You will see all the reviews of people who have information of the services of Alton Square Mall (Mall) around Illinois area.
Now this firm receives a score of 3.6 stars over 5 and that rating has been based on 678 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is really positive, and it is based on a large number of scores, so we can conclude that the valuation is very faithful. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to set feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Mall belongs to the category of Shopping mall.
Not many clerks around the store. Need help? The customer has to go searching for s sales person
Been going here for 30 years! Not a fan of the carpet though
I give it 5 stars because of the SALES!!! I love a sale plus coupons on top of that plus 20% off if you use your JCPenny's card. Can't beat that!! I hope they stay open because everything else is closed all around the.. I think Ross is still open. This was once a thriving mall filled with stores and a food court. It's ashame how it just all went away.. . Well at least JCPenny's is still here. Right?
Not much left to visit. Very bare
Sad to see this place fall so far...still great place to get my miles in...out of the heat...
Ate here. Had Gyros for dinner. It wasn't bad.
Great library
Nice mall that needs a few more stores.
Not much left.
Just went to Ross store
Didn't really get into mall. Only shopped Penney this visit.
Nice mall
They need more stores. All they have going for them is a few shoes stores, Ross, Olga's and the Cookie Factory.
This Mall. Has it all. Great stores and associates.
It's pretty much empty.
There's not much to say it's Alton Square Mall LOL
I love It I just wish it had more store like it used to
Kidney stone one of the last malls left is trying to make a comeback I hope it does
I miss the old days back when the mall was thriving. The toy store and actual food court. Now it's just a shell of a building. The stores that are left are hanging on by a thread. I really wish the mall owners would try and bring in new things. A movie theater in the old Sears, bring a Starbucks and Chik-Fil-A to the food court, Old Navy, Carter's. The mall needs help and it seems as though no one is willing.its heartbreaking.
Small but very attractive
Love the carnival in parking lot and the library in the mall..great ideal. Indy could do this alot of non shoppers would love it too...
Not what they used to be
JCP always a fan
So sad to see all the stores that have left. We visit mall often, though we usually go for the library. The last time we were there Gamestop and the haircut place had closed. Right now there are no stores upstairs and only about half the store fronts downstairs open.
Even after 30+ years this place is still lively and kicking. I remember coming here even as a kid. Has plenty of stores open and options available still, definitely worth a visit. Certainly not quite as big as bigger-city mega malls but holds its own charm and nuances nevertheless.
A lot of the stores are gone that I used to go see when I was a child and this place appeared to be thriving. It now consists of Olga's, Spencer's, Gamestop and other stores you would find at other Simon malls. Heads up- there is no food court.
Love all the shops and in a great location
Unfortunately like most malls it is so dead here. Jcpenney is the largest store and there is maybe 6 or 7 other open stores...I always find great deals tho
Not reviving quickly enough. Not many places to choose from. But do have a few great businesses left. Doesn't have a big draw. The Library there is fantastic.
I like the mall it's a great place to shop
Not as many business as before.
A beautiful mall, getting undated..
It's quaint comfort shopping, made such a center for and by multiple generations of the people who were previously raised here and currently reside here..... What home doesn't enjoy it's purpose benefitting in such a way?
No food court? Then it's not a real mall
Ross and JC Penney are good. Love Bath and Body Works
It's getting better. Currently go for poputopia. Love that place!
This mall us almost empty. JC Penny was nice though.
Olga's restuarant and the cookie factory are the only thing left upstairs but Olga's is still the best
The alton mall is making a strong comeback. They have done extensive renovations that definitely help. I feel like its just missing a driving force like a movie theater to drive some much needed foot traffic in and out the mall itself.
Lots of murals over closed storefronts
The mall is dead. Only about half of the building is even occupied!
Used to be full of life they had a play ground for the kids they an arcade food courts now it looks like an abandoned building with barely any stores or restaurants
Nice mall
Very nice the upstairs is for mall walkers great wall history an art of Alton area Mall needs more shoppers, very nice stores
Its there
Sorry to say, this mall is going downhill. Sears closed a couple of years ago. Macy's was demolished this winter. The food court is closed. On two places left to eat. All of the bookstores have closed. That leaves only J.C. Penney and Ross as major clothing stores to visit.
Quiet,not busy
I usually go to JC Penny's, library, and ROSS. JCP has awesome prices on certain jewelry. The library offers printer, fax machine, scanning, public computer, and notarized employees so that is all ver convenient. ROSS has very nice, name brand clothes for GREAT prices.
