I am new to leaving reviews but felt compelled this time. About 2 months ago, I called Twin City to replace all the locks in my multi-unit property. The worker who came out was polite and respectful in our text and face to face interactions. However, he had to come out at least 3 times to fix mistakes or oversights. According to one of my annoyed tenants, this worker also left an old knob and lock set on the tenant's porch instead of taking it with him. A bit odd but not a huge issue.
What has made the overall interactions with this company particularly upsetting to me were the interactions on the phone with "Don". Each phone discussion seemed as though Don were doing me a favor and cared less about my concerns. Here are 2 examples;
1) Earlier I wrote that the worker had to come out 3 times. One of those times I was charged a labor fee. I tried to speak with Don telling him that I should not be charged as it was not my responsibility. His response was "it's not my responsibility either". I thought that spending more than 400 dollars on the work would have granted me a bit more support. Not!
2) I recently ordered extra keys so the tenants could use the basement.. Neither key worked. I left a message Thursday evening with my concern. After 12 hours of not hearing back, I called and Don answered. I asked if he got my message. He said yes but nothing else. After what seemed to be an inordinate amount of silence on his end, I stated "And...?" He then stated that he would have to see the keys. What really needs to happen is for a worker to come out to the house, look at the lock and then make the right copies. The odds of them not charging me for their mistake seems unlikely.
They seem to be the only locksmith in town and often when that happens, businesses seem to become a bit entitled and quality customer service fades.
