I had just moved into a house and wanted a deadbolt installed on the metal door to the garage. After a quick google, I called Ben and he came over right after finishing an emergency lockout. He took the time to educate me on smart lock options (schlage be365 for the win!), cut the deadbolt opening, installed the lock quickly, showed me how to program the keypad and use the backup key, and cleaned up all the debris. After further discussion, I also wanted to convert my front door deadbolt to the schlage be365, so Ben drove to Lowe’s to buy another one for me in the right color then came back and popped it in. It was excellent service all around and I don’t hesitate to recommend him.

I have never written a review, prior to this one... Ben answered my phone call. He gave me a time when it worked for my schedule. He SHOWED UP ........ON TIME!!!!! ( that is huge). He was professional, kind, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. He offered a few solutions, and then his expert opinion, and I went with his advice. I am not fussy about aesthetics, but he suggested that our antique finish of our door handle ( aka. old!) could match our new lock. He was correct. He re-keyed another door, or two, for us, and his pricing was excellent. If you are looking to replace any locks, Black Lock LLC is the way to go.

He spent almost 1 hour on the phone with me on two different occassions to discuss what I wanted and what made the most sense for my needs. Who knew there was so much to know about locks? He came out promptly at 4 pm on a Thursday. He worked quickly and efficiently. All of my doors stay shut they like are supposed and the deadbolts move smoother than I've seen anywhere! Ben took extra time and attention to ensure everything was in the highest quality working order. 2 new deadbolts, rekeys, 3 door knob changes, plus labor-- all very fairly priced and on the lower end of the estimate he initially gave me.
