I lost my keys and fob. Toyota was going to charge me $200.00 for one fob and to program it. I also have to make an appointment.I bought 2 Fobs and one key from Amazon for $50.00,took them to Sure Lock. They cut the key, and programed both fobs for $100.00. All fobs and key worked perfectaly. I was a walk in and was on my way in 20 min. The service was great and efficient. Very satisfied. V.M.

After attempting to work with a locksmith closer to my home for a new car key/fob (he was never available...always said call me tomorrow, etc.) I was referred to Sure Lock & Key. Despite the fact that I had ordered a key with the wrong chip and Kyle would need to order the correct chip to use in my key, the process still only took 2 days from my initial contact. They are professional and quick - I did not get a lot of run around - just a quick assessment and solution to get me on the road again. Prices were MORE than fair. All in cost, I got 2 car key/fobs for about 50% of 1 key from the dealer!

They will open your lock, but don’t expect fair pricing or that they will get to you in a timely manner. I called and assumed I was calling a local locksmith, it says they are located in Kirkwood so I assumed the wait time wouldn’t be over 30 minutes. Don’t ever assume... I got a call from the locksmith saying he was on his way...I wait 20 minutes, call him again, and ask for an ETA. He says 10 minutes... 20 minutes later he is finally here. He estimates me over $200, when I got estimates for $85-100 at other places on the phone today, depending on if you need anything repaired or replaced. He said he would do it for $100. I know I am getting ripped off, but I need to get into my house. He sprays some wd-40 on the lock, uses his tools, and in less than 30 seconds it’s open. They do what you need them to, open a lock, but they know they have you by the balls. I would use another company if you want an upfront wait time estimate and a fair price. I will not be using this company in the future.

My door lock jammed this morning and the key would not work so I was locked out of my condo. I called around 8:30 and Tom was here a little after 9:00. I can't tell you how much I appreciated the quick service call. After he got the door open he replaced the door knob for me. He was very courteous, friendly and quick. I was stranded on a Monday night and no back up key to my car. Sure Lock & Key came to my rescue at 11pm. One of the owners came to my house and within 30 minutes I was able to drive my car again. The quality of my new key was unparalleled to what I received from a dealership. I have had my key from Sure Lock & Key for a year now and unlike some "car brand" it has held tough and not come apart. I will be forever grateful for what Sure Lock &a Key has done for me. The cost of the service they provide here is CHEAPER than going to a dealership and QUALITY IS HIGHER. Don't waste your time and money next time you're in a pickle-call them. You'll be glad you did!!

These guys are great. I had them cut and program a car key that I bought online (to save money). The dealer refused to do the work because I didn't buy their overpriced key and service. These guys did it cheaper and faster than the dealer anyway. I will definitely return next time I need car keys.

I just moved into my new home, and reached out to a few different locksmiths about getting my locks re-eyed. Sure Lock & Key was by far the quickest to respond, most informative AND their estimate was much lower than other quotes I received. Russ just stopped by this morning to get the work done and he was fantastic! Not only was he cheery and personable, but he also went above and beyond to give me advice on how to get my door to stop sticking and even finishing out a garage wall! I would absolutely recommend these guys - high quality work at a reasonable price, and fantastic customer service. I actually wish I had more work for them to do!

I purchased a Van with only one fey FOB. The car dealer wanted $407 for the FOB and programming. I ended up finding the FOB online for $135 and Sure was able to program it and cut the spare for around $80 in less than 5 minutes. The dealership told me i'd have to wait 1.5 hours. I would have just purchased the FOB here and saved myself some more time... Very professional, fast and reasonable; what more could you want?

I would recommend this place to anyone who lost his car's key. I have a lexus gs350 2014, and because it is a new model many keysmiths either could not help me or quoted a very high price. I got a new key here for my Lexus for half the price of the dealer with two years warranty. Including programming and emergrncy key cut .It is exactly similar to the original one. The staff is very nice and professional.

They provide wonderful service. My car key can't be duplicated by machines that can be found everywhere, but they do have the base for the key, and one key costs just $5. Also they cut key so quick like 3 minutes. Awesome.

I was given a verbal estimate, I added some extra's and did the math in my head and felt comfortable with what I thought would be a $250 maybe $300 job. They had some complexities with my job so the original hour to hour and a half time estimate turns into three plus hours. $250 became $515!

I honestly have yet to get the work done; I'll edit my review after the work is actually done. However, I wanted say that I called a couple other local places; they were found lacking. One had an automated message answer the phone. I have never had to change my locks before. Sure Lock and Key was helpful, knowledgeable, and asked me the right questions to help me describe my situation. They were prompt with offering an appointment time, not insulted when I told them I'd call them back once I figured everything out, and had comparable prices to other agencies. Overall, I think their customer service was pretty awesome.

I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I had a smart key made here for my Acura. I went in originally just to have a plain key made as a spare, but the salesmen convinced me to buy a smart key with a trunk opener for $100 extra. They took TWO HOURS to program the key to my car, so by that point I was in a big hurry and left, trusting that the employees would not lie to me. However, when I got home and tried the trunk opener, it did not work. I took it to an Acura dealer, thinking it was the car's fault, and they told me that no key will work electronically with an Acura unless it is an Acura key. The same for most car lines, including Acura's brother line Honda. I called Sure Lock & Key and once I told them the story, they said "Sorry we don't do refunds," and then HUNG UP. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN, but I would wish it on my worst enemy, because it was a HORRIBLE experience. Now I am out $165 for a plain key and will never see that money again. In person and on the phone, their service was a zero.
