Strictly speaking, this location is not open 24hrs. Their actual hours are posted on the door. If you need a key made at 6:30am and it is not an emergency, it would be helpful to know this. Other similar businesses have their regular store hours posted online and a phone number for 24-hr emergency service. I should not have to call to determine your store’s hours. That is what the Internet is for.

Its a classic bait and switch. $500 to replace a lock is literally a joke. They tell you a lower price before they start working and raise it after the work is complete.

Moved into new place in the city and needed a new deadbolt. Called Mr. Lock and spoke with a very helpful lady on the phone (didn't catch name) she explained the options and had someone out to meet me after work. They could have done it immediately if I was available. The person they dispatched, Haran, was quick, helpful and answered any questions I had. I asked my daughter to find me a decent locksmith to get me of the inconvenienced situation. 15 minutes later a young gentleman showed up with his truck, very nice guy. He quoted me a very fair price and in less than 2 minutes he was able to open my Range Rover! Clearly someone that just writes fake reviews for money. There are also clusters of reviews occurring during specific time frames. Real reviews would be spread out over time. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE CROOKS!!! Want to read a REAL review? See below! My housing coop bought an intercom and security camera system from this company. The install of the security camera system went well, and had no problems in the beginning. The install of the intercom went horrible. The technician was rude. Their installation was sloppy and not even consistent with the level of installation the same company had done for the security camera system. They made extra holes in our metal work that they never filled in. They didn't terminate their conduit piping. The intercom they installed NEVER worked correctly. They would not honor their 1 year warranty. They claimed that it was our fault for picking an intercom that wasn't their recommended intercom. Yet they had no problem selling us this intercom they "didn't recommend" for a markup and making a profit on it! I spent a year trying to deal with the company with the owner trying to convince me to buy the recommended intercom (again at a markup). Ultimately I had to go through the intercom manufacturing company to get anything accomplished. 1.5 years later and the intercom is still not working properly. My company paid money for a working intercom system and never got one! Now my security cameras have just come out of their 1 year warranty, and they are starting to fail. I contacted the company and they want me to buy a new camera from them at a markup. For the security cameras I ONLY used the models they recommended. So they don't have that excuse this time. But they are holding firm to the fact that the camera is out of warranty. Despite the fact that I didn't pay $10,000 for a security camera system that would only last one year. The DVR soon died. I went direct through the manufacturer to get this fixed...twice. It still doesn't work! We also have interference for all the video lines. Do NOT deal with this company. They will not honor their contracts. They will sell you crap merchandise. And then when it breaks they will try to convince you to buy more crap merchandise from them! UPDATE: 5 years after initial security camera install, 2 cameras have died, 2 coax lines no longer work, and the DVR possibly needs to be replaced. The new company said it was do to using non UL coax, and cheap crappy no name cameras.

Terrible. I called to have a single sided deadbolt installed on a very expensive hollow steel door for my boss. I already had the deadbolt just called for the install. Seems easy enough right? Well The tech tells me the single sided deadbolt wont work and next thing i know he drills a hole in both sides of the door!! Exactly what i didn't want to happen for appeal reasons. Then has the decency to charge me $450 for the double sided deadbolt he happened to have on hand. So i paid $450 for a scam and now have to have the door replaced for my boss. Not to mention he frequently kept leaving the premise to get more tools. A 30min job turned into 2hrs. Never again will I call this company!!

I highly recommend Mr. Locks. They are responsive and really know their business. My lock was broken such that I couldn't shut my door. The super in my building was not responsive. Locked myself out of my apartment building in Midtown... That feeling when you close the door and know you forgot something... Worst feeling ever! Luckily a technician from Mr Locks came to help me within half an hour, so I was only 5 minutes late for work. The service that Mr locks offered was very good. Really kind employees. They quoted me a start price of $59. I was able to access both doors to the building and the lock was merely the doorknob push lock that needed to be open. I was also quoted 15-20 minutes arrival time which turned into 75 minutes. When he arrived he then told me that there was a service call fee of $50 and $110 to open the door. I was appalled. Since I was on a time crunch I had no choice and kindly let the locksmith know that this was an exorbitant amount of money for he most simple lock. He agreed and charged me $160 for 3 minutes anyway. Call someone else!!!!! What a rip off

