I wanted to write a review last year when I went to have my motorcycle key duplicated. The woman there was SO helpful. She cut a key that worked better than the worn out original I got with the used bike. She told me that I should use WD-40 in the key holes and NOT graphite like I had tried, (that only made it worse). Once I got my new key, and worked WD-40 into the ignition spot, I was finally able to lock my steering the way it's designed to! Traded in my bike for a newer cruiser this year and she cut another good key for me. Excellent service. I will always, and only, go here for keys.

What great customer service! I just called to schedule an appointment for my locks to be changed. My key was really sticky and it wouldn't go into the lock. Instead of scheduling the appointment Jim's Lock and Key told me to try WD40. I did that and the key works better then ever! Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't need them this time but will definitely call when I do.

I always feel comfortable any time I've gone to Jim's Lock and Key to get a key made for my house or auto. I've had them to my house to change my locks on all my doors and found their service very prompt and extremely reasonable!

I heard they were good so I went for spare keys to an old Subaru wagon. North End was unable to do them so I was excited when the woman behind the counter said she could. I got 3 keys and none of them worked completely. They could unlock one door but not the others and couldn’t lock any. They could start the car but was difficult removing key from ignition. I returned the next day and told the woman and she immediately had an attitude. She took a call and made me wait a while for her attention again. She blamed me for not bringing the car ( I supplied the key code) and said it was my problem . She wasn’t gonna give me my $$ back but did because I promised to never go back. My pleasure! I told her I was surprised they had been in business this long with that kind of attitude.

In the 25 years of owning homes throughout the area and using locksmiths to replace house and garage door locks this is hands down the worst experience I ever had. After discovering that only one of two garage doors remained locked after the job was completed and paid for, the owner blamed the door. At the very least a consumer would expect based on his 36 years of experience he did not have the skill set to complete the job that this would have been disclosed to the client prior to completing the work. Very unethical.

Needed duplicate automotive keys and programming from scratch. Not only were they able to program and duplicate the two fobs I provided, but their price to process both was substantially less than what the local dealer was asking for just one fob...WHAT A SAVINGS!!! Moreover, the owner went out of his way to help me troubleshoot a power issue with my car by providing jumper cables and starting my vehicle...in the rain! These folks are fantastic, attentive and very knowledgeable in their field. I would DEFINITELY do business with them again and highly recommend them for all your lock & key needs!!!

Jim's Lock and Key has the bestest and I mean the bestest business around they are something to strive for in having hospitality, honesty and fairness from anywhere I have ever been. They served me promptly, curious and very friendly. They opened a locked box that I had been searching for the key for weeks! They opened it in less than 2 minutes and it only cost me $10- I had called around locksmiths in the area and was quoted 5x as much. I strongly recommend this place to everyone. I wouldn't mind going out of the house if everyone was like the people at Jim's Lock and Key <3
