Do not do business with these guys, they damaged my trucks ignition cylinder which caused the automatic locks to cycle continually they refused to refund after they messed up my truck now I’m out $463.30 for two keys and shotty labor, DO NOT USE THIS LOCKSMITH.

They were completely nice and professional, but horrible at explaining things. I was told on the phone there is a $19 house call fee, then $35 to unlock the door. When I was called back, I was told it might be a little more depending on the type of door. After showing up, already owing the $19 from him showing up, he said it will actually be $129. I had to get in the house, so I said fine. Then he pulls out a drill and completely destroys my door knob. I really wish I would have been told this would happen. Then he said the $129 was in addition to the $54. So after taxes we're looking at almost $200. Then he says he'll replace the door knob for $60. I was beside myself.

The service I received was exceptional. I called at 10 am ,the dispatcher was lovely and very professional .They were at my door within 30 minutes . The gentleman who came by was very knowledgeable and gave me a great price on a new lock for my front door. I highly recommend Dayton Locksmith to anyone in need of a new lock or anything to do with locks .

This company just charged my wife over $260 to drill a hole in a single deadbolt. Locksmith unable to pick lock, drills it out, charges $260. Are you serious? That's highway robbery. In-and-out within an hour of the initial call. DO NOT do business with these people. Please.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! i called these guys for a week trying to get my car serviced cause it isn't mobile. Finally the guy came and he made my key to my car he told me the key was finished and programed. So I paid the 200$ fee we had agreed upon. I had another company come out and check out the key cause the car wouldn't start and the man from the other company said the key hadn't been programed. I called the technician and he said he would come a fix it free of charge and he claimed he told me he didn't program it! The technician changed his phone number and never showed up. I called the company and he said the issue would be resolved and to give him 15min to get a hold of his technician. I called back an hour later and he gave me the same line. I kept calling and he said" this is why the technician probably hasn't responded cause you call his phone every 30 secs" keep in mind I already paid for the service and THE REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE COMPANY HUNG UP ON ME! I have called every day for the past week and have got nothing but ignored calls and hung up on when I mention the situation.... Terrible... I took 200$ that I didn't have to get this key in hopes of being able to sell my car and now I have been left high and dry with no Awnser!

This company are thefs, my car door locked, and I called asked for price the stupid man sad it’s cost only $86 . After they unlock the door the man gave me an invoice with $318 to sign and he put 2 pricess 96 and 318 . They are crazy. when I refuse to pay and I said I’m calling the police he said if u don’t want the services, I’ll lock the door again and that what I accept. He refuse to give me both copies of the invoice, and droves his car while I was talking to him by his door

Called so many companies today. Needed a new key made for my 03 explorer. All ranging from $160-$195. Got a hold of this company, John gave me a estimate of $160. He showed up at 7:30pm remade me a new key in less than 15 minutes. He knew what he was doing, worked fast and was friendly with my little guy(4) who stood over John like a creep lol

Called around 7:30am because my keys were locked in my car. Someone didn’t arrive until 10:45am after we waited for 3 hours, only for them to have the audacity to charge $212! Ridiculous. Don’t call them.

$170 for them to spend less then 30 seconds unlocking my car. Although they answered my call and came to my location in a timely fashion (35 min) , I asked for an estimate over the phone and the guy said he didn’t know that “it depends” and he could give me an estimate when he arrived before unlocking the car.. he shows up, gets out of his car without saying a word , gets his tools and pops open my door with ease- without me having any clue on how much it will cost. It would have been nice to know it was going to cost $170 before he provided services because I would have declined !!!! I’m sorry but that is a ridiculous price! Will not use again!!

Firstly, I'd advise that if you're looking for a locksmith, to go elsewhere. I called them, and asked for an estimate to rekey two locks of my condo. They couldn't provide me with an estimate. I said, "okay, come out and see, and give me an estimate." The guy got here and started looking at the locks - then HE STARTED REKEYING WITHOUT GIVING ME AN ESTIMATE. Turned out to be $370. Absolutely insane. When I tried to call them to get them to explain WHY it was such a large amount, they kept bouncing my phone call. WORST COMPANY EVER.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I cant give them any less stars for their service... This was absolutely terrible service. I called on the phone and got a quote for $39 per lock to get them all keyed to 1 key. Then the technician shows up 1.5 hours LATE! I show him the doors and he comes back and charges me $240 for 3 locks...OUTRAGED, i tell him now way i am paying that price. So i ask him what he is charging me for. He tells me some of the locks are "Special" and cost double, and the other 2 doors didnt have an original key so that cost extra because they had to put new cylinders in it to be able to key it correctly.....However, NONE OF THOSE EXTRA CHARGES WERE COMMUNICATED TO ME BEFORE THEY WERE DONE. This is the wrong way to do business... Called the main office to dispute the charges and the guy said "Just pay for it and we will look at it later"...NOPE. Fix it, and i will pay it now. ON TOP OF ALL THAT, the tech had the nerves to tell me he was late for another appointment and he had to go, so he didnt have time to deal with it. SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN 1.5 HOURS LATE!! TERRIBLE SERVICE

Called @ 5am (unfortunately was waiting for them to open) and homever I spoke with took down my address and name (not my phone number, but maybe had caller ID) and told me he would find an available technician then call me right back. Needless to say he NEVER called back!!!! Flat out RIDICULOUS.... I'd rather been told no one was available then sit around for hours and wait on nothing. Pathetic company

I lost the keys to my car and requested a remake. I called last night and was told they could not help until today. I called today at 10am. I gave them my information and was told a technician would contact me shortly. I called again after 30 minutes of not hearing anything and was told they would call the technician and call back. I did not receive a call back and overall waited about 3 hours before the technician even called me. He called at 12:50 in the afternoon and said he was about 20 minutes away from where I was located. However, after not hearing from anyone since then, here it is going on 4pm, I was told they're about 30 minutes away. I would definitely not recommend this company if you're planning on getting your problem resolved any time soon. completely dissatisfied. The technician showed up around 4:15 and told me that a new key for my car would cost me $347 after I had been quoted over the phone for $130. COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED and DO NOT recommend. unless you would like to be completely screwed over.

I am furious! at you all. I was quoted over the phone at 120$ for the code, 80$ for my key. They said it could go up maybe 20$ depending on service. They got here and they charged an extra 120$!? For a code and for something else? WHAT THE HELL. This costed me 350$ TOTAL!, They told me over the phone chevrolet would of ran me 600$!. I went to chevy and dropped my car off to get repairs and they LAUGHED and said they would of charged 40$! WHAT THE HELL! I'm demanding some form of repayment or something. The ONLY thing that was semi-decent were the two people who came out they were late. However they were nice. But that does not excuse this GROSS overcharge of nonsense.

My husband called at 10:30am for someone to come look at our vehicle ignition problem and received a call back at 11am from a technician saying he’d be out soon. At 1245 the technician called back and said he’d be here within an hour but at 3pm he still hadn’t showed up so we called and was told he was on his way. At 5:15pm the technician called claiming he had been having vehicle problems and now had to take care of a family issue and the earliest he could come would be 9pm. We canceled the service call and will never consider this company ever again. We wasted the entire day, thank goodness we were at home rather than stranded on the side of the road.

Great service! The Dayton Locksmith Technician was really nice and installed my new deadbolt in no time flat. He also had to let me into my apartment when he arrived since I accidentally locked myself out while going to meet him at the entrance to my building (oops!). Will definitely use Dayton Locksmith in the future!
