. A very pleasant time
Loosing customers interest. it has served its purpose for many years, and might be time to shut down.
This place looks like a ghost of Christmas past from the 70's. No JC Penney's, Sears and No Bergner's . Decatur, IL has a pattern of unable to support anything. Very disappointed!! Good place to walk!! Thank goodness for TJ MAXX, KOHL'S, HOBBY LOBBY. PUT A MEIJERS, TRADER JOE'S, OR A NORDSTROM'S IN THE MALL!! GLAD VON MAUR'S HASN'T LEFT!!
Place is really starting to feel of K2. Youth starting to really gather here and argue again
Mall management tries to keep stores in mall. They make effort to keep up. Very clean.
This mall has really changed over the years. It's had a great loss of major stores closing or moving. A disappointment of sorts.
Dying a slow death
There are barely any stores left in this mall. Walking through it you see more leasing signs for space then you do sale signs. It's a shame because the nearest shopping mall is at least 40 minutes in any direction
I wish it weren't true, but this mall is struggling. I love Kohl's, TJ Maxx, and Hobby Lobby. I miss Old Navy and MC Sports.
Boo... the only decent places in the mall seem to be Kohls and the Shoe department.
Very nice mall. Clean restrooms. Staff was nice and friendly. They have lost some stores but the ones that remain are really nice and worth checking out.
It's an ok mall. Certainly can find what you're looking for or simply hang or with friends
Fun place to shop
Not as good as it use to be.
Dumpster fire of a place.
Really awsome
Terrific stores to shop for great gift items
Nice little mall, but there are barley any stores to shop in as everything is closing.
Lovely this mall The stores are great! Sad that several have closed. Several businesses have moved in to the empty stores and I hope more follow.
Good place to hangout for some time. Must visit Hobby Lobby and Off the wall. Kohl's is the answer for your needs. Tjmax is another shop to buy some gift items at cheaper rates.
If I could give zero star rating I would have.Very very sad. This mall is so empty and out of date. More people walking than shopping. Stores still in mall are overstocked with ugly, overpriced stuff. Worker at pretzel place could not even speak English and gave us what we did not order...tried to charge us $5 for cheese sauce. TYPICAL DECATUR ATMOSPHERE. THIEVES! VERY VERY BAD FOR MALL BUSINESSES! I will shop in Springfield or Champagne from now on.
Mainly for the richer people and hardly any stores even stay in business there because the rent.
It is a wonderful establishment but there are very little stores with selection. All Though there is little selection, this joint building of stores is quite clean, friendly, and with excellent variety of different stores.
Sad, needs more than TJ Maxx.
Fun visiting
This place needs to close. Not enough stores and more are closing. There are only like 3 stores that are good the rest have nothing. Panda Express is the only restaurant that is successful there.
No where to shop this dry mall!!! No stores!!
Great place to hang out.
Just goong downhill fast
Good parking....no problems
Great for indoor walking, lots of empty stores.
The stores that are there are great, but I would like to see more business in there, and also events, to get people out shopping.
Not really much of a mall. Hardly any stores.
Nice n clean. Loved all the different stores.
Great stores
A lot of the stores were closed, or closing. Looked like it was getting ready to shut down.
Love the stores and the employees are always nice and helpful.
Nice mall for a small town
This place had taken a nose dive and I would assume it's on its way to extinction
I love the food. The place was clean. Staff was friendly.
It is depressing! About the only good store left is Kohls!
Not alot of stores to visit very dead atmosphere needs more. Stores
Not much left here but the stores they do have are good
Went to Kohls, cashier was very helpful. Just wish they had more stores
Nice comity of stuff good prices. Nice place to shop.
I love this place, I buy from here when me and my friends hang, but they keep taking away stores and it is very sad to see. I am in fear that this mall will turn into the mall in Mattoon.
It's alright, there are currently more things in this mall. However, I only go to see friends, or odds and ends. More of a convince for me personally but I'll generally go to other surrounding towns malls if I really want to go to a mall. Has a decent play area for children also.
Like every other Mall in the country, it has its issues, but I love it and always will. A good variety of stores. I hope they can fill the empty spaces with more good ones!
Went to Kohl's. Always go when I make it home for my Cubs and Bear's shirts.
Not much there anymore
They are losing great stores, sears, bergners other good places all gone
Hickory mall is ok but I prefer white oaks mall
Mall seems dead most times. Maybe because there isn't a lot of variety in store choices. If I need shoes, I'll go... sometimes jeans even. Hobby lobby is cool. I guess the dead stores could be a good thing though if you aren't into people. Over priced makeup, clothes, shoes. The coffee place isn't even great anymore (staff are great, coffee selection is super slim.)
I love this mall. It's a shame that so many stores are pulling out because it's just a nice relaxing place to shop and let the kids play. I recommend done type of staff or security supervision near the kid's play area to assist with unsupervised kids who actually hurt other children.
It's sad to say that the mall is not getting any better. With the loss of some major stores and the cost of rent so high for smaller stores, there is just not much to do at this mall anymore. If local owners had it, just maybe they could turn it around, till then, best of luck.
Sadly this mall gets a bad rap because it cannot seem to hold stores. The reality is that the community has to support those stores too by shopping local. I love shopping at this mall because there are some great stores and I don't have to fight crowds everywhere. I just wish they could keep a bookstore -- technology is slowly edging brick and mortar stores.
Need more stores to come back more food places and stores that fit not just for the rich and able
No enough choices for trendy clothes
Plenty of parking and easy access to the different stores.
