REVIEWS OF 16th Street Mall IN Colorado

Nicolle Moyer

Public transportation worth applauding. Near the train station. I personally love the random pianos and am thrilled with the musicians I’ve encountered. Shopping and restaurants within walking distance.

Nick Wong

Pretty neat idea of a pedestrian mall. Basically a long single straight block lined with stores, restaurants, and vendors on all sides. Name brand stores and local ones. Restaurants range from pubs to lunch spots or cafes. The middle of the block has a free shuttle running up and down the blocks which makes stops at every intersection. You'll often find tables and chairs and some small mini gardens also in the center of the blocks for you to rest at. Pretty nice area, some beggars roaming the area or laying around, but most kept to themselves. Also had quite a few cop patrols in cars and on motorcycles to keep the peace.

Lawrence Aleman

Really cool spot to visit in Denver....must see!

Matt Rummel

I used to enjoy going downtown to the 16th Street Mall but recently it has not been clean or enjoyable experience. I don't have a solution but do wish that it would get better because there are some fun stores along the mall.

hey soda cola

Mostly tourist trap spots along this iconic Denver outdoor mall. Free buses run up and down 16th. You can skateboard on the mall, rent-a-cops will holler at you if you do. Lots of buskers and homeless but relatively safe. There are some decent spots to visit if you research the area. Careful when crossing the street that you don't get plowed over by a bus.

Michael Y

Love the people there...so many personalities and very alive place. Gotta go to see... ranges of culture there.

Ken Gregory

I love working near the mall but the street people are getting to be too much.

Bubbles 329

Great place to take the family for a day out. Free bus rides up and down the street. Be sure to visit Giordano's Pizza...their pizza is Phenomenal.

Steve Angel

Sounds better than it is. They need some good patio parts and restaurants to get bustling on the strip.

13th floor haunted house

A good place to go and hang out and walk around with friends and family

Deshawn Gholston

People watch while keeping a close eye on your surroundings.

Dion Morgan

Great place for dining and shopping.

This trip is definitely better then the nicollet mall in Minneapolis. It has more stores and is bigger. It has free shuttle buses that run the whole stip as well. Just chill out with the electric scooters ppl.

Anisha Dongol

Cool outdoor mall with a lot of different stores and a fun stroll through downtown

Santos Lira

Things for everyone great place to go

Dave Probert

Fun place to go in downtown Denver. Cool shops and night life.

Lizavetta kaverina

I just love this street !! She is small but very comfortable. It is always fun here, many tourists, many beautiful places and shops and restaurants, a lot of music and illumination. There is a beautiful free bus and exotic transport in the form of a horse carriage. This street is like a little fairy tale !!

Jorge I Arroyo

I like being able to take the bus. There's a haberdashery near the movies which has a great Kangol selection. Be mindful of the homeless and other downtown Denver birds.

Edith Ortiz

Beautiful, nice ambient so many things to see to enjoy the day.

dan stepel

By far my less favorite place in Denver. I find almost nothing of interest on this street. It is populated with chain restaurants and not much of anything else. The only thing with any real soul are the homeless people wandering around. Turn onto some of the side streets for a more local taste of Denver.

Mark Davis

This is an outdoor mall with lots of restaurants. Mostly for restaurants. Good food and a nice walking area on a spring and summer evening

Paul O. Anthony

I love the free mall ride@

Tamara Lua

Great pedestrian mall. No cars are allowed on that street; alot of nice stores and restaurants and even a movie theater.

Karen Pearce

So much fun to walk around and people watch. Food choices for DAYS!

Ramya Ramya

Beutiful place to hang out. Nice free bus service to go around. Birds add up more fun in there. All shopping stores across the street

Ivory Tiger

I love all the shops and things to do there.

K. Wheeler

It has a good variety of shops, restaurants, and things to do, but it's way too crowded. Too many people have moved to Denver over the past few years!! I don't enjoy spending as much time there anymore compared to a few years ago.

Richard Swerbinsky

Center of the city. Free bus up & down 16th. Lots of shopping, restaurants. Lots of homeless.

