Looking to get another key but this one time I locked my key in my car.... first time ever. My sister in law drove me over to get a key. I needed to show I owned the car and I got on the DMV website took a picture and emailed the guy the copy showing I was the owner. He apologized and I was like I am actually glad they make you do this. I was in a bad relationship once so knowing someone can’t just go get a key made is awesome! Thank you for taking care of me!

I have been to B&D lock on two occasions and left disappointed both times. The first time I visited, I wanted to get a key duplicated for my car. The key was old and had substantial pocket wear, but still worked correctly. However, they attempted to tell me that "keys do not wear out in your pocket" and that "my ignition was eating the key." They suggested that I should have them install a new ignition. All of my keys in my pocket had the same amount of wear, so I knew this was bogus. I simply refused and had the key duplicated. The second time I visited, I wanted to get a blank key for a lock I did not have a key for so I could make a key for it myself. However, after determining what key type it was, they refused to sell me a blank key due to "legal concerns" and the fear that I might "make a bump key." They then offered to make the key for me instead for $10. It is not illegal to sell blank keys. I did not like being made to feel like a criminal because I wanted to make a key myself. I simply went to a hardware store up the road and bought the same blank key from them without problem. I am never going to B&D lock again.

Moved to a new house, and needed 5 deadbolts and locking handles replaced. I called B&D and they sent a guy out fairly quickly. Tommy, the locksmith, swapped out all the locks and handles in about an hour, including some in-the-field modifications. Fast, not expensive, and professional. paid $20 (of my teen hard earned money from fast food joints and) to get a blank key online. Gave the key to my dad and he took it to B&D, it's fine that they couldn't cut it but I didn't get the key back, my dad texted me instantly that they had lost my new key. I called them and he put the blame entirely on my dad. If I could give this place a 0 star I would, I don't deserve to have something taken and not returned from me.

Walked in to get a key fob worked on and new key cut. Never been there before in my life. I got an intense stare down and snappy question about what did I need.. I was taken back by the customer service and his COCKY rudeness and so I stared back in disbelief. Tempting to give this jerk a piece of my mind I told him I needed a key Fob programed and a new key cut. He promptly gave the task to someone else. I was charged after numerous tests for the full amount of reprogramming the fob and new key cut although the key fob still did not work. You will never see me at this joint again EVER. Who ever the bearded wonder is he needs to work on his people skills if he has any. Me bad mouth these people? Take a guess.

1st time dealing with this company. Had a Triumph motorcycle key that broke in two pieces. Took the broken pieces to these guys and they were able to copy the broken one. In and out in 10 minutes with new keys. Yep I'll be going back again. (Update) Had to change from 5 stars to 3 stars because when I was able to use my new keys that I bought 1 out of the 4 did not work. Not because it was cut wrong but because they got the wrong blank. Key would not even fit into the lock. I compared it to the others and it was the wrong blank. Would have thought the key guy would have noticed he was cutting the wrong one but guess not. Now I have to travel 25 miles back to have them fix their mistake. I would still go back but i'll check their work next time before I leave.

Need a key for a lock for a tool box on your truck??? Get it here! Great place to get keys done. It can get a little busy at times, but the staff will make up for that in listening to your issue. How ever if you do get a key at any lock place make sure it works if you can before you leave. Sometimes a mistake might happen. I took a truck tool box lock assembly in and asked if I could get a new lock since the key was lost. Instead they asked if they could see it for a moment... Let them.... They came back and asked if I would just like the key instead of buying a new lock.... They made a key for it without having the original. Just ask they will try to deliver... If not better. Have a good one and Good Luck!

UPDATE: I want to explain my statement saying that you feel like they're expecting you to be knowledgeable about the right things to say when explaining your problem. Sometimes you work everyday in the same business and have for many years you have your own lingo when talking about the locks or keys. Some in the business will make you feel like you are stupid. Usually those who have the least experience. I do not believe that this is the case here but it is a business with many manufacturers and each one have different styles of the lock or key depending on the year made. B&D may have forgotten to a degree that not all care but just want to have it taken care of without telling them your life story. B&D LOCK Williamson Rd, Roanoke 24019 Very knowledgeable about the locksmith business. They have some employees that very much are like the people who think you should know what you're supposed to say or ask. Sometimes making people feel foolish especially the elderly. But it is done and done well. Very good.
