When I placed the call for help, I was advised of the cost for the visit but they would not quote the price for the job. They said it varied from car to car and could only be advised by the technician. Technician arrived in a quick amount of time and unlocked my car within 5 minutes for which I was grateful. He was polite. My mobile was locked in the car too, so I had borrowed a neighbor's phone to make the call. In hindsight, I would have asked to use their phone long enough to check out a couple of locksmiths. The technician said he would have to use a compressor (or something like that) which was a more complex procedure. That was why it would be $160. In layman terms, it was two bags with tubing and a bulb to squeeze to inflate them. That created enough space between the window and frame to insert a wire to unlock the car. By charging the service call fee and refusing to quote rates for the job until arrival, they have you in an unfavorable position. They also charged a $7.56 "convenience fee" because I paid with a credit card. This charge did not appear on the receipt, but was charged. Only way to avoid the charge would have been to pay in cash. So, the total for this misadventure was $196.56. IMHO, not a good deal.

He was very punctual and it took him less then 10 minutes to open my car and make me a extra copy ! Dealership wanted me to tow my car and pay around $80 for just the key and way over $100 to program it but with him I payed wayyyy less ! TOTALLY RECOMMEND!

I unfortunately locked my keys in my car while I was at work. While I do understand it was my complete fault, I do believe it was ridiculous for them to charge me $165 dollars when it took the guy 45 seconds to unlock my car. No exaggeration. Although the technician was very nice, the man who I originally spoke to on the phone was very rude and the business from start to finish was unprofessional. They also charged me an additional $5 for an inconvenience fee??? Not even sure what that is and they definitely couldn’t tell me. I was surprised by how quick it took him to unlock my car, but very upset about the price.

Absolute Ripoff. I paid $475 for a replacement fob for my car. Yesterday (approx. 3 weeks later) the fob stops working (after even replacing batteries). I live in Greensboro, so this is a big problem. Josh (the owner) never indicated that he had a no refund policy, and there was no written agmt. He refuses to grant a refund, but has offered to come fix it. I don't need poor work done twice, I need a key . If you need a key fob replaced and you value your time and money, go to your manufacturer or dealership. I wish I did.

Car type: 2010 Acura TSX Problem: 1] Keys locked in trunk; 2] No spare key that works (thanks to a bad locksmith); 3] Trunk button disabled (always used key fob; discovered after incident) I'm not going to sugar coat this.... Josh is BY FAR the best locksmith in the area. The whole entire Cary, Apex, Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill area. I locked my key in my trunk while doing laundry (dropped from the pile of clothes in my arms) and AFTER calling, waiting for hours, meeting with TWO other locksmiths, and watching them fail.... I called Josh and he was done in less than 30 MINUTES!!!! People, it was over 90 degrees at 3:56pm on Saturday, and this is supposed to be my first day of work at a PT job. Management told me I could come in on Monday, but because I called DKNY LOCKSMITH I finally got to work at 5pm. Life is good when you have the right people on your team. He's smart, and a genuinely chill guy who is quick to help. Dont ever call anyone else unless you have no other option. Seriously. Save yourself the headache.
