I called around to get some estimates as well as a comfort level on who could make replacement 2012 Honda Odyssey keys (after researching online not everyone / locksmith is created equal). Got in touch with Richard at the Manassas store and he was very confident he'd have no issues. Stopped by today and he was in fact spot on in his assessment / confidence - cut two new keys in short order without issue. I brought in the replacement blanks and original key WITHOUT the car (I don't recommend that but my better half needed it) and Richard informed me that "aftermarket" blanks can be slightly wider than OEM. He said to try them and to expect a minor adjustment with a basic flat file - he showed me what he was referring to when I was there. He said I could bring them back and he'd take care of it at no cost. In fact they did, however, I had the file and managed a hardware store for several years so was comfortable tweaking these slightly. All said, they work great and his advise was spot on. If you do NOT want to worry about the adjustment, I'd simply recommend bringing the original in and letting the expert take care of everything... do bring the car, however :^). Bottom line, I was very impressed and would be VERY comfortable recommending Richard / Baldino's for your key needs!!!!

I brought in a new safe that I had bricked and locked myself out of while trying to change the combination. There was no bypass mechanism and nothing to do but try to guess what I had done (or break in and wreck it). I went in to have a spare key cut and programmed. He cut it no problem, He then took less then 3 minutes to try and program it. It didn’t work, he gave me back my key and that was it. As I was about to turn around and leave, He quickly rudely tells me I still have to pay for getting the key programmed. Me looking confused says to him “ but you just told me you couldn’t program it? “ He then says “ yeah, but you still have to pay $65” Please be aware !!! I paid to get it cut but he should have never charged me for programming it, something he DID NOT do !!!

Never knew this was here. Looked at google reviews and saw how high they were and decided to stop in to get my Ford Ranger spare key cut. Richard did it in about 15 seconds and the price was more than fair. Works perfectly. I then proceeded to stay another two hours and we just chatted/talked. It was quite cool. Most places aren't like this at all and you want to get in/get out as fast as possible because the lack of customer service doesn't make you want to stay. This is the complete opposite here. It's quite refreshing to be honest. I wish I knew about this place sooner. I will never go anywhere else to get keys cut going forward. If you want/need keys made go here. The technician had the correct key model, was able to make a working copy, and offered to try again if the copy did not work, provided I bring in the lock. Fast informative and friendly had a amazon VW key all other locksmiths said they couldn't and wouldn't cut stated it would destroy their cutters and didn't guarantee the keys would work but stated I would have to pay first...not only did he do it but cut both keys and had me in and out in about 30 minutes! Great service! Lost spare car key to our KIA Sorento. Walked into the Manassas Baldino's location after work and within minutes, the gentleman cut my key and had me try it in my car to make sure it fit smoothly and worked fine. If I could give a 10 star rating I would. Richard provided phenomenal support. I purchased ankeyless key online for my 2006 Lexus SUV. My husband took the key to another location. He was told by the locksmith that he could not assist him. He went to another location where the key was cut but the person could not figure out how to program the keyless features. I personally received a call from a store manager who told me to go to the Manassas store. He said that if Richard could not get the key to work then no one would be able to. Suffice it to say, Richard programmed the key and it worked. Fast forward less than two months later, the key stopped working and we had to lock and unlock the car doors manually. I called Richard. At first he said there was nothing more that he could do since we didn’t purchase the key from Baldino. Within ten minutes he called me and said to come to the store because maybe the battery was dead. Not only was he right, he replaced it for free. It is hard to come by this kind of professional customer service. Kudos to Richard.

I visited Baldino’s for the first time today at their Manassas location. I went to see if they could make several keys for two different makes of ATV’s and a camping trailer. They issue has been most hardware stores do not have the type of key blank needed to duplicate the ATV and camping trailer keys. It took Richard, the shop manager, just a few minutes to find the correct keys for the trailer and one of the ATV’s. After some digging he found a key he felt would worked for my Polaris ATV, which has been difficult one to find. I left Baldino’s and came home and went to the ATV’s to try the keys. ALL worked as promised, even though Richard was not 100% on the Polaris keys. My referral to Baldino’s came from my bride who works for Prince William County and told me they have used them for years and have great service and results. I can recommend Baldino’s of Manassas for your key and lock needs. They are professional and fast. I give them a 5 out of 5 star. I will use them again.

I was charged $5.01 (plus tax) for copying one key. I needed two copies, but because Baldino's price was too high, I later stopped by at J.E. Rice which is closeby. They charged only $2.35 (plus tax) for duplicating the same key. Both stores have a manual copy machine and it took less than a minute to do the job. Both duplicated keys work fine but the cost was remarkably higher at Baldino's. That doesn't seem fair.

