The only reason I didn't give them one star is because Dave was great guy. Management there needs to learn about customer service. After towing my car to them from Olympia, it was too close to closing time and they could not work on it. I told them I was willing to purchase more than one key and was going to end up spending over $400 in keys if the could just stay 10 min over totprogram a chipped key. The manager was in a hurry to get home and didn't want to deal with it. But they were happy to rip me off $300 to cut a key when they opened back up on Monday. I worked customer service and if the customer comes in one min before closing I stayed to help them. It's called " Customer Service". But at Guardian Security makes too much money and don't need people giving them anymore so I will help them out and not give them anymore business. I recommended Sherman Security he stays late for customers and offered better prices.

Today my 8 year old 2008 Mini Cooper's 2nd FOB went through washing machine destroying the remote door opening capability. While the RFID chip still started the car it would not open the doors from the outside. No big deal except on Mini Coopers a well known flaw is the rear hatch external handle (located under and between the license plate lights) mechanism fails after about 3-4 years as it did in mine. The other poor design feature is that the internal dash unlock switch works through the electronic latch that goes bad. After 2006 Mini Cooper (AKA BMW) stopped installing an internal release cable under the seats that would have offered a second way, other than remote electronics, to open the hatch. Therefore when the electronic hatch latch release inevitably goes defunct you can only open the rear hatch with the remote on the FOB. When your last FOB goes through the washer, you can no longer open the rear hatch. The Mini Dealer said they would gladly sell me and program a replacement FOB for just under $500. Holy SH__! is what I thought to my self. The guys at Guardian said they could do much better but the guy who does it was home sick today. So instead they took a look at my Mini and opened it from the inside by dismantling the back panel. He then showed me where the interior release cable could have been installed by BMW, BUT WASN'T (Those Bast___s at BMW) He showed me how for a few dollars and a few minutes time I could rig up a manual interior release mechanism I could easily work from the inside by a simple reach around. He charged me $55 for his time to get the hatch open. I went home and had the release wired in about 20 min and now I can open my hatch. The release is hidden from view but easy to access. I have been using Guardian for all my locksmith needs for more years than I can remember. They are all business, straight forward guys that know their trade. They try to solve your problem; not rip you off. That is why I keep going back. I have never written them a review before this, but for the $445 dollars they saved me from spending at the Mini Dealer I feel I owed it to them.

This is the place to get yer car keys made. Friendly service and they have a large selection of safes too. It's in a fun part of town you can cruize through, get a beer, Pho, and a massage at...ya know...that place with the windows painted over. Go for their keys.

Man I was locked out of my Range Rover at the gym, had two locksmiths come down and try and get in it at separate times, both failed...I thought I was either gonna have to bust the window out or wait a week and have the dealership order me a key..I said let me try one more locksmith so I called Guardian and spoke with Magic Dave...he said he could get it open...I was skeptical at first and was like dude don't waste mine or your time because I already had two locksmith say they could open it and failed...he said he could make it happen and he did....saved me from breaking my window or leaving my SUV at the gym for a week....Thanks Dave, I mean Dave the Magician

Lost my last key fob (dumb) on my Chrysler 300. I thought it was going to need a tow to dealer. Nope. Guardian has all the electronics to plug into the car and made two fobs for me. Came to my house within an hour. Professional, large van and friendly tech. They do charge mileage to come out but their fobs are cheaper than dealership. Five stars for sure. Plus I'm not sure if anyone else in Tacoma area has the electronics besides these guys. I called around first

I went to Guardian for a new key fob for my Dodge Challenger. They charged me close to $300, and after going back twice the same day (over 3 hours) they weren't able to sync it correctly with my car. The next day I went to Tacoma Dodge, and they discovered that it wasn't programmed correctly, and had it fixed fairly quickly. I had to pay them almost $200 to fix what Guardian couldn't. Guardian agreed to provide a full refund if I returned the key fob. Then I'd be without a fob, and still out $200. Don't use them, they don't know what the'yre doing. I do appreciate you sending me a check, so I have changed my rating. I shouldn't have had to dispute this with my credit card company and the Attorney General's office , before you decided to rectify this issue several months later.

I locked my keys in my car. First I called Elite locksmiths in Tacoma and they wouldn't tell me how much it would be upfront. When the guy got here he wanted to charge me $165 which seemed really high. When I refused he yelled at me and tried to get me to pay $30 just for him to come out. I then called Guardian security group. They were polite and told me upfront over the phone how much I would pay before coming out. They wanted $80 which is half of what Elite wanted. The locksmith called and said he'd be here in 20 minutes. I'll stick with this company exclusively in the future. Thanks!

i wished i would of got his name. but i didn’t even have to say anything when i put my broken key, and fob on the counter. i was calling all sorts of locksmiths trying to get a quote to get my key and fob replaced. of course Toyota wanted to charge me $500ish dollars! Y I K E S! the guy told me what needed to be fixed, straight away gave me a price and got to work. i was on my merry ways in less than 30 minutes. i’m a single mom and don’t have the time or money to pay a buttload. and i paid less than a $100! y’all guys check them out and have them give you options. they seriously made my whole day! thank you, Guardian Security!!

No need to shop around, if you want a skilled technician with reputable company at a reasonable price, this is the place. Auto technician, Curtis was excellent and was able to make a new chip key that actually worked for my truck. I found out from Curtis that key made at car dealership with vin # do not always work which I have personally experienced. The key code dealer has in the system was totally different than what it actually was.

Had my son's 1999 Dodge Durango towed to Guardian to have the Fob programmed so the car would start. The key wouldn't start it. Randy was a LIFESAVER!! He even replaced the negative battery connector for me - AT NO CHARGE!! He figured out the problem with the lock system, got her running. RANDY ROCKS! I would definitely give them 10 stars if it was possible . I cannot express my appreciation for their assistance. I had purchased a 2000 Ford Taurus and needed a key made. While he was computing the keys in my car I explain to him what I had been told about purchasing a Fob. He explained to me that I had been given miss information and it would not cost nearly as much as I had been told , So I had the fob made also. I was thrilled with the Fob, I had absolutely no idea what a big difference that would make for me. I’m 74 years old and it is so wonderful to have all the extras that the Fob provided, that I had no idea it would. I would recommend guardian for any of your security services.
