I can't stand this store! Macy's in the Black community will not accept personal checks for purchases. I have called customer service for the past 2 days and nobody wants to address this question. Customer service will not answer the phone. My mother tried to purchase 2 items and was told that she was not in the system. Since when do you have to be in the system to purchase an item via personal check. Answer the damn phone and address this matter. Why in the predominately Black community are we having this problem? I am curious of May's response.

Macy's usually has pretty good sales and a good selection of items. The Macy's at the Cape Cod Mall is very large, spread out over a couple of different locations within the mall. We were looking for Motherhood Maternity and had to ask the location within the Macy's because we couldn't find it. Turns out, the Motherhood Maternity section is a tiny corner of Macy's about 10 foot by 10 foot. They only had a couple of tops and bottoms - the selection was pretty dismal. If you need maternity clothes, go elsewhere. The store looks a little run down, and the bathrooms were not very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The store was a Hot MESS. I had really high hopes I would be able to find a coat there. It took me like 30 minutes to find where they were keeping the bulk of the coats because they were sprinkled around some places too. Yeah, everything was on sale, but it was impossible to find the brands that went with the sales, let alone the correct size, because it was all a huge mess. It was not worth it. I gave up and went to JCPenny where I found what I wanted immediately.

This Macy's is okay, it's just like every other one pretty much. Only difference is they do have a section dedicated to back stage which I like considering everything is usually cheaper cause they're trying to get rid of it. There weren't very many registers open around the store though, I had to pay at the perfume desk.

I forgot what the lady name was at the help desk for pick ups, exchange and returns. She was awesome. Not everyone has the customer service experience that she has. I always shop at Macy's. It's my go to for the latest trends. I could never find my size shoes however online shopping is just as great. Where I can find many of the items they do not carry in the store. Also take advantage of the discounts. They really come in handy.

Stopped by Macy's today and saw they were having a great sale on boots. This close to Christmas and you can guess the place was packed. I was so impressed with Larissa in the shoe department. She was friendly, moved quick, and had the best customer service around. She's an excellent employee. Overall I always have a good experience at this store.

Great customer service once one of the two employees from the shoe department appeared. In all fairness, the ladies were going a great job. Very good store with quality products. My wife and I shopped the jewelry and perfume departments. The staff were outstanding, very knowledgeable and patient (we took forever to decide what we wanted). The watch I wanted was not in stock, so they offered to get it transferred from another store with no obligation to buy it. They got it and honored the sale price even though the sale ended. Yes, I bought it. Total discount was nearly 50% compared to two local jewelry stores that had it in stock. No, they would not price match Macy's. The level of service was such that I would have bought the watch even if there was no discount.

The maternity section is rather limited. When they have deals they seem to be quite good, but anything not on special seems more expensive than average on comparable items. We were upset that applying for a Macy's card had them run an additional hard check on our credit that wasn't related to the card itself.

Macy's was understandably busy this Black Friday. However I found the items I was looking for and was able to take advantage of either Black Friday coupons or pre-sale event discounts. The sales clerks were very patient and accommodating a missed the shopping chaos yes. Kudos to Macy's!

The smell of mold permeated the store. It almost knocked us out when we walked in and we could still smell it on the second floor. We went for the sole purpose of purchasing a Tommy Bahama shirt for my husband, only to be told, (after finally finding a clerk) that they didn't carry them at the Greenwood store. That is our last visit for sure.

The man at the watch selection in the women's Macy's is a complete A**hole. I have never dealt with such a cold-blooded, pompous moron. So my recent visit was very good. I went Christmas shopping on an early Thursday morning here and it was very pleasant, no one was there crowding the place, they are very well stocked, they have the most beautiful Michael Khor & Calvin Cline coats at 50% off! (At that time last week) The only complaints I have is how hot it is the heat is on hell and our cashier was very slow. Also can they please get some carts. I know carts are tacky but Kohls department stores have a less tacky option of carts Macy's could benefit from them greatly. Credit card owners spend at Christmas time and it's not easy carrying everything and continue to shop as well.

