There are two reasons why we call Ala Moana, "Hawaii's Center." 1.) It's hands-down the best and most beautiful mall you'll ever come across, and 2.) because, dagnabbit, the commercials tell us to. Multiple stories, newly renovated with every conceivable store you can imagine, create an expansive and open-ended experience. Unlike other large malls, you won't be overburdened by an enclosed echo, but rather be surrounded by lots of natural beauty from koi to greenery.

When I visit Oahu I love going to the Ala Moana shopping center. The food court has good selection of places to eat. I just like walking around the place with no specific direction, just cruising so to speak. Favorite store...Disney.

Very nice mall. All the restaurants are on the upper level which makes them easy to find. Gen Korean BBQ house was wonderful. Our group of 10 was seated right away. All the entrees were very good.

This is a nice out-door mall. It has normal mall stores along with high-end stores. There are lots of parking spaces, and the mall is located across the street from a beach.

Well know as the largest mall in the world many years ago. If you want just about anything, you'll find it. Restaurants, Condo's, Foodland farms grocery store has 16 item salad buffet,16 item hot food buffet (all day- until 10 PM ). Has an R. Fields wine bar. Burgers, Artesian pizzas, Musubi. Nordstrom, Macy's just for starters. Many, many boutique shops. If lucky, local Hawaiian entertainment. CALABASH

Some areas don't flow very well considering the amount of pedestrian crossing areas there are and odd engineering decisions here and there. Other then that the actual mall does look nice and a nice place to gather and walk around.

One of the best high end malls in America. Out of all my world travels, no place like Ala Moana. Best Nordstrom, best Tiffany (the forums in Vegas is just as good just smaller) best Prada by far. New Fendi, New Dior. Ben Bridge is my watch stop. Great mall.

If you like shopping, this is the place for you! It's MASSIVE and the shops are plentiful. There's something for any die-hard shopper to find. High end stores like Macy's and Neiman Marcus are found on the same property as Target and a nearby Walmart ! The food court had a huge selection of cuisines to choose from and it's centrally located. And if you get tired of shopping Ala Moana Beach Park is just a short walk away.

Probably 1 of the only shopping center I really don't like going to. I feel alot of the items are overpriced because of the location. It's always crowded and being a outside open mall it is very unpleasant when the weather is hot. If you must go this center recommend going in the morning or later in the night time. Has a great food court with many delicious options. The restaurant on the top floor is another reason to get out and go to this center but pick you time frame carefully

Very huge shopping mall in Honolulu, lots of shops and shops are located in different segment. If you want to look for luxury goods in one place, not recommended as shops are located in different locations. If you go for window shopping, I think it is a nice place to go.

Ala Moana Center is just in the down town of Hawaii. It is the biggest mall with lots of car parking, many shops, restaurant and food court. The food court is very spacious with so many cuisine options. The place is absolutely clean. Even the buses for PINK/PURPLE/BLUE LINE have their parkings here. Shops from high range to normal are located here. Definitely a place to visit

Been awhile since we have shopped here. The tenant mix has changed drastically. So many high end shops where the typical local shopping experience doesn't exist. Granted there may be many affluent shoppers who seek one of a kind high quality merchandise, but for the local blue collar worker, this isn't where I would patronize on a frequent basis.

Better now that the disruptions caused by the remodel are behind us. - The locations of escalators allowing movement between levels are not obvious and take some searching out. - Store placement like the Disney store across from Victoria's Secrets makes you wonder. - Maps could be clearer and better located. With the main central walkway between what amounts to 2 long buildings that have shops with entrances either along the central walkway OR the outside of the buildings adjoining the parking lots and with the multi levels it can all combine to make it difficult to find entrance to the store you are looking for. The Example: I was looking for the Spectrum store and their maps indicated it was near the North end of the mall but didn't make it clear you could only get to it from the back parking lot side nor which floor it was on.

Very memorable also very unique. I almost was robbed here... Watch your back especially at night. Pickpockets (not the rookies) are rampant. They couldnt get me because I stayed with my group so be aware.... I will return regardless.

