Called at night and were told that he wouldn't send anyone with no explanation why. I guess the definition of 24/7 service has changed. Very rude and unprofessional. I guess when you are one of the only locksmiths in the area you can afford to treat customers poorly.

Bought a truck that only came with half a key broke off in the ignition switch. I removed the switch, took it to Brain's lock and they were able to make me new keys with what was left of the old key. Great place to deal with and the feller behind the counter was top notch.

Clint White

Fantastic customer service, they really seem to pay it forward! Fast, inexpensive and quality work done here! In-and-out!

Parke Cox

Pitiful. Called "24 hr." lock out service three times over a 4 hour period of time and left detailed messages. No return call. No contact and no show. Two days later still no call. I called back two days later during business hours. The person answering could have cared less and offered no explanation. CALL SOMEONE ELSE. They need to remove "24 Hr. emergency service" from the vehicle as they have no service offered. CALL SOMEONE ELSE.

Called for lockout service, it was a Friday night. Was very rude and I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Joaquin

Highly recommended! Showed up to get a motorcycle key copy and they already had one picked out from when I called days earlier. Took less than 5 minutes!

24-hour service is a joke. I'm still waiting for them to call me back. Ended up calling a locksmith in Roanoke.

Tony Gould

They're always eager to help and very knowledge.

Darren Beeken

Haven't got work done by them . But I was pretty annoying called them 3 or 4 times about the same thing and they was nice and didn't treat me like I was stupid. Haha. And 20 dollars for a motorcycle key I was suprised. I'm defiently happy

Melissa Banker

I called and emergency line person was so unhelpful and rude. They said they couldn't get to me because they had appointments all day but maybe sometime tonight so, I asked if they could do that, and he said no, he can't make appointments and to call back later and he said around 4:30 or 5 and said that it would be an extra fee because that was afterhours. I was so frustrated but I said that would be fine, and could I get his name in case I had any other questions. He refused to give me his name. So unprofessional! I called a local garage and they were really sweet to me. A little kindness and compassion is needed!

Arrived on time, polite, fast and expected

Kimberly Lester

Helped me out when I locked myself out of my house. Drove 45 minutes to my resume on a weekend afternoon. Efficient and priced as expected. The guy performing the service was a bit rude and very cocky but he did help me out. I guess you don't have to be nice when your the only game in town.

Great guys but kind of expensive keys but ots ok I still give them my business

David Henry

For Copying Keys and Helping Order and Install Locks I see no need to go with anyone else. They are friendly, helpful, quick to respond, and the price point is right.

Brittany Grubb

AWFUL, RUDE, INSINCERE. I locked myself of my house at night and called him. He was VERY rude and said that he wasn't having anyone come out this late. It says 24/7 emergency service-YEAH RIGHT! He said I better start smashing our windows. Very unprofessional and I would not recommend him at all. Does not deserve anyone's money. I'd rather drill my lock before giving him any of my money. DO NOT CALL THIS MAN!

Hansen Ball

We had the locks re-keyed at New River computing. Fast, professional, and now all of our keys work in the locks! Thanks!

First let me say Brian’s Lock & Key has a good and convenient service, their manager is great and very patient. The service fee is very regular. However, I was very upset with the one of the worker’s attitude. When he processed my payment, he has a disconnection and he was telling his manager my credit card number and security number outside in the public. I warned him DO NOT talk to his manager about my credit card information in outdoors, and I WANT HIM TO SPEAK TO HIS MANAGER ABOUT THE CREDIT CARD INFORMATION IN HIS VAN WITH THE VAN’s DOOR BEING CLOSRD, because people will overhear if he reveal my credit card information outdoors by speaking on the phone. However, he didn’t let me finish and then he just revealed my credit card information OUTDOORS without my approval. When I warned him don’t repeat that next time, he was acting like douchebag and speak to me with stupidity such that “ I don’t think there are people in the house.” What a stupid logic here, I don’t know how is he going to know if my neighborhood is not in their home when he is not the house owner. MY POINT IS THAT HE ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT KNOW IF THERE ARE PEOPLE IN THE HOUSE, BECAUSE HE IS NOT THE OWNER OF THE HOUSE. What he did was insulting my IQ upon customer’s confidentiality. This is not only an action of impoliteness to customer. However, revealing customer’s credit card information IN THE PUBLIC without customer’s approval may be a violation of customer’s privacy, which is my credit card information here. I have called Brian’s Lock & Key’s manager about this issue and the manager is great and very understanding with my frustration. The manager said she will take care of that, and I am glad she say that. However, I am still writing this review because I am not sure if things happened to me today is a one-time incident, of some other customer’s have experienced similar things like this in the past, and I want to use this review to encourage customers to also protect their own confidentiality like seriously. Overall, thank you manager for being nice to me and please take care of this case. Even though there may be a chance no one heard my credit card information, still, you never know.

Great people! Made my duplicate fast and easy and even gave it to me without the payment since I wasn't sure it was going to work. Im going to go back and pay them since it did work.

Emily DiMaio

I called the shop in a panic because I washed my Ford Expedition key fob, which apparently renders it useless. Although he was full for the day, he took pity on me and made room for me and got me on the road in an hour. FANTASTIC SERVICE! THANK YOU!

Vwry nice service famoso for the Blue truck

Brady Redfearn

Great service and problem solving. They don't take credit cards for anything less than $5, though, so make sure you have some cash if you're getting something cheap done (like a key copied)

Trenton Deel

Came in to get a copy made of my bent Kawasaki key. Took around 20 minutes, and was a great price. Definitely recommend (at least for keys)

T Mathis

Very expensive and was not even sure they could pic the lock. Not worth the drive over to Blacksburg. Keep on charging ridiculous prices and it's going to put you out of business.

Dan Hua

Excellent job. fast, smooth and professional. I requested to remove broken car key from door lock and duplicate 2 copied of my car key. They completed all jobs within 10 minutes for a total of $16. What a great service ! I really appreciate that.

Frank Drummond

Had a difficult lock needing service today. They were able to quickly rekey it at their business location. Great price and service. Kept my business going smoothly

I was quoted 140 over the phone after telling the locksmith exactly how many doors I needed re-keyed to include deadbolts. Locksmith showed up and I showed him all the doors and he began to get to work. I left to the store and get a call from my wife her charged us $245. After calling and talking to Austin about the $100 upcharge without explanation he told me the he would call me back within an hour to make things right. After telling me I was wrong... this was on the first of the month. It’s now the 7th and no call, no compensation, no care.... there are other locksmiths in the surrounding area I recommend you don’t waist your time with this place. Just know if you do decide to go with this place, the quote they give you will be upcharged, after the work is done not before... you won’t know you have to pay more until they have finished working, and they won’t call you back or be the local small town business you expect.

Went there to duplicate my car key since I had problems with ignition lock. He made the key, and while I was getting ready to pay, he told me to take the key for free, and try it first - if the key works I can come and pay, but if it doesn't I don't need to pay since I will have expenses for changing the ignition lock. Rare to see something like that these days...
