I had called Allstar Locksmith and Hardware when my store front door entry buzzer stopped working. They sent a knowledgeable, courteous, and professional man down who immediately knew how to solve the problem. He quoted me a very fair service fee and then made the necessary repairs. It's been working great for several weeks now and I am very happy with the work done.

I Went to two different hardware stores to get copies of keys that didn't work. Then I Went into Allstar Locksmith & Hardware and walked out with 2 perfect copies in less than two minutes. Joey told me that the service fee was $45.00 and it would be more if he had to change the cylinder. He sprayed WD40 on the inside and outside of the cylinder and the key worked. He did not do any repairs. I gave him the $45 and he told me that it was $100. I said to him that all he did was spray WD40. He became angry with me. I will never used this company again.

These guys were friendly and they got the work done quickly on a door that has given many locksmiths trouble. However, WITHOUT checking first, they installed a lock and then charged me $420. He could tell I was dubious and he called the office to have them quote an over the counter price of $300 to make it look like he was giving me a deal to include labor for the $420. When I went to make copies of the key, my local hardware store said it was totally overpriced. I didn't realize they had a locksmith on hand or I would've called them first. Live and learn but don't call this shop.

It is ok to get a key copied or something small like that, but the person who runs the store can not help you solve problems. The prices are not that great. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, there is plenty other hardware stores in the are.

We've used All-Star Locksmith twice now, once to open a door when we forgot keys and most recently to install a new lock. In both instances, they arrived on time, worked quickly and were really friendly and courteous. Their prices are also reasonable and we weren't hit with any surprise charges after the installation. I recommend them highly.

My lock broke and left me locked out of my apartment. All Star said they'd be there within 30 minutes, but took 45. Then they asked for $600 + tax since the mechanism needed to be replaced and it was a lot of work. When I said that seemed to expensive, they went down to $525. I called another locksmith (King's), which gave a much cheaper quote. I sent the guy from All Star away, after paying the required $40 for the visit. The King's guy came in 15 minutes, opened the door and replaced the mechanism quickly and efficiently, and charged $395.

Joe is the most professional, courteous, polite person that I have met in a long time. He kept in touch with me and when he arrived he did a great job. He even fixed my door so my lock will fit the right way!!! I will recommend him to anybody that wants a good job done. The best locksmith ever and i had a few because between my kids and we have locked ourselves out of the house many times. This is the best place for key replacements in the Brooklyn! We have taken questionable bent keys and keys snapped in half and they were able to make duplicates. Not to say they can for every situation, but we were lucky enough they were able to get it done. They are very helpful and listen carefully to what you are saying. They try to give you the best deal for your money. Fantastic Emergency Locksmith service! Why go anywhere else?

Be prepared to pay full price ($45 service fee + $95 lock out fee) even if no actual labor is done on your lock. Customer service on the business end is deplorable. Actual locksmith (John), is knowledgable and friendly but is stuck playing middle man when it comes to final pricing and policies.

Was away in the Caribbean and accidently locked both of my doors, wrought iron storm door and then regular door but only gave the pet sitting company the key to the interior one. Pet sitter of course couldn’t get in to take care of my animal and was trying to reach me but I was already in vacation mindset and didn’t check my phone or messages until the next day. I had to find a locksmith on a Sunday that would basically break in to my apartment without me being there or knowing me at all. Got a hold of Joe and explain my dilemma and that I need them to bust the storm door lock. Joe and his wife Victoria are the best key-makers in the game. Joe can duplicate Mul-T-Lock keys by sight, which is extremely helpful when you've lost the combination for it. He's always willing to make new Mul-T-Lock keys, let you go home to try them, and then stop back in to pay once you're certain the keys will work. A truly wonderful and helpful local business. Brought in a Schlage door lock to rekey it, having succesfully done a few with another locksmith who was further away. This guy on the other hand takes it apart and tells me it can't be done on this type of lock suggesting i need to buy a new one instead of just telling me he didn't know how to do it. Also, he couldn't put the lock back together after having taken it apart. Driving the extra few miles and going back to M&D Locks and Keys on Beverly.