Everything was fine until we went to check out and I asked the associate (Sharon) if she could try and scan my coupon. And she rudely told me “it’s not going to work” and then proceeded to say “but I will try” so I showed her my phone and she gave me an annoyed sigh and said “can you make it bigger so I can actually scan it” and her coworker said “just typed in the code but it’s not going to work”. I’m glad you think it’s not going to work ladies but all you had to do was say “sure! I’ll try”. After several atte.pts to solve the problem, the second discount was calculated. It still wasn't what it should have been. Macy's can be a bit complicated at times. Some departments have more assistance than others, The Jewelry section never seem to have anyone and if they did it was always only 2 staff. So, I was in the Jewelry section and it wasn't crowed. Just a couple who was waiting on their purchase. I am trying not to take it personal, but I hate when I visit and I stand around looking for assistance for 5-10 minutes and no one to help. I finally got the attention of a staff who I ask to help, she told me just a second, I waited for more than a few minutes only to see her eyed me and then walk to another side. What really hurts is that the item I was looking to purchase was in the glass case. So, after 10 minutes of waiting I left and went to a few other jewelry stores inside of the Mall to try and find the same item..I had no luck, so I had to go back. I then waited a few more minutes, I then saw this lady just finishing up with a customer, I quickly shout out "can you please help me over here". She came and it was less than 10 minutes I was out. My item was still in the case, I am happy I came back because my husband really liked the jewelry I got him.

Service at the perfume/cologne bar isn't always what you would expect it to be... They seemed to have been going under some construction the last time I was here as the display that holds my absolute favorite brand of Jean pants was missing altogether, no where to be found. I asked the employee if they were going out of business or something, that's how odd it was to me that a whole entire section was missing! The junior clothing section wasn't relocated it was just packed up and put away at the time... You'd think they'd rather sell the clothes than hold them in storage ... Unless they put everything on sale (which I e6ould have missed, darn it!) and just didn't do any backordering. That would make more sense. Hoping things have been sorted out a little.. until then, I can THANKFULLY find SOME Celebrity Pink jeans at Marshall's! :)

I bought a down Calvin Klein jacket here a week and a half ago. I decided to come back in and exchange the jacket for a different color - I had all the tags and receipt. I headed over to the customer service by the lingerie section. An older woman waited on me, with a look of disgust on her face. I told her I wanted to exchange it, and it was never worn. She asked me if I had worn it, I said no. She then proceeded to phone the manager and told the manager I had worn the jacket and I wanted to exchange it. The manager said no, only because she was told it was worn, which I understand. But I hadn't. When she got off the phone, I said " I never wore the jacket...its been sitting in my closet in the bag." She insisted I told her that I did, talking very loudly, very rudely. She then said it was of no use to it because it was worn, and I should have exchanged the jacket within a few days. I am 34 years old, and never in my life has this happened when I have the tags/receipt to an article of clothing that I've never worn. I could have taken it to a manager but I was short on time, and appalled at the way the older cashier was acting. Very rude. I spent alot of money on this jacket, I want to make sure it's the color I like. She was extremely rude, and unprofessional.

I have visited Macy's in Greenwood twice now. I was delighted with the choices and the merchandising of the choices displayed! On my most recent visit, I began by shopping in the Backstage area! They have a last chance version of any clothing, shoes, or housewares you may desire. There are also hair and beauty selections where I was able to shop through multiple styling tools and products. But beware... Some of the oils or conditioners may be outdated. Try asking at checkout if you may smell the item before you buy it. And remember in Backstage-no coupons!

DO NOT BUY A MATTRESS AT MACY'S -- THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!! My wife and I bought a very high end queen size Sterns and Foster Mattress Hotel Quality extremely firm which cost well over $4000. with what we believed to be a wonderful guarantee --or so we thought! We are thin people who have back problems so we decided the pay the extremely high price to get a great mattress---Just after TWO YEARS the mattress actually has two ruts where we both had slept (even though we flipped it around many times) and the firmness has broken down and is useless--JUST AFTER TWO YEARS! Macy sent a "mattress inspector" who failed to show up twice and after complaining to Macy.. Several calls later finally the "mattress inspector" arrived. Imagine if you will a beaten up car with New Jersey plates pulls up to your door and a 5 ft unshaven male, dressed in dirty sweat pants/shirt and smelling from cigarettes and sweat!! Saying he wants to inspect the mattress..after a few calls to check his identity (yes, your right he had no identification). When we checked his ID with the mattress inspection company this smelly person went to our bed room and took out a long red woolen piece of yarn tied two two heavy lead sinkers. He placed the yarn across our bed and said since the yarn being pulled down on both side by the sinkers the yarn was pulled into a straight line--the "inspector" said since the yarn did not reflect any ruts he was denying our claim! This yarn test was ridiculous ..when I contacted Macy about this idiotic test they said they will stick by the "inspectors" report!! AVOID MACY AT ALL COST!

