This mall is dead and just hasn't realized it yet. Went walking through it the other day and it felt nearly abandoned. So many closed up shops. It's sad to look at. Decent food though.

it's like a mall but less shops. nice bargain in shoe dept. Yea there's vacant shops and maybe busineses closed down but that only means less people. if you like a nice quiet mall this is the place to go to. i liked the mall for it being a nice quiet mall this is not the place to go if you want a full mall experience. Only went there because i had to go into jc penny to pick up a order. When i first walked into the mall there was a guy playing a jazz instrument. & The first thing you see is jewelry shop & phone shop!

If I was a zombie or post-apocalyptic movie producer, this mall would be a 5 star movie set, second only to North DeKalb. Tons of shut down businesses, almost no customers, lights partially out, and all around eerie feel.

I just want to know where all the stores went, and how is this “Mall” remaining open. The only decent stores left are Macy’s, JC Penney, Victoria’s Secret and Bath and Body Works. If you are looking for a prom dress or evening gown there are 10 stores to serve you that sell the same stuff. This place is holding on by a thread. It kinda feels like a step above a flea market.

You can about all of your major shops you would expect to see in the mall and even several high-end choices if you are Mr/Mrs Moneybags unlike most of us. Still. Great experience. Doing awesome out there guys. The mall was kept clean and very maintained last time I was there.

A very nice mall from outward appearances. There has been trouble fairly recently and hopefully they are making efforts to make the mall a little safer. In general it is very clean and well organized mall with a lot of shops.

Not a fan of the new kids area. It was an indoor park for a lot of moms & caregivers giving the option to purchase & play but the play area now was not set up with toddlers & small kids in mind to enjoy & be enthused to return. Definitely a business lost for the mall.

A nice big 'ole shopping mall, with what looks like a horse paddock in the front as you are driving to the parking lot. Clean with a big food court and high ceilings. There is a big pavillion up front, and I snagged a sweet parking space in a mini-lot right off the fire lane road.

The shops are all unique, you have multiple name brand stores, as well as an amazing dress store for prom dresses and wedding dresses, they even have dresses for bridesmaids and they have alterations and custom things for dresses as well

It's sad to see how dead this mall is...more than half the storefronts are already empty with more on the way (stores with close-out sales), escalators out of order, fountains not even running, and there's only like 3 places to eat in the food court (an American Deli, burger place, and a Tokyo Express). It's nice to walk around in for a workout or if you want some peace and quiet though since there's not a lot of people.

The owner lied to me about his exchange policy and I had to get the same style of outfit in another size because he said his policy is exchange for the same thing and a couple days before we discussed if I change the outfit I can find something else and it would not matter the style of outfj

Was there to distribute FREE books to neighborhood students. Where the activity itself was successful and the courtesness of the mall staff, unfortunately, we had an issue with the hired security on duty. To ensure that each child got a book, one of the members went upstairs to greet families entering through the upstairs level. Security told her that she wasn't allowed to be upstairs. It wasn't as if she was soliciting book "Sales", but only offering children to receive a free book.

Once a place to shop and dine has definately lost a lot of luster. Maybe its retail tenant mix from demographic changes has not find it's way to landlord. At the same time I cannot understand they are surrounded by mid to high end apartments and yet Kohl, Sears and 1/5 of retailers are gone. Come on guys make some deals fill some spaces. But if you are in the area the burger joint in the food court area is very good.

You can tell this was a great mall back in the day, but has gone downhill. The decor of the mall itself was nice, but it was dark and lacked many stores. Of the stores that were in business there several were closed for business eventhough it was early evening (6pm or so) on a weekday. Not many recognizable national stores either. Didnt check out the food court, but it appeared limited based on signage.

I love shopping here, butthese customers are constantly stealing from the store going to the shoe place trying on shoes and wearing them out the store if I'm a customer and seeing this what is the security doing what is corporate doing the lady security guard act like she works at the store and doesn't even patrol the store stays in one section the managers don't have a clue what they do when they probably don't either I would like this to come up and exceed the standards of the Macy's brand it has ginormous potential but it's lacking guidance

I left a somewhat unfavorable review several years ago and just noticed it again. The complaints I had... Slow concessions and lines etc has been resolved. Or resolved enough to make me not feel as disappointed when I visit They have also remodeled some of the screens to have leather reclining chairs and reserved seating. It goes from a 2 star to a 4 star for me

I have lived in the North Lake area for only a month now. I moved here from Columbia S.C and our malls fail in comparison to Northlake Mall. They have every store I have wanted to shop in for years because the mall where I used to live had shut down many of thier stores. Many great stores in this mall and so far loving the area too. The only thing that saddens me so far is all of the racist disgusting reviews I have witnessed on here! I don’t know what happened in the past there, but I feel safe at this mall as any of the others I have been to.

The Northlake Mall, has changed alot since opening some years ago. With that being said, the changes might have been needed for some stores in order to keep up with the ever changing demographics of which the community the mall serves. The flip side to change is that these changes might not suite the entirety of the public. The mall was clean and the stores seemed to all be organized, the security staff and police were easily recognized as being present. This is all I can ask for in a diverse mall. There were no feelings of pressure from anyone shopping or loitering. I am sure that I will be returning to the mall at some point and that will be okay with me.