Krissy Jay

16th street mall is beautiful! I enjoy the walks. Several restaurants and stores to go to are a plus! One issue that I had was the bathrooms. I had to have a code to enter the public restrooms. In order for me to have a code, I have to be a paying customer and buy something from a store or any other place by the Denver Pavillion. I understand there are safety issues and people should have a pleasant experience. But I am not interested in buying a product just so I can use the bathroom. I just want to enjoy and explore the mall without the hassle. Other than that this mall is wonderful!

Koralie Palmer

I love the 16th street mall! It's a great atmosphere to hang out in!

Mohamed Isa

I have unforgettable memories at the 16th Mall Street. I like to walk outdoor when the whether is pleasant. The street has all kinds of shops like stores, cafes, restaurants and bookstores. And when I am tired and haggard, I could always get a falafel Sandwitch!

Aziryse

Beautiful. Well kept. Secure with cops all over. Great weed shops. Free bus.

Ramona Whiting

Nice place to explore Denver downtown and rail service is free and convenient on 16th Street! Shopping,Restaurants and music and hidden gems . Sometimes a festival! Come see it for yourself!

Hasani Olu

Love this place. Lots to see and do.

Michael Taylor

Great shopping area with lots to offer. More places to eat then you can count; They aren't all amazing but you can always find what you are in the mood for. Some really cool stores both on 16th or just a block away. Definitely a good way to waste some time and people watch. I always go to uniqlo, h&m and boneys bbq!

Ryan Thomas

Great place to visit and experience while in Denver. The homeless people are everywhere, but usually tend not to bother people too much. The shops are cool to check out, and the fact your surrounded by the downtown buildings make it a unique experience. There is always something to do or see on 16th street, and would recommend going in the daytime.

Joerg Erdmenger

Nice relaxed atmosphere, with good choice of shops and restaurants. Best of all the free bus ride, seats in the sun and life music on weekends.

Erika Hernandez

Lots of things to do and see. I loved all the different street performers. Nice area for a stroll through the city.

James stephens

Being legally blind, I'm going to enjoy it until the city lets cars, trucks, mall shuttle buses all drive where they want to.

Donna Chopper

I used to love going downtown as a kid. The homeless Community has grown so much that you can't even walk the mall without somebody yelling at you for not giving them change. It has gotten so ugly down there you almost feel dirty when you leave. So sad

Jonny Five

Down town Denver shopping at its finest.

Ty Summer

This was Colorado's annual ZOMBIE CRAWL on the 16th street mall downtown. There is nothing more fun and festive during the mo th of October for our Denver natives. Coming right at the end of the Great American Beer Festival along with Denvers Beer Garden this city knows how to brew drink and have fun locally and loyally. There's no place like home. DOWNTOWN DENVER 16TH ST MALL

H M

Great outdoor mall with lots of shops, restaurants, food carts, along with a wide variety of entertainment venues and bars. There is a free shuttle that runs all day, everyday between civic center and union station so it is convenient for anyone to go anywhere along the mall. There are lots of benches and seating areas and it's a fantastic place to people watch or picnic. The city has greatly improved 16th street over the last decade and they do a good job of keeping it clean and maintained. Security and police patrols are frequent and visible. I feel safe here and recommend at least one visit to this treasure of Denver. Who knows, you may get hooked!

Elizabeth Black

One of my favorite places to go.

Frankie J

I give 16th Street Mall located at 1001 16th St Mall, Denver, CO 80265 FIVE STARS. This is such a Wonderful part of Denver and its a MUST DO. So much art to see here and they have plenty of food options. If you are lazy person and you don't want to walk they offer free bus rides. 5️⃣ ⭐

Edward Perkins

Love the food court here, but the parking i felt it a little small!

Carlos Hidalgo

Beautiful street with lots of stores and breweries

Justin Sceili

Cool outside mall with plenty of people watching

Anthony Sutphin

Cant smoke a cigarette anywhere. You cannot use a bathroom anywhere on 16th unless your a CUSTOMER at an overpriced restaurant, they say no even if your small child has to go to the bathroom. All the pianos suck now absolutely unplayable. I can't think of one good reason to waste your time and money here. Denver has way better places to offer then 16th street mall.

