All I can say is you read my mind and redid the mall or are still doing so, it's taking better shape but I think more can be done in the parking lot with landscape and added parking management for Jewel

Good location to get groceries, go to the bank and get coffee. They are adding a few other stores as well. So there will be other options soon. What I like is that most every thing you need is centrally located. Fairly easy to get in and out.

Furniture sores, Bed Bath and Beyond and Jewel grocery stores anchor this strip mall. Unfortunately, lots of empty stores still.

Parking lot is complicated... If you are heading north on Waukegan then you need to turn in as soon as you can (left) where mattress firm is there's no sign for Jewel here but it's there. Otherwise if you go west on Lake Cook then u-turn at the next light then you can pull into the lot by Jewel.

Since Jewel Osco moved out of Wisconsin, we have certain things that are only offered by Jewel. So we make special stops when near one. And it's a mandatory stop when heading out of town for a few days. The Deerbrook store is one of the best, cleanest, and we'll stocked store's I've been in.

Deerbrook is mostly a huge empty parking lot, the Dump is only open 3 days a week and Hobby lobby is closed on Sunday. Getting from one store to another involves a long walk outside through a desolate parking lot, very uninviting. A weak selection of stores and restaurants that includes 2 furniture stores and 2 matress stores are all this half mile long mall offers. The Metra and Amtrak line runs behind Deerbrook, but Amtrak doesn't stop. From a world class perspective, Deerbrook is an embarrassment.

Oh yes, this place. We do not have this shopping center here in my town but let me tell you, the quality of food they have here is excellent. Tons if selection.

This mall is in transition, but I am happy to see that it is getting some big furniture stores, such as The Dump and Art Van Furniture. Much of the mall has been rebuilt in the past few years, including Jewel.