Although smaller than other Macy's stores in various locations, this one has everything you need. The sales, promotions and special offers are wonderful. The employees are well versed, polite and most accommodating. Only once in my experience, did I meet a rude sales associate. I immediately went to the second floor office, where the store HR manager is located. I related the incident, was brought to that dept, identified the person and was offered apologies. Stuff happens, but I never treat anyone that way, and least of all will tolerate lack of respect... it was handled magnificently and I continued on my shopping quest. It's not Macy's Herald Square in NYC, but nevertheless, is a wonderful store.

As a frequent Macy’s shopper I have never felt compelled to write a review. It’s not s new hotspot, restaurant etc. however, I was blown away by the amazing service from Lisa, Isabella and Abduh (hope I spelt your name right!). They worked together like s fine operating machine and were more helpful and accommodating than any staff I have encountered in some time. They were quick and efficient, and offered excellent advice, having probed a bit for mire information allowing them to know what would meet my needs. I was not easy and they, during a busy time took their time to ensure I was taken care of. They knew I had an event and had switched up dress shoes etc (twice), what they didn’t know is that I am recovering from ACL and elbow injuries. I also want to shout out to another helpful associate upstairs who graciously helped me with my many dress returns and re-selection. Many thanks to all! I will be back for my holiday shopping!

Macy's had so much on clearance i couldn't believe all the items on sale! I bought $100 pair of Guess hightop sneakers lace up with a strap at the top that says Guess they are red and white lite grey and black on the bottom for $38 they are the most comfortable sneakers!! The staff was nice none of them were pushy to sell items. You could take your time and shop without being bothered. The fragrance employee was very knowledgeable of her fragrances! She belonged in that particular area!! I talked to her as if i knew her She didn't rush me and was happy to help and answer any questions i had!!

I love this store in cape cod, the store front just fits into the area. But dont be fooled, this is a full corporate macys! Upon entry the store was clean and the signage seemed complete. The sales on the items I was looking for were fantastic. I got a red sox shirt that I probably would have paid double for at the ball park. And the Greg norman shirts were 60% off. Associates were nice also.

Stairs and escalator to second floor both inoperable. No one at the cash register /customer service desk. Areas of the store just empty shelves. You can see bankruptcy on the horizon. If you like the feeling of being all alone in giant store you'll love it here! The staff are helpful but kind of rare, like looking for a Snow Owl. One gets the feeling that this Macy's is dying a slow death, and is just waiting to be used in a movie scene where the killer stalks an unwitting shopper in a semi-abandoned department store. Either close the store or hire more employees.

Portland Macy's shoe department could be friendlier. The manager is not helpful and her actions come off discriminatory. The dress department lost a sale due to a manager not wanting to give a better discount(then 10%) on a ripped prom dress that I'm sure never sold. Unfortunate. Terrible! I hadn't used my Macy's card in a long time, so the register would not accept my Macy's credit card. I was told I'd have to re-open it. Well, I tried; but even after giving them as much information as if I were applying for a mortgage, it still rejected me...even though I had always paid the entire charge with the first billing! I never owed a balance. So, I gave up and decided to use another credit card. The Hyannis store didn't have the item I wanted in my size, but it was available at another store. However, the register refused to send it to either my house or even to the Hyannis store for me! Perhaps because they had already refused to re-open my account. I have an EXCELLENT credit rating, but I left their store feeling like they treated me like riffraff. Guess it will be another long time before I grace their doors again.

Came here looking for an evening gown. They do not have much of a selection which is disappointing. The womens shoe dept is good. I'm happy that the shoes are not the same as other dept stores in the mall. They have a good selection of bras but not sizes. They need to order more strapless bras in various sizes. It would be nice if they offered sizing to ensure women are wearing the correct size.
