Best customer service ever. They have helped me when I have been locked out of my car and are as fast as it gets. He also offered to fix my door handle when he noticed it was broken when I was locked out. Honest and super friendly, and won't overcharge you. Paid a lot less than I was expecting for the door handle and he also had a new door key made.

Locked my keys in my car a little after 6:00 p.m. and gave ABC a call. Told me it would be about a 25 minute wait and cost $65 to unlock my car. He arrived on time, had no problem unlocking my car, but felt unprofessional. Since my car was outside a store, he brought someone with to do some shopping/drop off a redbox item while he unlocked my car. I wasn't paying for someone to go run an errand. This is something he should have done on his own time, or given me a discount since it coincided with having a reason to come to the same location as me. Update: Contacted owner and clarified the issue.

Called on Monday 8/29 was told that he would come the next day at 11AM. He never showed. I called him later in the day to follow up, he told me he did not have me on his schedule, says he will be here in about a half hour, did not show up again. I will call another locksmith!

I mean WOW!!! I locked my keys in my car and was distraught because it was getting late. I called at 9:30 on a Wednesday night and he was literally there in 10 minutes! I mean I felt like it was frickin Jimmy John's. I walked inside to grab my credit card as he was going to work and when I walked out he already had my door open! Super friendly guy, GREAT customer service! I will pass his info along and recommend him to anybody who inquires. Reasonably priced and offers many locksmith services beyond what i required. I FIRMLY recommend this guy! Also, he's local.

Matt could not be more professional or competent. My business requires me to work constantly with many different types of contractors, and ABC Lock & Key is as good as they come. Matt is punctual, fast, skilled and reasonably priced. I've had him do several different jobs for me, including setting up complicated systems involving master and submaster keys. Not only does he do an excellent job, but he has proposed very useful ideas on several occasions that I had not thought of. If you need a locksmith, you should definitely call ABC before anybody else.

After calling several other locksmiths in the area and having issues with them not dealing with cars that old, or them asking me to go to the dealership for some numbers, or having the wait be too long before someone was available to help, I ended up finding ABC Lock and Key. I called and a friendly sounding Gentleman (Matt Knopp) answered the phone, what made him stand apart from the other locksmiths is that he answered the phone, and said he'd be right on his way. The other locksmiths always had the people on the phone lines and then the people in the field, so I was happy about this right away, I always love supporting smaller businesses whenever possible. He drove out and arrived as quickly as possible and got right to work. He was knowledgeable and informative, and it was fun to watch him work. He is a swell guy that does his job well and efficiently, and his prices are on par if not better than the other locksmiths I talked to. Overall I am very satisfied with his work, and if I ever lock my keys in the trunk of my car again this is the person I'm going to call first!

On a Sunday evening I tragically locked my keys inside my vehicle with my grocery’s.. not to mention my precious ice cream. I called them and they said they would be there in 20min.. they came in 18min! Since it was the weekend it was $75 which I still think is a lot, but I have insurance so I can’t really complain. Asked for a quote to create a key from a VIN. He said he could make the key but it would need to be programmed. Quote was $225, $160 to make the key and the rest to program and I would have to deliver the car. Called Nissan and they said I didn't need a programmed key. They made me one for $5 and it works in the trunk, door and ignition. They didn't need the car, just the title. Thanks Nissan. Also, Nissan said that if I did need a key programmed, it would have cost around $100 all together. Sorry to leave this negative comment, but I was almost had, for $225 bucks.

I needed a new door lock for the bathroom. I have a very old house in the historic Hawthorne neighborhood. My garage was broken into last night, so I went online for a list of locksmiths in Fargo. ABC Lock & Key was rated the highest so I called at 9:15 this morning after I had contacted law enforcement. Matt was with another customer but said that he'd call me back in 10-15 minutes -- he called back within 5 minutes. I told him my situation and he said that he'd be over around 10:15 to 10:30. He arrived at 9:45, assessed the situation, installed a deadbolt on my garage service door and was done with the project BEFORE the time that he stated he would get to my house. He also didn't try to over-sell me on what I needed. FAST, PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGEABLE, FRIENDLY and EFFICIENT!!! I will definitely call Matt again when I need locksmith services! (P.S. My wife and I purchased an older home. We have sort of a double foyer at the front door and did not have keys so that we could properly lock the external set of doors. Matt showed up right away, polite and extremely professional. I expected to be buying new locks for that door and Matt could have easily sold me a new set.
