I contacted Darin and got a quote for opening an antique dresser. Set up a time and they arrived on time and assessed the problem. Darin and his assistant Jon literately hand carved a barrel key to fit the dresser. They took pride in their work and are very accomplished in their trade. It was almost like they enjoyed the challenge of making the key to fit the lock. It works perfectly. They even took a picture of the key so that in the future if it was lost they could more easily make another. They charged the quoted amount. Very polite and honest tradesmen. I highly recommend them

So fast! They came within 15 minutes of our call (which is very much appreciated in cold weather). We were locked out of our house with all of our luggage after an international flight. Not long after their arrival, we were in (despite having a difficult lock)! So thankful for the fast service.

Brent came over and made minor repairs/stabilized an old-style lock for us, the price was outstanding compared to the closest local competitor, and he was very friendly and personable throughout. Time and again I've been given the run-around, the cold shoulder and the "we can't help you with that" line. Not from Darin, though. We called a dealership in regards to having keys made for an auction vehicle we had purchased that had no original keys to copy. They told us it would be about $95 out the door (which was probably an under inflated lie) HOWEVER the car would have to BE AT the dealership. Ok, makes sence, but I'd have to have it towed there. For around a hundred more bucks. Because of the obvious fact that, I had no keys in the first place. The dealership suggested Pop A Lock to us. Sceptical, I called to inquire. The guy was very open about the fact that they were booked solid for the following day or two so I'm glad I called in advance. It was a pretty busy day given that it was auction day at the local impound yards so everybody and their hillbilly uncle was wanting keys. They were prompt and called to let us know their ETA which was nice since I was working and needed to keep a look out for them. He quoted me a price on the phone that was much cheaper than the tow to the dealership PLUS the cost of the keying service. And that's exactly what I paid. Not a penny more. When I asked him how long the process took, he explained that it varies from car to car but for my specific vehicle, it would take about a half hour. Tops. And he would have been done in that time frame had I not been talking the side of his face off the whole time. My mistake! Anyhoo, I would definitely use this service again and I have actually referred some of my own customers to them since then!

If I could give negative stars I would. I got sent out a lock smith that was supposed to be at my place by 5:30PM but at 5:20 I received a call saying it would be another half an hour to 45 minutes because the appointments got pushed back. Okay, I am an understanding person but shouldn't someone call the rest of the appointments that are behind and let those customers know? Also the person whom took that call had no knowledge that because of my truck being older than 10 years it would need to be "decoded" which added almost $200 to what they told me on the phone. I proceeded to have the supervisor call me she explained and offered to take $40 off my bill. When I said I cannot do it, she said I needed to pay the tech to at least come out which would be $20. I proceeded to tell her because of the horrid customer service I was not paying even that and she hung up on me. Im sorry but that is completely rude.
