IN JULY 2017 MY NISSAN MAXIMA LOCKED UP WHERE I COULD NOT TURN MY CAR ON. I CALLED THIS LOCK SMITH & USED THEIR SUGGESTED TOW COMPANY CIMMARON TOWING. ALTHOUGH I WAS LATE PICKING MY CAR UP DUE TO WORK & TRAVELING I WAS CHARGED STORAGE FEES, I UNDERSTOOD THE STORAGE FEES. SO AUGUST 2ND,2017 I PICKED MY CAR UP AND PAID $1295.35 CASH $185.00 WAS FOR TOWING, THE GUY ED HANDED ME A CARD AND TOLD ME IF I WAS EVER INTERESTED IN SELLING MY CAR GIVE HIM A CALL DUE TO HE'D LIKE TO POSSIBLY PURCHASE IT. MIND YOU I DIDNT GET THE BRAND NEW PART DUE TO MY CAR IS A 2009.I PICKED MY CAR UP FROM THEIR LOCATION WHICH IS EDMOND, I DROVE TO THE GAS STATION RIGHT AFTER AND THEN TO MIDWEST CITY (MY MOTHERS HOUSE) WHERE I PARKED MY CAR UNTIL I PICKED IT UP FROM MIDWEST CITY ON AUGUST 28TH 2017. ON AUGUST 30TH,2017 MY CAR DID THE EXACT SAME THING. SO I CALLED LOCK SMITH AGAIN BECAUSE I NEEDED TO HAVE MY CAR FIXED AFTER PAYING ALMOST 1300.00!! I CALLED AND SPOKE WITH ED HUMES AND TOLD HIM THE ISSUE, HE TOLD ME TO HAVE IT TOWED IN AND HE'D CHECK IT OUT. I FINALLY GOT IN CONTACT WITH THE TOWER AND PLANNED FOR HIM TO TOW IT FROM LOUIES PARKING LOT WHERE IT STOPPED WORKING AGAIN!! I WENT TO DROP THE KEYS OFF AT MY CAR AN IT STARTED SO I DECIDED HELL ILL KEEP DRIVING IT AND CANCELED THE TOW. I WENT TO WORK AND DROVE MY CAR LIKE NORMAL, WHEN I WENT TO LEAVE WORK IT DID IT AGAIN SO I CALLED ED AND TOLD HIM THE ISSUE HE TOLD ME HE EXPECTED ME THAT MONDAY BUT IT WAS LABOR DAY AND PREVIOUSLY HE TOLD ME HE'D NOT BE ABLE TO GET TO IT WILL WEDENSDAY OR SO. SO MY CAR WAS TOWED BY THE SAME COMPANY ON SEPTEMBER 8TH IN THE AM. I CALLED TO CHECK ON MY CAR AND HIS WIFE TOLD ME THEY WERE SHOCKED TO EVEN SEE IT, WHEN I SPOKE TO HER HUSBAND THE DAY BEFORE!! THEY LAC COMMUNICATION CLEARLY! I CALLED A FEW DAYS LATER TO GIVE HIM TIME TO LOOK AT MY CAR. THEY NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE WHEN I CALLED FROM MY PERSONAL PHONE, BUT ALWAYS SEEMED TO ANSWER WHEN I CALLED FROM OTHER NUMBERS. WHEN I FINALLY GOT A CALL FROM MR ED HUMES HE SAID HE HAD THE INCORRECT NUMBER FOR ME MIND YOU IVE BEEN DEALING WITH THEM SINCE JULY! HE TOLD ME HE RESET THE ISSUE BUT THAT I HAD MORE COMPUTER ISSUES THAT POPPED UP! HE WAS VERY INTO ME SELLING MY CAR TO GET THE PROBLEM OUT FROM UNDER ME, HE STRESSED ME SELLING MY CAR SO MUCH. MY CAR IS A GOOD CAR I TAKE CARE OF IT THE ISSUES IS COMMON WITH MY YEAR MAKE AND MODEL OF NISSAN BUT NOT BEING FIXED AFTER PAYING ALMOST 13000 IS CRAZY!! I CALLED BACK IN FORTH TRYING TO FIND OUT WHEN I COULD GET MY CAR AND HOW MUCH I OWED FOR TOWING. WHEN I CALLED FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 15TH TO ASK HOW MUCH IT WAS HIS WIFE "RECPT" WAS NOT AWARE OF HO W MUCH I OWED BUT I GAVE HER MY CAR NUMBER AND SHE STRESSED THEY WOULD CALL ME BEFORE THEY RAN MY CARD TO ADVISE ME OF THE AMOUNT. NOW I HAD HER TRYIG TO GET ME TO SELL MY CAR DUE TO THEY SUGGESTED I GET THE PROBLEM FROM OUT FROM UNDER ME AND THAT THEY HAD A FAMILY FRIEND WITH A CHILD ABOUT TO TURN 16. MY THOUGHT WAS WEIRD "A FAMILY FRIEND"AND YOU WANT TO GIVE A NEW DRIVER WHO JUST TURNED 16 A CAR THAT'S " SO BAD THAT YOU ARE STRESSING TO ME I NEED TO SELL MY CAR". SO I NOTICED MY CARD HAD BEEN CHARGED SO I CALLED MRS.HUMES AND SHE THOUGHT HER HUSBAND HAD CALLED ME. HE DID NOT !! SO THEY CHARGED ME 229 THIS TIME FOR TOWING MIND YOU THE LOCATION PICK UP FOR MY CAR WAS CLOSER THEN THE FIRST TIME THEY PICKED IT UP AND CHARGED ME $185. ALSO THEY CHARGED ME $15 TO RUN MY CARD OVER THE PHONE, BUT I DID NOT GET OFF WORK TIL 3:30 AND THEY CLOSE AT 5 BUT WERENT GOING TO BE AT THE OFFICE WHICH I THOUGHT WAS TRULY SOMETHING I SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN CHARGED FOR DUE TO THEIR BUSINESS HOURS ARE 8-5PM. I PICKED MY CAR UP FRIDAY AROUND 4:45PM I LEFT WITH THE KEY LIGHT ON. I DROVE MY CAR TO TULSA LATER THAT EVENING, DROVE BACK TO MOORE OK SUNDAY. MONDAY SEPTEMBER 18TH I WENT TO LEAVE FOR WORK THAT MORNING AND MY CAR WOULD NOT START AGAIN!!!!! SO I SPOKE WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU THIS MORNING, AND I WILL BE TAKING MY CAR TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AFTER WASTING 1500.00 WITH THIS COMPANY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MAN!!!