Check out the Japan Village Walk food court. Great mall with lots of shops. The interior of the mall is very classy, but the street level (parking garage level) is pretty rough around the edges.

I didn't recognize the shopping center and had a hard time finding the store I want DC a lot of mainland and Japanese stores now! Crowded in the parking g lot but the Food Court is great! That's the reason for us going there, lots of variety and the foods great!

Great place to shop from high end stores to local stores. Nordstrom and William Sonoma among my family's favorite. The food court offers a variety of cuisines for all ages. Sufficient games shops to keep my 10 years old twin grandchildren occupied while the rest of the family shop.

An amazing beachfront park right in the center of town! Beachfront park for swimming or just relaxing on the grass. Get out of the sun underneath a variety of tree species from all over the world. The spot is easily accessible from the Ala Moana Center, the Bus and it has plenty of parking. Picturesque spot. We caught several wedding parties shooting photos.

Great selection of shopping. Mall is massive so be sure to not get lost. Getting there is simple and quick, lots of vehicle entrances for cars. More parking than I've ever seen in one place. Many bus routes also go directly to Ala Moana as well. Be sure to check out a few of the small local shops.

Beautiful and HUGE shopping center. Best food court here as well! Bars and bowling. This place has everything. High end stores here, usually packed. But it’s huge so it doesn’t feel like it. Parking is easy, also easy to get turned around. Def a must visit place.

Use to go to Shirokiya here for great prepared foods, but now that their location changed it's not very good. They might have more vendors, but the prices have gone way up and the quality is not so great. They have lost their appeal. Ala Moana Center is geared more towards the tourists. Many high end stores. Losing a lot of local favorite stores.

We walked from our hotel to the Ala Moana Shopping Center. We stayed at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach Resort. We walked past the Hilton Hawaiian Village and Ala Moana Beach Park. Safe area to walk many other people are doing the same. It was a bit tricky at first to find the entrance to the Shopping Center. We ended up walking through the car garage. The shopping Center itself is huge and on multiple levels. It does have a nice kid’s play area outdoors with lots of benches around. Very good food court as well. We ate at Ala Moana Poi Bowl. It was pretty good food keeping in mind that this is a shopping center and not a 4 star restaurant.

In terms of the appearance of the mall, this is a very nice environment for shopping. The entire mall is kept clean, including the bathrooms. The open-air design brings fresh air to the mall, and the food courts offer lots of choices. Having said that, this mall has become very difficult for an average person to buy anything. I understand Ala Moana is very close to Waikiki, which is the center of the Hawaii tourism industry. The owner(s) of the mall would want to introduce many big-named companies. But when 90% of the mall is high-end stores, I can only reduce my shopping experience to window shopping. Gone are the days that the locals here can hang out at the mall. The environment is nice, but the shopping experience is unnecessarily limited.

The Ala Moana Center is a spacious mall containing three levels varying from high-end shops to the basic ones. The mall itself is open, therefore a visit in the summer guarantees a sunny experience. There are two food courts in the Ala Moana and both offer delicious options. I enjoy walking around at night when the torches are lit and the stores light up the dark. I recommend this mall for tourists from all around.

Largest mall in the state is also one of the best. Both tourists and locals have something to do at Ala Moana. Since the mall built the new wing there are now enough parking stalls for everyone since you can always drive up the higher floors of the new parking structure. The mall does get especially crowded during weekends and holidays so plan around the large crowds.

Never going to the Customer Service center at Ala Moana Center ever again. First, they decided to help the customer who was behind me in line - before me, although I was in front of her in line and had waited longer. There was no apology and no one corrected the situation. Second, I could not buy a gift card with cash. That's right, they DIDN'T TAKE CASH. Third, the gift card minimum is $30. Fourth, the gift card has an activation (?*$#@!) fee of $3. My only regret was that I should have decided not to get a gift card at all, after getting such condescending customer service. The employee just kept on talking with a fake smile plastered across his face, offering excuses. The other employee saw me and knew that I had been waiting in line before the other customer, but all I heard was an excuse about not having stanchions put up. Honestly, if you just acknowledge the situation, apologize to the customer who was slighted, that's really all that is needed to rectify the problem. Don't just push the customer off with excuses scantily veiled as explanations. I'm never going back.

