My teen accidentally locked the keys in the car while it was still running. I called A-1 Locksmith Service LLC in Grand Rapids and they quickly took my information. A few minutes later the locksmith called and said he was on his way. Within about 15 minutes he was at our house and had the car unlocked moments later. The price was pretty reasonable and the service was excellent! I hope I won’t be needing a locksmith any time soon, but if ever the case, I will be definitely calling A-1!

He unlocked my car BUT: Said they would be there in 15 minutes - took almost 30. The guy who showed up was rude and sketchy. He showed up in a beat up old car and had a ski mask on his face that he never took off. There was nothing making him or his car as an A-1 locksmith employee. At one point he said "I need this incase you try to rob me so that they know where I am and who I'm with." I don't even know what he was referring to. I was creeped out and couldn't wait to get in my car and leave.

My car key unfortunately will not open my car, so when I locked my car on accident 30 min before work I was stressed out. I called around to other locksmiths, one place said they'd be here in 8 hrs or so, at that point I would just have to call off of work! A-1 popped up in google so I called they answered promptly and took care of me. Desmond made it out to my house in 20 min and it took him 30 sec to open my car. Very professional and nice, I will always use and recommend A-1 as the best locksmith in town! Thanks Desmond!

The locksmith (Desmond) was at our new house to change out all of the locks within twenty minutes from the time I called A-1 this Saturday. From the very beginning the front door's deadbolt proved to be FAR more challenging than either of us had anticipated, but he kept plugging away at it and was able to have it changed out along with the four other locks on the house. He admitted to never seeing a deadbolt quite like the one that proved so challenging, but in the end he did an excellent job finding a solution--even if it meant calling for locksmith "backup" at 5:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Toward the end I was a bit concerned that the deadbolt troubles would have significantly raised the final bill, but I was happily surprised at the reasonable charge at the end. Desmond was a great guy to work with, and I would gladly recommend him and A-1 to anyone.

Last fall, I walked away from my table at a bar for about 15 minutes, and returned to find my car keys missing. The bartender explained he'd found them- but had already given them away to some drunkard! After a day or two of calling back the bar and other businesses in the area to no avail, I called around and learned A-1 would be able to make a new key on the spot. They arrived, as promised within 30 min of my initial call, and about 30 min after that had fabricated a new key for my vehicle. The price was very reasonable for their immediate turnaround, if you're ever in a similar bind call that A-1 !

A-1 was the third "24 hour" locksmith I called, and the only one who answered on a Sunday. They were very fast and helpful. Pat took down my information and explained to me what would have to be done to replace my lost key. When Desmond, the locksmith, got there the snow was so bad that he had to park nearly two blocks away. Even after walking through the snow he was super pleasant, and fixed my problem really quickly. I would definitely recommend A-1 for anyone's lock and key problems.

I locked my keys in my car at my house. After calling roadside assistance with Geico I was left without any help. I was told all companies were unavailable and that I might try contacting my local police dept. that sometimes the police are trained to unlock cars. After several hours I finally found a company who was willing to drive 45 minutes to help me. I was outside their area but they still helped. It was late and dark outside but Ross was friendly and helpful. He was able to open my car quickly. I am thankful they agreed to help. He was professional. The staff I talked to on the phone was kind and helpful. I highly recommend them. I will be using them in the future and will recommend them to all!

I locked myself out of my house and contacted them to pick the lock on my door. Within fifteen minuted -probably closer to ten- someone was at my house and the door was unlocked five minutes later. The locked was saved and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing I can't vouch for is the price. It was $80 and I have no clue whether that is good or bad as this was the only company I contacted.

I have been very impressed with A-1. Twice I have needed to hire a locksmith to change locks because of area break-ins. The first time was in the evening. I didn't have much hope of finding anyone that could come out quickly, or that would even be open after 5:00. A few phone calls confirmed this. Finally, I came across the number for A-1. I called and not only were they open, but they were able to come out that night and install the new locks. They were very friendly and professional, the work was done well, and I was very pleased. The second time I called A-1 was on a weekend and was also for a lock change. My experience was just as good as the first time. They were open, they were able to come out right away, and they were very professional. I would hire them again without hesitation.

This was the worst and most expensive lock company I have ever experienced. My husband and I left for our honeymoon and parked our car at a hotel that would shuttle us to the airport. When we got home our key fob wouldn't work, so we had his parents pick us up since it was late. They live an hour away. We call the company the next day and explained the situation and they said give us a call when you are back at the car and we will drive out there. We drive an hour back to the car and then they tell us it is going to be an hour and a half wait for them to get there. Thay turned into 4 hours of waiting and once they finally arrived the new fob wouldn't work so they said to come back the next day. Mind you, this is during the week so everyone has to work. The next day took another 3 hours and they still charged us full price. Not happy, horrible service and communication.

I have never experienced such terrible customer service. The company's business card stated 24/7 lock out services. I locked my keys in the car in Grand Rapids and they stated no one could service me because they were only servicing downtown. I then asked if she could refer another place and she asked if I went on Google with an attitude. I told her no, they were the first service I called. She then asked if I googled a service she named and once again I told her I had not been on Google. Her attitude was horrible and I will never use this service again and neither will anyone I recommend a lock service to in Grand Rapids.

These guys are magnificent!! First, they came out on a Saturday night at 9:30 and what was to be a short, quick fix turned out to be quite a long ordeal but they stayed, fixed everything and were extremely pleasant. But it gets better... he ended up having to take off the exterior door handle and file down the key all while their radiator in their car blew. I will most certainly use them in the future for lockout service again!! I'm also going to use them to get my locks replaced in the near future. Quick transaction as well. Very great, polite, professional, good people!!

I managed to lock the only key to the padlock on our film crew's grip truck the last day of a three week shoot. It was an hour and a half until call time and i had already ruined a pair of bolt cutters and exhausted the rest if my knowledge of locks (none) to no avail.