I had a safe dial changed. The old one lasted me about ten years. The dial that they changed it to went out 2 days after the install. I called to say I couldn't get in my safe. Got a call back the next day saying that I had changed the safe code and just forgot what I changed it to and the dials just don't fail like that. I tried several more times to get in the safe and was able to open it. I took a video on my phone and sent it to them showing that sometimes the safe will open and sometimes it won't. Got a call back the next day saying that we had spilled water on the dial. This was complete speculation because they would never come out and actually look at the dial. This thing cost me several hundred dollars to replace the first time and they would not take responsibility for their product. They offered to come out and replace the dial, at my expense of course. It took over a day each time to get a call back. I was out of a safe for 2 weeks. The vibe I get is that a lot of locksmiths are over worked here in the city. There aren't very many to meet the demand. There is no need to do the right thing and take care of the customer when something goes wrong because there's so much other work to be done. This company fits that model. I'm not saying Ed Humes is a terrible locksmith, I've used them before with no issues. But if something goes wrong with the product they install, they will not take care of you, pain and simple. I've been using Rogers Locksmith. Great customer service. You get a call back the same day. Work done on the safe hasn't failed yet.

My car key came out of it's housing so I bought a shell on Amazon. Tom Humes cut the new key for me extremely fast and at an affordable price. Very satisfied!

This locksmith company is a joke. I am trying to get a key for my car and this company not only gave me a run around more then 5 hours but its employee gave me wrong information that he is at the location where we needed help and had the audacity to send my phone calls to voice mail to later find out the manager/owner had NO IDEA we had even put in an order for a key and that we had been waiting for countless hours for nothing since they "had no control of the situation". I called this morning and they again another run around asking that they are on the location in 15 minutes, to find out again that they are now where near to me. Not know why such companies running this locksmith business when they don't know anything and make customers fools. They have very very poor and horrible customer service, they don't know which order need to do first and which to do next, they are totally disturbed and not know what they are doing, I want from everyone after reading my this review do not hire them please they just waste your time. If there is facility here to give them reviews in negative I will give them negative stars.

I called and asked how much for a new Prius key. They said I would have to bring it in to get a quote and no, they wouldn't just give me a price range over the phone. So I dropped by and finally found the place (NO signage) only to find a locked door. I rang the bell (once) and nothing happened, so I called. I was told by the person who answered that they were out on a job that they only see people in the morning by appointment. I mentioned that their Website said they were open till 5. She basically said she was on a job so she was at work wasn't she? I hung up. At home someone called me back a few minutes later, I thought to apologize, but he started with " I hear you need a locksmith and was outside our shop banging on our door." I told him my story and what I wanted - to which he replied " well we would have told you that we only make appointments in the morning". "No, you're person told me to bring in my key" " Nah, we always tell people to make a morning appointment" "If you told me that, why would I have shown up!" I hung up. If that's how they treat people trying to give them business, what is it like at their complaints department? They could not have been less professional. Or nice.

I stopped by one morning to see if they could help me out (lost my only key to a cabinet). I had seen the hours google posted for them but it did not reflect that they see people by appointment at the shop in the mornings. Fortunately for me, they were there & were able to make a new key for the cabinet. Very helpful & will use them again.

My insurance service for lockout was already delaying by another hour, so I needed to find a solution to meet my appointment schedule. Ed Hume's Locksmith showed up in 15 minutes, and was very quick. The price was a bit higher than even a weekend rate from a previous experience but rapid service.

I would give zero stars! I was a walk in, not realizing they are by appt only. I told the very rude lady working the front desk after reading the sign about appt only that I was sorry I didn't realize, but if they had time I would appreciate them cutting 2 keys. After a ridiculous display of huffing and puffing by said rude lady she aquiessed with much reluctance. At this point I should have taken my keys and walked out, but I was there and needed my keys cut. The rude locksmith took my keys and was gone for all of 3 minutes. When he returned, he tossed the keys on the counter and told me it would be $20. I felt like this was outrageous to cut 2 keys, but he had already cut them so there wasn't much I could do. I will never use Ed Humes again and I would never recommend him to anyone else! They extremely rude and over charge!!

I lost the key that starts my car. I have lived in Edmond many years and have always heard good things about Humes Locksmith, so I called them. They were very fast, friendly and courteous. I hope I never lose a key again, but if I do I will certainly call Humes Locksmith.