7 years ago there was a fire in my building. 5 floors beneath me. The firemen came up and knocked my door down. Ever since the door was replaced I've had problems with my door and locks not working right. They were too loose or too tight. Screws kept falling off the handles. I was so frustrated. Then MR LOCKS moved across the street from my building. I walked across the street and told them my problems and in minutes he walked across the street with me and analyzed the problems. He was back in 10 minutes and fixed all the issues. They are so nice, so knowledgeable, so professional. I was really impressed. The estimate was fair and if I have any issues they will come back. I am so glad they moved to my neighborhood. I can't say enough great things about them. If you have any lock or security needs go see MR Locks first. You won't be disappointed.

Very unprofessional. It was 1:30 in the morning and my key to my apartment got stuck in the lock. The first time I called, someone told me that someone would be here shortly. I called 20 minutes later for an update, and she told me that they were delayed and would be here 20 minutes later. I called 25 minutes after that, and no answer. I called several times. Now no one is picking up, no one has shown up to my apartment, and it’s been an hour since I called. Do not waste your time calling this place.

I needed my deadbolt to be replaced on my apartment door, I called Mr Locks. The guy answered the phone was nice and explained to me what are my options, I scheduled an appointment for 05:00PM, same day and the technicians came right on time. The technician suggested high security lock (I like the idea to be more secured), he had the installation done quickly and the lock works great! I needed more keys the tech went back to the store and came back in 30 min with the extra key copies. Very impressive!!! I recommend on them.

Yesterday's experience was exceptional because of Yair- he has 18 yrs of professional history and in 2 hrs changed our commercial door lock system and saved us from purchasing 2 new handle systems by using existing parts. He matched all the keys and spent time confirming and reconfirming the request to ensure we knew what we were getting. At $185 an hour he is worth it. Avi in the office is also helpful in answering questions and getting the right information out. You need to manage and ask lots of questions, but the talent of Yair was worth it!

I've been trying to get a car key and they not only gave me a run around for 4 hours+ but an incompetent "employee" named Oscar gave us false information stating that he would be at the location that we needed him for and had the audacity to send my phone calls to voice mail to later find out the manager/owner had NO IDEA we had even put in an order for a key and that we had been waiting for countless hours for nothing since they "had no control of the situation". Called this morning and yet AGAIN another run around stating that they would be at the location in 30 min to find out YET AGAIN that they are nowhere near. I don't know if this is how they run their business but this was infuriating and poor customer service as well as horrible order of prioritizing.