Quite big and good shopping centre. The gift centre near the entrance to food court from parking side is very good. The food has lot of options. Try Poi Bowl. If you are vegetarian try the Mexican restaurant.

Wide Variety of Shops for everyone with ranging prices and items; great place to go with friends or family for shopping, or some fun as there are also gaming areas within the mall, and food throughout, along with a food court that contains many different options which are fairly cheap. Another plus is the centerstage that often has performances from groups around the island, or special ones off island.

This is beautiful mall because it's a shopping center that is all open air. It's hard to see it at first but they have built it around many natural trees and other greenery so it can make for a very nice walk. I didn't really shop there but what I didnt see what a mall type food court. The food/ restaurants available were very specialized so it's not a place you can go to get a cheap food court meal. The shopping is also very high end so for me, it was more about taking the architecture and people watching.

The outdoor mall feels great and is a great place to get shopping done. The food courts offer such a wide variety of foods that you could be eating new meals for years. On Fridays, because the mall is in front of the park, you can relax there until the 8:00 fireworks. Highly recommend coming here at least once if you're visiting.

We love the overall ambience of the shopping centre! It's so close from our accommodation that we walked in and walked out easily. The shopping and eating experience was phenomenal! The Honolulu Coffee Shop have the best Hawaiian coffees and customer service is wonderful! The Bubble Gump rest at the top of the shopping centre made our retail therapy even better with their meals options and great service! We strongly recommend you to visit this beautiful shopping centre ✌️

This is a very nice mall, several levels with great shops and plenty of food options from quick dining to sit down restaurants. It’s easy to get lost when leaving though. We left out of a different door than we entered and ended up being way on the other side. Had to use GPS to figure out how to get back to the shuttle area.

It's said to be the world's biggest open air shopping mall. It IS huge. If you take time to look around stuff you will need few days for this mall. This mall has lots of stores including Hawaiian dresses.

Check out the Japan Village Walk food court. Great mall with lots of shops. The interior of the mall is very classy, but the street level (parking garage level) is pretty rough around the edges.

Beautiful and HUGE shopping center. Best food court here as well! Bars and bowling. This place has everything. High end stores here, usually packed. But it’s huge so it doesn’t feel like it. Parking is easy, also easy to get turned around. Def a must visit place.

This is beautiful mall because it's a shopping center that is all open air. It's hard to see it at first but they have built it around many natural trees and other greenery so it can make for a very nice walk. I didn't really shop there but what I didnt see what a mall type food court. The food/ restaurants available were very specialized so it's not a place you can go to get a cheap food court meal. The shopping is also very high end so for me, it was more about taking the architecture and people watching.

Very nice mall. Very high end shopping. A lot of stores had a door concierge to enter and exit. The food court has a lot of variations to select from. Plan to spend 2 hrs just to cover the entire mall. If you drive pay attention to where and what lot level you leave your car

Wide variety of shops from designer brands to small kiosks. Parking is an adventure at times and for the amount of mall visitors that own electric cars that frequent this mall, you should increase the number of EV stalls, only 4 is ridiculous. EV owners don't mind walking, so even if that means putting them on the roof top of the parking garages that would be an added value to shoppers.

Great selection of shopping. Mall is massive so be sure to not get lost. Getting there is simple and quick, lots of vehicle entrances for cars. More parking than I've ever seen in one place. Many bus routes also go directly to Ala Moana as well. Be sure to check out a few of the small local shops.

Use to go to Shirokiya here for great prepared foods, but now that their location changed it's not very good. We walked from our hotel to the Ala Moana Shopping Center. We stayed at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach Resort. We walked past the Hilton Hawaiian Village and Ala Moana Beach Park. Safe area to walk many other people are doing the same. It was a bit tricky at first to find the entrance to the Shopping Center. We ended up walking through the car garage. The shopping Center itself is huge and on multiple levels. It does have a nice kid’s play area outdoors with lots of benches around. Very good food court as well. We ate at Ala Moana Poi Bowl. It was pretty good food keeping in mind that this is a shopping center and not a 4 star restaurant.

