I have fought with a very difficult deadbolt for nearly 10 years. Replacing the lock is costly because of the way it’s cut into the door. When I finally had enough of fighting the lock, I took it to Ellis’ where a gentleman replaced a few parts. Turning the lock is now absolutely effortless. Wish I had done that sooner.

On a night when other "24 hour" services weren't available, Ellis was able to respond to my voicemail and help me out. They were very friendly and professional. I felt very safe as they are a family-run business and I knew that my workplace uses them frequently. The charge was reasonable, considering I was way out in the county and it was a holiday night. They take debit/credit on the spot. I hope I don't have to call them again myself, but I would recommend them to anyone in the Spartanburg area.

The most dishonest business that I’ve ever had the displeasure of interacting with. If you’re looking for a business to rip you off at the first chance they get, then this is the place for you. I called them for a quote to make a new key for my 18-year old pickup truck. They quoted me at $80, which seemed very reasonable. However when they saw me arrive at the shop driving my new Mercedes, the price for my truck’s new key magically jumped to $140 (a 75% price hike). Seriously? Unfortunately I needed the key ASAP, so I begrudgingly paid the extra cost for the sake of moving on with my day. As I sat there waiting, a gentleman entered the shop requesting a new key for his 2-year old luxury sedan, which included a remote key fob and new chip. His price? $150—only $10 more than my 18-year old truck’s key which doesn’t require any chip or re-programming. These people aren’t here to help you. They’re here to rob you blind. Don’t make the same mistake as I did—avoid this business at all costs!
