I went there to cut a key for a 2007 Honda Civic. I called before asking how much it will cost; they told me $25. When the key was ready and I wanted to pay they charged me $45 , telling me that I didn't understand good on the phone. I know what I heard on the phone and 25 doesn't sound nowhere near like 45. They just took advantage of the fact that I didn't ask the price when I walked in the door. Stay away. Follow up to the locksmiths answer to my review: 1. I've never said that nobody else would want to cut the key; only the local Honda dealership refused because they want you to buy the key from them at a ridiculous price. 2. The original key was not broken, it was detached from the original plastic key fob, which is a very, very common occurrence with Honda keys. 3. They finished cutting the key at 5:50 PM , 10 minutes before closing time. And the most important thing is that I'm not stupid; when you say $25 doesn't sound nothing like $45, and calling around other places, $25 is the standard price. It's not my fault that they don't have the proper equipment to cut the key the right way from the first try. I'm not the first customer with this kind of complaints, they use a bait and switch technic , thinking that we the customers are stupid and will swallow everything they say. Shame on you snap&crack

I had a poor experience with Snap & Crack Locksmith. On Monday (Oct 2, 2017) I called their Worthington store as it was the closest (20 minutes). I asked if they could make a duplicate Honda key. After providing the year and model they indicated yes, and provided the cost which was reasonable. Communications was difficult as the locksmith person barely spoke English. On Tue (Oct 3, 2017) I arrived at the Worthington store, only to find a vacant storefront. I called the listed telephone number and was informed that this key could only be duplicated in their Whitehall store (another 20 minutes away). I sarcastically asked this English-speaking person if the Whitehall store was open today—and he indicated, yes it is. When arriving at the Whitehall store I was greeted with a locked door and a sign saying be back in 20 minutes. After waiting 25 minutes I left—never to return! Being one of the only locksmiths in Columbus, this business is their to lose—and they are doing a fine job of that.

Had key cut for my Subaru, once programmed I noticed lights flashing on the dashboard, I had to take it To Byers Subaru to get it fixed, once the key that they cut and programmed was removed from the system all the lights went back to normal. Contacted Snap Jack and explained what happened all they wanted to do was cut another key and program it into the system, which Subaru explained was the problem. They refused to refund the 145.00 they charged me, which it also cost 131.00 at Subaru.. I’d be real careful doing business with this company, they are dishonest and do not know what they are doing. They should have their lincense to locksmith revoked...

DON'T TRUST their price on the phone. I called several people for the price. This was the cheapest if I visit their site. I drove 20 miles to the E Broad st location for Honda Accord 2008 key copy on 11/26/2018. They charged me double the price given on the phone. For lesser price others would give service at my place.

Just had a duplicate key made there. Price quoted on phone was different than after the key was made. Almost 3 times more. I wanted a exact duplicate of a master key that I had already (has remote which opens and locks doors). When I spoke with them about the difference, they said they asked me if it had a remote. That is not true. I know that since I wanted an exact copy of what I already had. I know that this was a misunderstood situation but they made no effort to remedy the situation. I drove from 1 1/2 hours away to Have this key made. At their price I could have gone to the dealer for a similar price. Anyway, the moral of the story is make very sure that what you are buying is understood by both you and this shop. The people working there were nice and very professional. I can say that even with the issue I had.

This place is not where you wanna go and get keys made. I needed a copy off a car key and they quoted me a price. He goes and does the key and as he's doing it, he goes "oh it's gonna be $20 more". It wasn't okay with me, but he had made my key so what could I do? If I didn't pay he would say I'm not paying for the service. Very caniving. Then he couldn't get it to fit in my car correctly. Went back and forth to my car probably 5 or 6 times. Took them near an hour for something that takes no longer than 15 minutes at the most. Then they charged me more money cuz he said they had to do more to get it done. Was near $90, when I was originally quoted around $25. Taking full advantage and ripping people off to make money .