Well, where to start... I remember when this mall had life and a food court! It's got none of that anymore. They do have a JC Penney, GameStop, Bath and Body Works, and a Ross. That is about the best they got. I really miss the Kirlin's Hallmark they used to have. They have a new Jan's Hallmark now, but they don't even half open the gates to the store and it looks unwelcoming in my opinion. Honestly, if you want to shop at a decent mall for a long period of time go to Fairview Heights or to one of the malls on the Missouri side of the river.
Really need a few more store it used to be booming now it's practically empty
Good little mall only a few stores would definitely like more stores to be added has a Spencer's a cookie factory plenty of retail clothing stores
Though the mall is not the same and over half the stores are gone. The memories will always be there. Olgas is the best place to eat food is great and service is the best.
There are not a lot of stors but I like the JCP there
Very sad mall. Not many stores.
Slackers is awesome.
New carpet looks great
For some reason people have stopped going there if you see this go there more
I saw a deer in here and a couple possums a great place to really get back in touch with nature. Ross is pretty nice.
Is it really a mall?
More or less 3 squares put together to make a mall, but not a square.
Good place to go walk around
Visited just for shoes. Was happy that there were 2 shoe stores next to one another. It made making selections easier.
Prices are too high
Excellent customer service st JC Penny
Nice clean, but is almost empty of shops
Kinda disappointed. It seems big but not many stores, however I did like there was a library inside. That's unique I give it a strong 3 stars bt not quite a 4
I work in the mall. It really needs to have some new business brought here. If more stores would open up then I think it would keep people shopping locally rather than driving to Fairview or across the river.
I like their sales
Miss some stores that use to be there
Good Bath and Body Works store, recently recarpeted, big public library, needs more food options
The best staff!! Friendly and helpful!!
Beautiful mall. Needs more stores.
Barely any stores left. Dead
Really disappointed in Alton square Mall. They spend $$ millions $$ tearing down the old Famous & Barr telling us that a movie theatre is coming...... Nothing.... They have no food court after a 2 year of failed rent talks Sears left. This used to be a great place.
The staff was helpful and pleasant.
Small mall with a post office, JC Penney's and few other stores.
Not many shops there worth going to, but I did enjoy all the old photos on the walls.
It's not the same mall hardly any stores to shop in
They are making it better but it needs more stores on the top level
Clean but empty. Almost no stores anymore. Good place to walk.
I live our alton maul
Great place to walk and meet people
This po little Mall is just almost invisible I mean what are they going to do they taking out the Christian bookstore they taken out all kind of places they just keep closing going away there won't be anything here pretty soon the ladies that I go with like to go and have lunch on the second floor at that cafe type place I don't think it's all that I don't give them my money I'll go to the Hallmark card store and buy candy I know I don't need candy but I buy it anyway
Love it. Went to JCPenney. Was able to get what I wanted and needed.
Kinda empty but it is open for more stores
It would have been nicer to be able to purchase single tickets, to use for the rides.
Found some good stuff here.
Surprised anything is still there.
Pretty much is a Ghost Town anymore
Nice mall
They need to get more retailers and restaurants in the building. Seems dead.
Without a doubt the most safe, secure place I've ever been to. If it wasn't for the 80 year old Whelan security guard walking around with his keychain on his hip rather than a gun I would not have put my life on the line by walking into this mall. Beautiful scenery and lots of interesting random facts on the walls instead of stores. It's kind of hard to rob a mall with no stores so I think that's partly why I felt so safe. Olgas's Kitchen was scrumptious as usual! If you're looking to go to a safe mall with little to no stores but you want to feel really safe come here!!!
It's really sad that this mall is dying off. Very few stores are left and not a lot to entice you to go shopping here. J.CPenney's is about the only reason I even go through the doors. They also have a bogus store which she's pretty busy.
Olgas is the best place to eat lunch.
Saved money
Mall is declining quickly. There were maybe 20 shoppers in the entire mall. Online shopping is taking its toll. Maycies left no reason to shop there now
Alton square Mall always put something in there that keeps me coming back so I hope that they can kept adding stores that are just as good or better as the one that they have now, at this point it fits all my needs.....Soon as you believe the mall is abandoned they add places like Ross. Alton square Mall is a shopping center that keeps you coming back. Citi trends and TJ Maxx would also be a great addition just my thought Ross cannot keep up with the community alone... And nice discount stores are always great.
Good not that crowded
Found what I wanted. I love Penny's !
Alton Square Mall best best in the Town They Great Staffs Best to Go places
We like J C Penny's
It was good until gamestop left But theres plenty other things.
Empty small mall
Went to Ross and just love their prices and selection
Slowly losing its tenants but those that it does have are well known stores.
