I like to support local businesses but this is why they are dying. I had keys made there twice. Both times they didn't work. Things happen , that's fine. The first time the owner kindly remade them and everything worked out. This time the women helping me ( not the owner or owner's wife ) was not qualified to be behind the counter. At first, she didn't want to refund me for all 3 keys made (one I had sent to L.A., that cost me $4) because she wasn't qualified and had to ask the office. Then, when I challenged her, she asked the office and they said refund him, of course. Next she would not return a copy of the receipt that I gave her from my records telling me "You didn't buy the keys , you don't get the receipt." I gave her the original and a copy I made. I need my copy of the receipt to balance my credit card statement. At this point, I realized she was incompetent and decided to leave rather than get upset. Why was she too lazy to ask the office and expected me to pay for a key that did not work ? And why did she tell me a blatant untruth (lie) about MY copy of the receipt ? People like this ruin the customer experience. I was planning to buy a large safe from them but I just returned from Alpine Lock and Key and they were helpful and friendly. I'll take my business to Alpine rather than getting hazed by some arrogant and misinformed clerk.