Luckily, Yaron (I think he's the owner -- he's a bald guy who seems to run the place) was still there doing some after-hours work. Just received service. Even though I an highly grateful for Mr. Locks getting me into my apartment. I have to say as a business owner who has been in the customer service field for over 10 years. This has been one of the worst experiences, I has in a long time. I called their office at 9:45pm and was given a quote $59 and up; with a wait time between 20-25minutes. After 20 minutes, I received a call from a man with a Russian accent; asking me if I called for lock service. After confirming my address, he told me he would be at my house in 25 minutes. I asked how come because the representative at the office linsey said she 25 minutes max. I called back their office and spoke to the same representative and told her about the additional wait. Before hanging up, I asked if they accepted credit cards; she said yes both credit cards and cash. The tech got to my house at 10:30pm. I explained to him that the slam lock was on to the bottom lock only. He then kept twisting my door knob, til the point he loosened it and was twisting it 360 degrees. He then told me, he had to drill in the cylinder because my door knob was loose and the L key was stuck. I told him it wasn't and I knew there was nothing wrong with my door knob because previous to his arrival, I was trying to break into my apartment by sliding a card between the lock and door. I asked him, if he could just pick it he said no because of the door knob being loose and saying something about my cylinder. I couldn't understand him because he was talking fast, and every time, I asked him what he said. He would repeat his self and drill in the cylinder at the sametime. He again, sounded like he had an attitude and was annoyed with me asking questions when all I wanted to know was what he possible solution was to fix the situation. He was having some trouble with drilling the cylinder and became frustrated and aggregated. Again, I asked me if he could just kept pick the lock he kept saying no. After he finally opened removed the cylinder. He told me the total was $125. I checked the L key and twisted the knob and it opened my door. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY DOOR KNOB! I showed him and he made up another excuse to drilling in my lock. I double confirmed with the tech, if he accepted credit cards. He said NO, That they only take cash for emergency and late night service. I only had about $50 in cash in me at the time. I told the tech that, I wasn't told that over the phone and why wasn't I told that in advance. So, I called the office and spoke to the rep and asked her again if they accepted credit card? The tech caught an attitude and asked why I was calling the office and not to talk to the rep to only talk to him. I then, continued speaking to the rep and explained the situation. She again said that they do accept credit cards and asked to speak to the tech. I gave the tech the phone and the rep and tech starts to argue on the phone. The tech then handed me back the phone and asked for my card with no apology or nothing for the miscommunication. I asked the REO if I could split the bill between cask and credit. She said yes. I hung up and then noticed that the tech was putting my card number in his phone. I then asked him, what he was doing and he said he was sending it to another rep who would charge my card. I became annoyed because he didn't explain the payment process to me and one would assume the company would have a credit card swiper. After he sent my credit card information to whomever because he never told me the rep name who would be charging my card. I asked him, if he had change. He said no, which made me annoyed because even if I was to pay with cash he had no change. He asked me to go with him to the store to get change. Which made me even more annoyed because it was going on midnight and everything as closed. He ran my card and said it was declined. I had to show him my account balance because he didn't want to run my card again. They ran it again, it went through. Overall I was I er charged and he didn't have to destroy my lock.

I've used Mr Locks now a few times - great, until you have a problem. Locksmiths are well organised and come on time - within 24hours normally. Recent experience was a $95 charge as the lock that was fitted came loose within 9 months of having it fixed. Since the last one they fitted lasted 6 years - I would say conservatively this isn't how it was supposed to be. Mr Locks only guarantee their work for 3 months - so this is a HEFTY bill for 15 mins for the man to come, deduce what is wrong and fix. WOW.

Thank you to Lesley and the entire crew at Mr. Lock, who repaired the deadbolt and replaced the door at my daughter's apartment. It was an absolute pleasure and considerable relief to know that my daughter was being treated with such courtesy and attention during this entire process. When I called originally, early on a Saturday morning, the staff arranged for the lock to be repaired that day. The service professional who did the work was friendly and efficient. Today the door was installed, and the serviceman even fixed the door handle latch, which had never worked properly on the previous door. Lesly went above and beyond, fielding my daughter's phone calls and quickly responding at the bitter end, when the apartment management needed proof of insurance and specs on the door. I just moved into a new apartment and had 2 locks changed. Had a great experience with these guys. I was able to schedule an appointment the next day, they came at the scheduled time and got the job done in 10 minutes. Oriah, the technician, was really professional and kind. They charge $135 for an hour of labor plus cost of the locks. Would definitely recommend them and will definitely call them again when in need.

I went to Mr. Lock last week in search of a lock for my new entry door. There was one young lady store clerk who knew absolutely nothing about locks or doors. She informed me that the manager was in the back of the store on a phone call. She then asked me to email her a description of the door, upon which I did at that moment. I waited about 10 mins for the manager to come from the back to assist me. The manager never showed his face. while waiting another customer came in to get a key made only for the clerk to tell him that they don't have the particular key he needed(basic door key). After the other customer left, the clerk then went to the back of the store, which is behind a wall with recording cameras and a tv screen showing the entire store. I can assume based on the business that the manager had a monitor in the back of the store to see everything that was happening. the clerk then returned only to tell me the manage will give me a call. Needless to stay I never received a call or response to my email. Either this business is a joke or they only serve a certain type! and to think they actually have a sign on the desk asking customers to leave them a google review. Well they got it!