I called Bladinos to see if one of thier locksmiths could cut a key for my motorcycle even tho I did not have a key. I spoke with Richy about 6 months ago and he said if I can manage to get him a tumbler from the motorcycle or the the bike it self that he could do it. Being a busy person it took me a while to get around to it but I was able to remove the ignition cylinder and brought it to Richy. As soon as I showed him the tumbler he immediately responded "oh I can do this no promblem, give me about 30 mins". So I went to grab a bite and by the time I got back Richy was sitting there with 2 keys cut for the bike. Everyone else even other Baldino shops told me there is noway to cut a key from nothing without the "key code" from the factory. Richy in at the Manassas shop is the true deal.

By far, this is the best lock and key service I have ever used and I have used many. I have been into the location twice to get copies made. The first time was to get a copy of a laser cut car key made (that the dealer quoted me a price of $150 for a key copy but ultimately said it was “unable” to do without paying $300 for a key fob to go with it). I was concerned about both the price and accuracy of the key but tried. I got a perfect copy for a fraction of the cost, all within 10 minutes of entering the store. I also brought a mailbox key that I had gotten three copies made elsewhere and none worked. The copies of this small/oddly shaped key also were perfect and provided with the car keys. I have gone into the store for house key copies which were extremely cheap and I received a discount only for the promise of writing a good review (which has been extremely overdue and well-deserved anyway). I have also used the at home service to fix a deadbolt which unsurprisingly was fantastic. As long as this business is open I will not go anywhere else. The customer service, skill, precision, and price at all things related to locks and keys exceed any other business in the northern Virginia area.

I liked this place. The guy who helped me was really nice, informative, and helpful. Like a breath of fresh air compared to my big box experience. I highly recommend. Copied my new house key blades for my Keyport. (This was after a very uninformed Lowes employee said "We can't copy those." Um, you are able to, you just don't want to. I've done it myself on that exact model of duplicator. It's just a KW1 Kwikset key... with a different handle. Some people are incredibly dense and lazy.)

This Baldinos is the best!! I had three keys that I needed copied for work, they were all speciality keys but reasonably normal shaped...I ended up going to three lock smith companies with NO LUCK! Finally I went to Baldino's and Rick was AMAZING!! He made copies of all three keys and even blindly copies a forth (that was nearly impossible to copy) and that key worked too!!! He also gave me some guidance on what safe to buy for our business!! About a month later my father was looking to copy a few keys for his boat-he went through the same struggle I did-multiple locksmith companies all telling him they couldnt duplicate his keys... I told him to go to Baldino's and see Rick... the next day he went and came back with his new set of copied keys!! Hands down the most knowledgeable lock smith company!! I lost my spare factory made key to my vehicle. In just a few days, Baldinos was able to get in a chip key with the electronic fob and have it cut for my vehicle. The price was much less than what I had read online. They made sure that both the key fob and the chipped key were working prior to my leaving the store. It is rare to find a business that truly understands the meaning of customer service. I needed two car door lock cylinders to be re-cored to match my existing key. After calling over 20 lock and key companies in Maryland and Virginia, I thought I may not be able to have this job completed. Richard was able to answer my questions, provide multiple options, and worked to meet my requirements. Knowing that I had to drive 2 hours to reach his location, he offered to stay open until the job was done, even though I came in 30 minutes before closing. He completed the job quickly, kept me appraised of his progress, and did an outstanding job. He even identified an issue with my keys/locks I didn't even know I had. Bought a van, the dealer only had one key. Talk to Richard, he was able to cut my key and program the key for so much less than the dealer and quicker than the dealer. I will only use Richatd at the Manassas location, because he's very friendly, very knowledgable. Its a very old school feel, like a mom and pop kind of business.

Baldino's lock & key is the best place to go to make a car key and program a key remote too. Mr. Richard was very nice to me by show me if my key would go through the program or not, but it did go through the program just right after a few trys. I went to Baldino's for a door lock that was not working. I had removed the lock set and brought it in. Richard was super nice and diagnosed the problem right away. He repaired it and had me out the door in record time. Since this lock was for our Church Food Pantry, I was worried that it would take a long time. I went into Baldino's in Manassas with a blank key to have it cut to fit the tumbler of my Italian bike. As this is an extremely hard and complex operation, since the key had many different codes belonging to the corresponding bike. I was immediately directed to Richard Chamberlin and he was able to help me in finding the right key code. This guy was very nice and personable, as I left him with the key and the difficult task at hand. Within a couple of hours, I returned only to find every thing working smoothly and the key fitting the tumbler to a tee. More importantly, I was able to use the key in starting the bike, which obviously was the most vital issue. I was amazed at the speedy and precise execution of the job. Additionally, I was ecstatic that he was able to do a phenomenal job! Baldinos does a great job of taking on even the hardest of projects, therefore I extremely recommend going to Baldinos as they are able to help you out with practically anything regarding your lock and key needs.