El Nopal

A place for Homeless, so give them Homes...

Janet Long

A nice way to walk & enjoy the stores.

Marc Wigginton

What a beautiful part of Denver! Very clean and we'll taken care of. Lots of shops to go to!!

A-TLC Limousine

True blood line of Denver Life. Awesome restaurants and stores found along the entire mall from one end to the Other. This is where a majority of the miracles happen.

Wild Woods Dungeon

There are a lot of shops but public bathrooms are a hassle. Sometimes the trailer is there otherwise you have to buy something to use a bathroom. Great shops and many options for food or drinks.

Unkenf Mandelv

GO during the day for sure. We've been there a few times day and night and during the nights you're on edge because of the homeless people. I've never seen trouble, but we were uncomfortable.

Matt Person

Had a great time at the Zombie Crawl...and I didn't smell pee in any of the alleyways! Good job city of Denver....I know they are at least trying to make this area not a homeless camp

Manfred Dienstbier

People watching at its finest.

Rick Regenfuss

The epicenter of Denver. Terrific selection of restaurants and cafes. Great place to people=watch, stroll and hang out.

Todd Scranton

I had to go downtown to take care of something

Mohammed Ibrahim

Nice place close to Rambla street in Barcelona and there are many cafes and restaurants

liam shelton

Cute little outdoor mall with a bus to get u from one end to the other if u want.

Travelling First

Great place to hangout in the Denver downtown. There are plenty of restaurants, shopping malls and iconic places.

Alberto Escutia

It was a nice walk along this beautiful city.

William Parker

It's a fairly nice place but was less of a mall and more of a strip of restaurants. They did have some shops off to the side but as I walked the strip I felt that most locations are for food. If you're looking for a place to eat however, this may be the place for you.

Aparna V

I like the pearl Street Mall in Boulder better. There weren't street performances but may be it never happens here, visited the place only cos my flight was cancelled.

Sarah Fox

Fun shopping. Some big chains as well as local places. Plenty of restaurants and shops to spend a few hours. Use the free mallride! It stops at every block and is easy to hop on and off.

Amer Daniel Shafi

Just walk fast it was hard with my father and uncle they are elderly

Jonathan Gilbert

Great for people watching and a nice walk but lacks appealing retailers.

Chryssa Simmons

What a lovely place to go to it's beautiful at night . . .

Erick Perez

Loved it went to the 2019 zombie crawl and enjoyed the whole day with costumes and drinking. There was plenty to do and see. They have a really nice farmers market off of the corner of arapahoe and 16th. And don't forget to check out Henry's tavern.

Tarayjah Hoey-Gordon

I think my expectations were high. Decent stores. A little charm here and there.

James Casey

Fun street, a must see when your DT Denver, peace..

Leena Starr Gomez

A lot of homeless however it's still very clean and a great place to go when you want to make a day of discovering new thing, places, sounds, art, and culture. There always something that will surprise you downtown at the 16th street mall. ALWAYS entertaining.

RICHARD TAUB

A mile long pedestrian friendly outdoor mall with free frequent bus service, creative food stands and public art. The mall is lined with scores of restaurants, stores, and other commercial establishments. An upbeat, fun vibe and a big draw for tourists and homeless folks.

Cynthia Cook

Fun for tourists for sure. Must check out Mt. Everest Imports for a little peak at something different. Love the events, for instance, free ice skating by the clock tower every winter.

Kathryn Cobb

I have to say that I expected an enclosed traditional “mall” but instead was a bit surprised as it is more like a strip mall and finding somewhere to park was challenging. A variety of stores (nothing high-end), no food court and a large homeless population has overcome 16th street and some neighboring streets as well that takes away from the experience in a very big way. #LetsGuide #SixteenthStreetMall #Denver #StoreVariety

Janice Melendez

Great walking area. Much to see.

Patrick Yee

There is always events going on and great place to find food. There are many places of restaurants and shops. I really like it when Christmas rolls around, I hope this year there is snow.

