After getting 6 keys for my office made at the large hardware store, only 2 of them worked, and with those you had to shake them to get them to work. I went in to Baldinos, and the guy (Tim?) took the time to explain why those keys didn't work and went over the process of making a good key that will always work. Sure enough, they worked great. His prices were about 20% higher than the big box store, but they keys work, and for me that premium is worth avoiding the hassle of having them remade. I've had every key I needed cut by him since, even a few specialty keys and they've all worked flawlessly. If your a 'curious learner' type like me, this guy will delight in explaining every part of the key making process and how locks work.

I just moved into a foreclosed home and needed some keys made and locks replaced. So I called Baldinos. The girl who answered the phone was very rude and condescending. She mocked me when I tried to describe the kind of locks I wanted installed. She was rude when I told her that key I currently had didn't have any special identification words/numbers on it. I read her what little was on the key and she said "Well that doesn't help me now does it?" So I told her nevermind and called up Spencer's Lock & Key instead. They need to get someone more customer-friendly to answer the phone.

Great place with fair price!! Very few place has the ability to do automobile key duplication but Baldino's Lock & Key is the one in Reston area.

I brought in my safe to the Reston Baldino's lock & key. My batteries had died in it, so I was locked out of it and had no key. They were amazing, he had it open in a minute and didn't charge me a thing! I highly recommend these guys for any lock, keys or safe issues! Thanks again!

Excellent locksmith. I always get the best customer service at this location and all of my keys have worked perfectly. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I have tried other locksmiths in the county and now Baldino's is my favorite.

Drove over from Ashburn because they were one of the few open on Sat. Arrived an hour before closing, but the door was locked with a sign that says they are closed today for emergency service. Not for nothing, but I called first to verify they were open, and their voicemail greeting confirmed today’s hours. It would have been nice if they at least updated their greeting to say they had to close today.

It took 4 different attempts to reach someone. I tried the phone number on the Reston Google listing, their website, their app, and finally, called using the short cut on the app, which was a Lorton number. The woman who answered was rude and told me it would be $198 to get back into my condo. This was at 9 on a Saturday morning. Looking elsewhere. :(

Must have hit this place on a bad day? Walked in and the guy never greeted me. After standing awkwardly for several seconds, the guy stated he would be with me momentarily. I had my own truck key and Fob (purchased online) but I still needed it to be cut and programmed. Apparently he wasn't happy that I didn't purchase the items from his store. He gave this long story about the quality and said he can't guarantee that the key would work. When it came to programing the Fob, he told me what times of the day that he would program the Fob.. Decided to take my business elsewhere. Literally walked across the parking lot to Home Depot. While waiting for my key, I casually told my story to the employee by the key counter. He laughed, cut my new key and said "have a good day." Did I mention he said "no charge"! Key worked perfectly. I hear good things about the Mclean location, so maybe try them first before the Reston one? Good luck. Maybe I'll give this place another shot later down the road. Oh and Chevy dealership ended up price matching the programming fee.

This is an awesome place! I've used their service several times now and their new sales person is so nice every time.They are fast with copying keys and patient with explaining which choice suites your need better. Great to deal with, efficient and well worth the cost. I would come back again, and recommend this place based on my experience.

First of all, Tim is a Master Locksmith. It's good to know there is one so accessible in Reston. I went in for an office key for my small business and I needed several for all of my staff. Not only did he give me a great competitive price for the specialty keys that I was unable to get from Walmart or Home Depot, he told me to let him know if there are any issues at all and gave me his card. It was a great experience, quality and fast service- I will go back to them for any of the services I need that they provide.

I was real worried that I wouldn't be able to find any place to copy my key fob, they have to be specially laser cut these days. Baldinos did a fantastic and fast job! It was a little rough at first, but they refined the cut and it works perfect now. Thank you so much! Dealer would have charged me over $200, these guys did it for $43. wow!
