Locked my keys in my car. The gentleman told me he wouldn't take the call because of temperatures.. I get it it's cold out, but you have a job. You're leaving someone stranded outside in negative temperatures. Move somewhere warm if you want to be picky. Never again will I contact this company and I told my insurance to take them off the local listings.

So grateful for this company. One of the worst snow storms of the year, we end up locked out of our house while shoveling because of a power outage. Chris was not only here in a very timely manner, road conditions aside, but he was got us in our house where our kids were sleeping, in no time. The fact that a complete stranger would put himself in unsafe driving conditions to get to our house (getting stuck to and fro) to help us get inside to our sleeping kids demonstrates how dedicated and remarkable this company is. He never even questioned it. The second he heard that there were kids locked inside (safe and sleeping, none the less) he was on his way. The icing on the cake (no pun intended given the road conditions)....once inside, I asked him what I owed him and said, “Nothing. Our biggest concern is that the kids are safe.” #speechless. Beyond grateful and appreciative. Service like this doesn’t exist these days. Truly a diamond in the rough kind of company. Will forever be a customer (hopefully not a frequent one) but will always be recommending this company.

Incompetent. Showed up with a broken key cutter, then couldn't program a key to a newer Ford car after getting a working key cutter. Blamed us for the car not working, didn't provide a working key, and still charged us $50 (after AAA paid em $100). Now the spare key won't even work because they cleared it out when attempting to program the new one. Would've been better off not calling them, and in the future I will do everything in my power to avoid dealing with any locksmith. Edit: if you think a subwoofer or 100 degree heat affects programming a key then find a different profession. The sub was wired directly to the battery so it wouldn't affect other circuits in the car. And if you believed the car may have required 2 keys to program then bring two blanks. We gave you the VIN, make, model, and year of the car when the call was put in. You brought out subpar parts that didn't work and still billed us. The dealer was able to cut a new key and reprogram the spare you deleted out of the car in under 15 minutes AND beat your price estimate. If you're more expensive than the dealer something's wrong. Finally, if you don't provide a working key you shouldn't bill. Amex sided with us and refunded the charge.

I accidentally locked my keys in my car at Walmart and my daughter was inside (25 degrees today). I called them and they were there within 10 min and had my vehicle open within a minute. They were so fast and so friendly. I will definitely always use them if I ever need them again.

Rude. Called to get a car door unlocked. They gave a 25 min ETA. MY friend kept trying to unlock the car, and he did. Called them back within 8 mins of the first call and told them. I expected to pay a fee for them sending someone but having to cancel, but instead all i got was a guy whining about sending someone then hanging up. I would have pay a dispatch fee if need be, but now they lost future business.

As parents, we all know that sometimes the unexpected can happen. Today one of those unexpected things happened when my daughter was in her car seat and her father and I had the heart wrenching moment of panic when we went to open the door only to discover they had somehow been locked and now our precious daughter was stuck inside and we couldn't get to her. A friendly neighbor just happened to step outside, see what was going on and mentioned calling pop-a-lock. After calling a man showed up and within moments had the door open. Because they acted so quickly our daughter was okay and for that we are both eternally grateful and relieved that the situation didn't have to be more stressful than it already was. The best part of this was that not only did they act fast but the service was free of charge. I don't remember the guys name but for now we'll just call him a hero. He was fast at what he did and also very understanding of our situation. I strongly urge everyone to share this helpful piece of information. There is nothing worse than the helpless feeling that comes along with situations like this. Of course we both felt bad that this happened but it is also nice to know that there are still good people out there.

Called and they came within 15 minutes... They unlocked my car within 30 seconds and then went above and beyond by lubricating some of the locks on my car, along with jumping my car which had sat idle for 30 minutes. Couldn't ask for anything more. I highly recommend Pop-A-Lock!

Took me a couple visits to the store, before they had what I was in need of, but they're really great guys. Needed a new fob for my truck and Chris took good care of me. In all fairness, he couldn't give me all the customer care that he wanted, because of my work hours. They will come to you and fix the issue, if you can be there to speak with them and sign paperwork. I will use them again for any lock issues that may arise.

Tonight after i was done grocery shopping i went to put my 5 month old son in the car. My keys must have fallen out of my pocket and must have locked the car on me. I bought a car that had crossbars on the roof and I was never given the key. The seller said he lost the key a few years ago. I've been to about five different locksmiths. None of them even attempted to help whatsoever. Then I went to Pop-A-Lock in Eau Claire. They were determined to pick the locks on the crossbars. Because the locks haven't be turned in 5+ years, they had some difficulty at first but they managed to turn them. After they got the locks off, they made me a few keys and made sure they fit quite a few times (I think they had to file down the inside of the lock and make a custom key or something like this). I went to pay and expected this would be quite expensive because of all the work that went into it. Ended up to be about $30. Very happy with the work they did and they were very nice people as well.

I bought a car and it came with two extra uncut and unprogramed keys. Called to see about getting keys programed and cut. Told the hours of operation are by appointment only unless it's an emergency (then it's 24hrs a day), they won't cut keys without a deposit because it breaks their machine and I would need to pay for repair, they can program keys for my vehicle thought. I chose elsewhere and got my keys programed and cut for a little over half what pop a lock quoted me.

Our car dealer lost the second key to the vehicle we purchased from them. The dealer contacted Pop a lock, and within 10 minutes, someone reached out to us (and it was after regular business hours) and scheduled a time the very next day to come to my work location and create a second key for us. The original key had a battery fail. Due to our great experience with Pop a Lock before I reached out to them and they quickly helped me out. Great service!

Pop-a-lock does great work. I closed on my first home, and they were there the day I moved in to rekey the house for me. We were in and out moving things - but not once did the technician make us feel like we were getting in the way. He was in and out in about an hour for 4 locks. Well worth the money - probably would have spent much more $ on hardware to replace them all and an even greater amount of time trying to get it all done and working properly. Instead, I hired Pop-a-lock to do it for me, and I wouldn't even hesitate to have them help again! Thanks Pop-a-lock!

If there were more stars to give, I would. Today my son accidentally locked our 2.5 month puppy in the car along with the keys. Usually the car doesn't let that happen, but today it did. Apparently the battery on my keys is getting low. We were at Herbert Dental for my daughter and my son came in with Jodi the Patient Coordinator and told me that he had locked the car doors with the puppy inside. Jodi asked to call a locksmith and did. She told me she called Pop-a-lock because they were the closest. I was frantic! Jodi was there to console me until she had to get back to work. Pop-a-lock showed and and opened the door very quickly. The gentleman gathered my info and told me it was no charge because they saved children and animals who get locked in the vehicles that aren't running. I got tears in my eyes....he told me that this year our puppy was number 300+ ( I dont recall the number)!! I asked the gentleman if they had a charitable organization they donate to and he told me it was St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I will donate to them in the name of Pop-a-lock.