It's sad how many stores have closed there. But we enjoy Olgas and the cookie factory.
Excellent, the people were curious and helpful
Little Nice Mall
I only shopped at Penneys. The store is getting better and better, no matter who or what size clothes you are looking for . They are also selling appliances now. Great!
Not much here anymore
Getting better!
Great place for a concert !
Nice place to shop.
Love JC Penney
Lots of variety of merchandise.
Nothing here.
Mall is growing steadily. With the hopes for a new movie theater here..this spot will only get better.
A few stores, trying to make it nicer.
Awesome. Cant wait for more stores
Did a smart thing doing demo on vacant Macy's building.
I do love the library at the Mall but its been awhile since I have been there!!
The mall is kind of dwindling. It is not busy like it was 30 years ago.
Very few stores left the ones that remain are very clean restrooms are terrible except for the ones in the stores deserted
Great if you know what you want you're going to find there. The minimal number of stores is extremely disappointing. I like Ross, and the game store.
Not many stores but thankful for the ROSS and shoe stores. I also like that the library uses space here.
Poor place is rundown...needs more shops..Used 6 be a nice. Safe place shop..
Still love shopping here! Glad to see we still have a Bath n Body works!
They really should get some stores in here. I been disappointed that the family Christian store closed also. Out just needs more life in there.
Friendly staff! Found awesome pillow!
Nice shops & Library & CS Reading Room
I’m quite impressed how the mall is attempting to re-develop. The new lighting and colorful spring banners seem to breathe life into its previously dingy and sparse atmosphere. They’ve recently added a new Slackers and the new location for Poputopia and there seems to be some rumblings of more additions. I’m excited to see what is next for the mall!
Not much left for shopping but what is here is good. Nice parking and easy to get in and out.
Still love the mall
We go here to get are jeans are the Xmas we need to get our are sheets
I just went in Penney's and they were nice. Didn't have time to shop the mall.
It's more or less a dead mall. Quiet place to walk around. A couple good stores. Mostly come here for Olga's which has really good food.
Ross, love the store and the savings
Love Olga's restaurant. Glad it's still very busy at the nearly deserted mall.
We love it here. Great for a nice walk when it's raining. Plus, Hayner Public Library rocks and Ross is right there. My quick go to destination when my son and I are bored.
Great place to shop
Not much left in the Mall. But the Cookie Factory is AWESOME. Best Cookies Around
It's a ok place
There has been a make over at the mall. It is smaller but clean and bright. They did a good job on it.
Almost closed, used to be a great place to shop
It looks like a post-apocalyptic wasteland inside. Everything is gone from the original setup except the finish line and Spencer's. My fiancee went into Ross and by the time I got back from the finish line she'd been abducted by a gang of leather clad marauders wanting to trade her back for gasoline and an old map of Famous Barr.
I am really beginning to like Alton Mall, I've gone very few times in the past, but I go a lot more now and when I walk around the second floor it's so relaxing and nice, I truly hope that the businesses grow and the mall really starts to take roots and grow.
This used to be a happening place in the 80's. Was really disappointed to see that this mall has become a ghost town. All the stores upstairs are gone! All that's left is Olga's and the Cookie store. There was hardly anyone there. It was just really sad to see.
I still love this mall! Please support it by shopping here as much as possible!
The parking lot is horrible, pot holes everywhere. Inside the mall is very nice and clean
Would be a lot better with more anchor stores.
So glad there is a JCPenny & Olga's.
I would like to say..The mall has put carpet on their floors. Very soft. If only they could put in a coffee cafe and something to draw in the teenage crowd. Need something to get the kids occupied. Boredom is what causes kids to do alot of things they do. The mall is a great opportunity to draw them in. I'd have a few great ideas but it seems nobody wants to truly invest. Nice carpet though.
Easy to find something sparkly.
There's nothing there anymore.
The mall used to be the hang out spot. Fun, lots of shopping, now it's a little bare. I wish they would have spent the money they used to redecorate the walls on something more productive like getting new businesses in the mall. I now the walls look nice but there's no one there to see them. Needs more food options. Olga's and the cookie factory are great, the Chinese place must have seen the decline and got out of there. Their library is really nice. I did some Christmas shopping there and the Bath&Body was absolutely packed I was kind of surprised by that. I think they should offer a break for small businesses to come in there and set up shop . They've had plans for a movie theater for 10 years so hopefully they are actually getting to it. Good luck to an old Alton treasure.
Most of this mall is closed down, although you can't fault the stores that remain. It does have several good stores and it is always clean.
Or video place moved thier bigger more selection nice