There is an abundance of eating places to satisfy your taste. We enjoyed a birthday dinner at Mariposa in Neiman Markus. The food, drinks, and deserts were delicious. The atmosphere and service was very good. The sunset and beach/ocean view is stunning. On Friday night you get a bonus fireworks show from the Hilton to boot. Shopping is a great way to walk off the calories after a big meal even if it's just window shopping. Lots of high end stores.

The outdoor mall feels great and is a great place to get shopping done. The food courts offer such a wide variety of foods that you could be eating new meals for years. On Fridays, because the mall is in front of the park, you can relax there until the 8:00 fireworks. Highly recommend coming here at least once if you're visiting.

This is a very nice mall, several levels with great shops and plenty of food options from quick dining to sit down restaurants. It’s easy to get lost when leaving though. We left out of a different door than we entered and ended up being way on the other side. Had to use GPS to figure out how to get back to the shuttle area.

Never going to the Customer Service center at Ala Moana Center ever again. First, they decided to help the customer who was behind me in line - before me, although I was in front of her in line and had waited longer. There was no apology and no one corrected the situation. Second, I could not buy a gift card with cash. That's right, they DIDN'T TAKE CASH. Third, the gift card minimum is $30. Fourth, the gift card has an activation (?*$#@!) fee of $3. My only regret was that I should have decided not to get a gift card at all, after getting such condescending customer service. The employee just kept on talking with a fake smile plastered across his face, offering excuses. The other employee saw me and knew that I had been waiting in line before the other customer, but all I heard was an excuse about not having stanchions put up. Honestly, if you just acknowledge the situation, apologize to the customer who was slighted, that's really all that is needed to rectify the problem. Don't just push the customer off with excuses scantily veiled as explanations. I'm never going back.

Largest mall in the state is also one of the best. Both tourists and locals have something to do at Ala Moana. Since the mall built the new wing there are now enough parking stalls for everyone since you can always drive up the higher floors of the new parking structure. The mall does get especially crowded during weekends and holidays so plan around the large crowds.

This is one of the biggest malls that I have ever been to. Anything you want to do is here. They have daily dancers in the mall center at 1pm. They have countless restaurants, coffee shops, and of course stores! The have a huge Old Navy and they always have deals. Their map directory is very easy to follow and the overall layout of the mall is simple enough to get around without one. Parking is not a hassle here and it doesn't cost anything. During the week it doesn't get too crowded, but I don't know about the weekend.

Interesting spot to play, "Homeless of Hipster" try and discover the difference of the two whilst they intermingle among tourist of the world! Are they Hipster? Who knows!? The dreadlocks and tattered clothing can 'go either way'! Were those holes made from over usage, or paid 'extra' for at one of the amazing high-end shops within? NO ONE KNOWS! Is that smell of patchouli or petulance? The fun in the game never ends! Panhandling or Crowdfunding? YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS ANY'S!

The Ala Moana Center is a spacious mall containing three levels varying from high-end shops to the basic ones. The mall itself is open, therefore a visit in the summer guarantees a sunny experience. There are two food courts in the Ala Moana and both offer delicious options. I enjoy walking around at night when the torches are lit and the stores light up the dark. I recommend this mall for tourists from all around.

We love the overall ambience of the shopping centre! It's so close from our accommodation that we walked in and walked out easily. The shopping and eating experience was phenomenal! The Honolulu Coffee Shop have the best Hawaiian coffees and customer service is wonderful! The Bubble Gump rest at the top of the shopping centre made our retail therapy even better with their meals options and great service! We strongly recommend you to visit this beautiful shopping centre ✌️

Out minds felt overwhelmed after trying to see all that the Ala Moana Mall had to offer. It is way bigger than we imagined. I thought they had a nice selection of stores. We had a great lunch at the Food Court. We liked the upper shopping levels best with the open air atrium. The fourth level had interesting restaurants and some interesting views. We noted a unique play area for kids. And parking was easy as well as free.