Carlos Diaz

16th Street Mall is a amazing place in Denver Colorado, I enjoyed my visit there. There are many, many places to eat and shop. There is a bus that will take you up and down 16th street for free. I will be returning to Denver very soon. This really a beautiful city.

Gina Jones

Great shopping. Street performers and festivals.

cherie grace

The street mall was awesome and alot to see

Logan McCarthy

Been going for years and while it's still awesome, the homeless population has started to overrun the mall and nothing is done about it. It is much dirtier than it was just 5 years ago

topknotsrule

I've been enjoying 16th St. Mall for over a decade. It's a great way to spend half a day with your out-of-towners who have time to kill but aren't geared for mountain tourism.

Prince Jordan

It's Awesome in part, because I play music here! Guitar solos right now!

Ronnette Davis

Busy place. Lots of police on foot. Shows the change over time. I felt safe and yet suspicious at the same time. I can't imagine what a visitor might think seeing so many police. I like the new venues. Target for one.

Corey Strock

Tons of shops and restaurants with plenty of parking in the area as well. Great way to spend a few hours.

Sherman G

B-E-A-UTIFUL since the remodel a lifetime ago.

Contrarian Libertarian

Love it when all the musicians and performers come out. Also this is one of the best spots in Denver to find good restaurants and activities.

John Stegman

16th Street Mall is a mile long stretch of road in downtown Denver. This road is closed to driving to the public and is occupied With free shuttles running every few minutes during peak hours of the day as well as pedi-cabs and horse-drawn carriages at night. This outdoor mall is comprised of a movie theater, over 40 places to eat, live music venues, museums, a Hard Rock Cafe, bowling alley and many more attentions. This mall is one of the most unique malls in America. Although this mall is amazing place to visit it also has some downsides, the biggest being the homeless pollination. Like all bigger cities there are homeless people in the downtown area and this mall is no exception. With 16th Street mall being such a hight tourest area the security and police presence makes it a safe place to visit and not have to worry. I personally have walked up and down this street many times at night and yet to have a problem. With all the things to do in downtown Denver and it closes proxemity to the menu attractions this is a great stop to visit when coming to this amazing town. I give it four out of five stars for an amazing location and lots of fun activities.

Corrie Anne Mitchell

I have a blast every time I come to the 16th st mall. Kids love it. They get out and walk. Prime pokemon location.

Elizabeth Herrera

Love the 16th street mall !! Food fun shopping.. dancing.. dining..people watching !! Perfect for a weekend date

Neha Sarraf

I visited this street in night around 8:30 pm! It was very beautiful but everything was closed. I think this is place for day , to spend a whole day. At night nothing was open and felt unsafe to walk here. On google they say 24hours open but it only worth till ships are open! I want to visit again here and spend a day then will review again!

Luke Riddle

A hot spot for tourists. Historical sites and great shopping and food. Locals often avoid it.

Dean Tweedie

The mall has everything you need to enjoy a day of shopping, eatting, and drinking

Kaeleigh Michelle

The 16th Street Mall is an amazing place in the heart of Denver. There is massive development happening and you can just feel the growth and the excitement of the city. Young professionals walking around, all walks of life, and the it is kept very clean. The 16th Street Mall is surely back on the map and the city has really cleaned it up! Great place to stroll around and truly feel the growth happening in this amazing city!

Bobbie McDon

This is a great place to shop for all ages. There are toy shops

Eric Castro

It's cool if you're from out of town.. kinda gets old when you live in the area. HOWEVER: The movie theater is THE BEST around.

Rupy Randhawa

Really good place to walk around, its hard to tell that its a mall because you just feel like you are walking on a street but its really cool and they also free bus service for the mall, coz it pretty big, you might get tired walking from one end to another and the bus stops are at every crossing

Paul Carlson

The 16th Street Mall is a very unique experience. There are all kinds of great stores and some great restaurants too. Maggiano's is one of my favorites. It's also close to the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and the Convention Center. The free mall shuttles are great. Parking sucks, especially if there's something going on downtown. I just try to avoid those times.

Kenni Terrell

A nice place to walk around. It's mostly restaurants and not stores, so I wouldn't go here if I actually wanted to go shopping.

