Waited until they told me they couldn’t make my key. I asked them if they knew of anywhere nearby that could (I was desperately needing a key before I left for the airport), to which they responded “nowhere in midtown.” I pushed a little saying I’m sure someone in midtown could...then dismissively they were like “nope! Go ask your building.” Literally one block over at S & P they could. Now I Have two new sets of keys in mere mins. Do yourself a favor and go to 47th St at S & P Locksmith where they are friendly and fast!

Came in to get copies of keys made and purchase a few combination locks and the guy was incredibly rude and practically told me that he didn’t have time to assist me in getting the correct key... He seemed annoyed and was taking it out on me. I was in the store for 6 minutes for something that would have taken less than 10 minutes to do. I would have gladly come back at later time if needed. The store wasn’t busy and only had one other customer.

Went there to get a few keys made and I was attended to immediately. My keys were made in a matter of minutes. An older man identified himself as the owner and an 'American Jew' and also mentioned that he has been there for close to 40 years. We started off having a good conversation BUT his racial under tones was unacceptable! There was no need for me to hear how 'Blacks or African Americans' had no business being in 'that area' in the 40's and how it was a 'taboo' and unacceptable if there were interracial marriages. This all after I mentioned that I was in an interracial marriage. Of course he said this with a smile on his face, so that I wouldn't get offended, but none-the-less, I was a little upset but kept a smile on my face and kept my cool. Sir, some advice, just greet and serve your customers like you started doing. NO ONE wants to hear how 'we" wasn't accepted in your work neighborhood 40 years ago! I'm not sure why you would even say something like that? Where did that come from?? It was totally offensive and I didn't need to hear this on my lunch break! I hear a lot of this nonsense on the news daily from enough bigots. You had NO idea who I was or if I had different nationalities within my own family. Just make the keys and keep it professional. Never talk politics and religion at work or with customers. You are an older man and should know better! I'm giving 2 stars because the service was quick, but was served with a bit of prejudice that was unexpected and DEFINITELY not welcomed! I would not recommend this locksmith for this reason.

DON'T SHOP HERE. May try and cheat you, horrible service. They quoted $10.00 to make two copies of my house key. When they came back they said $10 A PIECE, which is NOT what they said. When I protested, they insisted they were right. At best, even if I DID misunderstand them, they were absolutely awful in addressing my concern or even admitting they may have misspoke. At worse, they are cheating people by intentionally being vague and then charging a higher price. Given how horribly they treated me, I don't put it past them they are cheating people.

Not that I’ve ever been to a hardware where the male employees weren’t condescending to me, but the guy at this place went above and beyond making me feel uncomfortable. Don’t go here if you’re in a rush or want to stay in a good mood.

Extremely rude, not helpful. I suspect this business won't be around long if this is a typical experience. Called in to ask about a specific pivot hinge. I asked if they had it in stock and if I could come take a look at the hinge - I need a bunch of them for a tight-space application. Over the phone, the guy demanded I buy it before looking at it because he "didn't have time" for someone who wants to look. Guess I'll look and buy somewhere else.