It's a clean place, but could use a wider range of clothes and footwear since one of their largest shoe stores closed their doors and left that mall. It would also be nice if they had more stores that had clothes for men, not just little boys' clothes.
It's a dead mall, like so many others today. It's a great place to walk and stay dry, though!
Alot of empty "stores" no
Still a good place to shop. Hobby lobby, Kohl's, etc.
The mall has a lot of vacant spaces giving it a very empty feeling.
A very busy Walmart unit that appears to have a stocking problem Several times we have been unable to find the usual items that we shop for on a regular basis. I noticed that there were several empty areas , especially in electronics. This was very disappointing to me. I also bought a new desktop computer that, Microsoft found full of apparently installed viruses and malware. It cost me over $1000. Dollars to have a new, never used unit, cleaned and reset. I will not buy another computer from Walmart.
I usually don't mind going to the HPM, never have had any problems with people while there like others have. The stores are becoming few and far between. I think they should attempt to put a Gordmans in the old Sears building and allow for businesses to build onto the property. There is a lot of unused parking lot that would serve for more restaurants, like for instance a Golden Corral behind Texas Roadhouse and Red Lobster. Just a thought. Not a bad mall to go to if you're bored, but nothing to significantly brag about.
Needs more lighting. Need friendlier service
I dont think it will survive much longer, so many empty spots, so sad, one of my great memory as a teen, shopping with friends.
Still interesting stores.
Kohl's prices were very affordable
Its good if you want buy clothes, shoes, kitchen supples, etc.
Some good stores amongst closed ones
The mall is an awesome place to shop. There are several stores for a variety of clothing styles and prices. There are also awesome food places to eat in the mall as well as a kids play area and a small arcade.
Practically useless to go here
Probably the worst mall I've ever been to half of the shops are closed only five good stores in the whole place.
Nice mall.. alot of shops are closed tho!!
Not enough store selections
Great shopping here AND all around. Awesome selection.
Everything you could want
Hickory point mall was a awsome place to shop in 1990s now it is a dinosaur with terminal cancer I mean good lord not even a book store and a friend told me that even sub way has evacuated this mall time for the thing to close or make a new game plan. They should turn this time capsule into apartments because its dying big time i miss spencers and sun coast man oh man those were great stores to shop at. Another thing that makes no sense is why they have all the security for such an abandoned mall
Clean, open and friendly staff.
It has Kohl's, Ross, Tj Max, Shoe Depot, Panda...
Met my nephew there. Didn't go inside. Too many memories. They did let him park his car there til he could get it started. That was nice of them.
Clean and nice.
Not many shops here any more
Great place to shop, not enough stores
A place to cool down when it is hot outside
Nice mall. Good environment. A few empty stores but it is close enough to my home
Wow nice clothes at very cheap prices Ross has it going on
Panda Express was good but the mall seems empty
It's really nothing there anymore it's a waste of time
Nice shopping center. Found great deals
I am from Urbana so I'm familiar with subpar malls but Hickory Pointe tops my subpar list. The ONLY thing I like is that stores like Ross and Hobby Lobby are connected so you can park once and go to those kind of stores all in one place. In Champaign those are not mall stores and are not by one another. So you have to drive and park and go in them all separately across town. So, that's my reason for the two stars. Convenience.
This place is sadly dying
The mall is half empty! Dying!
Want to go walk around in an empty spooky building? Then youve come to the right place! Legend has it that this was once a thriving center of commerce, comolete with food courts and places people actually wanted to shop! These days you can hit Von Maur and journeys and leave for the most part. Perhaps someone should remind the dinosaurs that run this place that the people that spend money dont want stores that sell mattresses and 16 perfumes that smell like talcum powder and fake flowers, and cater to the younger crowd that used to keep malls open
I love it here so much everu penny here spent is worth it
Visit with All About Eyes, very good results. Dr. and all are very professional and personal.
Online shopping is the way to do it now, but there Auntie Anne's makes it worth the trip
Sad shell of a 1980s shopping mall. RIP.
We are failing people, so many empty stores in here. Sad when a city the size of Decatur cannot support a smaller mall like this. The only store here worth making this a destination is VonMaur.
Place was scarce of people, be had a great time with my fiance looking around
It's dying a slow painful death. Some stores are there but not many.
Mall is mostly empty, the few stores remaining are easy to get to and eager to please. Great deals as well.
Malls have a hard time surviving anymore with online shopping. This mall recently added Hobby Lobby, Ross, and TJ Maxx. Usually not too busy which is nice for shopping. The newly added Burrito Express is good (would recommend over Panda Express and Subway). The kids enjoy the play area and Center Stage water area.
Has a variety of stores. Great place for walking indoors
Love Rural King being in the mall but parking isn't great
While several stores have left, typical across the country, our mall remains a great place for safe indoor walking and a good place to find basic needs. TJ Max and Kohl’s have a wide variety of clothing and household needs, there is a large shoe store, Hobby Lobby has home decor and decorating supplies, and Von Maur continues to be a high end store with cosmetics, jewelry and a good selection of clothing for the family. Add in a couple of restaurants, Del’s popcorn and some specialty stores......not a bad place to shop! Support local!
Lots of closed down store fronts. Otherwise a nice mall. Great play area for small children
Sadly too many stores are gone. Place was empty of people.
I feel bad for shopping malls. The retail business is not what it used to be.
Back to school busy but at Kohl's was checked out in a timely manner
Going down hill quickly. Not a safe place for teens.
They need more and better stores.