Serenity Clark

It's a great experience but in the heat the smell of the alley can be a lot

Sergey Naddak

Nice place with great prices. Good transportation around.

ae phinyar

Day and night scene is quite different (I recommend night time). Many restaurants and shops along the street. They have free shuttle bus from Wewatta Street (at Union Station) to the intersection of 16th Avenue and Broadway (at Civic Center Station) that’s so convenient. Most of the shop in 16 street closed quite early (around 8-9pm).

Nicholas Muller

What a great piece of Denver So Many Shops and Heated Overhangs at most stores! So many cool finds! There is a store just for Socks! I love Socks! Beautiful at Christmas Time! Skating, amazing confections! Great Food! A Must See if Visiting Denver! Free Trolley Service!

Anthony Messina

Pretty neat little strip along a street in Denver. Quite a bit of shops and a really cool bus system that runs all quite frequently during the day, is free, and stops along every street. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in town. Be careful at night, like most places and it can be a bit unsafe late at night.

Bob Vaughan

It would be really nice to have better access to restrooms esp for kids that cannot wait. Some places the staff are rude when you ask to get your kid into a restroom. Like the target

Aaron Patterson

Essentially if you took a shopping center strip mall from the middle of suburbia (Verizon Store, TJ Maxx, Target, Chili's, etc.) and plopped it into a downtown city street. Uninspired, and an extreme disappointment for a few tourists trying to check out some of downtown Denver on one of our vacation days to the Rockies.

Christian Twamley

Fun outdoor mall with trolley, great food downtown. A must stop in Denver.

Kate Schnack

Nice pedestrian & bus only area right in the middle of downtown Denver

Nathan Heatley

Fun place to visit. Lots of people. Some street performer's. Plenty of things to see and do.

Jennifer Tufte

We enjoyed browsing the area and finding many different types of food and handmade goods. There's a good variety of jewelry, clothing, bags, candles, and artwork.

Renee Mangum

Cool vibe for outdoor space, even saw a street performer preaching into a invisible microphone. Will do again. Shops were welcoming

Vee Tran

A pretty interesting place to visit. Lovely to walk just for the fun of it. Can be fairly busy though.

Selina Harris

If you enjoy walking this is a good stroll. Entertaining and lots of stores, eating options.

G. Kunkel

A fun place to do things during the day but not so much at night due to all the homeless people. There's a free Mall shuttle which will take you up and down the mall. Variety of restaurants to choose from.

Sean K. Tech Dude

Great place to go for a day trip. On normal weekdays it can be pretty crowded, but otherwise it's a great place to go shopping and hang out.

Marcus Johnson

It's great for people watching and I imagine the shopping is outstanding especially since more than half the shops are Colorado based. There are reputable restaurants and bars aplenty. I miss the Tilted Kilt though. I use the mall as a transportation hub as there is a bus depot and 2 train stations expanding my options depending on the time of night. The free mall ride is cool but usually crowded and doesn't allow for bikes which is a major factor for me most of the time. LoDo has a lot going on and this is a great option among many for spending a day.

Russell B

I remember this was my favorite mall as a teenager, always wild vibes and music, its a great city! Id recommend bringing comfortable shoes

Omar Casillas

Great place to walk around and look at some pretty cool stores. Also great place for people watching.

Kura Booker

So many different things going on down here! I did a #modeling shoot here and it was amazing just a bit too busy for me but still well kept and set up nicely.

Lydia Tan

Nice walking street serviced by a free shuttle bus. When we were here it's like very quiet, may be between seasons. We noticed quite a number of homeless asking for spare change. Been to many other countries with walking street in the city, Denver lacks certain ingredient that I can't put my finger on.

Barb Johnson

Used to to have a bunch of eclectic mom & pop shops, now it's just Target, CVS & big corporations... no thanks. A historic district that sold out to the big dogs...

Madisyn Gauerke

If you are looking for a city vibe come to 16th Street Mall. Great shopping and people watching. The parking is not so great. There is no free parking and there is always traffic in Denver. I definitely recommend taking the light rail E line. Tickets are only $6 per person and it drops you off right on 16th Street.