If you visit this mall, make sure you don't go to Claire's because an employee might ask to check your bags when you've just walked into the store. Even if you're not holding a Claire's bag. She'll call security on you and your friend and provide absolutely no explanation as to why she wants to see your bags. :)

As far as retailer establishments go, there are quite a few top names. Parking is a snap and the layout of the facility is what you might expect. The food court is fair and there are at least a half dozen or so options, that would not even include Firebirds. I would have to say the biggest opportunity is the facilty itself. It feels dated and is in need of a facelift. Skylights and more light overall on the interior would 100% make a difference. There was not many people there on this Wednesday at all and as I am told by many merchants, weekdays are always light and there are some spikes on weekends, but still not as much as they would like to see.

I love this mall. It's big, open, brightly lit and there's tons of stores to choose from. I love that there's a little watch repair place on the ground level (Jewelry and Watch Experts) where I've been getting my batteries and watch bands for years. Wow, this place is on it's last legs. We went here mostly out of a morbid desire to survey the desolation of this dying mall. And believe me, it did not disappoint. It's a large mall with ever clothing stores the only benefit to it is its yearly Carnival right now from March 14th through the 24th they're having a huge Carnival festival 20 tickets 20 bucks 2019 other than that it's a huge boring mall with a African shop a number of food courts downstairs a few local vendors selling shirts (much are foreign) a decent bathroom a rackety elevator with graffiti written on the mirrors and piss on the ground! Can't wait until the small goes the way of Best Buy and shut down

Went to Showmars in the food court and it was amazing. For a fast food place, my service was excellent. My meal was prepared fresh to order and didnt take long. The fish was wild caught and hand breaded just right. Only had to add a little salt and hot sauce for my taste. Typical crinkle cut fries but they complimented the dish well. Being that I dont like mayonnaise I was especially happy to be able to sub the Cole slaw for a fresh fruit cup! Not to mention they have all types of BBQ dishes. If you're in the Northlake area I would definitely stop in.

Very easy to enter the property, clearly marked, little bit harder to leave the property due to congestion. Great selection of stores, doesn't suffer from problems that other malls have with having empty spaces or a bunch of cheap stores close to each other. The mall has always been clean when I've gone through and always see security or some type of police there for a presence.

The entire complex to the Northlake Mall is a rather cool looking area. This is a great mall that serves people in the northern area of Charlotte, NC. You will most likely find what you are trying to look for if you go to the Northlake Mall.

Like all malls, Northlake is another victim of online shopping. Most of the stores in the mall have closed, most recently Victoria's Secret and Mens Warehouse. Macy's and Penny's are the lone surviving anchor stores. But I love shopping at malls and I'll keep throwing my money at this one to do my part in helping to keep it viable.

I was charged 9% sales tax for a pair of earrings I purchased at a kiosk called CHARMS OF GOLD. I have since found out that is against the law being that GA law states sales tax in that jurisdiction is 8%. After I found out about the law. Dropped by the other day for one item at JCPenney. I was impressed! I didn't expect this to be nearly such a nice mall. It felt very fancy and we found exactly what we needed. Seemed well-kept. Plenty of parking, lots of space inside. Loved the water features! The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because I don't feel like I saw enough of the mall or spent long enough there to really know the full quality. I'll likely update after further visits.

This mall just like North Delkalb is dead the only stores here are JCP penny, Macys, Foot locker, Champs, journeys, Claire's. If none of those are appealing then this mall isnt for you. No there's no movie theater either. Oh and to fix your phone or tablet screens here is about $150 and more.

I visited a shop in the mall to make my t-shirts for a function. This is not the first time that I've done business with this gentleman. @icreate82..... He's amazing.... My shirts for the function are spectacular!!! He has the store right across from Diamond Bizarre.... Please note that he is not in the hallway but in an actual store. Jleunamme is the best and he's worth every penny!! Go check him out. One design is for the church. The other design is for my G-babies birthday..

It had the awesome reclining seats, so that was cool. We went to a 530pm, Sunday show. Seems like it would be a peak time. But the concession counter was woefully understaffed. And we had to buy our tickets from the automated machine out front because there was no kne mannkng the ticket booth.

The mall was pretty empty when I got there. I was visiting Charlotte and decided to walk around the mall while waiting for my flight. It was dinner time and it was almost empty except for some families and teenagers. The food court was nice and there was plenty of parking spots. Although when I was sitting in the food court, there was a roach on the seat, which kind of spoiled my appetite.

This mall always makes me a little nervous due to its past history of bad behavior incidents. Consequently, I park as close to the entrance of the store I want as possible and make quick work of coming and going - no leisurely shopping among the stores. A couple of my favorite stores have closed their sites in this mall. Most of us expected so much more from this mall when it opened. A word of caution: if you go, go mid day, skip busy holiday weekends and nights.

It's a mall much like other malls. Very nice inside but very little unique, just the same stores you would see in similar malls all across the country. There is plenty of parking and has several traffic lights at various entrances so it's easy to get in and out of.

First time to Northlake Mall. Nice clean mall with an amazing security force! I lost my phone and a good Samaritan turned it in. Security contacted my husband and made it convenient for us to pick it up. I don't have to tell you what a relief it was to hear that it was in safe hands!