Tyler Trapp

A lot of homeless people walking around asking for money and trying to harass people. Besides that the shops are great and the restaurants are phenomenal. It is a large area and sometimes it is not fun to walk, but the scooters from different ride share company’s are easily accessible and very fun to ride.

Pam Eley

Nice atmosphere with many great shops and places to eat/drink.

Donna Lamb

Popular place. Lots of shopping. Love the free mall ride.

Denise Steininger

You cant go wrong with a trip downtown Denver!

Lynette Harris

Was ok. Too many restaurants and not enough variety of retail shops (mainly ones there are touristy). A lot of homeless, wouldn't feel safe at night.

Harry Thomas

Great place to bring the kids for ice skating and a little winter culture

Matt Constant

Neat concept and good free transportation from one end to the other.

Eric Royal

The scooters were riding around a little fast(mostly kids) but the area and shops were nice... Ate a deep dish pizza...

Perks Advisor

From working professionals to street people you will see all here. My biggest disappointment is that it is full of large national chain restaurants and has less of the character of Denver. There are some nice features like a free shuttle bus which comes frequently. Otherwise, it did not sing to me.

Victoria M Herrera

First time there , wasn't bad. I'd go back.

Griselda Hernandez

If we would of actually felt safe to shop it would have been a better score. We were on vacation with our whole family and the kids wanted to stop here..... terrible idea, parking is bad to start! We tried to walk around hoping to find a place to eat and wait for the teenagers to buy something. Every street we walked was plagued with homeless people. We even had to experience one who clearly was either high or under some sort of illegal substance. He got very aggressive and started throwing things that he was fishing out of a nearby trash can, he punch the wall and screamed profanities at everyone. We had to small babies with us and we got scared that he might hurt us. That went on for a good 15-20 minutes and not a single officer appeared to calm him down or take him away.

Mi2Honey83 Evans

This mall was so big so many different shopping stores. The food court has different cultures of food. It's a must see place if you're visiting.

Nick Thomas

Rode the bird electric scooter was pretty fun.

oren shmuel

It’s super small. The nice part is that they give you a bag of shredded money which the kids had fun with.

Ryan Warrum

Fun to walk around and enjoy some city vibes. Lots of options to shop, eat, get coffee and/or dessert. Good people watching too. Has neat photo ops at alleyways with graffiti art and the pianos in the street. Can get a little sketchy later so keep in mind with younger kids.

BK Mark

Used to be special. Now it’s full of transients and more and more national chain stores. Some good restaurants but Lodo, RiNo, and The highlands are all better.

Cabaret Dude

Love the outdoor bar. Great Bloody Mary's!

James Baer

I absolutely love going to the 16th Street Mall. There is so much to do down here and so many wonderful shops, great parks a 7 story Library close by, and the 16th Street Mall leads to Confluence Park which is a great place for swimming playing and just relaxing in the sunny atmosphere. I recommend it highly.

Geoff Mulligan

The 16th Street Mall is a great place to walk, visit and find some good food. Do plan to take a stroll down the mall if you are in downtown Denver.

Michael Richardson

Not after dark, just dont act loud and your fine anytime tho

Amber Varwig

Always something to do! Shops and restaurants galore. No trip to Denver is complete without it. A free Mall Ride travels up and down the outside mall, and it's all handicap accessible. Bathrooms and water can be a little hard to come by, however. Skyline park, along the mall, has a mini golf course during the summer that doubles as the Southwest skating rink in winter, and they're only about $2-5. Great place to take the fam or for a day alone. With Union Station on one end and the Capitol on the other, it is also a hub for busses and light rail. Many festivals are held at Civic Center Park at the Capitol end of the mall. Love going there. There is a smoking and vaping ban along the mall that passed in 2017 but it isn't strictly enforced, as far as I know.

Kelli Matz

Nice selection of different stores, restaurants and other businesses. The free shuttle is helpful.

W F

A great place for walking in downtown Denver. Plenty of restaurants and shops. There are a few vagrants but most keep to themselves.
